[0:24] as we dive into revelation chapter 14

[0:27] today

[0:29] revelation 14 verse number 9 the bible

[0:32] says and the third angel

[0:34] follow them saying with a loud voice if

[0:37] any man worship the beast and his image

[0:39] and receive his mark in his forehead or

[0:42] in his hand

[0:43] the same shall drink of the wine of the

[0:45] wrath of god

[0:47] which is poured out without mixture into

[0:49] the cup of his indignation

[0:51] and he shall be tormented with fire and

[0:53] brimstone in the presence of the holy

[0:55] angels and in the presence of the lamb

[0:57] and the smoke of their torment ascendeth

[0:59] up forever and ever

[1:01] they have no rest day nor night who

[1:04] worship the beast and his image

[1:06] and whosoever receiveth the mark of his

[1:09] name

[1:10] now here in chapter 14 this is the third

[1:12] angel

[1:13] uh the first angel we talked about two

[1:15] weeks ago was the one with the

[1:17] everlasting gospel

[1:18] and even though there was uh the turning

[1:22] away of man's heart away from god

[1:24] god still offering grace and mercy

[1:28] last week we talked about the angel with

[1:30] the fall of babylon

[1:32] and the prophecy of that happening and

[1:34] that will happen and we'll talk more

[1:36] about it

[1:37] in the upcoming chapters but here in our

[1:40] section today

[1:41] we've got this third angel and he's

[1:44] crying out to those that who are going

[1:46] to worship

[1:47] look at that worship the beast and his

[1:50] image

[1:51] and receive his mark in his forehead or

[1:53] in his hand

[1:54] so the beast we know is the antichrist

[1:57] but the ultimate beast that's working

[1:59] behind the scenes

[2:00] is the devil himself and during the

[2:02] tribulation period

[2:04] especially during the second half god's

[2:07] wrath is going to be poured out upon

[2:08] this world because the world is going to

[2:11] turn their back on god they're going to

[2:13] blaspheme god the second part of the

[2:16] tribulation period also

[2:18] you know we call it the 70th week of

[2:19] daniel god's judgments coming upon the

[2:22] land to turn their hearts back to god

[2:25] but we'll find here in verse number nine

[2:27] this announcement by this angel tells

[2:29] the people

[2:30] what options there are for them living

[2:32] during the tribulation period

[2:35] see there's one option is to worship the

[2:37] beast

[2:38] and to be damned by god forever or to

[2:41] worship god

[2:43] and be damned by the beast now

[2:45] revelation 13 gives the details of the

[2:47] mark of the beast

[2:49] so imagine this now you're living during

[2:51] the tribulation period because you've

[2:53] not accepted jesus christ as your savior

[2:56] you're an unsaved person you're living

[2:59] during the tribulation period or maybe

[3:00] you've heard the testimony of the

[3:02] witnesses

[3:03] but we're fight we're gonna say they're

[3:05] an unsaved person here

[3:07] they do not know jesus christ as their

[3:09] savior

[3:10] and all the sudden this beast the

[3:12] antichrist declares

[3:14] if you want your kids to eat going to

[3:17] have to take

[3:18] my mark and you're going to have to

[3:21] worship me

[3:22] because we know the antichrist sets

[3:24] himself self up to be

[3:25] god and so it's not just that they got

[3:28] the mark

[3:29] 666 it's not that they put it just on

[3:32] their hand or upon their forehead

[3:34] it is that they blaspheme god

[3:37] and turn away their hearts

[3:40] toward satan and the worship of the

[3:43] antichrist

[3:45] and because of that imagine that

[3:46] struggle one might have within oneself

[3:50] that their children could be starving

[3:51] and someone said all you have to do is

[3:53] take the mark

[3:55] and you'll be able to buy food so here

[3:57] this angel's crying out no

[3:58] don't do it don't take the mark

[4:02] because if you take the mark you're

[4:03] going to be eternally

[4:05] damned from god those who take the mark

[4:08] of the beast during the tribulation

[4:10] period

[4:11] there's fate is sealed in verse 11 we

[4:14] know in verse 10

[4:15] 11 their judgment is going to be in the

[4:17] lake of fire for

[4:19] all eternity so it's going to be

[4:22] difficult for some

[4:23] but this mark it's not just getting a

[4:26] mark it's

[4:26] blaspheming god it's turning their back

[4:29] on god

[4:31] now you'll notice in verse 10 it says

[4:32] that it's the divine

[4:34] wrath of god said the same shall drink

[4:37] of the wine of the wrath of god which is

[4:38] poured out without mixture

[4:40] into the cup of his indignation it's

[4:43] it's terrible god's wrath will be poured

[4:46] out without mixture now

[4:47] i'm not a huge coffee drinker but i'm

[4:49] developing more of a habit

[4:52] but i'm not to the point yet that i can

[4:54] handle a straight

[4:56] black coffee undiluted

[4:59] coffee with no cream no sugar i'm not

[5:01] there yet i'm working my way there

[5:04] right now i can handle one cream and one

[5:06] sugar

[5:08] but as we work our way there it it

[5:11] softens

[5:11] the bitterness of the coffee with that

[5:15] cream and sugar

[5:18] it makes it a little easier to go down

[5:20] but here in the context the

[5:23] undiluted wrath of god

[5:26] without mixture nothing

[5:30] there to soften the blow

[5:33] now god's judgment hasn't always

[5:36] included

[5:36] mercy and grace but at this period of

[5:38] time

[5:39] god's undiluted wrath is going to be

[5:42] poured out

[5:43] on the people who blaspheme against god

[5:47] what is the worst thing that can happen

[5:49] to any person

[5:51] who turns their back on god is to be

[5:54] eternally

[5:55] separated from god in the lake of fire

