[1:11] Baptist church today if you would stand

[1:13] with us for our scripture reading this

[1:14] morning we're going to be in the Book of

[1:16] Psalms chapter 145 verses

[1:21] 1-4 Psalm 145 verses 1 through 4 and you

[1:26] follow along with me read it out loud

[1:28] with me from Psalm 145:

[1:32] 1-4 I will extol thee my god oh King and

[1:38] I will bless thy name Forever and Ever

[1:43] every day will I bless thee and I will

[1:47] praise thy name forever and ever great

[1:52] is the Lord and greatly to be praised

[1:57] and his greatness is unsearchable

[2:00] one generation shall praise thy Works to

[2:04] another and shall declare thy Mighty

[2:08] acts he's great he's worthy to be

[2:12] praised and today we ought to take time

[2:14] to do that but I like verse four we

[2:17] included it this morning because it says

[2:19] that we're going to do it one generation

[2:22] shall

[2:23] praise thy Works to another so we ought

[2:27] to tell multiple Generations about how

[2:29] great God is so let's do that today all

[2:32] right let's go Lord in prayer this

[2:33] morning heavly Father Lord we're

[2:35] thankful for the opportunity to be in

[2:36] your house today Lord we know that you

[2:39] are a great God and Lord we pray today

[2:42] that everything that's said and done

[2:44] will show forth the greatness of you

[2:48] Lord we're going to extol our praise to

[2:50] you today we're going to worship you

[2:53] we're going to sing from our hearts unto

[2:55] you we're going to listen to the

[2:57] messages of the songs that we sing and

[3:00] the songs that are sung and apply the

[3:03] word of God to our heart today we're

[3:06] going to Fellowship today rejoicing in

[3:08] you in your name I pray amen you may be

[14:42] things we ought never to get over is

[14:44] that we've been saved by the blood of

[14:46] the Lamb that cleanses us from how much

[14:49] sin all sin so listen to the words of

[14:52] this song this morning and I pray it'll

[14:55] be a blessing and a help to your life

[15:53] through the blood when God looks at me

[19:02] last week we talked about Mary and

[19:04] Martha and we talked about one thing

[19:07] being needful and that's to stop and sit

[19:10] at Jesus feet so the last time Jesus was

[19:13] at Martha and Mary's house Mary was

[19:16] sitting at his feet listening to his

[19:18] word and Martha was cumbered about with

[19:22] much serving we'll fast forward a few

[19:24] years and we find them back at Mary and

[19:27] Martha's house again

[19:30] this time's a little bit different than

[19:31] the last time but I think it could be a

[19:34] help to us this morning so you have your

[19:36] Bibles turn to John chapter number 12

[19:38] this morning John chapter number

[19:42] 12 and stand if you're able we're going

[19:44] to read the first 11 verses of John

[19:47] chapter number 12 excited for what God

[19:50] has in store for us

[19:53] today John chapter number

[19:57] 12 verse number one then Jesus six days

[20:01] before the Passover came to Bethany

[20:04] where Lazarus was which had been dead

[20:08] whom he raised from the dead there they

[20:11] made him a supper and Martha served but

[20:15] Lazarus was one of them that sat at the

[20:17] table with him then took Mary a pound of

[20:20] ointment of Spiker very costly and

[20:23] anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped his

[20:26] feet with her hair the house was filled

[20:30] with the odor of the ointment then saith

[20:33] one of his disciples judias the scariot

[20:35] Simon's son which should betray him why

[20:39] was not this ointment sold for 300 Pence

[20:41] and given to the poor this he said not

[20:45] that he cared for the poor but because

[20:48] he was a thief and had the bag and bear

