[16:53] today and considering David and Goliath

[16:57] and some Prin principles here in our

[16:59] passage that I think could be a help to

[17:01] us tonight and we're going to be all

[17:04] throughout the chapter uh but for sake

[17:07] of time in our reading we're going to

[17:09] read at the end of the chapter first so

[17:12] if you're able would you please stand in

[17:13] honor of the word of God we're going to

[17:15] begin reading in verse number

[17:18] 48 of 1st Samuel chapter

[17:22] 17 1 Samuel 17:48 and it came to pass

[17:26] when the Philistine arose and came and

[17:28] Drew to meet David that David hasted and

[17:31] ran toward the Army to meet the

[17:35] Philistine David put his hand in his bag

[17:37] and took then a stone and slang it and

[17:40] smoke the Philistine in his forehead

[17:43] that the stone sunk in his forehead and

[17:45] he fell upon his face to the Earth so

[17:48] David prevailed over the Philistine with

[17:50] a sling and with a stone and smoke the

[17:54] Philistine and slew him but there was no

[19:21] begins in first Samuel 17 with

[19:24] David being at home with his dad

[19:28] there's a battle that's come and King

[19:30] Saul has sent David home in chapter 16

[19:33] he sends David home from playing the

[19:35] heart he sends him back home to Jesse

[19:39] they've set the battle in the ray three

[19:41] of David's older brothers are here at

[19:43] the Battle and in the beginning of this

[19:46] chapter we find that Saul and the men of

[19:48] Israel they're gathered together they're

[19:49] encamped here on the two mountain ranges

[19:52] with a valley in between them and every

[19:57] day go ith comes

[20:00] out and we're going to begin reading in

[20:03] verse number three the Philistines stood

[20:06] on the mountain on one side and Israel

[20:08] stood on the mountain on the other side

[20:10] and there was a valley between them

[20:12] there went out a champion out of the

[20:13] camp of the Philistines named Goliath of

[20:15] gath whose height was six cubits in a

[20:19] span it goes into description of all of

[20:22] his armor and everything that he has

[20:24] we're going to drop down to verse eight

[20:26] and he stood and Cried unto the armies

[20:27] of Israel and said said unto them why

[20:29] are ye come out to set your battle in

[20:32] Array am not I a Philistine and ye

[20:34] servants to Saul choose you a man for

[20:37] you who and let him come down to me if

[20:41] he be able to fight with me to kill me

[20:43] then will we be your servants but if I

[20:46] Prevail against him and kill him then

[20:48] shall ye be our servants and serve us

[21:12] afraid some things for people who face

[21:16] Giants the nation of Israel is here the

[21:18] army of Israel is here and they're

[21:21] Facing a

[21:22] Giant Goliath above gath he's over 9 ft

[21:25] tall and he comes out and he cries out

[21:28] and he defies and they want to he wants

[21:30] someone to come fight with him he say

[21:32] give me a man that we may fight and he's

[21:34] looking for a fight he's looking for a

[21:36] struggle he's looking for problems and

[21:39] today we're going to give you five

[21:40] things that giant facers do with

[21:45] Giants and then we're going to preach

[21:47] what giant Slayers do with

[21:52] giants so in introduction the giant

[22:03] life giants show up to the Battle of

[22:14] show up in your life that are bigger

[22:19] life that are gigantic to you and things

[22:22] that look stronger look bigger look more

[22:24] powerful than you they show up in life

[22:27] and you never know

[22:29] when they're going to show up but here

[22:31] they come so people face Giants

[22:35] everybody everybody hears and sees

[22:39] Giants that's number two everybody hears

[22:43] and sees Giants this this Army they're

[22:46] all

[22:48] there every man in the Army heard

[22:52] Goliath every man in the Army saw

[22:56] Goliath Giants are everybody sees

[23:00] everybody deals with things that are

[23:02] bigger than

[23:04] them everybody deals with something

[23:07] bigger than themselves amen everyone

[23:10] deals with giants but not only does

[23:12] everyone see things bigger themselves

[23:15] everyone

[23:17] hears Goliath calls out that he

[23:20] defies the army of Israel everybody

[23:22] hears

[23:24] Giants sometimes the Giants of voice

[23:29] in your

