[7:35] prayer request received right before

[7:36] service Noah huie uh judge huie's son uh

[7:40] had a heart procedure and during the

[7:42] heart procedure discovered an aneurysm

[7:45] uh that was very large and he's in

[7:47] Baptist hospital so prayer was requested

[7:50] for Noah huie so if you would be praying

[7:52] for that and also thank the Lord for the

[7:55] change offering this morning to change a

[7:57] life um just in the the coin buckets

[8:00] that came in uh we had

[8:04] $588 for Bibles today so praise the Lord

[8:08] for that I know some of you said

[8:10] preacher I forgot my coins I'm bringing

[8:11] them tonight we'll put them in and we'll

[8:13] get them counted up and we added that to

[8:15] the total but tonight we want to be a

[8:17] blessing uh with our regular tithes and

[8:19] offerings but also to the Halls as they

[8:21] travel around the country preaching the

[8:23] gospel and really around the world and

[8:25] so if you'd like to be a part of any of

[8:27] the cash that comes in tonight uh that's

[8:29] not Mark ties and offerings we go to the

[8:31] hall family to be a blessing to them as

[34:36] um last fall last fall the lord gave me

[34:41] this message gave me this thought and

[34:44] and I sat down and I worked on it

[34:45] developed it but I realized it was not

[34:48] going to be a mission's message that I

[34:50] could preach at every church this is the

[34:52] first church that I've preached this

[34:54] message out and and you know every time

[34:58] I come I look a and especially at the

[35:02] young

[35:03] people right now now for those of us

[35:06] that aren't quite as

[35:09] young right then then please understand

[35:13] man it is a great thing to have a church

[35:16] where there's a lot of young people

[35:18] right and I I was laughing this morning

[35:20] because uh you know all the kids I'm

[35:23] assuming that was Sunday School classes

[35:25] and everything that was over there and

[35:27] even the little kids and we're having

[35:29] the song service and you hear little

[35:30] kids over there I want my

[35:33] mom you know and and you know some folks

[35:36] are kind of looking and I'm sitting

[35:38] there thinking man that's great that's

[35:40] great I'll tell you why it's because

[35:42] there's some churches that we go into

[35:45] they'd love to have young people you

[35:48] know and so I I'm I'm building up

[35:51] because I want to talk to you this

[35:53] evening about helping missionaries from

[35:55] your church

[35:58] at some point in time really I believe

[36:00] with all my heart with the number of

[36:02] young people that you have in your

[36:04] church at some point in time you're

[36:06] going to have somebody that's going to

[36:07] surrender to the mission field and

[36:09] they're going to be sent out a Bible

[36:10] Baptist Church eleno Oklahoma all right

[36:14] and what a joy that is right and but may

[36:18] I say this you've got to understand

[36:21] because not every church has someone

[36:24] sent out because not every Church knows

[36:26] what to do how to do to have someone

[36:29] sent out of your church and I want to

[36:31] give you Acts chapter number 13 I want

[36:34] to give you some things that the Bible

[36:36] gives us about how we help missionaries

[36:39] sent out from our church look with me if

[36:42] you would in Acts Chapter 13 Verse

[36:43] number one it says now there were in the

[36:46] church that was at Antioch first of all

[36:49] stop and realize God's local

[36:52] church he doesn't just say that was in

[36:54] the church he defines where that church

[36:56] was at ant o um certain prophets and

[37:00] teachers as Barnabas and Simeon that was

[37:02] called Niger and Lucius of sirene and

[37:05] man andam which had been brought up with

[37:07] Herod the tetrarch and Saul you you get

[37:11] that there's five five Elders or

[37:14] teachers in this church verse number two

[37:16] as they ministered to the Lord and

[37:19] fasted the Holy Ghost said separate me

[37:21] Barnabas and Saul for the work where to

[37:24] I have called them and when they had

[37:27] fast fed and prayed laid their hands on

[37:29] them they they as the church at Antioch

[37:32] sent them away so they Paul and Barnabas

[37:36] uh being sent forth by the Holy Ghost

[37:39] departed un salua and from then they

[37:42] sailed to Cyprus see in verse number

[37:45] four where it says they sailed to Cyprus

