[9:55] Lord because he deserves it we we don't

[9:59] deserve anything but we ought to thank

[10:03] testimonies we have two different times

[10:05] tonight we'll take some testimonies we

[10:07] had some extra special music playing but

[10:09] circumstances happened they weren't able

[10:10] to make it tonight and so we're going to

[10:13] have a couple different times of

[10:15] testimony and looking forward to what

[10:17] God has in store for us so I need

[10:18] someone to start us off tonight uh with

[10:21] a testimony tonight Mr Obie right there

[10:30] I've been saved year and the message

[10:32] that that brother peon preached on it it

[10:35] it was in the call to Glory today and I

[10:38] tell you what God had just he just been

[10:41] blessing me even though that I do got

[10:47] love the Lord and I love my church

[11:36] s that whole nursing home up with

[11:40] singing I had 13 people

[11:43] amen so I'm G to start singing more amen

[11:46] maybe more of them come right and then

[11:49] with that age group it's sort of like

[11:53] preaching

[11:54] to adults that you know they've been

[11:57] kind of bored all week get in there and

[12:00] get

[12:02] pick kind of make it fny for get laugh

[12:06] and each week it just gets better and

[12:09] better amen God shows me more ways how

[12:11] to reach the people and at first you

[12:15] were seeing them just kind of you know

[12:17] being M and dopy the way I see it but

[12:20] then now they're kind of Jumpy and P

[12:24] amen and so it's really a blessing to go

[12:29] amen because it blesses me right and I'm

[12:32] very thankful and you know you what you

[12:35] so one of these days when I'm in there

[12:37] maybe some crazy preacher coming amen ja

[13:54] that I need to be what he wants me

[13:59] encourages me I thank God I've learned

[14:01] so much since I've been saved and U I've

[14:06] grown a

[14:09] lot a lot of differents I thank God that

[14:11] he's

[14:13] stilling and if youever feel depressed

[14:17] up yeah because God got you

[14:21] reason it's all for his glory for his

[14:24] honor keep going no matter what anybody

[14:27] else does get on your

[14:29] come before him he'll talk yeah and

[14:32] he'll show you what he's trying to do

[25:33] chosen uh by the different groups to

[25:35] sing that that'd be a central theme but

[25:38] God did we ought to be thankful for the

[25:41] blood of Jesus

[25:43] Christ tonight I've been praying for

[25:46] weeks about what the Lord have you

[25:47] preach on a praise night and so I have a

[25:51] 13 minute

[25:55] introduction that's in video format

[25:59] because tonight I'd like to preach you a

[26:01] message here in just a few moments about

[26:05] thankful for my church

[26:08] family thankful for my church family

[26:11] back in

[26:12] 2017 brother Samuel ship and I spent a

[26:15] lot of

[26:16] time categorizing and recalling the

[26:20] history of Bible Baptist Church and so

[26:24] Bible Baptist church today is here

[26:27] because because of the Bible Baptist

[26:29] Churches of yester year and so some of

[26:33] you have seen this some of you have not

[26:36] so this video is 17

[26:40] 2017 is when we created this video but

[26:44] I've been praying about and God put on

[26:46] my heart just to remind us about God's

[26:52] church that has the name Bible Baptist

[26:55] Church and how we got here today so you

[26:59] pay attention to the video tonight as

[27:01] the introduction into the

[27:14] message the Bible Baptist Church of

[27:16] eleno Oklahoma had its beginning in

[27:18] March

[27:19] 1937 when the Reverend s Lee kid who

[27:23] also became the first Pastor began

[27:25] holding services in his home at 1205 set

[27:28] drive at that time the church functioned

[27:31] as a mission under the sponsorship of

[27:33] Bible Baptist Church Oklahoma City

[27:36] Oklahoma Reverend HC onbe pastored there

[27:40] were only three people in attendance for

[27:42] the first Sunday school and the offering

[27:44] for the day totaled a whopping 20 cents

[27:48] an open air Revival which was held on a

[27:50] lot at the intersection of Bickford and

[27:52] pin began on May 18th

[27:55] 1937 records indicate that the meeting

[27:58] continued through the early part of

[28:00] September during that 15we period 35

[28:03] people were saved and there were 21

[28:05] additions to the church as well as many

[28:09] rededication the first record we find of

[28:11] a baptismal service tells us that the

[28:13] event took place on September the 6

[28:16] 1937 at Dr wh Martin's tank the tank was

[28:21] located one in a half miles east on

[28:23] Foreman Road then one mile North and one

[28:26] quter East Dr Martin was a local

[28:29] veterinarian on December 19th

