[0:04] to choose a digital notes app as your
[0:06] second brain it's kind of a mouthful
[0:08] um
[0:11] i'm really excited to to show you what
[0:13] i've come up with
[0:15] just to give some context behind this
[0:17] you know around five years ago when i
[0:19] first started writing about digital
[0:21] notes and knowledge management this
[0:23] wasn't a thing you had to worry about
[0:25] this wasn't really a big
[0:27] a big choice to make because it was
[0:29] really just evernote there were a few
[0:31] others here and there
[0:32] but i remember going to the evernote
[0:34] conference i think it was the last
[0:36] conference they ever did in like 2000
[0:38] and i want to say 14.
[0:40] and it was like a rock concert people
[0:43] were uh dancing and there was music and
[0:45] david allen was the keynote speaker and
[0:48] there was swag and it was this it was
[0:50] sort of this uh this huge event that
[0:53] people were super excited by
[0:55] uh and then evernote kind of went into
[0:57] its its difficulties over the past years
[1:00] and i think that's actually been good
[1:02] for the for the topic for the field
[1:04] because we've seen this incredible
[1:05] explosion i mean it's really like a it's
[1:08] like a cornucopia feast
[1:10] of different not just notes apps but
[1:13] knowledge management information
[1:14] management apps in general
[1:17] and it's really amazing really there's a
[1:19] flavor to suit any taste that you can
[1:21] imagine
[1:22] but then that's created a new a new
[1:24] issue right which is you have to choose
[1:27] you have to choose which of these
[1:30] communities these user bases which of
[1:32] these ways of life
[1:34] are you going to commit to
[1:37] and i part of my intenti