[37:47] that is the first time you find modern

[37:50] mode of transportation being used to

[37:53] take the gospel all right from acts one

[37:56] all the way up to Acts 13 The Gospel

[37:58] went Where They carried it with their

[38:00] feet now in Acts 13 verse number four

[38:04] Paul or Saul and Barnabas are getting in

[38:06] a ship and they're sailing all right now

[38:10] they're using modern mode of

[38:11] transportation they're getting in an

[38:14] airplane all right I thank God that I

[38:16] don't have to be Hudson Taylor and get

[38:18] in a ship to go halfway around the world

[38:21] because then it would take three months

[38:22] to get to Southeast Asia and now it

[38:25] takes 30 hours

[38:27] 30 hours is a lot better than 3 months

[38:30] all right and so again I want to talk to

[38:32] you about helping missionaries from your

[38:34] church let's pray father help me to have

[38:37] the attention of these th dear people

[38:39] Lord this is the the message that you've

[38:41] laid upon my heart a and father I don't

[38:43] know what you'll do here in days ahead

[38:45] but you do and Lord you know what you'll

[38:48] do you know who you'll do it with you

[38:50] know how you'll do it but Lord help us

[38:52] to be good stewards of that which we

[38:55] have not just the financial resources

[38:57] but Lord help us to be good stewards of

[38:59] the labor resources Lord I pray not just

[39:02] for the young people Lord I I I think of

[39:05] brother vest and Lord he he was in his

[39:08] 50s before he surrendered to the mission

[39:10] field Lord I was 46 before I surrendered

[39:13] so Lord this thing of missions is not

[39:15] just a young people thing although many

[39:18] times Lord we look at the young people

[39:20] and we think that that they ought to

[39:23] surrender and I agree Lord if you call

[39:25] them Lord somebody is going to have to

[39:27] take brother vest

[39:29] Place Lord somebody's going to have to

[39:31] take my place and so Lord I pray that

[39:34] you'd use this message tonight for your

[39:36] honor For Your Glory sake and we'll

[39:38] thank you for what you do in Jesus name

[39:40] we ask amen you know the truth is is

[39:43] that your church and your pastor ought

[39:46] to desire to have somebody sent from

[39:48] your church right I just happen to think

[39:51] it's a big deal for churches to send out

[39:53] missionaries I don't just think it's a

[39:55] big deal I think it's a bibl IAL deal

[39:58] Jesus said as my father has sent me even

[40:01] so send I you in John chapter number 20

[40:04] so it's a great honor to have someone

[40:07] from among you called of God to take the

[40:11] gospel to somewhere in the other most

[40:13] parts of the earth now you understand

[40:16] you're called to take the gospel to

[40:17] eleno and Yukon and Oklahoma City

[40:21] right amen you know you're called to do

[40:24] that but we're also called to get the

[40:27] gos to the uttermost parts of the earth

[40:29] many times we think of well we'll give

[40:32] and I get that go or send a substitute

[40:35] but may I say it's a great privilege to

[40:37] have someone sent out of your church

[40:40] because then when they come back and

[40:41] Report you realize how much of an

[40:44] investment that is I was not raised in

[40:47] an independent Baptist Church right I

[40:49] was raised in a Southern Baptist Church

[40:52] do you know that my pastor that led me

[40:54] to the Lord when I was a child and his

[40:56] wife

[40:57] they still brag on the fact that little

[41:02] Curtis I know to y'all I'm not little

[41:04] Curtis but to them I'm still seven years

[41:08] old and they look and little Curtis is

[41:11] serving God on the mission field all

[41:14] right to those ladies that kept me in

[41:16] the nursery and that taught me VBS and

[41:19] to the men that taught me in Sunday

[41:21] school they look and they're like man

[41:24] little

[41:25] Curtis right see you'll do the same

[41:29] thing to I realize to all of them I'm

[41:32] little Curtis and I thank God for it

[41:35] amen I remind them every time I see them

[41:44] it's it's okay no I'm teasing right but

[41:47] but with this great

[41:50] honor to whom much is given much is

[41:54] required with this great honor comes a

[41:56] great

[41:58] responsibility not just on those that

[42:00] have been called but on those that are

[42:03] doing the sending as well right acts 13

[42:07] gives us a Biblical blueprint to help us