[28:33] 1937 Bible Baptist was formerly

[28:35] organized and no longer termed to

[28:37] Mission Bible Baptist officially became

[28:40] a church for the glory of God and the

[28:43] salvation of souls on December the 19th

[28:48] 1937 a Revival was conducted in the

[28:51] early

[28:52] 1938 during this four-week campaign

[28:55] three services were held on Sundays with

[28:57] the actor afternoon Services being a

[28:59] Citywide rally there were more than 60

[29:02] salvations and additions to the church

[29:05] December 18th 1938 marked the first

[29:09] anniversary of the organization of the

[29:11] church it is recorded that the

[29:13] membership at that time exceeded 200

[29:15] people there had been more than 300

[29:17] professions of faith and over 100

[29:20] baptisms with 20 people waiting largest

[29:23] Sunday School attendance was 165 people

[29:29] in July of

[29:31] 1939 David a Cavin became the pastor of

[29:34] the Bible Baptist Church during the

[29:36] 1940s a lot of exciting things were

[29:39] happening at Bible Baptist Church in

[29:41] 1941 the church voted unanimously to

[29:44] purchase the property on Sunset

[29:46] Boulevard the cost of the property was

[29:50] $99,000 later on in September of the

[29:52] same year the church dedicated in a new

[29:55] addition it's also recorded on that day

[29:58] that they had their first baptismal

[30:00] service in the church's brand new

[30:02] baptistry in August of

[30:04] 1944 we have the record that the church

[30:07] purchased air conditioners the cost was

[30:11] $1,150 and in 1944 it was said that

[30:15] Bible Baptist Church was one of the only

[30:17] churches in town with refrigerated air

[30:20] also in 1944 new pews were installed in

[30:24] September in November of 1945 the

[30:27] congregation unanimously voted to buy

[30:29] the church's first bus this 20x10 42

[30:33] passenger Ford was purchased in January

[30:36] 1946 at the cost of

[30:40] $3,122 in

[30:42] 1946 Bible Baptist may have started the

[30:45] church bus Ministry in El Reno news

[30:48] people articles advertised the only

[30:50] church in eleno that provides free

[30:52] transportation to and from services on

[30:56] that first Sunday that the bus is ran

[30:58] it's reported that a total of 131 people

[31:01] took advantage of the new service on

[31:04] Sunday January 6th

[31:07] 1946 attendance in Sunday school on

[31:09] April 21st was 395 people 1947 marked

[31:15] another milestone in the history of

[31:17] Bible Baptist for that year a not

[31:19] burning ceremony was held and for the

[31:21] time the church was debt

[31:24] free the pastor conducted a New Year's

[31:27] Revival was scheduled to run the first

[31:29] two weeks in 1948 but was extended an

[31:32] extra week due to an unusual spiritual

[31:36] response Articles of Incorporation for

[31:38] Bible Baptist were signed on December

[31:40] the 4th

[31:42] 1949 and an early 6 day April Revival

[31:45] was conducted by Brother Art Wilson in

[31:47] wital Kansas and a dedicated and

[31:50] groundbreaking service for the new

[31:53] building was held on July 2nd October

[31:56] the 8th of 1949 mark the pastor's final

[31:58] service at Bible Baptist he had resigned

[32:01] and accepted the pastor of the

[32:03] Castleberry Baptist in Forth Worth Texas

[32:06] the mortgage on the church pars was

[32:08] burned at that special meeting leaving

[32:10] it debt free for the incoming Pastor in

[32:13] October Reverend William T Savage was

[32:15] called as the pastor of the church

[32:19] during the 1950s under the leadership of

[32:22] William T Savage the church was exciting

[32:24] and going through some transitions again

[32:27] in 19 52 a complete remodel of the

[32:30] building was completed with the brick

[32:32] exterior throughout the 50s Revival

[32:34] meetings were held with preaching by Dr

[32:36] Hart Wilson j boy Davis John Carrera and

[32:40] others in November of

[32:43] 1960 Brother Art Dunham was called as

[32:46] pastor of the Bible Baptist Church in El

[32:48] Reno brother Dunham served for just a

[32:51] short period of time and on October the

[32:53] 1st

[32:54] 1961 brother Joe heble was called to

[32:57] serve as the new pastor of Bible Baptist

[32:59] Church and beginning in 1962 the Sunday

[33:02] morning Services were broadcasted on

[33:05] oro's new radio station brother heble

[33:08] resigned as Pastor in February

[33:10] 1967 and in March Brother Don BS was

[33:13] called to replace it brother BS led the

[33:16] church to begin in participating in

[33:18] faith promise missions giving when the

[33:20] first annual Faith promised missions

[33:22] Conference was held in November in

[33:24] December of 1969 at the second faith