[23:30] head that says some things that are

[23:33] bigger than you and

[23:35] defies what you're trying to

[23:38] do so everybody hears and sees Giants

[23:42] Giants show up on the battlefield life

[23:44] that was number one number three

[23:46] Giants if not dealt

[23:50] with will keep coming

[23:54] back Giants if not dealt with will keep

[24:40] in our life if we don't deal with them

[24:44] they'll keep coming

[24:48] Giants if they're not dealt with they'll

[24:53] back number four tonight Giants are big

[24:59] strong

[25:01] intimidating from our

[25:04] perspective Giants are

[25:07] big strong

[25:10] intimidating from our

[25:14] perspective now in our text they saw him

[25:18] daily he's 9 foot tall later on in the

[25:22] passage in verse 20 it says that he came

[25:25] David came to the

[25:26] trench as the host was going forth to

[25:29] fight and shouted for the battle now

[25:30] it's not like a modern warfare trench

[25:32] where you dig and all the soldiers are

[25:34] hiding in the trench that's not what

[25:35] it's talking about but it was a a dry

[25:38] moat that was built that would have a

[25:40] low spot and then a high spot and it

[25:43] would be so if the enemy was going to

[25:44] come and attack you they had to go down

[25:46] and then come up and it give you an

[25:48] advantage from a higher point and so

[25:51] these men of Israel they were at the

[25:53] trench they're in the lower part now I

[25:54] want you to Picture This they're in the

[25:56] low of the Low Places in their life

[25:59] right now in the battle they're in the

[26:00] low place and the 9- foot giant when

[26:02] you're in the low place looks a little

[27:15] level cuz if not I look really scary to

[27:32] low and you're looking at a giant that

[27:35] you're facing it can be Amplified when

[28:46] riches not just a little bit great

[28:49] riches and will give him his daughter

[28:52] and make his father's house free in

[28:56] Israel so people who are facing giants

[28:59] that are only giant facers they hear

[29:01] about the reward these men of Israel for

[29:04] 40 days Goliath's been coming they've

[29:06] heard that King Saul says if we kill him

[29:09] we're going to get great riches we're

[29:12] going to have the King's Daughter and

[29:13] she's beautiful and our father's house

[29:18] reward but they didn't take action

[29:20] because verse 24 tells us they were

[29:23] afraid they were s afraid Hey listen you

[29:27] can know about the giants that are in

[29:29] your life and the Giants that you're

[29:30] facing and you can know the rewards of

[29:34] if you get that giant slay and you get

[29:36] that giant killed and you get victory

[29:38] over that giant you can know that God

[29:41] wants to do a great work and God will do

[29:43] a blessing in your life and still not

[29:45] take action because of your

[29:48] emotions and your fear of dealing with

[29:50] that giant so just to recap what giant

[29:54] facers deal with giant facers know that

[29:56] Giants show up to the battle of life for

[29:59] everyone everybody hears and sees Giants

[30:03] Giants if not dealt with will come back

[30:06] Giants are big strong intimidating from

[30:09] our perspective and they love to show up

[30:12] in our low

[30:13] points and giant facers hear about the

[30:16] reward but do not take action because of

[30:20] emotional

[30:33] giant heard a

[35:19] we're facing the giant that's when we

[35:22] God we already need to have ran to God

[35:38] God wants wanted to be under

[35:41] you I have never seen an unsubmitted

[35:45] Giant

[35:47] Slayer I've never seen

[35:49] one I've never seen someone slay Giants

[35:52] in their life without being in

[35:54] submission to the word of God

[35:58] whatever the giant is the big giants

[35:59] that show up in our life if you're not

[36:01] submitted to the authority of God and

[36:03] his

[36:04] word you're not going to accomplish it

[36:06] you're not going to slay that

[36:08] giant you'll just keep facing it over

[36:11] and over and over and over and over and

[36:13] over and over and over and over and

[36:17] over you have to submit yourself to the

[36:21] authority before you face the

[36:25] giant that's what David did he was

[36:27] committed to his father before he ever

[36:30] heard Goliath

[36:33] speak now in verse

[36:35] 23 we left off there and behold there

