[22:31] quickened who were dead in trespasses

[22:35] and sins where in time past you walked

[22:38] according to the course of this world

[22:41] according to the prince and power of the

[22:42] air the spirit that now worketh in the

[22:45] children of

[22:46] Disobedience among whom also we all had

[22:49] our conversation in times

[22:52] past in the lust of our flesh fulfilling

[22:55] the desires of the Flesh and of the mind

[22:57] and whereby nature children of Wrath

[23:00] even as

[23:02] others pretty bad if the passage ended

[23:05] there there's verse four but God who is

[23:11] rich in Mercy for his great love

[23:15] wherewith he loved us even when we were

[23:20] dead in sins hath quickened us together

[23:24] with Christ by Grace ye are saved and

[23:37] Christ Jesus that in the ages to come he

[25:10] seated Bible begins in Ephesians chapter

[25:12] 2 the Apostle Paul writing to the church

[25:14] at

[25:16] Ephesus he says and you have he

[25:19] quickened who were

[25:21] dead trespasses and in sin want to

[25:25] remind you this morning of an important

[25:27] truth

[25:29] we were

[25:33] dead but not only were we were dead in

[25:36] Ephesians 2 1 2 and 3 we were dead we

[25:40] were

[25:41] deluded we were defiled we were

[25:45] disobedient and we were

[25:48] doomed that's the first three verses

[25:50] tell

[25:52] us we were dead we were

[25:55] defiled we were

[25:57] deluded we were disobedient and we were

[26:02] doomed but I love what happens in verse

[26:05] four but I got to lay some groundwork in

[26:08] the first three

[26:09] verses and you hath he quickened who

[26:14] were

[26:17] dead it's pretty

[26:19] obvious you were dead there's nothing in

[26:23] you you were dead in what trespasses and

[26:25] in sin Romans 6 tells the wages of sin

[26:28] is death but the gift of God is eternal

[26:31] life through Jesus Christ Our Lord in

[26:33] your

[26:35] past you were

[26:39] dead now God takes dead people and makes

[26:44] them

[26:46] alive not just did Jesus do it

[26:49] physically when he was here on Earth but

[26:51] spiritually God takes dead people and

[26:53] makes them alive in

[26:55] Christ mankind can't do that

[27:00] now they can shock people back to life

[27:03] but they were living before

[27:05] then so they can't take dead and make

[27:08] them

[27:08] alive they can bring life back if God

[27:12] permits it but they

[27:14] cannot take what's dead and make it

[27:18] alive but God

[27:20] can and you were dead in your past in

[27:25] trespasses and sins you missed the mark

[27:29] you fall

[27:31] aside and he said we were all

[27:36] that every one of us dead and trespasses

[27:41] and said now look what it says about

[27:43] that verse two where in times past ye

[27:47] walked according to the course of this

[27:53] world when you were unsaved you were

[27:56] walking where Satan wanted you to

[27:59] walk in other words your manner of Life

[28:02] your

[28:03] living was under the influence of sin

[28:08] and the prince and power of the air

[28:11] Satan you're under his

[28:14] influence you thought you were in charge

[28:17] but you

[28:18] weren't you were operating under the

[28:22] influence of someone or something your

[28:25] sin nature and Satan's forces

[28:29] we walked we

[28:31] lived unsaved people behaved like

[28:34] unsaved

[28:36] people Sinners

[28:41] sin somebody say I don't like when my

[28:44] unsaved family member does this I said

[28:46] they're behaving normal for unsaved

[28:48] people unsaved people behave like

[28:51] unsaved people they say things they

[28:52] ought not to say they behave in ways

[28:54] they ought not to

[28:55] behave why because that's

[28:58] them their

[29:01] past now remember Ephesians is to the

[29:03] church in Ephesus so he's writing to

[29:05] save

[29:08] people in in scripture in the King James

[29:12] Bible there's these and THS there's ye

[29:17] and

[29:19] 's the ye and use are what singular or

[29:24] plural they're plural the these and the

[29:27] THS are singular

[29:29] so he's talking to a group of people

[29:32] here the

[29:33] church you hath he quickened who were

