[0:00] It's not
[0:01] >> on World News Tonight. A million
[0:03] Americans looking for new homes in the
[0:06] aftermath of Katrina.
[0:08] >> It's as if my house is burned. I mean, I
[0:10] have to start over.
[0:11] >> It is a migration of mammoth proportion,
[0:14] and people don't know where they're
[0:15] being sent. The president and the
[0:18] Congress both vow to investigate the
[0:20] federal government's response to the
[0:22] disaster. Tonight, a closer look at who
[0:24] had the primary responsibility to save
[0:27] lives. And in New Orleans, the health
[0:30] concerns are growing, the fires are
[0:33] spreading, but the waters are receding.
[0:38] >> From ABC News, this is World News

[1:03] in Congress say it's going to cost $150
[1:06] billion before it's all over. And then
[1:09] there is the human cost. Those that have
[1:12] left New Orleans and other cities are
[1:14] being relocated. And with approximately
[1:16] a million evacuees, the logistical
[1:18] problems are overwhelming. States are
[1:21] stepping up. California, Colorado, for
[1:23] example, they've said they'll take a
[1:25] thousand evacuees each. Texas of course
[1:27] the most 230,000
[1:30] and then there is Arkansas with 60,000
[1:33] and Tennessee has stepped forward to say
[1:36] they will take 13,000. 30 states in all
[1:39] are accepting evacuees but many when
[1:42] they get on planes don't know where
[1:44] they're going. So AB