[36:37] came up the champion the Philistines of

[36:40] gath Goliath by name out of the armies

[36:43] of the Philistines and spake according

[36:45] to the same

[36:48] words that he said over in chapter 10

[36:52] chap verse 10 and in verse 10 verse 11

[36:56] Saul and all the Israel the guys that

[36:58] are facing the giant they heard the

[36:59] words and they fled from him because

[37:01] they were

[37:03] sore they were dismayed and greatly

[37:07] afraid David hears the same

[37:09] words and this is what it says and David

[37:13] them and all the men of Israel when they

[37:16] saw the man fled because they were so

[37:26] men that stood by him him saying what

[38:54] spake they rehearsed them before Saul

[38:56] and he sent for him David said to Saul

[39:06] Philistine Saul says to David verse 33

[39:09] thou are not able to go up against this

[39:10] Philistine to fight with him for thou

[40:09] past to deal with the fear of the

[40:12] present giant Slayers are strengthened

[40:15] by faith victories of the past to deal

[40:18] with the fear of the present Goliath a

[40:21] real giant he's a big dude 9 foot tall

[40:26] he the beginning part of chapter talks

[40:27] about all his weapons but David a giant

[40:31] slayer are strengthened by faith

[40:33] victories of the past to deal with the

[40:35] fear of the

[40:38] present so this is how it happened in

[40:40] David's life giant voices against God

[40:45] stirred a passion for

[40:49] God Giants voices against God stirred a

[40:55] passion for God

[40:58] those other guys heard the same words

[41:00] and they were highed in

[41:02] fear David heard the same words and his

[41:07] response is who's this guy who is this

[41:09] uncircumcised

[41:12] Philistine and then something else

[41:15] happened in the life of David letter B

[41:21] voices against you stir a passion

[41:27] for

[41:28] God other voices against you stir a

[41:33] passion for God giant Slayers who have

[41:36] had Faith victories of the past can deal

[41:40] with the fears of the present because

[41:41] even if other voices are against you God

[41:45] it stirs a passion for God in you look

[41:48] what he had he had

[41:49] eliab eliab spoke out against him eliab

[41:53] said I know the naughtiness of thine

[41:55] heart look at the Dig that uh elah puts

[42:00] 28 Why camest th hither and with whom

[42:08] wilderness Trying to minimize David's

[42:13] responsibility who's thou left those few

[42:15] sheep in the wilderness Trying to

[42:20] responsibilities I Know Thy pride and

[42:23] the naughtiness of thine heart for thou

[42:24] art come down that thou mightest see the

[42:26] battle David said what have I now done

[42:29] is there not a

[42:31] cause he looks at his brother Eliah and

[42:33] says what have I now done is there not a

[42:36] cause what's David's cause he's talking

[42:38] about my

[42:40] God and it stirred a passion in

[42:43] him and with the faith victories of the

[42:46] past he was emboldened to

[42:50] go and then he walks into King

[42:54] Saul King Saul says you can't

[42:59] go you can't go you're but a

[43:02] youth and then David didn't say yeah I'm

[43:05] only this old he didn't talk about how

[43:08] old he was he talked about what God had

[43:12] done he talked about the victories that

[43:14] God had brought him through and in the

[43:17] victories that God brought him through

[43:18] he said

[43:19] and and this uncircumcised Philistine

[43:23] God's going to give me him

[43:25] too David already already had faith that

[43:28] God's going to give the Victory and he

[43:29] hadn't even put picked up the stones

[43:32] yet he already had Faith how could he do

[43:35] that well because he was strengthened by

[43:36] The Faith from past victories

[43:41] amen but I want you to notice the end of

[43:43] verse

[43:46] 37 Saul says to David

[43:49] go and the Lord be with

[43:53] thee he went from you can't go to go

[43:57] and the Lord be with you why is that

[43:59] because Victory shared helped to

[44:02] rekindle

[44:05] others Victory shared of what God had

[44:08] done rekindled something and saw that he

[44:11] said you go and the Lord be with

[44:13] you you go and the Lord be with you

[44:16] Victory shared help to rekindle others

[44:19] and the victories over the Gian that you

[44:21] faced in your life when you give praise