[20:51] what was put in there and then said

[20:54] Jesus let her alone against the day of

[20:58] my bear caring hath she kept this for

[21:01] the poor always ye have with you but me

[21:04] ye have not always much people of the

[21:08] Jews therefore knew that he was there

[21:11] they came not for Jesus sake only but

[21:14] that they might see Lazarus also whom he

[21:17] raised from the dead but the chief

[21:20] priests consulted that they might put

[21:22] Lazarus also to death because that by

[21:27] reason of him

[21:29] many of the Jews went away and believed

[21:32] on Jesus we're going to look at five

[21:36] characters in our story today our

[21:38] pastors is going to look at five

[21:39] different characters and make some

[21:41] application at the end but today Jesus

[21:46] is the

[21:48] focus he ought to be the

[21:52] focus in every

[21:54] account in every Church Jesus ought to

[21:58] be

[21:59] the focus so let's go Lord in prayer

[22:01] today de Heavenly Father Lord I Thank

[22:02] you for the opportunity to preach your

[22:03] word today Lord I pray if you would

[22:05] please cleanse me of sin and empty me of

[22:07] myself that I might get out of the way

[22:09] this morning and your word may go forth

[22:11] Lord I pray that you'd speak to our

[22:12] hearts today challenge us from your word

[22:15] Lord help us to pause and consider you

[22:18] to be doers of the word and not just

[22:20] hearers help us to respond as you'd want

[22:24] us to in your name I pray amen thank you

[22:26] for standing you may be

[22:29] seated Jesus here he's 6 days before the

[22:33] Passover which means it's the Friday

[22:37] Saturday on our

[22:39] calendar Friday night going into

[22:41] Saturday morning on our calendar of

[22:44] where he's at in Bethany in the last

[22:46] week of his life he's staying in Bethany

[22:48] traveling into Jerusalem during the

[22:50] Passover time many of them would come

[22:53] many Jewish people would come from other

[22:55] regions to the city of Jerusalem for the

[22:58] past pass over and so that was happening

[23:00] middle of the week the next week and so

[23:02] Jesus is there he's there at the pass

[23:05] coming to be at the Passover but they've

[23:07] put out that they want to arrest him and

[23:09] put him to death and so he's been coming

[23:12] into Jerusalem and then leaving coming

[23:14] into Jerusalem and then leaving and so

[23:16] he's been staying in Bethany we find him

[23:19] here over the next few days coming out

[23:21] of Bethany into Jerusalem we find him um

[23:24] the fig tree that he curses we find him

[23:27] at Simon the lepers house later on and

[23:29] so there's these passage time markers

[23:32] that we see in the life of Jesus Christ

[23:34] so six days before the Passover he came

[23:37] to Bethany where Lazarus was now in John

[23:40] chap 11 we find the passage of Jesus

[23:43] arriving you know what others thought

[23:45] was four days late but he was right on

[23:48] time and he illustrates the

[23:51] Resurrection the power that he has over

[23:54] life and death and the resurrection he

[23:57] raises Lazarus from the dead and the

[23:59] shortest verse in scripture John 11:35

[24:02] Jesus wept and he Sorrows over that and

[24:05] then he resurrects them and Martha

[24:07] understands that Jesus is the

[24:09] resurrection of the life they knew that

[24:11] they one day going to be resurrected but

[24:13] now they got to see it with their own

[24:15] eyes now if we can put ourselves in the

[24:17] in the text and consider that um if

[24:19] Lazarus was dead the previous chapter

[24:21] and now he's alive um there's probably a

[24:23] news conference going on you know he's

[24:26] on multiple talk shows

[24:28] you know come on in our day today