[29:35] dead and trespass were in times past ye

[29:39] all of us that are saved guess what we

[29:41] used to do in our past we used to walk

[29:43] according to the course of this world we

[29:46] were

[29:50] deluded notice it continues

[29:55] our flesh fulfilling the desires of our

[29:58] verse three look back to verse two

[30:12] disobedient in our past we were dead we

[30:17] were deluded we were disobedient look at

[30:19] verse three among whom also we had our

[30:21] conversation our manner of life in Times

[30:23] past in the lust of our flesh and

[30:26] fulfilling the desires of the Flesh and

[30:29] of the mind and were by Nature the

[30:32] children of Wrath even as others we were

[30:35] defiled our flesh is

[30:38] dirty flesh is

[30:41] wicked in times

[30:45] passed and it says the children of Wrath

[30:50] even as others we were doomed we were on

[30:52] our way to

[30:54] Hell there was no hope we born Sinners

[30:58] we were going to die Sinners we deserved

[31:00] the death we deserved hell in verse

[31:04] three the sin condition of man was we

[31:07] were dead we were deluded we were

[31:09] disobedient we were defiled we were

[31:12] doomed we were dead in trespasses and

[31:14] sin we walked according to the course of

[31:16] this world we had our conversations and

[31:19] manner of life and our living in our

[31:21] flesh and wickedness and we were sinful

[31:24] creatures but then the caption of the

[31:27] verse happens in verse number four but

[31:34] God and you and I ought to pay attention

[31:37] to the but God moments in the word of

[31:40] God but God who is rich in

[31:49] Mercy he is rich in

[31:53] Mercy there is no sinner he cannot save

[31:58] there is no one too far gone that God

[32:01] can't get a hold of he is rich in Mercy

[32:05] for his great love wherewith he loved us

[32:09] he is rich in Mercy and he has a great

[32:13] love not a little love not some love

[32:16] he's got a great love for

[32:20] us he's rich in

[32:22] Mercy he's got a great love for us

[32:28] then it says even when we were dead in

[32:33] sins hath quickened us together with

[32:39] Christ quickened Made Alive who did he

[32:42] make alive

[32:44] us how do he make us alive with

[32:48] Christ we're together with Christ

[32:52] quickened also it goes on and hath

[32:56] raised us up up

[32:59] together and made us sit together in

[33:01] Heavenly places in Christ Jesus so he

[33:04] raised us up together who's the together

[33:07] the US the church he raised us up

[33:10] together and he raised us to sit

[33:12] together in Heavenly places in other

[33:15] words you got a

[33:18] seat in

[33:21] heaven because of

[33:24] Christ now quickened raised and sit are

[33:28] all in the aist Greek tents means they

[33:34] instantaneously meaning your seat where

[33:38] you're going to sit is already prepared

[33:42] you and John chapter 14 Jesus said I go

[33:45] to prepare a place for you he's got a

[33:48] place for you that are saved he's got a

[33:52] heaven and we're only getting there

[33:54] because of

[33:56] Christ so in our past we were dead but

[34:02] God who's rich in Mercy and his great

[34:05] love where he loved us and he quickened

[34:08] us together and he raised us up together

[34:10] to sit together in Heavenly places and

[34:13] that happened in a moment the moment you

[34:14] got

[34:15] saved the god that has Rich Mercy The

[34:19] God Who has great

[34:21] love raised you up he quickened you he

[34:25] prepared a place for you in a moment

[34:28] that you got

[34:31] saved now if you're here this morning

[34:34] and you're unsaved you're stuck on point

[34:36] number

[34:37] one here's your story you're dead in

[34:42] trespasses and sin you're

[34:45] deluded you are disobedient you are

[34:48] defiled and you are

[34:49] doomed what a wonderful encouraging

[34:52] message from the preacher this morning I

[34:54] didn't do it God did it he wrote it

[34:58] without Christ that's where you're

[35:03] at but Hallelujah for verse four and

[35:06] verse

[35:07] five verse

[35:10] six because that happened in a

[35:12] moment and if you're in stuck in verse

[35:15] one first point number one because