[42:10] with this I want you to notice with me

[42:12] first of all look in verse number two I

[42:15] want you to see their

[42:16] selection and it says as they there's

[42:19] talking about these five men uh uh

[42:22] Barnabas Simeon uh Lucius manum and then

[42:26] Saul and they ministered to the Lord and

[42:30] fasted you

[42:32] know fasting is a Biblical

[42:36] thing right and not just for us as

[42:40] Christians but as leadership in your

[42:42] church as well fasting is a good thing

[42:45] as they ministered to the Lord and

[42:47] fasted the Holy Ghost said now notice is

[42:50] not the church

[42:51] said the Holy Ghost said separate me

[42:54] Barnabas and Saul for the work wherein I

[42:57] the Holy Ghost have called them so there

[43:00] has to be a holy calling only from the

[43:03] Lord in their

[43:06] selection a lot of people look at the

[43:09] you know man it must be nice to

[43:12] travel I kind of like to do that well

[43:15] don't do it unless God calls you all

[43:18] right and when you talk about the

[43:20] selection as a missionary there has to

[43:22] be a holy calling from the Lord this

[43:25] person obviously has got to be saved

[43:29] right and so they've got to have the

[43:31] Holy Spirit living inside of them so

[43:33] that the Holy Spirit can speak to them

[43:36] and direct them in with that now this

[43:39] person has to be close enough to the

[43:41] Lord to recognize when the Holy Spirit

[43:44] is

[43:47] directing you know we can quench the

[43:50] Holy Spirit we can grieve the Holy

[43:53] Spirit and you can have sin in your life

[43:56] that causes the Holy Spirit to not be as

[44:00] strong and be able to direct you as he

[44:02] would like

[44:03] to listen people often times say well

[44:06] how do you how do you know if God's

[44:08] calling I always say how do you know

[44:09] you're

[44:11] saved well I know then you'll know when

[44:14] God's

[44:16] calling right if you're saved right and

[44:20] you're living close to the Lord you'll

[44:22] know you'll know I didn't find any verse

[44:25] that said thou Curtis Hall shall be a

[44:29] missionary right all I did was did do

[44:33] the things I knew God wanted me to do

[44:35] you won't obey the unwritten will of God

[44:38] if you don't obey the written will of

[44:41] God all right and so this person has got

[44:44] to be uh close enough to the Lord to

[44:47] recognize the Holy Spirit direct him but

[44:49] may I say this this person must be

[44:51] faithful enough to be an active part of

[44:54] their local church

[44:57] here here's Barnabas and Saul it says as

[44:59] they ministered to the Lord where in

[45:01] their local church and fasted the Holy

[45:05] Ghost said separate me Barnabas and Saul

[45:07] for the work wherein to I have called

[45:09] them you know the Holy Ghost is calling

[45:11] them out of Act of service in one local

[45:14] church for them to take the gospel to

[45:16] the uttermost parts in other

[45:20] churches listen if you won't go so in in

[45:23] eleno you won't go sowi in in Bangkok

[45:28] don't don't don't don't get mad at that

[45:31] but but if you're not active in your

[45:34] local church here you're not going to go

[45:36] to another geographical area and all of

[45:38] a sudden become active by the way

[45:42] there's five five teachers five Elders

[45:45] in this church at Antioch guess what God

[45:47] called two of them

[45:48] out no now look at me you can get mad at

[45:51] me all you want to with this but but for

[45:55] far too long we've looked

[45:57] and we said well you know if you can't

[45:59] do anything else you can be a

[46:02] missionary God's philosophy is I want to

[46:05] take two of your best and your

[46:08] brightest and I'm going to take them

[46:10] away from your church and I'm going to

[46:12] send them somewhere else listen to me

[46:14] God will not be a

[46:16] debor if God is going to take someone

[46:19] actively serving in one of your best in

[46:22] your church and send them somewhere else

[46:24] God won't be a debtor to you he'll give

[46:26] you more more back to replace those that

[46:28] he takes I I had a man when I Pastor

[46:31] come to me and he goes Pastor I think

[46:33] God wants me to go to a certain certain

[46:35] uh little s little town in Southern

[46:37] Indiana and Planet church I said great

[46:40] he said you're okay with that I said

[46:42] absolutely and he goes wow he goes okay