[24:31] there'd be a lot of noise about this guy

[24:33] who was dead now he's

[24:35] alive that's what happens in our passage

[24:38] Lazarus was dead and now he's alive and

[24:40] people are coming not for jesus' sake

[24:42] only but also for for

[24:45] Lazarus so Jesus is there verse two

[24:49] there they made him a

[24:53] supper CU he had to eat he was human he

[24:57] was hungry and so he had to eat so our

[25:00] first character we want to look at today

[25:01] is Jesus he's six days before uh the

[25:04] Passover and they they've made him a

[25:06] supper and he's the focal

[25:09] point he's what this night's all

[25:12] about Martha made him a supper Martha

[25:16] just didn't make supper she made it with

[25:18] him in mind and so it's for him and he's

[25:22] in their house and it's noise that Jesus

[25:25] was in their house and people came

[25:27] because he was there and the ministry

[25:29] work of Jesus is the working of people

[25:32] and that's he so he's the focal point of

[25:35] of this event and we find here that as

[25:38] he's the focal point and he's getting

[25:40] ready to go to the cross and getting

[25:42] ready to become the propitiation for our

[25:44] sins we find here they've made him a

[25:47] supper our second character we saw her

[25:50] last week her name's Martha and last

[25:53] week Martha was cumbered about with much

[25:56] serving let's see what she's doing doing

[25:58] this week there made him a supper and

[26:01] Martha

[26:02] served but she's not

[26:05] complaining last week she was

[26:07] complaining remember she was pretty bold

[26:08] last week last week she said Lord Dost

[26:11] thou not care remember last week don't

[26:14] make it if you say amen I won't go back

[26:16] and repr preach it you remember last

[26:17] week all right that's a little bit

[26:19] better and so she said Lord Dost thou

[26:21] not care and they were she was concerned

[26:24] and she asked the Lord to take action

[26:26] for her feelings

[26:28] that's pretty bold she said' don't you

[26:30] care tell her she told the Lord what to

[26:35] do and then this week she's just

[26:39] serving she's just

[26:41] serving just serving the

[26:44] lord so Martha is just serving this week

[26:47] she's not cumbered about this week she's

[26:49] serving for the

[26:51] Lord last week she's serving for

[26:54] her this week she's serving for the Lord

[26:59] there's the third character in our

[27:01] account we're going to spend some time

[27:03] with her verse three then took Mary

[27:07] pound of ointment of spikenard very

[27:10] costly and anointed the feet of Jesus

[27:13] wiped his feet with her hair the house

[27:16] was filled with the odor of the

[27:19] ointment so first we saw Jesus he's the

[27:22] focal point then we see Martha the

[27:26] server now we find

[27:29] Mary Mary is the

[27:31] worshiper we could have said Martha the

[27:33] server Martha the

[27:35] worker Mary's the

[27:38] worshipper where's she at again she's at

[27:40] his feet where was she last time we saw

[27:43] her last week she was at his feet last

[27:45] week she was at his feet listening to

[27:47] his words she made a choice he said this

[27:50] one thing is needful Mary hath chosen it

[27:53] last week she made a choice to sit at

[27:54] jesus' feet and hear his word this time

[27:56] she makes a choice to sit at his feet

[27:58] and worship

[28:00] him it's

[28:02] different because it's different just

[28:05] reading the word than it is being a

[28:08] worshipper of the

[28:10] Lord so Mary's at his

[28:14] feet and she takes

[28:17] nerd and anoints his

[28:22] feet and then wiped his feet with her

[28:27] hair

[28:29] so she's got this moment she's sitting

[28:32] at jesus'

