[0:00] or four weeks or six weeks can sit out
[0:03] again. Has anybody ever in history seen
[0:05] this? Isn't it always that after he
[0:08] takes power? Fujimi is uh the gentleman
[0:11] who said before publicly, Peru needs an
[0:16] emperor.
[0:17] He needs uh a 10year emperor at least.
[0:23] I'm not proposing myself, but I'm
[0:25] stating the idea. He said that in a in a
[0:28] speech a few months ago.
[0:30] >> Well, what's not being said in Peru
[0:32] right out loud, but and it certainly
[0:34] hasn't been reported in the United
[0:35] States, but there is in Peru a dangerous
[0:38] tendency to look south to Chile to the
[0:40] Pinoche experiment. And for years, I've
[0:43] heard people saying in Peru, we need
[0:45] another pinch.
[0:46] >> When you say people, which people?
[0:49] business people, um, people educated,
[0:52] >> educated people of some affluence, but
[0:54] also cab drivers and shopkeepers.
[0:56] There's a frustration with the system
[0:58] and in societies of this type, there's
[1:00] always a potential for certain
[1:02] authoritarian streak in the culture. But
[1:05] the problem is that Chile isn't Peru.
[1:07] Peru isn't Chile. And let's not forget
[1:09] that what happened in Chile happened at
[1:11] an enormous human cost, an enormous
[1:13] moral cost, which that country is still
[1:15] sorting out. But even so, I don't see uh
[1:18] Mr. Fuji Marty as replicating the
[1:20] Peruvian this Chilean experiment.