[35:17] you're unsaved this morning you can have

[35:19] a butt God moment

[35:21] today and you're not stuck in point

[35:24] number one you get a move to point

[35:26] number two and to point number three

[35:28] three now I'm thankful for a butt God

[35:30] moment in my life where God's Rich Mercy

[35:33] got a hold of my sinner heart and he

[35:35] changed my life forever and some of us

[35:37] ought to say Amen cuz he's rich in

[35:41] Mercy some of us needed a lot of Mercy

[35:45] aren't you thankful he poured out mercy

[35:47] and he still had more to pour out aren't

[35:49] you thankful he poured out Grace on your

[35:51] life and he still had more to pour out

[35:54] he's got abundant grace he's got

[35:56] sustaining Grace he's got Saving Grace

[35:59] he's got more than enough Grace for

[36:02] every

[36:04] sinner ought be an encouragement to your

[36:06] heart today for a butt God moment I'm

[36:09] thankful I had a butt God moment in my

[36:11] life where I realized I was a sinner and

[36:13] God gave me the opportunity to be saved

[36:15] when the Holy Spirit drew me into

[36:17] salvation I believed with all my heart

[36:19] and I called upon the Lord to be saved

[36:20] I'm so thankful for that but God

[36:25] moment but there's a point

[36:30] three first point is where all the

[36:33] unsaved

[36:34] people have to

[36:35] stay point two can happen for people who

[36:39] are unsaved

[36:41] today and for those of us that are saved

[36:44] it already happened for us and we ought

[36:47] to praise God we had but God

[36:50] moment there's a point

[36:53] three it's in our

[36:55] text verse seven

[36:59] that in the ages to come he might show

[37:12] grace

[37:16] kindness toward us through Christ

[42:01] Christ salvation is by Christ not by

[42:13] Lea it's salvation is by grace through

[42:17] faith we ought to talk about it to show

[42:23] kindness and his wondrous Works to every

[44:15] outside and Jesus will put somebody in a

[44:29] that whole argument in your mind and

[44:32] just like Paul said for will to do I

[44:34] will not and you don't want to talk but

[44:41] said to talk of all his wondrous

[44:45] Works amongst the people we're to talk

[44:47] about it the greatest work he did in our

[44:52] salvation we ought to talk to people

[44:54] about how he saved us

[44:58] now you can work on it and you can

[45:01] shrink it out I'm not talking about

[45:02] getting a 15minute dissertation on the

[45:06] day you got

[45:07] saved but you can shrink that down into

[45:10] about two

[45:14] minutes and you can talk to a whole lot

[45:16] people right now with the price of gas

[45:20] somebody's at the gas pump across you

[45:22] you got at least two minutes to talk to

[45:24] them

[45:28] you could talk to them across the gas

[45:30] pum I don't like to make eye contact

[45:32] when I'm at the gas pump well you had to

[45:34] get gas and they had to get gas it's not

[45:37] accident that it was right at the same

[45:38] gas

[45:40] station

[45:52] Christ through us is in our

[45:55] sanctification

[45:59] he talked about it in verse two of

[46:02] Ephesians or verse 8 and N for by grace

[46:04] are you sa through faith and that

[46:05] knowledge yourselves it is a gift of God

[46:07] not of Works lest any man should boast

[46:10] for we are his

[46:14] workmanship we are growing up in Christ

[46:17] now salvation is by Christ

[46:18] sanctification is in

[46:21] Christ it's Christ in

[46:25] me and now that that he's in me I'm to

[46:29] live a way that other people can see him

[46:32] in

[46:35] me so he's in us and so we're his

[46:39] workmanship so this sanctification

[46:42] process every day becoming more like

[46:45] Christ will

[46:48] talk will

[46:50] talk to others about him

[46:57] the more you grow in your relationship

[47:00] with Christ it speaks volumes on how

[47:04] Christ changes

[47:08] people some of you if we' have met you

[47:10] 20 years

[47:11] ago and who you are

[47:14] today would say how'd you get

[47:17] here how did you how did you arrive here

[47:20] at this point and you could say it's all

[47:25] him it's all