[28:34] feet now we're going to look at the

[28:36] wicked guy Judas here in just a

[28:40] minute but notice what Jesus said about

[28:45] her verse seven then said Jesus let her

[28:49] alone against the day of my burying ha

[28:53] she kept

[28:55] this the nerd was very C

[28:58] Judas put a price tag on it 300 P that's

[29:01] a lot of money in our day and

[29:05] time put a price tag on

[29:08] it but

[29:10] she's she had it for the day of his

[29:15] burying but if you've read the the

[29:18] gospel

[29:20] accounts Mary and Martha are not there

[29:24] on the day of his burying Mary and

[29:27] Martha are not listed as those that are

[29:30] at the crucifixion of Jesus

[29:33] Christ they're not there they're not in

[29:36] the

[29:38] listing it there's a generic a general

[29:41] term that says there are other women

[29:43] there of Galilee but they're from

[29:44] Bethany that's a different

[29:47] region so they're not there I wonder

[29:51] why could it be that something happened

[29:53] in their life that made it evident to

[29:56] them that Jesus Jesus is the

[29:59] resurrection and the

[30:02] life now nerd was an anointing oil

[30:06] for uh funerals and so when someone died

[30:10] they'd come and they'd anoint their body

[30:11] with perfumes and part of their

[30:14] Customs Jesus isn't

[30:23] dead he didn't say she kept it for his

[30:28] burial she was keeping it for the

[30:33] day but then she

[30:36] recognized he's not going to stay

[30:40] dead so why wait to give it to

[30:44] him when I could give it to him

[30:49] now so she gives anoints jesus' feet in

[30:54] a humble

[30:56] act anoints his

[30:58] feet it's a sign of humility it wasn't

[31:02] was she didn't come into the room and

[31:04] say everybody looking

[31:07] me watch what I'm about to

[31:11] do because it wasn't about

[31:14] Mary it was about him so she's at his

[31:19] feet what oh it's going to get good and

[31:22] good her hang on she's at his

[31:25] feet she anoints his feet

[31:28] she wipes his feet with her

[31:32] hair and while this is

[31:36] happening Jesus does not call her out

[31:39] Jesus does not speak about what she's

[31:41] doing it's not until

[31:45] judas's

[31:46] condemnation and criticism till Jesus

[31:50] speaks about what she's

[31:54] doing but when she gets done

[31:58] anointing Jesus's

[32:00] feet wiping his feet with her

[32:04] hair I want you to look at verse number

[32:09] three the

[32:11] house was

[32:14] filled with the odor of the

[32:19] ointment Mary's act of

[32:24] worship had an outpouring

[32:28] on the others in the

[32:31] room the others in the room smelled the

[32:36] aroma of her act of

[32:42] worship others in the room were

[32:46] affected by her act of

[32:52] worship her intent was not to affect

[32:56] others by her act of worship

[32:59] it was to worship

[33:03] him so Mary worships the

[33:08] Lord anoints his feet it's

[33:13] costly she put some cost there was a the

[33:19] ointment cost money it was

[33:22] precious it had a

[33:25] purpose but she was willing to give it

[33:27] all to

[33:32] Jesus

[33:34] now I've been married to my first wife

[33:37] for 20

[33:38] years and my only

[33:42] wife I just seen if you're were

[33:47] awake there have been times in our

[33:51] life where she has said to me don't mess

[33:54] up my

[33:56] hair she has has told her sons don't

[33:59] touch my

[34:02] hair don't she's put time and effort

[34:06] into that don't mess it

[34:09] up little boys they don't always pay

[34:12] attention to

[34:13] that what it

[34:16] happens but here's

[34:18] Mary taking her

[34:21] hair and anointing and wiping the ano

[34:25] off Jesus feet with her hair

[34:28] some women won't let people touch their

[34:30] hair let alone use their hair to wipe up

[34:32] somebody's

[34:35] feet but it's a humbling act from Mary

[34:39] because of who the focal point is it's

[34:44] Jesus and in that moment of

[34:48] worship here comes Mr

[34:51] critical he's the fourth character we

[34:54] see judas's scariot we call him the

[34:57] Wicked one Bible calls him the son of

[35:01] predition he's the wicked

[35:03] one he puts a

[35:06] price on what he thought should be

[35:10] done he he complains about it being sold

[35:14] in other words in judas's mind Jesus

[35:17] isn't worth