[46:46] he was expecting a little bit more of no

[46:48] brother you're an adult Sunday school

[46:50] teacher and your wife does this and your

[46:53] family sings specials and they're part

[46:55] of the choir and I and but hey I

[46:57] understood this if God was going to take

[47:00] them out God was going to send me

[47:02] more for taking out and God did to the

[47:08] point I started saying if God's called

[47:09] any of the rest of

[47:12] you you want to grow the church you've

[47:14] got to grow biblical multiplication is

[47:18] by

[47:19] division right and so but but this

[47:22] person again if you're not actively

[47:24] serving in your sending Church you won't

[47:27] be actively serving somewhere

[47:29] else right and so let me give you this

[47:33] uh they're called out of a local church

[47:35] we get that the church at Antioch

[47:37] they're sent out of a local church verse

[47:39] number three it says and when they they

[47:42] is the church at Antioch had fasted and

[47:45] prayed and laid their hands on them they

[47:49] the church at Antioch sent them away

[47:52] listen to me I'm not against Mission

[47:54] boards or Clearing Houses or anything

[47:55] but you understand God uses local

[47:58] churches right you're going to be sent

[48:01] out of a local church you're not going

[48:03] to be sent out of a mission board

[48:04] Mission board does not have the

[48:06] authority to sin a clearing house does

[48:07] not have the authority to sin a local

[48:09] church is the one that has the authority

[48:12] to sin Christ died for the

[48:16] church amen again I'm not against boards

[48:19] or Clearing Houses they have their place

[48:22] but they are not the sending agency that

[48:25] is the local church all right the church

[48:28] has the authority to send them out verse

[48:31] number three again I reiterate when they

[48:34] the church at Antioch had fasted and

[48:35] prayed and laid there the church at

[48:38] Antioch hands on them they the church at

[48:40] Antioch sent them away I say this they

[48:45] got to be supported by that local

[48:48] church the book of Acts is written by a

[48:52] man by the name of Luke does anybody

[48:55] know who he's writing to

[48:58] he's writing to a man named

[49:01] theophus theopus it the name Theophilus

[49:05] means loved by God all right I believe

[49:10] Theophilus I believe the the book of

[49:13] Acts is a missions

[49:17] letter written to this man theopus and I

[49:21] I I got my reasoning why I I'm I'm not

[49:23] going to take time because I'm on the

[49:25] clock right but but theophus I believe

[49:28] was a wealthy benefactor in the church

[49:31] at

[49:32] Antioch and Luke is writing back to this

[49:36] man theopus you know why because he's

[49:39] helping to fund their missionary journey

[49:42] and he's telling them about what they're

[49:44] he's reporting he's giving a prayer

[49:46] letter the book of Acts is a prayer

[49:48] letter written to theopus right and so

[49:52] you understand you've got to be

[49:55] supported by the local church

[49:57] chur right and so uh um they've got to

[50:01] be the missionaries Paul and Barnabas

[50:03] they've got to be submitted to the local

[50:07] church do you get that the church is the

[50:11] one who fasted and prayed with them the

[50:13] church is the one that laid their hands

[50:15] on them you understand laying hands is a

[50:18] ordination so the local church is the

[50:20] one that ordained them to go out and

[50:22] preach the gospel you know the Bible

[50:25] tells us in Acts chap 14 look look with

[50:49] to the grace of God for the work which

[50:51] they had fulfilled and when they Saul

[50:54] and Barnabas were come and had gathered

[50:56] gaed the church together that's the

[50:58] church at Antioch they Saul and Barnabas

[51:01] rehearsed all that God had done with

[51:05] them and how he had opened the door of

[51:07] Faith unto the Gentiles and there they

[51:10] Abode long time with the disciples when

[51:14] when their first journey was

[51:16] done they came back and

[51:20] reported right you see it right there

[51:23] acts 13 acts 14 right there selection

[51:27] from the church you got to understand

[51:29] some of those things may I say number

[51:31] two their

[51:33] sanctification their sanctification

[51:35] again you want to help missionaries that

[51:37] are going to be called out of your

[51:38] church there selection you got to