[47:28] him and our sanctification our growth

[47:31] process in Christ now not only do we

[47:33] show Christ to unsaved people but we

[47:36] show Christ to save

[47:39] people we show the grace of Christ

[47:41] working in our life and his workmanship

[47:44] that

[47:46] sanctification you come to church and

[47:48] you find a brethren in Christ you walk

[47:51] up to him say hey you got a couple

[47:53] minutes why sure let me tell you what

[47:56] God showed me me in my Bible reading

[47:57] this

[48:00] week that's

[48:02] exciting I me preacher I don't like it

[48:04] when people talk to me about their Bible

[48:06] reading what's wrong with you been

[48:08] sucking on Deal pickles what's wrong

[48:09] with

[48:11] you when anybody talks about what God's

[48:14] showing them in the word of God ought to

[48:15] be an encouragement to our

[48:18] heart when when people start growing in

[48:21] their relationship with Christ that be

[48:22] an encouragement to our

[48:24] heart when we see young people grow

[48:26] growing in Christ teenagers and young

[48:29] adults it ought to encourage our

[48:32] heart amen ought to be motivation to

[48:37] us but it also ought to do

[48:39] something to us middle-aged I'm not old

[48:43] yet I'm just middle-aged come to

[48:46] realization I'm not young anymore the

[48:48] young adults class told me they said

[48:50] preacher you're too old it's all right

[48:53] not hurt I'm not hurt I really am not

[48:59] but those of us that are middleaged we

[49:01] ought to have a

[49:03] desire to help those that are in a

[49:06] younger stage of Life watch

[49:10] this we're going anyway all

[49:14] right we don't

[49:17] like telling people about our past

[49:21] mistakes because we're afraid it'll

[49:24] bring down their current opinion of us

[49:29] I'll say and get in case you missed it

[49:31] we don't like telling people about how

[49:33] we messed up in the past because we're

[49:35] afraid well they'll think less of

[49:38] me because I shared with them my

[49:41] struggle when I was younger or in my

[49:44] past and now they see how wonderful I'm

[49:47] doing whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa

[49:50] we're only doing good because God's

[49:51] helped us to do

[49:53] good so we ought to share with the

[49:56] younger ones the mistakes we made so

[49:59] they don't have to make

[50:02] them I think it's kind of like I don't

[50:05] know I think there's a thought somewhere

[50:07] in Scripture that the Aged were to teach

[50:10] the younger I think that's kind of in

[50:13] there and we only want to do it on the

[50:16] positive

[50:17] stuff come on we only want to talk about

[50:21] how good we did it we like to display

[50:25] the trophy case of success

[50:28] and not tell them about the hours of

[50:30] pain and Agony before we got to the

[50:33] trophy case of

[50:35] success we don't want to tell them about

[50:38] the mistakes we made as young

[50:41] parents but now that they're young

[50:43] parents we want to tell them oh it'll

[50:46] turn out better it'll be okay our kids

[50:48] turned out good you just hang in there

[50:50] no let's help them let's say hey I've

[50:54] been where you're at

[50:57] let me give you some help that God

[51:00] taught me because they don't really need

[51:02] what we know and we learn but they need

[51:05] to know what God taught us and God

[51:09] showed us but we don't we don't like

[51:11] doing that because we're afraid people

[51:14] will think less of

[51:16] us I don't want to do it with that table

[52:10] appreciate your

[52:12] authenticity and realize they're not

[52:14] alone in the struggle you can set it

[52:18] now here's what we're afraid

[52:22] of we think people have put us on a

[52:25] pedestal

[52:27] that they think we've got it all

[52:29] together because we've grown in Christ

[52:32] we're doing

[52:34] better and so they've got us up

[52:38] there and because they've got us up

[52:40] there we've arrived at this decision

[52:43] that I don't want to get to a point that

[52:46] they look at me

[52:48] and knock me off my

[52:52] pedestal but we're not to be pedestal

[52:55] Christians