[35:21] that come on that's what he's

[35:25] saying I want it in my purse so I can

[35:30] take from

[35:33] it Jesus isn't worth

[35:37] that don't don't waste it on

[35:43] him when I could do something with

[35:50] it the wicked one pretty wicked

[35:53] statement wouldn't you agree pretty

[35:56] wicked

[35:59] then there's a fifth

[36:01] character

[36:04] Lazarus I call Lazarus the living

[36:08] illustration of Jesus

[36:11] power of

[36:14] Resurrection I guess we could say it

[36:16] this way Lazarus is living the

[36:17] resurrected

[36:21] life and people have come Not Just to

[36:24] See Jesus but also to see Lazarus and

[36:26] he's sitting at the table

[36:29] Lazarus

[36:30] recognizes that he's only at the table

[36:33] because of Jesus Lazarus recognizes he

[36:36] should be sitting at the table to point

[36:38] people to

[36:40] Jesus Lazarus didn't go set up his own

[36:43] table so people can all right come on in

[36:46] you want to see Lazarus or you want to

[36:47] see

[36:48] Jesus which one you want to see no he's

[36:50] sitting next to Jesus because he knows

[36:52] the only reason he's living is because

[36:53] of Jesus the only reason he's breathing

[36:56] is because of Jesus he's a living

[36:59] illustration and his illustration is

[37:01] affecting

[37:02] people he's affecting people by being

[37:06] alive because of Jesus because he's

[37:09] alive because of Jesus it's affecting

[37:11] people in fact in our text it says that

[37:13] much people of the Jews therefore verse

[37:16] n knew that he was there they came not

[37:18] only for Jesus sake but they also might

[37:20] Lazarus also whom he raised from the

[37:21] dead verse 10 but the chief priests

[37:24] consulted that they might put Lazarus to

[37:26] death

[37:29] wow how much they hate

[37:31] Jesus they're willing to kill somebody

[37:33] else for why because well there's that

[37:36] because word that by reason of him many

[37:39] of the Jews went away and believed on

[37:43] Jesus not on Lazarus but on

[37:48] Jesus so he's a living illustration of

[37:51] the resurrected life and it'll affect

[37:53] people if you live a life being alive

[37:56] for Jesus

[38:00] the five different characters in our

[38:05] story four of

[38:08] them could be you

[38:13] today oh none of us are

[38:16] Jesus none of us are that important none

[38:20] of us are that powerful none of us are

[38:21] that big none of us are

[38:23] Jesus so every church has the other four

[38:29] groups every church has the other four

[38:31] groups so let's look at group number

[38:34] one it's the Martha

[38:36] group every church has workers and

[38:41] servants every church has workers and

[38:43] servants and every church needs workers

[38:45] and

[38:47] servants and every church has workers

[38:49] and servants that can be Martha on John

[38:51] 12 days and Martha on the other

[38:56] days because because we're people we can

[38:59] be workers and servers that are doing it

[39:00] for him or we can be workers and servers

[39:03] doing it because we want Jesus to

[39:04] recognize don't you see what I'm

[39:09] doing now the heart that's right is the

[39:12] one that's doing it for the Lord not the

[39:14] one that's doing it Jesus look at me

[39:17] that's not why we do

[39:19] it but every church as

[39:23] workers and

[39:25] servers every Church needs

[39:31] worshippers now that's different than

[39:35] attending that's different than being a

[40:40] those two don't go

[40:42] together praise God ought to be praised

[40:46] amen he ought to be glorified he ought

[40:49] exalted but worship is also required of

[40:54] Lord and it's a humbling of us and

[40:59] elevating of

[41:04] him there's multiple

[41:07] ways to Worship the

[41:12] Lord We Worship the

[41:14] Lord in our faithfulness to him We

[41:18] Worship the Lord in our humility to him

[41:23] We Worship the

[41:25] Lord through doing

[41:27] what he says as an act of worship to

[41:33] him because we do it for him it's not

[41:37] about us it's about him but I promise

[41:41] you church if you'll get a heart for

[41:42] worshiping the Lord it'll affect others

[41:45] around

[41:46] you just like Mary did here the aroma

[41:50] will fill the

[41:52] place and others will

[41:55] see what you you are doing to elevate

[41:59] the

[42:01] Lord but don't do it so others will see