[44:24] and glory to God will encourage and

[44:26] rekindle

[44:27] something in

[44:31] others so we looked at the first two

[44:33] look look what happens next verse

[44:36] 33 excuse me verse 38 and Saul armed

[44:39] David with his armor and he put a helmet

[44:42] of brass upon his head and also he armed

[44:45] him with a coat of mail and David GED

[44:47] his sword upon his armor and he assayed

[44:49] to go for he had not proved it and David

[44:53] said unto Saul I cannot go with these

[44:56] for I I have not proved them and David

[44:59] put them off

[45:02] him said I can't go with what you want

[45:05] me to go

[45:07] with so this is how I said it in our

[45:10] outline today number three giant Slayers

[45:13] are settled in themselves and not

[45:16] striving to be like

[45:18] others giant Slayers are settled in

[45:21] themselves and not striving to be like

[45:24] others Saul said take this armor

[45:27] take this sword take this coat of mail

[45:29] and David said I haven't proved it so

[45:30] what's he do well let's look he didn't

[45:32] just go without anything verse 39 David

[45:35] gted his sword upon his armor we saw all

[45:37] that verse 40 and he took his staff in

[45:39] his hand and he chws him five smooth

[45:40] stones out of the brook put them in a

[45:42] shepherd's bag which he had even a scrip

[45:46] and his sling was in his hand and he

[45:48] drew near to the

[45:52] Philistine so David couldn't take Saul's

[45:54] armor David didn't take his helmet David

[45:56] didn't take his sword he didn't take his

[45:58] coat of mail so what did David take well

[46:00] David took what God had given

[46:03] him David took what God gave him in

[46:06] other words we could say it this way

[46:08] they're settled in themselves and not

[46:09] striving to be like others letter a God

[46:11] made and equipped you to be you with

[46:15] him God made and equipped you to be you

[46:19] with him and you with God can slay

[46:24] Giants you don't have to be like

[46:26] somebody else you don't have to yield

[46:28] the sword the way they yield the sword

[46:30] you don't have to have the armor that

[46:31] they have you just go be you with God

[46:35] and God will make it come to

[46:37] pass you can't use the armor of others

[46:40] when God already equipped you for the

[46:43] battle you cannot use the armor of

[46:45] others if God has already equipped you

[46:47] for the battle God had already done a

[46:49] work in David's life and he's already

[46:51] ready for the

[46:54] battle you don't have to do it their way

[46:57] they do

[46:58] it giant Slayers are settled in

[47:01] themselves and not striving to be like

[47:06] others so David

[47:10] Goes he

[47:15] fights number four Giants are slayed by

[47:20] God

[47:21] using giant

[47:24] Killers Giants are slav

[47:27] by God

[47:30] using giant

[47:35] Killers letter a human vessels

[47:39] supernaturally influenced by

[47:43] God human vessels supernaturally

[47:47] influenced by God David took what he had

[47:51] did what he could with what he had and

[47:54] God did the rest

[47:57] you take what you have and you let God

[48:01] do the rest and you can slay the giant

[48:05] that's in your

[48:07] life in the end of the chapter God gets

[48:11] the

[48:12] victory God gets the

[48:15] victory but there's another part of this

[48:19] story David chops off Goliath's head

[48:23] David takes it home with him David takes

[48:25] the sword with him here a couple weeks

[48:27] ago on a Wednesday night we talked about

[48:29] when David went to fight the Phil went

[48:31] into the Philistine area and he stopped

[48:34] by a a place and the priest gave him the

[48:37] sword that killed

[48:39] Goliath but David had Goliath's head and

[48:43] the Bible tells he took it home with

[48:45] him and he put it in his tent on a

[48:50] pole it's pretty

[48:53] weird there there it is 9t tall guy big

[48:59] head but David's got it why God gets the

[49:03] victory but watch this we get the story

[49:05] of what God did we get to tell others

[49:09] what God did and how God slay this giant

[49:11] in our

[49:13] life and David got to tell the story of

[49:17] how God helped him to defeat

[49:21] Goliath giant Slayers recognize that

[49:25] Giants are slayed by God using giant

[49:29] Killers God gets the Victory and we get

[49:32] the story of what God

