[0:00] to uh to be calm and and think long
[0:03] term.
[0:03] >> Bill, thank you very much. I hate to
[0:05] interrupt, but we have uh just been
[0:07] notified that we have a report upcoming,
[0:09] as I understand it, from Wolf Blitzer at
[0:11] the Pentagon. Wolf,
[0:13] >> here at the Pentagon, we've been getting
[0:15] some sketchy information about what's
[0:17] going on in Israel. What we do know is
[0:19] this. There were apparently two
[0:21] explosions in Tel Aviv. The uh word is
[0:25] that they could have been Iraqi Scud
[0:27] missiles. Certainly unclear whether they
[0:29] had any chemical warheads. Initial
[0:31] reports suggested that people should go
[0:34] to their underground shelters, which
[0:36] would indicate that they were not gas or
[0:38] chemical warheads because if it would
[0:39] have been chemical warheads, people

[0:42] special rooms in their apartments or
[0:45] homes that had been sealed off for this
[0:47] kind of emergency to put on gas masks.
[0:49] We've also heard conflicting reports
[0:51] saying that people should put on their
[0:52] gas mask. Clearly though, something is
[0:55] going on. The sense is that the Iraqis
[0:57] may have managed to launch one of the
[0:59] mobile Scud missiles that were not
[1:01] damaged, not put out by the initial US
[1:04] air strike. The question is now, if that
[1:06] did in fact occur, are there additional
[1:08] mobile Scud missiles? The fixed
[1:10] batteries were supposedly knocked out by
[1:12] the US and allied forces during day one
[1:15] of Operation Desert Storm. Certainly, if
[1:17] the Israelis respond according to their
[1:20] tradition, they will uh take action. and
[1:22] they have indicated to the United States
[1:24] over the w