[33:27] promis missions conference Pastor B

[33:29] surrendered to the mission field and

[33:31] resigned in order to fulfill that

[33:34] calling that God had placed upon his

[33:37] life in 1970 brother John Aldridge was

[33:40] called To Succeed Pastor BS as Pastor a

[33:44] 5day week radio broadcast on oreno

[33:46] station KR was begun on March of

[33:49] 1970 a large billboard type sign

[33:52] advertising the church was erected on

[33:54] the south side of Interstate 40

[33:56] approximately 2 miles east of Country

[33:59] Club Road in 1972 a note burning

[34:02] ceremony was held signifying that the

[34:04] church and Sunday school buildings were

[34:06] free of debt daily Vacation Bible School

[34:09] was conducted in July with assemblies

[34:12] held under the big top a large tent was

[34:14] erected in the back of the church

[34:16] parking area and a circus theme used for

[34:18] the entire School clowns were present to

[34:21] help with singing and after the closing

[34:23] session hundreds of balloons were

[34:24] released in recognition of Pastor Al fth

[34:27] anniversary as Pastor Bible Baptist

[34:30] Church held a special service on

[34:32] February 2nd

[34:34] 1975 attendance on this day was

[34:37] 463 people in June Bible Baptist served

[34:41] as headquarters for the two we Citywide

[34:44] here's life El Reno campaign 10

[34:47] telephones were installed in the

[34:48] fellowship hall and for three hours each

[34:50] evening people from Bible Baptist and

[34:52] many other churches in town met to make

[34:55] telephone contacts the goal was to call

[34:58] every number in the eleno phone book

[35:00] witnessing to people and try to win them

[35:02] to the Lord by the end of the campaign

[35:04] also known as I found it at least 40

[35:07] people had accepted Christ and over

[35:10] 2,100 calls had been made on June 4th

[35:14] 1978 the membership voted to build a new

[35:16] building and on October 22nd it decided

[35:20] to relocate and the church voted to

[35:22] purchase 10 acres of land on South

[35:24] Country Club Road price paid for the

[35:26] property was $775,000

[35:29] in December

[35:31] 1979 the final payment was made on the

[35:34] new property and then membership

[35:36] unanimously approved the basic plan for

[35:38] the new building the cost was to be

[35:40] approximately

[35:42] $400,000 which included the architect's

[35:45] fee the interior finish and pews 1980

[35:48] was an exciting year for Bible Baptists

[35:50] in January the membership voted to

[35:52] finance the building program by the

[35:54] conventional loan method groundbreaking

[35:57] for the new new building was held in

[35:58] March with Dr da Cavin as special

[36:01] speaker following the morning services

[36:03] at the old location 1205 Sunset Drive

[36:06] the entire congregation moved to the new

[36:08] building site for the ceremony in May

[36:11] construction began also in May Victory

[36:14] Baptist Church bought the old church

[36:16] property the final service in the

[36:18] building at 1205 Sunset Drive was held

[36:21] on August 31st 1980 the new facility was

[36:26] not yet ready by the time Victory

[36:27] Baptist was to occupy the old building

[36:30] so Services were held at the eleno

[36:32] junior college student center for

[36:34] several weeks the first services in the

[36:36] new church were held in September there

[36:38] were as yet no locks on the doors which

[36:41] necessitated someone being there at all

[36:43] times brother Aldridge and brother Jolly

[36:46] alternately spent 24 hours a day in the

[36:48] building until it could be secured a

[36:51] special dedication service was conducted

[36:54] the evening of September

[36:56] 19th in

[36:58] 1982 Pastor Aldridge resigned following

[37:02] that a missionary for three years in

[37:04] Vancouver British Columbia Canada

[37:06] Brother Gary Jane was called to be

[37:08] pastor of Bible Baptist Church in

[37:10] Areno the parsonage sold outright and

[37:13] the West five acres of the property was

[37:15] sold to the eleno junor college and

[37:18] money received from both paid off the

[37:20] church debt in 1985 brother Haren eut

[37:23] was called as Pastor throughout the

[37:25] 1980s the Youth Department grew in

[37:27] number and in spiritual growth Vacation

[37:30] Bible schools missions conferences and

[37:32] summer camps continued to strengthen the

[37:35] Outreach and faithfulness of the members

[37:37] and their families in

[37:39] 1992 the church called brother Steve

[37:42] ostein as Pastor in 1994 the church

[37:45] began giving sacrificially for the

[37:47] construction of the family center also

[37:50] that year stea was built by one of our

[37:52] church members and was added to the