[52:57] we are not we are in this together this

[53:01] is us work and those of us that are

[53:07] middleaged and older ought to recognize

[53:10] that there are some opportunities that

[53:12] God grew Us

[53:14] in that we need to express to another

[53:17] generation and help

[53:20] them because if we're afraid to get

[53:22] knocked off our pedestal we're not

[53:24] supposed to be on the pedestal anyway

[53:25] it's not not about us it's about him if

[53:28] we're lifting anybody up we're lifting

[53:30] him

[53:31] up I I tell you don't put your preacher

[53:34] on a pedestal because I'll fall off all

[53:35] the time don't put me up there I'm just

[53:39] like you I'm a sinner just like you my

[53:42] wife and I struggle with the same things

[53:44] you

[53:45] do we're just like you got sin nature

[53:48] just like you we got imperfect teenagers

[53:51] just like

[53:52] you I got imperfect young adults just

[53:55] like you just because they're a

[53:57] preacher's kid doesn't mean they got it

[53:59] all together I know that cuz I was

[54:04] one thankfully my boys have not publicly

[54:08] embarrassed their dad like I did

[54:13] mine I will be transparent with mistakes

[54:17] that preachers kids can

[54:20] make my sister and I did not always get

[54:25] along

[54:27] she's two years younger than

[54:29] me and one day she was just riding me

[54:33] after youth group she was just on my

[54:37] case she was angry at me and she just

[54:41] kept going and kept going and kept going

[54:44] and I had just gotten done I we were in

[54:47] Indiana and Indiana has a basketball

[54:50] goal at every house and at every church

[54:53] so we had a basketball court behind our

[54:55] church building and i' been playing

[54:56] basketball friends and I had the

[54:57] basketball in my hand and we're in the

[55:00] church parking lot and my sister is just

[55:03] getting to get and I had enough so I

[55:06] yelled at my sister in the church

[55:09] parking lot while church members were

[55:12] still in the parking lot and then I took

[55:15] the basketball and I punted it over the

[55:18] old church

[55:20] building right when I punted it and

[55:22] yelled my father walked out the door

[55:28] needless to say the Board of Education

[55:29] got applied to my seat of learning at

[55:32] 15

[55:37] 15 and we had this convers there are

[55:39] other people in the parking lot what are

[55:41] you

[55:43] doing but I had a I grew up and about

[55:47] 17 had a desire to serve and I I did a

[55:51] lot of things in the church and I was

[55:52] mowing the grass at the church and we

[55:55] live next to the church in the par they

[55:57] my dad was building a house and at 17 I

[56:00] decided and I still hadn't got my

[56:02] license yet cuz every card that my dad

[56:04] got that he was going to let me drive he

[56:07] decided to give to some other church

[56:09] member who was in need so from the age

[56:12] of 16 to 17 there were six different

[56:14] cars that sat in the driveway that's

[56:16] going to be your car and then he gave it

[56:17] to some church member who needed help or

[56:19] he sold it to some church I was oh I'm

[56:21] not bitter it's okay

[56:26] I mean I'd really loved that 1970 Ford

[56:29] pickup I really would have loved that

[56:31] 1972 Chevy El Camino that had this oh

[56:35] it's didn't get any of that it only had

[56:39] 15,000 miles on it oh but I didn't get

[56:42] that no I bought with the money that I

[56:45] had saved up a Mitsubishi Mighty Max I'm

[56:48] six foot tall and I'm driving in

[56:50] Mitsubishi might Max for those who don't

[56:52] know that's a little bitty truck that's

[56:54] that's a micro machine truck all

[56:58] right

[57:00] now because of all that and my dad's

[57:02] like we're not going to pay for the

[57:03] insurance until you get your license so

[57:06] you just you can't drive it

[57:09] yet so what he tells me is I'm at the

[57:13] house and parage and we've accumulated

[57:15] some trash we doing some cleaning and

[57:17] doing some different stuff we had a

[57:18] seller and it flooded and all the stuff

[57:21] my mom had canned floated and got water