[51:41] understand that somebody may come and

[51:43] say hey I think God wants me to go in

[51:44] missions well here's a pattern in Acts

[51:47] chapter 13 are they actively

[51:49] serving are they act actively a part of

[51:52] the Outreach of your local church the

[51:55] second thing is their sanctification

[51:57] a since the missionary is sent out of

[52:00] his local church guess what he's an

[52:02] extension

[52:04] of that local

[52:07] church guess what what means he ought to

[52:10] have I guess that means he ought to hold

[52:12] the same

[52:13] doctrines as his sending church I guess

[52:17] that means he ought to hold to the same

[52:19] standards as his sending church I guess

[52:22] maybe he ought to hold to the same

[52:23] practices that his local church espouses

[52:26] is right right Barnabas and Saul were

[52:30] teachers and prophets in the church at

[52:32] Antioch they already established

[52:34] themselves as leaders in the church that

[52:37] are proven themselves in the church Josh

[52:40] would you come help me asked him if he

[52:42] would help me

[52:43] tonight I'm gonna pick on Josh because I

[52:51] called to go to

[54:47] missionary came to me and graduated

[54:49] college and I said tell me what you've

[54:51] done I ran a bus route and I taught

[55:00] men all right so if he graduates I tell

[55:03] you a men you need to spend five years

[55:06] working for somebody in America as an

[55:09] internship you tell them God's called me

[55:11] to the mission field then you look at

[55:14] them and say give me an empty classroom

[55:17] let me prove to myself and you that I'm

[55:20] worthy of an investment of this church

[55:22] and let me go reach some men

[55:27] you know what that's going to help him

[55:28] do that's going to help him get to the

[55:30] mission field listen to me it's going to

[55:33] help him get to the mission field and

[55:35] not establish a bus route and a junior

[55:38] Church on the mission

[55:39] field we got too many starting

[55:42] Ministries but not establishing

[55:46] churches and we as Americans are pouring

[55:49] money into missions and we're not we're

[55:52] seeing Souls saved but the whole point

[55:55] is to establish another local New

[55:58] Testament Baptist

[56:00] Church but to do that means not only his

[56:04] selection but his sanctification you've

[56:07] got to help him grow so that he has

[56:12] confidence that he can go halfway around

[56:14] the world and reach men because if he

[56:17] can't reach men in his own

[56:20] culture you're not going to go to a

[56:22] different

[56:23] culture and reach men and I tell young

[56:26] man you spent five years you proed to

[56:30] that church that you are a good

[56:34] investment God's got all the money in

[56:36] the

[56:37] world but God is looking for a return on

[56:40] his

[56:41] investment right and so do that people

[56:45] say does that work well I don't know if

[56:47] you go to Mar a Baptist Church in

[56:49] Newberg Indiana I kind of proved it the

[56:52] pastor is a young man that I hired and I

[56:54] put him to work I told him your job jobs

[56:56] to get out knock doors reach adults I

[56:59] told him I got enough money to pay you

[57:00] for three months after that you have

[57:02] better have put people in the Pew to pay

[57:05] for your

[57:07] salary yeah y'all think that's harsh

[57:10] don't

[57:11] you H but it's

[57:14] factual hey that young man now is about

[57:17] to exceed me as far as his length of

[57:20] time pastoring he's about to become the

[57:22] second longest tenur Pastor in the

[57:24] history of that church and I thank God

[57:26] for it he'll surpass me but guess what

[57:30] he's got the confidence to stand up and

[57:33] deal with the men he has to deal with

[57:35] because he proved to himself in the

[57:38] growth of Grace all right thank you Josh

[57:52] him prove that he can do it you you

[58:02] qualifications for a missionary as

[58:04] well right what what is that they got to

[58:07] prove themselves as a person why because

[58:10] the Bible says they need to be blameless

[58:12] vent of good behavior right that's

[58:15] that's one of the qualifications of

[58:17] Pastor be blameless right and so help

[58:19] prove them help them grow as a person uh

[58:22] help them prove them as a partner say a

[58:25] partner I'm not talking about a partner

[58:27] to the church I'm talking about a

[58:28] partner to their

[58:30] spouse one of the qualifications is