[49:35] did so

[49:39] tonight we said earlier everybody faces

[49:42] Giants everybody hears and sees

[49:46] Giants but not everybody slays

[49:49] them some people just keep facing them

[49:54] and if Giants aren't dealt with they

[49:56] will keep coming

[49:58] back so what's the name of your

[50:02] giant what's the name of your

[50:09] giant is it the giant of

[50:12] fear the giant of

[50:14] worry the giant of

[50:17] depression the giant of

[50:20] anxiety what's the name of your

[50:25] giant there you're going to keep

[50:29] coming and you're going to keep facing

[50:32] it unless you take some principles from

[50:35] the Giant Slayer side and make it part

[50:38] of your life

[50:40] tonight anxiety will always keep showing

[50:44] up

[50:46] amen until you learn to slay

[50:50] it I deal at times with people with PTSD

[50:58] you know how you slay that for people

[51:01] they get to a point that they recognize

[51:03] it's the PTSD talking it's not

[51:08] me say why is that important because

[51:10] then they recognize this is not

[51:14] truth this is a symptom of this process

[51:19] but it's not

[51:21] truth and people who deal with anxiety

[51:24] and depression and worrying listen there

[51:27] are times that things are chemically

[51:29] wrong in the medical world and your body

[51:32] is out of sink and you struggle more

[51:35] because of chemical reactions that are

[51:37] happening but there are other times

[51:39] where it's a lot of spiritual

[51:44] issue sometimes it's a physical one but

[51:47] many times it's a spiritual one but

[51:49] listen is going to keep coming

[51:52] back unless you slay that giant chop its

[51:55] head off and put it on a pole

[51:58] and say look what God

[52:00] did cuz the next time you're in a low

[52:04] point we talked about it earlier in the

[52:06] trench when you're in that low Point

[52:08] that's when the giant showing

[52:10] up that's when it's going to stand

[52:13] there instead of being just 9 foot tall

[52:15] now it's 11

[52:17] foot5 and your perspective is down and

[52:21] now it looks even bigger but listen our

[52:25] perspective giants look big strong and

[52:27] intimidating but from God's

[52:29] perspective we can do all things through

[52:33] Christ which strengthens us all things

[52:37] through

[52:38] him he is the one who slays

[52:41] Giants you know why you keep facing the

[52:44] same giant over some of you you know it

[52:47] your giant has a name he shows up often

[52:50] in your life you know the name of that

[52:53] giant it's always there

[52:56] keeps coming back you know why the

[52:59] struggle is so often cuz we haven't slay

[53:03] it you got to get step one you got to be

[53:07] submitted to Authority before the giant

[53:12] comes you got to be under the leadership

[53:15] and submission of the Holy Spirit and

[53:18] the word of God before that giant comes

[53:20] up amen amen because if

[53:25] not that GI is going to get

[53:29] you maybe your Giant's

[53:32] lust it's

[53:34] pornography wrong

[53:37] thinking

[53:39] gossip and you try and you try to do

[53:42] better you try to do better and you try

[53:45] to do better but you don't slay that

[53:50] giant listen we talked about Point

[53:52] number five people who face Giants they

[53:54] hear about the reward but they don't

[53:55] take action because of the

[53:58] emotions what what what's the reward of

[54:01] getting rid of giants in your spiritual

[54:04] life a better relationship with

[54:08] God what could God do with you if you

[54:12] get rid of the giant of pride in your

[54:14] life he accomplished great

[54:18] things but listen you will never you

[54:21] will never do what God wants you to do

[54:23] you have to get under what God put over

[54:26] you or you'll never get over what God

[54:29] wanted to put under you he wanted you to

[54:32] have victory over your pride he wanted

[54:33] to have victory over your lust he wanted

[54:35] you to have victory over that sin of

[54:37] pornography he wanted you to have

[54:38] victory over wrong thinking he wanted to

[54:40] have victory over worry he wanted you to

[54:42] have victory over anxiety you want to

[54:44] have victory over all of those things

[54:46] but if you won't even put yourself under

[54:47] the submission of the word of God and

[54:49] the spirit of God you're not going to