[37:54] auditorium roof a church van was bought

[37:56] in 199 6 and in 1997 the garage was

[38:00] constructed by the churchmen to house

[38:02] the van and the lawn equipment in 1998

[38:05] construction began on the Family Center

[38:07] various men in the congregation donated

[38:10] many hours of Labor using their skills

[38:12] to save labor cost and to finish the

[38:14] interior the family center was completed

[38:17] and began to be use in February of

[38:20] 2001 in 2003 the auditorium was

[38:24] completely remodeled with new carpet and

[38:26] Pew covers as well as removing some of

[38:28] the old wood paneling on the walls

[38:31] throughout the early years of the 21st

[38:32] century the bus and children's ministry

[38:34] continued to thrive with family

[38:36] festivals kids Crusades and Vacation

[38:39] Bible School in 2005 a new church sign

[38:42] was installed with a lighted Marquee and

[38:45] in October of 2006 Pastor Brian troll

[38:49] was called to be the pastor of Bible

[38:51] Baptist Church he continued in that role

[38:54] until October of 2015

[38:59] in February of

[39:01] 2016 our current pastor Pastor Adam

[39:03] Pearson became the pastor of Bible

[39:05] Baptist Church the history of Bible

[39:08] Baptist Church has been to preach the

[39:09] truth of God's word without apology and

[39:12] to carry out the Great Commission by

[39:14] spreading the gospel to this community

[39:17] and to the surrounding areas as well as

[39:19] around the world today our pastor is

[39:22] leading Bible Baptist in the same

[39:24] direction as the former leadership has

[39:26] throughout the past 80 years 2017 has

[39:30] been a year of renewed strength and a

[39:33] focus to be a disciple of Christ and to

[39:35] disciple others to follow him likewise

[39:38] as always Outreach Fellowship youth

[39:41] rallies camps special meetings missions

[39:44] conferences are still a vital part of

[39:46] the spiritual growth of our members new

[39:49] families have been added to the

[39:50] congregation we've seen numerous

[39:52] visitors from our community the desire

[39:54] of Bible Baptist Church is to continue

[39:57] to be a pillar of the truth to the city

[39:59] of eleno the entire facility and its

[40:02] contents are completely paid for and

[40:04] stand as a testament God's faithfulness

[40:07] to his faithful stewards to God be the

[40:10] glory great things he has done and we

[40:13] want to continue on to magnify the Lord

[40:16] and to preach the word of God because

[40:19] here at Bible Baptist Church we believe

[40:21] that God's word changes lives it has for

[40:26] 80 years and it will continue on to make

[40:29] the Bible our sole Authority for Faith

[40:32] and

[40:43] practice if you were here in 2017 would

[40:48] you raise your hand you were here in

[40:51] 2017 all right praise the Lord amen and

[40:55] some of you were not here in 2017 we're

[40:58] thankful for you

[40:59] too in Ephesians

[41:02] tonight the word of God talks about the

[41:06] church I want to draw your attention to

[41:09] it

[41:12] tonight because Bible Baptist would not

[41:15] be

[41:16] here if it wasn't for members throughout

[41:19] generation after generation after

[41:23] generation in Ephesians chapter 4 and

[41:27] verse number 11 the Bible says this and

[41:30] he gave some Apostles and some prophets

[41:34] and some evangelists and some pastors

[41:36] and teachers for the perfecting of the

[41:39] Saints for the work of the ministry for

[41:42] the edifying of the body of Christ till

[41:45] we all come in the unity of the faith

[41:48] and of the knowledge of the Son of God

[41:50] unto a perfect man unto the measure of

[41:53] the stature of the fullness of Christ

[41:56] that we h henceforth be no more children

[41:59] tossed to and fro and carried about with

[42:02] every wind of Doctrine by the slight of

[42:05] men and cutting craftiness whereby they

[42:09] lie in waight to deceive but speaking

[42:12] the truth in love may grow up into him

[42:17] in all things which is the head even

[42:21] Christ from whom the whole body fitly

[42:27] joined together and compacted by that

[42:32] which every joint

[42:34] supplieth according to the effectual

[42:37] working in the measure of every part

[42:42] maketh the maketh increase of the body

[42:46] unto the edifying of

[42:49] itself in

[42:52] love thankful for the church family

[42:57] 1937 when this church

[43:01] began I don't think anybody was

[43:05] here that's currently

[43:09] living but they help us to be here

[43:14] today I'm thankful for those who were

[43:17] here in 1937 and 1938 and 1939 that

[43:21] helped establish the church I'm thankful

[43:24] for a church that in 1946 there was was

