[0:04] >> From ABC, this is World News Tonight
[0:08] with Peter Jennings.
[0:09] >> Good evening. We begin with the daily
[0:10] summary of what we [music] know about
[0:11] the war. The air campaign against Iraq
[0:13] and Kuwait is now running at one combat
[0:15] mission per minute. The Iraqis say the
[0:17] bombing campaign against Baghdad has
[0:19] become intense again. The Iraqis are
[0:21] still generally quiet about casualties.
[0:23] Another 25 Iraqi tanks have been found
[0:26] in the open and reportedly destroyed.

[1:09] more direct hits on the on the railway
[1:11] itself.
[1:12] >> The US says 27 of Iraq's 35 major
[1:16] bridges have now been destroyed, cutting
[1:18] supply routes to ground forces. It is
[1:21] also clear that the
[1:29] as we've discussed before that they are
[1:31] digging in to try to protect themselves
[1:33] against our enemy air attacks.
[1:36] Because of that, it is becoming apparent
[1:38] that the US is getting ready to try to
[1:40] challenge the Iraqis on the groun