[57:25] in it and then when the water receded it

[57:27] all shattered on the ground so I had

[57:29] glass jars and trash and I had a whole

[57:32] Mitsubishi Mighty Max

[57:34] truckload but again I don't have my

[57:36] license so I can't drive on the

[57:39] road the church has got 32

[57:43] acres and I can get to the church

[57:46] dumpster if I drive around the back of

[57:49] the house and down around the lake and

[57:51] over I get to the dumpster and I did

[57:53] that multiple times before but I had

[57:56] forgotten on this

[57:58] Saturday that it rained Saturday

[58:02] morning and I loaded up and I take off

[58:04] and my brother's with me you know you

[58:06] always do stuff with your brother

[58:07] because it you know one of you can get

[58:09] in trouble you can blame it on the other

[58:11] one so we drive and we're coming across

[58:15] and we had just built our church had

[58:16] just built a new Auditorium building

[58:19] Sunday school wing and it Sayed about

[58:20] 400 people in the auditorium had glass

[58:23] windows all facing this field behind

[58:25] where I drove the truck and about

[58:27] halfway through the truck sank into the

[58:30] mud not good so I get my brother who's

[58:34] four years younger than me so he's 13 at

[58:36] the time you drive I'm gonna push so I'm

[58:40] rocking this little truck back and forth

[58:42] and he's just hammered down mud's flying

[58:46] everywhere he's 13 he don't know no

[58:48] better finally we get it pushed out and

[58:51] get over there get trash then my dad's

[58:54] going to see the mud on Tire I spray

[58:56] washed the truck tires everything looked

[58:58] good parked in the driveway everything

[58:59] was great dad didn't come home he was

[59:02] visiting some people mom wasn't there

[59:04] everything was good till Sunday morning

[59:07] I'm sitting on the front row my dad's

[59:08] preaching and my dad at that time he was

[59:10] a wild man preacher he's running around

[59:12] all over the place preaching and then

[59:14] he's looking over here to this section

[59:16] and where those windows at and he

[59:17] notices the tire

[59:19] tracks because they're about eight foot

[59:22] long sets of Tire trenches in the

[59:26] churchyard between the chur new church

[59:28] building and where our setic Mound was

[59:31] because we lived out in the country

[59:33] area and I

[59:35] notice he

[59:37] turns he locks eyes with

[59:41] me and then he continued to

[59:44] preach the rest of the

[59:46] message

[59:48] standing right in front where I was

[59:52] at you talk about conviction

[59:59] because not only had my sin I thought

[60:02] been covered

[60:03] up but now it is on

[60:07] display because he keeps looking at it

[60:10] keeps looking out the windows so guess

[60:12] what the church people started

[60:15] doing what's out there what's preacher

[60:18] looking

[60:19] at and then there were other men in the

[60:22] church who noticed there's tire tracks

[60:25] out there it was the farmer guys who had

[60:28] done all the Landscaping work afterwards

[60:31] yeah guess who messed it up is the

[60:33] preacher's

[60:36] kid why because the preacher's kid is

[60:38] just like any other

[60:40] teenager they have sin nature just like

[60:43] everyone else they have moments where

[60:46] their brain falls out just like everyone

[60:52] else I could give you a whole book

[60:57] of preacher kid

[60:59] mistakes but I'm thankful to

[61:04] God for the sanctification process that

[61:07] happened in my

[61:08] life and the growing up I did in

[61:13] Christ helps me

[61:15] now to where I can look at my son hey

[61:18] the grass is wet don't go drive through

[61:22] that don't do

[61:24] that don't go there don't do that why

[61:28] because I learned some

[61:30] things and spiritually speaking listen

[61:33] some of us have struggled in our

[61:35] relationship with Christ some of us have

[61:38] been upside down in our families where

[61:41] we put work or Hobbies above taking care

[61:44] of our

[61:46] family it's

[61:48] quiet and we see another young man who's

[61:51] in his

[61:52] 20s we ought to come alongside and say