[58:33] husband of one

[58:34] wife now now listen you think one at a

[58:37] time all you want to but you go to other

[58:39] parts of the world polygamy is still a

[58:42] thing I happen to think it's one wife

[58:50] he they needs to grow as a partner as a

[58:54] husband and allow the wife life to grow

[58:57] as a wife because again if there's not a

[59:01] strong marriage and you don't help them

[59:09] them with their marriage they're going

[59:11] to be challenged when they go to a

[59:43] you have a TI girlfriend where where'd

[60:27] wife that's an American and a girlfriend

[61:27] as a partner I'm talking about as a

[61:29] spouse because on the foreign field

[61:31] they'll be

[61:32] challenged in those

[61:34] areas but may I say this they need to

[61:37] learn if they have children they need to

[61:39] learn to prove themselves as a

[61:41] parent Bible says in first Timothy one

[61:44] of the qualifications was one that

[61:46] ruleth well his own house you cannot

[61:50] teach others in a different culture

[61:52] about building your family biblically if

[61:55] your family

[61:56] is it

[61:57] biblical right and fellas please

[62:00] understand this if with Ministry or

[62:03] not you have a responsibility to your

[62:06] wife and to your

[62:08] family look you take this however you

[62:15] wife and my children have helped prove

[62:18] and validate what I stand behind the

[62:22] preach the greatest one of the greatest

[62:25] references I ever got was from TJ Kimmel

[62:28] when he wrote in his recommendation

[62:30] letter because he had been on the

[62:32] mission field with my whole family and

[62:35] he says I don't just hear Brother Hall

[62:37] say things he goes I've watched and

[62:39] observed his family be a part of what he

[62:43] has

[62:44] preached yeah

[62:46] validation their

[62:48] selection man I say this they need to

[62:51] prove themselves as a preacher one of

[62:54] the qualifications is that he's given a

[62:56] Hospitality apt to teach patient not an

[64:11] to preaching you've got to preach to

[64:14] preach and it's got to be worked and

[64:17] developed that's where the bus route and

[64:19] Junior church and things that's where

[64:21] having a Sunday school class and all the

[64:24] opportunities hey if you're waiting to

[64:26] preach somewhere where you get a love

[64:29] offering man I cut my teeth preaching at

[64:31] a rescue

[64:33] mission I cut my teeth preaching a

[64:36] nursing

[64:37] home yeah that's why you go to sleep it

[64:41] doesn't bother me one

[64:43] bit why cuz I cut my teeth in areas

[64:46] where people went to sleep on

[64:48] you right you learn to preach to keep

[64:52] them

[64:53] awake right

[64:56] at times I older people goh you preach

[65:12] not only their sanctification number

[65:30] to help them in these areas the first is

[65:32] the attitude that they've got to have

[65:35] attitude that they've got to have toward

[65:37] the support said what do you mean by

[65:39] that God called them God Will

[65:42] Supply where God guides he

[65:45] provides I I preached I preached

[65:49] missions conference when your dad first

[65:51] got there I know my job is a missions

[65:53] conference preach missions conference

[65:55] here my job at a missions conference is

[65:58] to challenge you in the area of Faith

[65:59] promise I preached on giving to my own

[66:03] home church when the service was over

[66:06] Pastor Pearson came out and he goes you

[66:08] helped me tonight I go that's my job the

[66:11] next missionary missionary that

[66:13] presented that night he walked out heard

[66:15] your pastor heard my pastor say that and

[66:18] he goes I could never do what you just

[66:20] did I looked at him I said that's

[66:22] because you have a false sense about

[66:24] what you're you're job is and he looked

[66:27] at me I go you think your job is to

[66:30] raise support no your job is to

[66:32] challenge churches in the area of

[66:34] missions it's God's job to provide your

[66:39] support that's why missionaries come in

[66:43] take this however you want to take it

[66:45] they preach their sugar stick

[66:49] message and it's usually some message

[66:52] about why they would be a good

[66:54] investment

[66:56] or why what they're doing is you should

[66:59] get on board with right and they preach

[67:03] and dance around you giving to them I

[67:07] make no bones about it you know why

