[0:46] President Obama's pen is getting quite a
[0:48] workout in first his first days in the
[0:51] white house he's using it just as he
[0:53] said he would to undo what he believes
[0:56] his predecessor did wrong dealing with
[0:58] terrorism and more the new chief
[1:00] executive issued a series of executive
[1:02] orders today as our chief White House
[1:04] correspondent chip Reed reports with the
[1:08] stroke of a pen President Obama reversed
[1:10] some of the Bush administration's most
[1:12] controversial policies in the war on
[1:14] terrorism signing executive orders
[1:17] closing the Guantanamo Bay prison within
[1:19] a year shuttering the cia's overseas
[1:21] prisons and banning harsh interrogation
[1:24] tactics we can abide by uh a rule that
[1:28] says we don't torture Mr Obama said he's
[1:31] sending a message to the world that the
[1:33] United States will vigilantly prosecute
[1:35] the struggle against terrorism and we
[1:37] are going to do so in a manner that is
[1:39] consistent with our values and our
[1:41] ideals we intend to win this fight we're
[1:44] going to win it on our terms a key
