[0:02] >> This is NBC Nightly News
[0:05] with John Chancellor in New York and
[0:07] commentary by David Brinkley.
[0:10] >> Good evening. The students in Iran put
[0:12] 10 more American hostages on display

[1:25] We're all very concerned about their
[1:27] welfare.
[1:28] They're very good friends of ours.
[1:30] We want you to understand
[1:33] that we feel
[1:35] that if this issue was resolved
[1:38] by the President of the United States
[1:40] and the rest,
[1:42] the rest of the hostages will be
[1:44] released.
[1:45] >> An embassy contractor expressed sympathy
[1:47] for the Iranian view that President
[1:49] Carter should return the Shah to Iran.
