[0:00] But we will see you Monday. Here's CBS.
[0:05] >> This is the CBS Evening News. Dan Rather
[0:08] reporting. Good evening. Alexander Haig
[0:10] has quit the presidential race, endorsed
[0:12] Bob Dole, and criticized what he sees as
[0:15] George Bush's weak leadership. A new CBS
[0:19] News poll shows signs of what could be
[0:21] more erosion in George Bush's once
[0:24] commanding lead in New Hampshire, and
[0:26] more doubts in the minds of some about
[0:28] whether Bush will win in New Hampshire,

[1:14] largest contingent of reporters and
[1:15] photographers since the Watergate White
[1:17] House days. He said he fully understood
[1:20] the reason for the packed house.
[1:22] >> Well, I appreciate you coming out
[1:24] on an otherwise unusable day.
[1:27] >> There has always been bad blood between
[1:29] Haig and George Bush. Thus, throwing his
[1:31] support to Dole was expecte