[67:09] Jesus talked about giving more than he

[67:11] talked about heaven or

[67:15] hell the truth is the Bible says where

[67:17] your treasure is there will your heart

[67:19] be

[67:22] also and so you got to understand their

[67:25] attitude is not walking into a church

[67:28] saying I'm here to get support no you're

[67:31] there to help keep missions in front of

[67:35] that church and your attitude is is God

[67:38] supplies Hey listen to me you understand

[67:40] the widow woman at

[67:42] zerath Elijah God told Elijah I've

[67:45] commanded a widow woman there God told

[67:48] Elijah to go to the brook cherith and he

[67:50] would be provided there God has

[67:53] commanded the churches that are going to

[67:55] support me to support

[67:58] me I I I don't ever talk about support I

[68:02] go into a church that's God's job is to

[68:05] supply my need my job is to challenge

[68:08] local church in the area of missions

[68:10] that's the attitude that's the attitude

[68:13] guess what young people old people

[68:15] whoever God may call God knows your name

[68:17] he knows your address he knows your

[68:18] social security number he knows your

[68:20] bank account he knows everything there

[68:22] is and he knows what you need and he

[68:25] promis to supply all your

[68:28] need according to according to his

[68:32] riches not out of his riches according

[68:34] to his

[68:36] riches and

[68:37] so if we're always

[68:40] looking to only the churches or the

[68:43] pastors for our support guess what many

[68:46] of missionaries gotten

[68:50] disillusioned well so and so such and

[68:52] such Church they they dropped our

[68:54] support

[68:58] y Hey listen I was fearing it up this

[69:01] afternoon CA because we we've had a a

[69:04] church that that had to drop our support

[69:07] I've been notified by another church

[69:09] that they're probably going to have to

[69:10] reduce our support I was sitting here

[69:12] looking okay here's what our support was

[69:14] and then I took the church out that had

[69:16] already notified me and I was sitting

[69:18] there looking but you know what I hadn't

[69:20] realized was this other Church they

[69:22] increased our support and this other

[69:24] Church they increased their support and

[69:26] I started looking and I told my wife I

[69:27] said you know we actually have more

[69:29] support coming in than what I

[69:32] realized you know why Philippians

[69:36] 4:19 my focus is not oh I got to raise

[69:40] support God calls you that's not your

[69:42] focus your focus is the fact that God

[69:45] will take care of you right and your

[69:47] attitude must be that if God called me

[69:51] and God's guiding me God will provide

[69:55] so what about the

[69:57] amount what about the

[69:59] amount

[70:01] listen listen Common Sense tells you

[70:04] that a family of two can live on less

[70:06] than a family of

[70:08] five listen to me you you got to

[70:11] understand somebody going to London

[70:13] England is going to have to raise a lot

[70:15] support somebody going to a third world

[70:18] country believe it or not well I had a a

[70:22] missionary I know shared on social media

[70:25] all these if you retire you can live in

[70:27] these countries on this amount I want be

[70:30] like yeah if you're a

[70:32] national you're a

[70:34] national listen to me very carefully

[70:37] your missionary that's called out of

[70:38] your church if he's married he's got

[70:40] kids you know the first thing he needs

[70:42] to stop and think

[70:44] about what does my family need for

[70:47] Safety and

[70:49] Security how much is that going to

[70:52] cost because if your wife and your

[70:54] children children cannot lay their head

[70:57] on a pillow at night and feel like they

[70:59] can close their eyes and go to sleep in

[71:01] Safety and Security you will not stay on

[71:04] that field

[71:05] long the more every every year now at

[71:08] Easter I go to Nigeria you saw we've

[71:10] helped with some projects there Hey

[71:12] listen when I go there that's what I

[71:15] want to know is there a guard out in the

[71:16] guard shack did the gate get locked is

[71:20] the front door locked because I'm going

[71:22] to sleep and I want to be able to get a

[71:24] good night sleep as best you can in

[71:29] Nigeria but I want to know now I lay me

[71:31] down to

[71:33] sleep I'm not going I pray the Lord my

[71:35] soul to keep I'm going no Lord I'll go