[42:04] you do it to elevate

[42:10] worship Mary worships the Lord no matter

[42:16] cost you know when it's hard to Worship

[42:19] the Lord when you have it s at his feet

[42:27] when you haven't sat at his feet and

[42:29] listened to his word it's very difficult

[42:35] Lord if you haven't stopped and heard

[42:44] lord it's very difficult to worship

[42:49] him every church needs workers and

[42:54] servants there's a danger in serving is

[42:57] that you can be Martha on bad days said

[44:23] churches there are workers

[47:28] I wonder which one the Lord says is

[47:30] better I wonder which one the Lord would

[47:33] say oh wait you care about the ministry

[47:37] of the local church well we talked about

[47:39] it Wednesday that's kind of God's plan

[47:41] for how everything gets done it's

[47:44] through the work of the local church and

[47:46] God needs the the money that is needed

[47:49] in a local church watch this is in a

[47:51] local

[47:54] church it just doesn't get in the

[47:56] offering plate

[47:59] say preacher you're preaching about

[48:00] money no I'm preaching about the

[48:02] Lord I want you to think about it you

[48:04] got you got to look at it

[48:06] differently it's not dollars and cents

[48:09] it's obedience and faithfulness to the

[48:12] Lord that's what it's about it's not

[48:15] it's not the how many dollars I put in

[48:17] it's about being faithful to doing God's

[48:19] work and God's work requires money to

[48:22] make it happen to be able to evangelize

[48:24] the loss and save souls and to the

[48:27] ministry work of the ministry it takes

[48:28] God's people saying God what could you

[48:31] do with my little bit and he'd say oh I

[48:34] can do a lot with the little bit I gave

[48:36] you we sing the song Little is much when

[48:39] God is in it well it's only this amount

[48:42] of money it's not about the money I am

[48:44] not looking for people to give a million

[48:46] dollars to the church I looking for

[48:49] people to be faithful and obedient to

[48:53] God that's what it's about we don't need

[48:57] thousands and thousands of dollars we

[49:00] need faithful obedient church

[49:02] members who have a heart to say God what

[49:06] could I

[49:07] do because it's his church it's his

[49:10] local church he's the chief Shepherd

[49:13] it's his church and so every dollar that

[49:15] comes in it's under the administration

[49:17] of the Lord to do what he would have to

[49:20] do but we can get Wicked ones real quick

[49:22] and say I don't think it's worth

[49:24] that or I I could do more with it than

[49:27] God

[51:10] you want to serve the Lord in leadership

[51:11] a Bible bapor Church you want to be

[51:13] involved and being used by God in a

[51:15] greater capacity I asked this question

[51:17] to our treasure are they faithful in

[51:18] their giving that's the only question I

[51:19] ask and he gives a yes or no answer

[51:21] that's the only question I

[51:23] asked but it does concern me when he

[51:25] comes back no

[51:27] because now I got to pray Lord what

[51:28] would you have me to

[51:33] do the answer is pray for obedience pray

[51:45] first and then make your budget

[51:48] after there may be some weeks that you

[51:54] noodles and then God will bless you with

[51:56] a new job

[51:58] or something else or God will provide or

[52:00] you'll go to the store and everything on

[52:01] your grocery list will be on sale that

[52:03] week you're like wow I got all my I I

[52:06] still got cash left

[52:07] over what a coincidence that's the Lord

[52:13] on but we can get in that mindset of

[52:16] being like

[52:18] Judas oh we can get like Judas oh that

[52:21] bus Ministry it costs too much do you

[52:23] know the price of fuel yeah what about

[52:25] those kids that are getting

[52:27] saved what about those lives that are

[52:30] changed oh you know those those young

[52:33] adults I mean we spend all that money to

[52:35] help them well what if they got

[52:38] helped what if that young married

[52:40] couple's marriage was literally getting

[52:42] ready to break apart and then they found

[52:44] a church that loved on them and helped

[52:46] them and had a class for all of a sudden

[52:47] it's back together and they're stronger

[52:49] than they ever were

[52:51] before guess it was worth the the cost