[43:27] a bus Ministry that started and uh since

[43:30] that video was made we've done some

[43:32] investigating it is believed to be that

[43:35] Bible Baptist Church in 1946 started the

[43:37] bus Ministry in

[43:39] Oklahoma not just in the city of eleno

[43:41] but in the whole state of Oklahoma and

[43:44] so uh we've been running the buses and

[43:47] bringing people to church since

[43:49] 1946 and uh we think about faith promise

[43:53] missions and when a pastor comes and has

[43:55] a faith promise missions called

[43:57] conference and then the second one

[43:58] surrenders to go to the mission field

[44:00] we'd see a heart for Missions and since

[44:03] 1946 our or 1960 there we've been

[44:07] involved in faith promise missions

[44:10] giving and there were missionaries who

[44:12] went to the field in the 60s because

[44:15] there were church members who helped

[44:17] them get there at that time and now we

[44:21] fast forward to

[44:23] 2024 and getting ready to go into

[44:26] 2025 and we're going to continue to do

[44:28] the same things we're going to continue

[44:30] to run buses we're going to continue to

[44:32] have songs we're going to continue to

[44:33] have vacation bible school we're going

[44:35] to continue to be involved in missions

[44:37] we're going to continue in all those

[44:40] things I don't know if you caught the

[44:42] pronoun or not that we are going to

[44:46] continue uh the building that was built

[44:48] in 1937 on Sunset wasn't Bible Baptist

[44:51] Church it's where Bible Baptist Church

[44:54] met the building here that was made

[44:56] built in in

[44:57] 1980 is the facility that houses the

[45:00] Bible Baptist church on Sunday and so

[45:03] the churches yans and usens and weans

[45:06] and we're we're the church and we ought

[45:08] to be thankful for the church family and

[45:10] the Bible tells us that God gave some

[45:13] Apostles some pastors some prophets some

[45:16] Pastor teachers H for the purpose of for

[45:19] perfecting of the Saints to grow up to

[45:22] mature in the

[45:23] Lord I guess I could say it this way God

[45:27] says he gave you a

[45:30] pastor I guess that means I'm a gift I

[45:33] don't know how good of a gift but I'm a

[45:35] gift it could be a bad gift but it's a

[45:38] gift and it and it's from God now listen

[45:41] God gave a pastor and so because God

[45:43] gave the pastor and my job as a pastor

[45:45] is to edify the body of Christ to equip

[45:49] those to help in the ministry of

[45:52] perfecting the Saints and and it says

[45:54] how long do we do that well look at

[45:56] verse 13

[45:57] till we

[45:58] all till we all

[46:02] come in

[46:04] the unity of the faith and of the

[46:07] knowledge of the Son of God unto a

[46:10] perfect man unto the measure of that

[46:12] stature of the fullness of Christ well

[46:14] how long till everybody is like

[46:17] Christ when is that going to be when we

[46:19] all get to heaven so until we get to

[46:22] heaven guess what we get to do we get to

[46:24] edify one another we got to build up one

[46:27] another we got to put a effort and

[46:29] emphasis in building one another why

[46:31] that we henceforth be no more children

[46:34] God's Church isn't to act like kids

[46:36] God's church is to mature God's church

[46:39] is to do what's right we need no more

[46:41] children tossed to and fro carried about

[46:43] with every wind of Doctrine by the

[46:45] slight of men and cunning craftiness

[46:47] whereby they lie and wait to deceive but

[46:50] what are we supposed to do well verse 15

[46:52] speak the truth in love and that we may

[46:56] grow

[46:57] up into him in all things which is the

[47:01] head even Christ so Christ wants us all

[47:04] to grow up that means we're all not

[47:07] grown ups

[47:08] yet we're still in the process of growth

[47:12] and we're all growing up together and

[47:14] we're all edifying one another verse 16

[47:17] from whom well who's the whom well it's

[47:20] Christ

[47:21] Christ put the whole body fitly joined

[47:26] together

[47:28] since I've been the pastor here since

[47:29] 2016 we have had one major prayer my

[47:33] wife and I have prayed this often we

[47:34] continue to pray this even to this day

[47:37] that God will give us the people that he

[47:39] wants and God will keep away all the

[47:42] people that he doesn't want and that's

[47:44] our heart's desire but guess what that

[47:49] means here comes the good part we've

[47:52] been praying that God would bring you

[47:56] here and keep you

[47:57] here everybody here God brought you

[48:02] here everybody here God wants you here

[48:07] everybody here were joined together by

[48:14] God every

[48:16] person every

