[0:46] foods not approved for human consumption
[0:50] getting to your dinner table anyway the
[0:52] US government confirmed today it is
[0:54] investigating whether and if so how Gan
[0:57] altered corn may have turned up in Taco
[1:00] Bell brand Craft Company distributed
[1:03] taco shells important to note as best we
[1:06] can make out these are taco shells sold
[1:09] in supermarkets not in Taco Bell
[1:12] restaurants cbs's Wyatt Andrews has been
[1:14] investigating this story for days and
[1:16] has
[1:18] details the charge is that Taco Bell
[1:21] taco shells sold in grocery stores
[1:24] contain a gene altered corn specifically
[1:27] banned from food because of the risk of
[1:29] allergies in people while there are no
[1:31] known reports of injury this finding by
[1:34] a coalition of environmental groups is
[1:36] the most serious evidence so far of the
[1:39] potential danger in some Gene altered
[1:41] food this is a potential allergen that
[1:44] is illegally on the market the groups
[1:47] are demanding a recall we're saying that
[1:50] the FDA should exercise their Authority
