[0:00] President speaks forcefully with his
[0:02] most emphatic denial yet of sex and lies
[0:05] in the Monica Lewinsky case.
[0:08] >> I did not have sexual relations with
[0:12] that woman,
[0:13] Ms. Lewinsky.
[0:15] I never told anybody to lie, and not a
[0:17] single time, never.
[0:20] >> At the same time, special prosecutor Ken
[0:23] Starr increases the pressure on Lewinsky
[0:26] to testify against the president [music]
[0:28] as the White House remains under fire.
[0:32] >> This is the CBS Evening News.
[0:37] With Dan Rather reporting tonight from
[0:39] Washington.
[0:41] >> Good evening. Here at the White House,

[1:07] have a deal for immunity from Kenneth
[1:08] Starr. And Hillary Clinton stands by her
[1:11] husband at the White House, then heads
[1:13] to a planned appearance in New York. Our
[1:16] coverage begins with CBS News White
[1:18] House correspondent Scott Pelley. Scott?
[1:21] >> Dan, tonight Monica Lewinsky's attorneys
[1:23] tell us that she has told prosecutors
[1:26] all she knows. They describe what they
[1:28] call a complete account of her
[1:30] relationship with President Clinton. But
[1:33] that account was given over the
[1:35] telephone today and was not written
[1:37] down. Prosecutors are trill still trying
[1:40] to decide whether they will offer
[1:42] immunity. This new threat came