[71:38] whenever you want me to but I really

[71:40] hope it's not

[71:52] think about perseverance over production

[72:09] third world country you need a generator

[72:23] refrigerator's gone out your deep

[72:26] freezer's gone

[72:28] out you don't want to eat rotten

[72:32] meat and you're not going to sustain

[72:35] your family without taking care of them

[72:39] so there are some that say that two can

[72:42] live as cheap as

[72:44] one two don't five two don't live as or

[72:47] two can live cheaper than five and

[72:49] somebody said yeah two can live as cheap

[72:51] as one and I told him I said yeah that's

[72:53] if one will go hungry and the other will

[72:54] go naked

[72:59] now listen I don't want to go hungry and

[73:02] I don't want my wife going

[73:11] is the amount that they're going to need

[73:13] to raise is going to depend on their

[73:17] doesn't take as much for the two of us

[73:23] their family it's going to depend on on

[73:25] the standard of society that they're

[73:27] going to right this the safety and the

[73:31] security of their wife and their family

[73:32] and the standard of the society they're

[73:43] me you like indoor

[73:46] plumbing yeah you like air

[73:50] conditioning yeah in my video you didn't

[73:53] see one Grass Hut and one dirt floor

[73:56] you're not going

[73:59] roughest place that I will stay is

[74:05] Place yeah and the only right the only

[74:08] reason why we stay at Diamond Place

[74:13] bed I put my own electric hot water

[75:23] thinking about that you know why cuz

[75:25] your house has indoor plumbing your

[75:26] house has air conditioning I would dare

[75:29] say you probably have a washer and

[75:32] dryer tan and Pim were so

[75:35] excited missionaries that left the field

[75:38] and they bought a washer from the

[75:42] missionaries and the missionary wife had

[75:44] a

[75:46] dryer that is unheard

[75:49] of but Pim got used to having that dryer

[75:53] being able to use it so when they were

[75:55] going to sell it she looked at tan and

[75:56] she goes um I want to wash her and dry

[75:59] her and I looked at tan I go you

[76:02] remember what I taught you he said happy

[76:04] wife happy life I said yep

[76:08] absolutely well if mama ain't

[76:11] happy ain't nobody happy right so when

[76:15] it comes to their support listen to me

[76:18] Creature Comforts matter Creature

[76:20] Comforts matter and they are to be

[76:23] considered Paul and Barnabas spent 10

[76:26] months to two years on their first

[76:27] missionary journey and I don't find they

[76:29] did any tent making during that Journey

[76:32] you know what that meant that meant they

[76:34] were supported enough to live and work

[76:36] full-time and getting the gospel out and

[76:39] that's what you want somebody sent out

[76:41] to be supported enough to do and you as

[76:44] a church have a responsibility to help

[76:46] them do so I'm very thankful for my

[76:49] sending Church they support us far more

[76:53] than they support the average missionary

[76:56] you know why it makes a statement we

[76:59] believe in you we're behind you and that

[77:03] makes a statement to other churches when

[77:05] they ask about your

[77:07] support because I've been asked what

[77:09] your sending Church to and I tell them

[77:11] what my sending Church does and they go

[77:13] wow I go yep they believe in what we're

[77:17] doing the old Dage put your money where

[77:20] your mouth

[77:21] is especially when it's one of yours

[77:25] their selection their sanctification

[77:28] their support again it's a great honor

[77:30] to have somebody sent out of your church

[77:33] but it's a great

[77:36] responsibility consider those things and

[77:38] the day comes God calls somebody out of

[77:41] your church heavenly

[77:45] father I pray that you'd help

[77:50] us Lord the older I get you know my

[77:54] heart

[77:56] Lord just even our own church this last

[77:58] week our missions conference to see so

[78:01] many young people and Lord I understand

[78:04] the heart's desire to get to the mission

[78:07] field Lord there is a process to so many

[78:10] things in

[78:12] life Lord there's times that I I grow

[78:16] weary or just as someone that invests in

[78:20] missions of us not being good stewards

[78:24] Lord in our selection of

[78:27] missionaries Lord the vetting process

[78:30] then Lord the the growing process of

[78:33] them growing to the point to be