[52:57] cost it is not it's the blessing of

[53:00] giving to the

[53:02] Lord what about this or what about

[53:05] that it it takes money to operate

[53:09] yes but it's God's house God's Church

[53:13] pockets of the people that need to put

[53:14] it in the offering plate we just got to

[53:16] be faithful and

[53:18] obedient but we could be a wicked one in

[53:20] the valuate Ministries we could be a

[53:21] wicked one who says I don't think it's

[53:23] worth that they make too much of a deal

[53:25] about that they're too that's too big of

[53:27] a deal we shouldn't do

[53:30] that what Spirit are you operating in

[54:08] missions giving or my tithe i' I'd have

[54:15] saying God's money would be better spent

[54:24] him oh that hurt

[54:31] that to make you angry I'm trying to

[54:37] eyes Jesus is the focal

[56:28] today a lot of people struggle with

[56:31] repentance because there's too much

[56:33] pleasure in their

[56:35] sin the reality is for many people they

[56:39] love their sin more than they love

[56:44] Jesus therefore they don't get right

[56:46] they don't repent because they love

[56:48] their sin more than they love

[56:49] Jesus but the goodness of God is what

[56:52] leads us to

[56:54] repentance our love for him

[56:56] and want to restore that relationship

[56:58] with him ought to drive us to

[57:01] repent it ought to motivate us the Bible

[57:03] talked about it to be

[57:06] zealous zealous for repentance energy

[57:09] run to Jesus don't just casually

[57:16] walk now I promise you we could see a

[57:19] lot of interesting things today

[57:23] if I let all the mamas of the

[57:25] preschoolers

[57:26] out in front of the church and then I

[57:30] put a big candy bag across the street I

[57:34] said all right you ladies just watch I'm

[57:38] GNA let your preschooler run across the

[57:40] road and get to the candy on the other

[57:43] side how many of you think The Mamas are

[57:46] just going to

[57:48] watch no if there's any traffic at all

[57:53] they're going to activate something

[57:55] inside of them

[57:56] that's going to cause them to zealously

[57:59] run after that preschooler scoop them up

[58:02] and say you're not going in the

[58:06] road even though they haven't run all

[58:10] week something inside them motivates

[58:14] them to because their relationship with

[58:18] that child they're motivated run after

[58:20] them rescue

[58:21] them I don't want any harm to come to

[58:24] them and just as much excitement and

[58:28] zealousness and energy would be involved

[58:30] in a mother chasing after her

[58:32] preschoolers getting ready to run into

[58:33] the road ought to be the same motivation

[58:35] for God's children when they sin to run

[58:38] as fast as they can to the father and

[58:40] get right they ought to zealously take

[58:43] off like it's a life or death situation

[58:45] my relationship with the Lord is on the

[58:47] line I got to get right I can't stay in

[58:50] this sin I got to be motivated to get

[58:52] right I love him too much to stay in my

[58:55] sin I I love him too much to stay in my

[58:57] complaining I love him too much to stay

[59:00] in my criticism of God I love him too

[59:02] much to stop serving

[61:34] Christians in general we're not

[61:35] worshiping like we should we're not

[61:37] serving like we should and we're not

[61:40] living the resurrected life like we

[61:42] should but the good news is we can

[61:44] repent of all those things and run back

[61:46] to Jesus and get our heart

[61:49] right he's waiting with open arms saying

[61:52] come back come back and the iCal son

[61:56] when he came home he was expecting one

[61:59] thing and he got

[62:00] another what he expected from his father

[62:03] was not what he experienced and it's the

[62:06] same when you run back to Jesus you may

[62:08] be expecting a downward look and some

[62:11] condemnation but that's not what he's

[62:13] got for you he's got Open Arms to bring

[62:15] you back to restore you right to get you

[62:18] back on your feet because conviction is

[62:21] different than condemnation conviction

[62:23] brings restoration to a relationship

[62:26] condemnation brings destruction to a

[62:28] relationship and those that are saved

[62:30] there is therefore now no condemnation

[62:33] Jesus he doesn't condemn you he convicts