[48:19] personality

[48:21] every

[48:23] weirdness God put us all together

[48:27] because watch this the church is not

[48:29] made up of one individual the church is

[48:31] made up of a group of

[48:33] individuals and God fitly joined them

[48:36] all together and compacted it says by

[48:40] that which every joint

[48:43] supplieth every joint in the church

[48:46] every piece of the church family God put

[48:49] you here and he put you here with a

[48:54] purpose and you're to supply the purpose

[48:57] that God put you here for so every joint

[49:01] supplieth every person that's here God's

[49:04] got a plan for it and so I have an

[49:07] illustration tonight so Brother Sam will

[50:08] closely personalities are

[50:12] different but the effectual working that

[50:16] we have together accomplishes much for

[50:19] the cause of

[50:21] Christ so God put these two men and I'm

[50:24] thankful for them because they help me

[50:27] as Pastor ad minister in the spiritual

[50:29] needs of the church they give counsel to

[50:32] their Pastor to help them and one may be

[50:35] louder than the

[50:37] other and that's okay one may be quieter

[50:41] than the other and that's

[50:43] okay because it's not about their

[50:46] personality it's that watch this all

[50:48] three together are stronger together

[50:50] than we are

[50:52] apart and so I'm very thankful for the

[50:56] deacons that that God gave me even

[50:59] though personalities are different even

[51:02] though actions of how they may do things

[51:06] would be different because they come

[51:09] together with the Lord and with me guess

[51:13] what they help with the effectual

[51:15] working the perfecting of the Saints the

[51:18] equipping of the Brethren and so I'm

[51:21] thankful

[51:22] now you came back in 2020

[51:27] and he's been here since Noah and the

[51:30] Ark not quite but pretty close but I'm

[51:34] thankful for

[51:38] him and I don't always do

[51:41] good at thinking the officers like I

[51:44] should because most of the time when

[51:46] everything's going good we don't have to

[51:48] talk a whole lot and when there's

[51:51] difficulty that's when we have to talk

[51:53] more but I'm thankful for faithful

[51:57] men who've been here because if it

[51:59] wasn't for Faithful Men before

[52:02] me we wouldn't be here

[52:06] today now for those that don't

[52:10] know brother ship the last eight

[52:14] months has been in a uh season of

[52:20] letting off the gas

[52:21] pedal CU when I came his gas pedal was

[52:24] all the way down in multiple Ministries

[52:26] and I'm so thankful for

[52:28] that but I'm thankful he doesn't have to

[52:30] keep it there but you know sometimes he

[52:32] does he likes that and I'm very thankful

[52:35] for

[52:36] that

[52:38] and I just want to remind the church

[52:41] family every piece of the church family

[52:45] is

[52:47] important from the deacons to the people

[52:49] work in the nursery every every

[52:51] joint every every piece is so vitally

[52:55] important

[52:57] and I'm thankful for men who help me and

[53:01] encourage me and pray for me as pastor

[53:05] and sometimes you won't always see them

[53:09] or hear

[53:10] them but they're

[53:12] there so every member of the church may

[53:16] have a different personality so I picked

[53:18] on these two guys because I get the

[53:22] extremes a quiet personality and a not

[53:26] quiet

[53:29] personality but both of these men have a

[53:32] heart for this church this church family

[53:35] and for the Lord and I'm very thankful

[53:38] for them you guys can be seated thank

[53:41] you appreciate you

[53:44] both I'm thankful for what God's doing

[53:46] in our church family and I'm thankful

[53:49] for these men being

[53:52] faithful now tonight I got good news I'm

[53:55] not bringing up everybody to the

[53:56] platform to use you as

[53:58] illustrations aren't you thankful for

[54:01] that but as your pastor I'm thankful

[54:05] that God brought

[54:06] you and some of you were here before me

[54:09] I'm thankful you were here before me and

[54:10] you're still here I'm thankful for you

[54:14] every single one of you I really am you

[54:17] say well I don't know about that I

[54:19] really am thankful because God put every

[54:22] joint

[54:24] together every person that's here today

[54:28] God put you here today and I'm thankful

[54:30] God put you here and you may say well I

[54:33] don't feel very important you are

[54:35] because God put you

[54:37] here and as a pastor I just want to

[54:39] thank God for our church family every

[54:43] piece of it every piece God brought it

[54:47] together so we're compacted together

[54:50] according to the effectual working in