[54:51] get it amen until you submit yourself

[54:57] you're going to

[55:00] struggle but the submission part it's

[55:03] every

[55:05] day because you can say well I submitted

[55:07] one time and I got that one giant but

[55:09] these other Giants keep coming back you

[55:12] got to submit every day you got to place

[55:15] yourself

[55:16] under the authority of

[55:19] God and you got to be strengthened by

[55:21] your faith victories of the

[55:24] past you got to you got to have a a

[55:27] mindset that God did this the last time

[55:30] I dealt with this giant God helped me to

[55:32] get Victory this is how he did it so

[55:35] when that giant comes back God's already

[55:37] given me Victory once God will help me

[55:39] get Victory again because goath is not

[55:42] the only Giant on the

[55:45] battlefield the Bible records for us

[55:47] that he's got four

[55:49] brothers it's my personal opinion I

[55:52] think that's why David got five stones

[55:57] he thought if I mess with one brother I

[55:59] might have to mess with all of

[56:01] them he's got multiple Brothers he

[56:04] probably understands how Brothers

[56:07] work later on in the ministry of David

[56:10] he

[56:11] does get rid of all their other

[56:15] brothers but

[56:17] tonight what's the name of your

[56:20] giant what's the name of your giant that

[56:23] you're struggling

[56:25] with are you getting tired of facing him

[56:27] over and over and over and over and not

[56:31] getting Victory and not slaying that

[56:34] giant are you getting tired of that

[56:36] giant crying

[56:38] out all the time in your life you find

[56:41] yourself shrinking in a position of

[56:46] fear because that giant looks so big

[56:50] that giant looks so strong there's no

[56:53] way there's no way that I could do

[56:57] it are are you looking to kill Giants

[57:01] using somebody else's

[57:05] armor you're not going to get the same

[57:09] victory that someone else

[57:12] had trying to do it the same way when

[57:15] you're not the same

[57:17] person there are biblical principles

[57:19] that are true throughout the word of God

[57:22] but the way God uses them in people's

[57:24] life many times can be revealed by the

[57:29] person's makeup of what they

[57:31] are my wife and I are drastically

[57:35] different it drives her

[57:38] nuts sometimes it drives me nuts because

[57:42] we're so

[57:44] different my wife doesn't like stressful

[57:49] situations she doesn't enjoy those

[57:54] moments stressed to me is like you just

[57:57] filled me up with gasoline I'm ready to

[58:00] go stress for me is

[58:03] fuel but for my wife it's

[58:07] not but listen God knew that about us

[58:11] when he put us

[58:14] together and you know what happens in

[58:17] those

[58:18] moments when she

[58:20] struggling I get to be strong and when

[58:24] I'm struggling she gets to be strong

[58:28] because God knows exactly what we need

[58:30] when he gave us our

[58:34] spouse and because God did that we are

[58:38] stronger together than we are

[58:42] apart and the strength that

[58:46] comes but the way I handle stress I

[58:50] can't look at my wife and say you should

[58:51] do it like I do it it's not going to

[58:54] work it's not going to

[58:58] work why cuz it's my armor it's not

[59:01] going to fit

[59:02] her it doesn't make sense for her to do

[59:05] it the way I do it our brains are

[59:07] different our personalities are

[59:09] different it's not going to

[59:10] work but how can she can get she can

[59:13] take what God gave

[59:14] her and what God's equipped her with and

[59:17] with God's help have a marvelous

[59:20] Victory and I can take what God's given

[59:23] me and with God's help have a marvelous

[59:25] victory

[59:26] I don't have to do it like somebody else

[59:29] hey we can get our eyes on other people

[59:31] way too

[59:34] often and we think well it worked for

[59:37] them so that's how I have to deal with

[59:38] that but they're not even dealing with

[59:40] the same name of a giant that you

[59:43] are so tonight what's the name of your

[59:47] giant and do you want to move past giant

[59:49] facer to get to Giant Slayer it starts

[59:53] with submitting yourself to the

[59:55] authority of God and his

[66:55] multiple chest tubes to relieve pressure

[67:06] continue to pray for the windborn family