[5:59] it's going to be an awful time it's

[6:00] without mixture

[6:02] speaks of the wrath without mercy and

[6:05] grace

[6:07] the severity of this judgment cannot be

[6:09] fully

[6:10] imagined how awful it's going to be the

[6:14] bible talks about it

[6:16] in fact if you study the new testament

[6:18] jesus preached more on hell and

[6:20] mentioned hell

[6:21] more often than he did heaven in fact

[6:24] jesus

[6:25] more than any other writer in the new

[6:27] testament

[6:28] spoke about hell

[6:32] it's an awful place now in our judgment

[6:35] here we find the smoke of their torment

[6:37] ascended up forever and ever

[6:39] they have no rest day or night

[6:42] there are those who believe that hell is

[6:44] not a literal

[6:45] place it's not real even the pope

[6:49] himself has said

[6:51] it's not a real place how shocking that

[6:54] is

[6:54] because if hell is not a real place

[6:56] there's no judgment for those

[6:58] who blaspheme against god there's no

[7:00] judgment for those that are unsaved

[7:03] those who think that hell is just death

[7:06] and after you die that's the end

[7:10] that's not true the bible speaks very

[7:13] clearly that it's a place of

[7:15] everlasting torments

[7:18] in luke chapter 16 it describes a place

[7:21] called hell

[7:22] the lake of fire is that eternal

[7:25] destination for all those who have

[7:27] rejected god

[7:29] as their savior and this place of

[7:32] torments

[7:34] plural torments it's a place of fire

[7:37] where the fire is not quenched and the

[7:39] worm dieth not the bible describes it as

[7:43] a

[7:43] place of weeping and wailing and

[7:46] gnashing of teeth

[7:48] the lake of fire is eternal

[7:51] the lake of fire also we see in luke 16

[7:54] that the rich man

[7:56] had his memories the lake of fire

[7:59] will be an awful place of those who have

[8:03] rejected god

[8:05] will spend eternity but god didn't

[8:07] prepare it

[8:08] for people god prepared it for the devil

[8:11] and his

[8:12] angels the lake of fire is

[8:15] not god's desire listen to me closely it

[8:18] is not god's desire

[8:19] that any man woman boy or girl spend

[8:22] eternity in the lake of fire

[8:25] the bible says he came to seek him to

[8:26] save that which was lost he wants

[8:28] all people to come into the knowledge of

[8:30] salvation he wants all people

[8:32] to be spared and even during this period

[8:35] of time

[8:36] he's crying out through this third angel

[8:39] listen don't take the mark

[8:43] don't reject god now i can help you

[8:46] today

[8:47] you don't have to make that decision of

[8:49] whether or not you're gonna take the

[8:51] mark of the beast

[8:53] if you're a christian or if you've

[8:54] accepted jesus christ as your savior

[8:57] you're not going to be there

[9:00] no christian will have to decide whether

[9:04] to take the mark or not

[9:06] because a christian who's saved today

[9:10] will be raptured out in a

[9:12] pre-tribulational rapture

[9:14] now i know there are those who believe

[9:15] in a different time frame of the rapture

[9:18] but they don't have a leg to stand on

[9:19] the bible is clear

[9:21] of when the rapture takes place

[9:24] but you'll find here in our text that

[9:26] god is still offering grace there is

[9:29] judgment coming

[9:30] his undiluted wrath will be poured out

[9:33] without mixture upon those

[9:36] they'll be tormented forever and

[9:39] ever and ever

[9:42] i could say to you this way the best

[9:44] time to get saved was yesterday

[9:47] the second best time is today my friend

[9:48] if you're watching this video today

[9:50] and you do not know jesus christ as your

[9:52] savior there's an opportunity for you to

[9:55] be saved today

[9:56] the bible tells us in the book of romans

[9:58] for all of sin and come short of the

[9:59] glory of god

[10:00] that whosoever shall call upon the name

[10:02] of the lord shall be saved

[10:04] for the wages of sin is death but the

[10:06] gift of god is eternal life

[10:08] through jesus christ our lord it is a

[10:10] gift

[10:11] romans 5 8 it says god commented this

[10:13] love toward us and that while we were

[10:15] yet sinners christ

[10:16] died for us even though you're a sinner

[10:20] he died for you he loves you

[10:22] we just celebrated our church

[10:23] resurrection sunday

[10:25] a time where we get together and talk

[10:27] about he's alive jesus

[10:29] is alive no other no other religion has

[10:32] a living savior their gods are

[10:35] dead but ours is alive

[10:38] but if you don't know jesus christ as

[10:40] your savior today is the day of

[10:42] salvation

[10:44] but my friend the doom of the wicked is

[10:46] the everlasting judgment

[10:48] of the lake of fire in verse 11 there's

[10:51] no rest day or night

[10:55] no stopping the pain imagine the sensory

[10:59] overload

[11:00] when every feeling of nerve in your body

[11:05] is having the sensation of being burned

[11:09] but it doesn't numb the pain

[11:13] it continues on day

[11:17] after day after day

[11:20] after day there's no annihilation

[11:23] you continue day after day

[11:27] after day my friend if you are a

[11:30] christian

[11:31] this ought to motivate you to share the

[11:34] gospel with your family your friends

[11:36] and even those you don't get along with

[11:38] because no christian

[11:40] wants any person to die and go to hell

[11:46] this section of scripture gives the

[11:50] sad end to those who reject god

[11:54] god does not send anyone to hell

[11:58] people choose to go there and in

[12:01] revelation 14 they make the choice to

[12:03] take the mark

[12:04] they don't have to they make the

[12:07] decision to

[12:08] and that brings about the everlasting

[12:11] doom