[54:54] the measure of every part God wants

[54:58] every church member to have an

[55:00] effect God put you here and God's got a

[55:03] plan for you and God wants to use each

[55:05] and every single one of you so I thank

[55:09] God for our church

[55:10] family sometimes you may not feel

[55:13] thanked but you

[55:16] are we appreciate every one of you we're

[55:19] thankful for every one of you and

[55:22] tonight let me encourage you we ought to

[55:26] Ed

[55:27] ify look at the end of the verse the

[55:30] increase of the body unto the edifying

[55:33] of

[55:35] itself the church ought to build up

[55:38] itself in love there ought to be a

[55:41] spirit of love in the church we ought to

[55:45] care for one

[55:48] another so let me encourage it if you

[55:50] don't feel loved you are

[55:53] loved if you feel loved you're loved

[55:57] but also let's make sure we let other

[55:59] people know that we love them and we're

[56:02] thankful for them and we appreciate

[56:04] every

[56:06] joint most of the time people don't pay

[56:10] too much attention to their pinky toe

[56:12] until they stub it and then it really

[56:16] hurts and tonight you may feel like

[56:19] you're just a pinky

[56:21] toe but you're vitally important to the

[56:24] work of Bible Baptist Church

[56:27] there are Generations before

[56:30] us that paved a way for us to be here

[56:36] today in a debt-free

[56:39] building still running buses still

[56:41] preaching from the King James Bible

[56:43] still singing songs unto the Lord still

[56:46] giving money to help missionaries get

[56:48] the gospel Around the

[56:50] World We Can't

[56:53] Stop we must continue

[56:56] to go forward for the cause of Christ

[57:00] and God wants to use all of you in that

[57:04] part every joint every member I thank

[57:08] God for every person that's a member of

[57:12] Bible Baptist Church and I thank God for

[57:15] those that are currently regular

[57:18] attenders and one day may become members

[57:22] we're thankful for each and every one of

[57:24] you so tonight

[57:32] everybody has a church like

[57:36] this not every church is like this that

[57:40] they pray for one I'm my wife and I are

[57:43] working on our new Christmas card list

[57:47] for the church which also doubles as our

[57:50] prayer list for our church family so

[57:56] thankful the list is longer than it used

[57:58] to

[58:00] be but it just means more people to pray

[58:04] for more people to talk to the Lord

[58:06] about more people to encourage in the

[58:08] work of the ministry more people to

[58:10] encourage in the body of Christ and God

[58:12] put you and I here for that so let me

[58:15] encourage you let's do that together

[58:17] let's be thankful for our church family

[58:20] would you bow your heads not going to

[58:42] have what we have

[59:05] here I'm thankful for those who kept the

[59:15] been faithful from generation to

[59:19] generation to generation and Lord I pray

[59:22] you'd help us to raise up another

[59:29] faithful Lord I'm so thankful that I'm

[59:33] saved I'm thankful you forgave me of the

[59:36] my sins I'm thankful for the blood of

[59:39] Jesus Christ I'm thankful you died for

[59:45] love your church and now this church is

[59:48] on the forward progress for you Lord I'm

[59:54] thankful for each and every

[62:56] weird and we found this

[63:01] church and by the building I'm not talk

[63:04] I'm not talking about the building by

[63:05] church I mean the people in it and we

[63:08] could feel you know God moving through

[63:11] the church the first time that we came

[63:14] and we started coming more and more of

[63:16] course and became members but um we are

[63:21] so thankful I'm really thankful for

[63:24] everybody receded us in their service of

[63:27] this church I beyond humbly thankful for

[63:33] every little bit of it um it's grown to

[63:37] be the best church family I've ever

[63:41] had everyone here is just they're just

[63:45] wonderful

[63:48] and I'm in awe of how God brings us

[63:52] where we need to be in our lives

[63:56] in such a fashion that we we can't see

[63:57] it when we're starting out but now that

[64:00] I'm here I can see the path clearly

[64:02] you're right you know

[64:04] and I'm just living in thanks you know

[65:05] Ministry all of those things and the

[65:08] sacrifices people made and you know I I

[65:12] want us it's our now right and we we've

[65:17] got to make sure that we do things right

[65:19] for future Generations so they can look

[65:22] back and say I'm thankful they stuck

[65:24] stuck

[65:26] was hard and you know our church has

[65:30] grown a lot God

[65:31] has done amazing things and like Pastor

