[0:19] CBS News headquarters in New York.
[0:22] [music] Good evening. Cleveland, Ohio
[0:24] was not about to let its South High
[0:26] School become another Coline after
[0:29] learning of an alleged, possibly
[0:31] racially motivated student massacre
[0:33] plot. The mayor today shut the school
[0:35] down and police made arrests. CBS's
[0:38] Cynthia Bowers is in Cleveland with the
[0:40] latest on this still developing story.
[0:43] Police stand guard over South High
[0:45] School in Cleveland, closed and deserted
[0:47] on a day that was to have been
[0:49] homecoming after officials say they
[0:51] uncovered plans for a school massacre.
[0:53] >> They just started talking about how they
[0:55] were going to go in the school and just
[0:56] start killing people. That's all they
[0:58] was just random. They would just kill
[0:59] anybody who was in the way.
[1:00] >> Four students have been arrested,
[1:02] charged with inciting violence and
[1:04] ethnic intimidation. Two guns have been
[1:06] confiscated. Police say the plan, which
[1:08] was to have been carried out today, was
[1:10] averted when a scared student came
[1:13] forward.
[1:13] >> They spoke out and their courage allowed
[1:16] us to develop preventative steps that
[1:18] could have ultimately been terribly
[1:20] tragic. 15-year-old Sarah Jed was
[1:23] questioned by police because her name is
[1:25] on a document linked to the plot. Today
[1:28] she agreed to talk to CBS News,
[1:30] describing in chilling detail where each
[1:32] of the gunmen, her frien
