[0:11] uh has a few short moments of uh shock
[0:15] if you will where whatever happens you
[0:18] it takes time to sink in and to react to
[0:21] and uh normally you're so involved with
[0:24] trying to rectify whatever situation you
[0:26] find yourself in that you really don't
[0:29] don't too much think about the
[0:30] consequences at the time it's normally
[0:32] after the fact that you get to sit down
[0:34] and really think about what did
[0:37] happen you end up trembling
[0:40] afterward particularly if you've broken
[0:43] something and you have to go face the
[0:46] boss that was uh astronaut lunar module
[0:49] pilot Fred Hayes who even now is in the
[0:52] Aquarius lunar module with both vehicles
[0:55] docked let's see if we can get that
[0:57] lined up right we really ought to know
[0:59] how to do this kind of better after all
[1:00] these years both vehicles are docked at
[1:04] a position some
[1:05] 214,000 mi from Earth about 26,000 mi
[1:09] from the Moon from the lunar Landing
[1:11] that should have been their target if
[1:13] all had gone well and a few moments from
[1:15] now about 10 or 15 minutes from now if
[1:17] we calculate correctly they'll do a
[1:19] small burn of this engine The Descent
[1:22] propulsion system engine of the LM since
[1:25] they can't use this engine the service
[1:28] propulsion system engine of the command
[1:30] module it has no electrical power
[1:31] they'll do a small burn of this engine
[1:35] the SPs engine is disabled as it were a
[1:37] 16t per second burn that will round out
[1:40] their orbit instead of their looping
[1:42] High out far away from the Moon perhaps
[1:46] never to make it back that burn is
[1:48] intended to put them into a free return
[1:50] trajectory a burn of some 60