[61:54] Hey sir make sure you're making time for

[61:56] your

[61:56] family Hey sir I don't want you to have

[62:00] to learn this the hard way learn from

[62:02] this you know why a lot of us don't do

[62:05] that because it wasn't modeled to us to

[62:09] do

[62:10] that so let's be different on purpose

[62:14] let's as a church not be a pedestal

[62:16] church and be concerned if they've got

[62:18] me up on a pedestal or not let's be like

[62:20] the Apostle Paul come with me as I

[62:22] follow Christ let's go together come on

[62:24] we're all on the journey together let's

[62:25] go let's go together come on get on

[62:27] board let's go together let's go

[62:29] together don't put me up on a pedestal

[62:30] I'll fall off every

[62:32] time let's not look at other people and

[62:35] say well look how good they are let us

[62:38] recognize it's only by Christ who is

[62:41] rich in Mercy and his grace that we're

[62:44] still

[62:46] breathing so some of us ought to be a

[62:48] little more

[62:49] vulnerable and

[62:51] share what we've learned along this

[62:54] journey with Christ with the Next

[62:56] Generation my wife and I have the

[62:58] conversation often I wish somebody would

[63:01] have told us I wish somebody would have

[63:03] told us when our kids were five six

[63:05] seven eight wish somebody would have

[63:06] told us when our kids were 10 11 12 13 I

[63:09] wish they would have told us when our

[63:10] kids were 17 18

[63:14] 19 there wasn't a whole lot of people

[63:16] that told

[63:19] us instead of being bitter about it my

[63:21] heart my wife and I's heart is we'd

[63:23] rather tell other people

[63:27] some things we've learned along the way

[63:29] not that we got it all figured out

[63:31] because we don't I still have

[63:33] teenagers I still have pre-teenagers I'm

[63:36] still learning life lessons but we ought

[63:38] to be to a point that we recognize we

[63:41] need Christ and Christ and us were to

[63:44] talk amongst all the Brethren what

[63:47] Christ is

[63:48] doing all right dang I shot that rabbit

[64:19] school you couldn't do it if it wasn't

[64:25] sing in a choir you couldn't do the

[64:27] things you do you couldn't sing a SP if

[64:28] it wasn't for Christ he worketh in us to

[64:31] willing to do of his good pleasure we

[64:32] are his workmanship and God doesn't make

[64:41] Christ in me and this whole passage of

[64:43] Ephesians 2 verses 1-10 we see Christ's

[64:47] grace through salvation we forget about

[64:48] it when it comes to sanctification and

[64:51] we forget about it when it comes to

[64:52] service if it wasn't for God's grace we

[64:54] could not serve him

[64:57] him the ability to sing a special comes

[65:01] from God and can be taken away by

[65:04] God there's a young lady that was in our

[65:07] church in

[65:08] Indiana has a great

[65:10] testimony was serving the lord and got

[65:13] throat cancer had to have surgery and

[65:16] the surgery was going to remove the

[65:17] cancer and it was close to her vocal

[65:20] cords the doctors said they did not know

[65:22] if she'd be able to speak let alone sing

[65:24] she loved to sing for the Lord

[65:26] didn't know she'd have that opportunity

[65:28] ever

[65:29] again they did the surgery and they

[65:32] thought it's not going to

[65:35] happen but I remember about eight nine

[65:38] weeks

[65:39] later there's a group of ladies standing

[65:41] on the platform singing

[65:44] AAL on the end was

[65:47] Cara it wasn't like it used to

[65:50] be but it was all for God and His glory

[65:55] and for years now she's been able to

[66:00] see right now she's having some more

[66:02] tests done she's had what is it now

[66:04] Jennifer four different types of cancer

[66:06] something like that that she's battled

[66:08] through her life verse is Luke 137 for

[66:12] with God nothing shall be

[66:15] impossible it's all God's

[66:18] grace it's God's grace in Salvation it's

[66:20] God's grace in sanctification it's God's

[66:22] grace in service it's all about his

[66:25] grace in

[66:27] us and we're to show that to

[66:31] others I think the song writer put it

[66:35] well when he wrote it this way