[65:35] said it's so much bigger than one person

[65:38] or one family or a couple of families

[65:41] it's so much bigger than that it's God's

[65:43] work and he's the one working and we're

[65:47] just Serv we're just what he tells us to

[65:50] do and I just think it's awesome that we

[65:54] can

[65:56] that and just do the things that God

[65:59] wants us to do but you know as we

[66:03] grow there's a term called growing pains

[66:06] and you know it just happens as you have

[66:10] growth and the devil doesn't like it

[66:12] either so right he's gonna

[66:15] fight constantly to try to stop

[66:17] everything that God is doing and I know

[66:20] it's such a

[66:21] Temptation humanly speaking for us to

[66:26] and look at ourselves and how this is

[66:30] too hard or that's too hard or it's easy

[66:34] for us to gripe and complain and just

[66:36] look at ourselves when we've got to look

[66:39] at this as God's work we got to just do

[66:42] what God wants us to do and I think if

[66:45] we can do that God God can do so much

[66:49] through US amen it's just amazing to be

[66:52] a part of it and I'm than for all the

[66:54] things God done

[66:56] thankful for my family thankful for my

[66:58] salvation and I'm just I'm excited to

[67:02] see what God's going to do for theut

[67:45] family I mean I met my husband here I

[67:48] know that it was exactly that God wanted

[67:51] our family to be on Amen just kind of

[67:54] thinking my said it's interesting

[67:58] because in hindsight we're always

[67:59] supposed to be going in a certain

[68:02] direction we did very thankful amen

[68:05] praise the Lord good all right anyone

[68:22] it's full of a lot of

[68:26] people that are uh I don't know how to

[68:29] put this really dark people and I found

[68:32] this group of guys that get together on

[68:40] didn't have that group of guys to talk

[68:43] with and get influenced by then I would

[68:45] have definitely been influenced by the

[68:47] people that were around me and I'm

[68:49] thankful

[68:51] for having a good influence and it's

[68:56] it's the best part of my day amen praise

[69:52] mother-in-law is saved I know my husband

[69:56] there's a lot of people that don't get

[69:58] to experience that joy and I truly

[70:01] grateful for the work that God has done

[70:03] in our lives

[70:05] amen because it was a lot of work that

[70:08] he did and I'm super super grateful and

[70:11] thankful that he never once gave up on

[70:14] me he waited he waited for me to finally

[70:17] wake up and I'm grateful for how

[70:21] much the boys my boys have grown into

[70:25] goding wonderful men and

[70:28] just I'm so thankful for what he's done

[70:31] in our family amen and I try and tell as

[70:33] many people as I can about that because

[71:20] has a passion for that I'm very thankful

[71:22] for that um because some people I've

[71:25] been in churches where the guy would

[71:26] literally be right for oh let's see what

[71:28] song shall we sing tonight and they sang

[71:31] the same seven hymns over and over and

[71:33] over again so I'm very thankful for

[71:35] someone who U takes it

[71:39] personal now some of you don't know this

[71:42] I'm hanging on Brother Sam some of you

[71:44] don't know this but when I came here

[71:46] brother Sam would be found in the sound

[71:48] booth and you would hear nothing out of

[71:50] him at all he was very very quiet when

[71:53] we first came and God did a work on his

[71:56] heart um through a series of events I

[71:58] was leading congregational singing and

[71:59] preaching and God worked on his heart

[72:02] and said preacher I could help with that

[72:04] on a Wednesday night and then it became

[72:06] preacher I could do that and so I'm

[72:08] thankful I don't know where we at six

[72:10] years now probably something like that

[72:13] of him being the song leader here so

[72:14] very thankful for that and uh you know

[72:17] you may say well I'm not I don't have

[72:19] the personality to be a teacher um

[72:23] Brother Sam went to our teaching class

[72:25] and then I remember the first time he

[72:27] taught in the group setting he opened up

[72:30] his Bible and began to teach and I

[72:31] thought where's this guy been and he

[72:34] just is a great teacher I'm thankful for

[72:36] him as he teaches Sunday school every

[72:37] week and those boys and girls getting to

[72:39] learn from the word of God so Brother

[72:41] Sam just want to let you know publicly

[72:43] we're thankful for you and all that you

[72:44] do in our church so you come lead us in

[72:46] our dismissal song tonight and then

[72:48] right after that we're going to head

[72:49] down to the fellowship hall for some pie

[72:57] we're going to be dismissed with that
