[0:55] the east coast is on high alert and

[1:04] heart Hurricane Sandy a sprawling system
[1:07] more than 800 miles wide capturing these
[1:10] amazing images from space after killing
[1:13] more than 50 people and causing heavy
[1:15] flooding in the Caribbean Sandy tonight
[1:17] is tracking parallel along the US Coast
[1:20] toward a rare and Fateful Rendevous on
[1:22] Monday with two other potent weather
[1:24] systems call it a hybrid storm it's
[1:26] expected to send the full force of Sandy
[1:29] creating a Shore somewhere between
[1:31] Virginia and New York with damaging
[1:33] winds and torrential rains the storm
[1:35] will likely impact some 64 million
[1:38] people tonight eight states in the
[1:40] district of Colombia are under states of
[1:42] emergency as officials brace for severe
[1:44] flooding and prolonged power outage
