[0:00] I think the designer will start revoling
[0:02] as they gain these skills. They will
[0:03] realize, oh what were we doing?
[0:06] We're doing a lot of the designs. We
[0:08] will just maybe prototype in cursor
[0:10] because that kind of lets us really
[0:12] interact with, you know, the live states
[0:14] of the app. It just feels a lot more
[0:15] real than [music] some pictures in
[0:17] Sigma. All this back and forth of like,
[0:19] uh, the engineer built something, but
[0:21] it's like, I don't know, 50 pixels off
[0:23] and it's like here's wrong, here's
[0:24] wrong, here's wrong, here's the spec,
[0:26] here's my like red line. back to the
[0:28] engineer.
[0:29] >> You just built this through like
[0:30] prompting cursor.
[0:31] >> Yeah. I think when I started doing
[0:33] these, it really required like say more
[0:35] technical knowledge. But now it's like
[0:38] with the newer models [music] and new
[0:39] like cursor features, you can almost
[0:41] like do anything like one shot get
[0:43] something really close.
[0:45] >> Most of designers in the industry are
[0:46] still just in Figma, right? They're just
[0:48] like making mocks. How do they become
[0:49] more like a real
[0:50] >> de cursor and then try to start
[0:52] something?
[0:54] Okay, welcome everyone. My guest today
[0:56] is Rio, head of design at Cursor. Uh Rio
[0:58] has built a pretty amazing personal
[1:01] operating system that's feels very retro
[1:03] and honestly blew me away. He built it
[1:05] completely using cursor and AI. So he's
[1:07] going to do a walkthrough of it and also
[1:09] uh use cursor to add a new feature to
[1:11] his operating system without using Figma
[1:13] at all. And then hopefully we have some
[1:15] time to talk about how the cursor team
[1:16] builds p