[67:08] they're making progress uh but still a

[67:11] lot of them dealing with sickness and

[67:13] getting their strength back so you pray

[67:22] week and still waiting on all the

[67:24] results there and some plan of action

[67:32] with a hernia situation that's

[67:34] preventing her from walking a lot

[67:36] because she gets shortness of breath and

[67:44] relief that she needs uh so she can kind

[67:47] of get back to at least moving around

[67:49] and functioning a little bit better we'd

[69:37] they need to change the custody

[69:38] situation so really pray for that issue

[69:44] and so um the Lord knows and the Lord is

[69:46] able and so let's pray for that let's

[70:25] and uh had a conversation with him and

[70:28] asked him if there was anything in

[70:33] this was our mayor's response he said

[70:35] pastor Adam thank you so much for

[70:37] reaching out I would just ask for wisdom

[70:40] and discernment as we make decisions for

[70:44] our city also for God to watch over and

[70:48] protect

[70:50] eleno and to drive the forces of evil

[70:53] and darkness from our City that the

[70:57] citizens that don't have a personal

[70:59] relationship with Jesus for them to come

[71:02] to a relationship with him thank you

[71:06] mayor Steve Jensen so that's his prayer

[71:08] request that he asked us to pray as we

[71:11] pray for him this week so that is for

[71:14] wisdom and discernment as they make

[71:16] decisions for the city for God to watch

[71:18] over and protect eleno to drive the

[71:21] forces of evil and darkness from our

[71:22] city and that citizens that don't have a

[71:25] personal relationship with Jesus for

[71:27] them to come to a relationship with him

[71:29] so be in prayer for that and be in

[71:32] prayer for the mayor this week and we

[71:34] appreciate that also pray for his family

[71:37] uh being in a uh government position and

[71:40] all that stuff that comes with that so

[71:42] pray for his family I think they still

[71:44] have one teenager still at home and so

[71:47] pray for him if you would as well okay

[71:50] and so let's on purpose pray for the

[71:53] requests tonight and and then also be in

[71:56] prayer uh for our mayor and uh the

[71:59] requests that he made mention of it's

[72:01] exciting to hear from a mayor who's

[72:03] concerned about the salvation of his

[72:05] citizens and so be in prayer for that if

[72:07] you would okay and so we're going to

[72:10] take a few moments you can pray where

[72:12] you're at if you want to come to the

[72:13] altar the altar is available and we'll

[72:16] have a few moments of just praying and

[72:18] then after that I will lead us in a word

[72:20] of prayer and we will be dismissed right

[72:23] after that prayer with a closing song so

[72:25] let's spend some time in prayer for

[72:27] these requests and the altars are

[72:29] available if you want to use them but

[72:30] I'd encourage you to pray with the

[72:31] people nearby and lift your voices to

[73:51] she's in a medical induced coma right

[73:54] now Lord and lord they're trying to

[73:57] figure out exactly what's going on we

[73:59] pray that you be with the family be with

[74:01] the church there give them strength as

[74:03] her pastor and his family is dealing

[74:05] with this

[74:07] situation Lord we pray for Miss

[74:09] Stephanie Who's down on her back we pray

[74:11] for um this family that Miss Brie

[74:15] mentioned that is dealing with this

[74:17] terrible custody issue Lord that you

[74:20] would intervene in a way that only you

[74:22] could we pray for Miss Robbie and her

[74:25] health and her family members that need

[74:26] to be saved Lord that you would work

[74:30] miraculously in those things Lord we

[74:33] pray also for um Miss Leah White and the

[74:36] situation she's dealing with with her

[74:38] health you'd help and intervene there

[74:41] for James Lord and his hernas and muscle

[74:46] tears Lord that you would help the

[74:48] doctors have wisdom how to treat that

[74:51] Lord we're thankful for how you work in

[74:53] our lives Lord we pray tonight as we go

[74:56] home we'll be challenged the next time

[74:59] we're dealing with a giant that we're

[75:00] hearing a giant or seeing a giant Lord

[75:03] that we'll slay it and not just face it

[75:07] Lord I pray you'd help us to bring honor

[75:09] and glory to you and all that we say and
