[10:41] pastor I'm sick not everybody or I had

[10:43] other thing happen with another family

[10:45] they weren't able to be here tonight so

[10:47] some of them got out of it for tonight

[10:49] but I told them if the Lord's working on

[10:52] your heart you want to give a testimony

[10:53] on Sunday night I'll still let you so uh

[10:56] but if there's any ladies who went to

[10:57] the ladies Retreat I want to give a test

[10:59] testimony tonight over here miss Tabitha

[11:02] we'll come to you so you don't have to

[11:03] come to

[11:13] um I really enjoyed the ladies Retreat I

[11:15] wanted to thank Pastor for letting us

[11:17] take his vehicle and for Mrs Pearson

[11:20] driving us I had a lot of fun just

[11:22] riding with the ladies uh there and back

[11:25] we talked the whole time so that was

[11:27] really fun um the the campground Church

[11:30] ground was really nice we got to stay in

[11:32] the dorms and they were all air

[11:33] conditioned so that was lovely um but

[11:37] the retreat itself was a blessing um

[11:41] there were four

[11:42] sessions um and the two that stick out

[11:45] to me was the very first one and the

[11:47] very last one um Mrs Gadis was talking

[11:50] about well the theme was knowing god and

[11:54] the verse um that I may know him and the

[11:57] power of his resurrection and

[11:59] um I guess what stuck out of me was the

[12:02] fact that and I hear it all the time but

[12:04] God wants us to not be T to to be

[12:08] vulnerable with him and not to have any

[12:11] like sort of like pretenses or I don't

[12:14] know pretend that we're doing better

[12:15] than we are even though he already knows

[12:17] but um so that's what stuck out to me

[12:21] and trying to be better about just

[12:22] coming to God the way I am and letting

[12:25] him do all the work he needs to do um

[12:29] then the very last one

[12:31] um Mrs copes kind of gave a story and I

[12:35] I won't explain it very good but I'm

[12:36] going to try um but it was I don't know

[12:40] if it's a book or a poem or what but it

[12:42] talks about a a man who he gets saved

[12:44] and he invites Jesus into his heart and

[12:46] so in the story he's showing Jesus

[12:48] around all the rooms of like his

[12:50] thoughts and his appetites and his

[12:52] emotions and everything and so I thought

[12:54] the story was going to be of how Jesus

[12:56] cleans them all up um and you know makes

[13:00] everything all tidy um but it was um

[13:05] about there was a certain room called

[13:07] the drawing room um that they recalled

[13:09] the uh withdrawing room and that's where

[13:12] he would uh meet with the Lord every

[13:15] morning Jesus said I'll be here and I

[13:18] want you to come meet with me and um so

[13:22] they did every morning for hours and

[13:26] they made it all the cute story like

[13:29] there's a couch and the fireplace and

[13:30] everything um and then after a while he

[13:33] started getting busy so he stopped going

[13:36] as frequently or not as often or not as

[13:39] long um and it said that one day he just

[13:42] was kind of racing around doing his

[13:44] thing and he saw the door was open and

[13:46] he peaked inside and God was sitting

[13:48] there and he's like I didn't know you

[13:50] were here and he's like well I told you

[13:52] I'd be here every day waiting for you

[13:55] and so

[13:57] he you know asks him for forg foress and

[13:59] then Jesus basically says you think that

[14:02] like this little time we have together

[14:04] is just for you and like an aspect of

[14:07] your spiritual journey but it's for me

[14:10] too and so basically after she said all

[14:12] that it was like

[14:15] um she's like I don't think God was

[14:17] lonely that's why he created us she said

[14:21] um just like the fact that when we

[14:26] um go to do our devotions like he's

[14:29] waiting for us it's not just for us but

[14:32] he's he wants that too so I just I know

[14:36] that but it kind of blows my mind to

[14:37] think that he cares that much um so

[14:40] anyway that's what I got so you

[14:43] amen all right any other ladies who went

[14:46] to the retreat Audrey's in the sound

[14:47] booth back there next to her

[14:54] husband I had a really good time on the

[14:57] retreat I wrote up with um all the L

[14:59] ladies too and we had a really good time

[15:00] in the car and then uh eating lunch and

[15:02] shopping and uh we just had some really

[15:04] good fellowship and it was just kind of

[15:06] nice getting to know everyone a little

[15:07] bit better and getting to visit with

[15:10] them really enjoyed the campgrounds and

[15:13] um it was all really pretty and it was

[15:15] kind of fun to all be bunking together

[15:18] and um the messages were all really good

[15:21] and um I kind of got a lot out of the

[15:25] one that Tabitha mentioned about um I

[15:27] kind of thought that with the rooms of

[15:30] our mind I thought that she was going to

[15:33] the same place that Tabitha thought she

[15:35] was going with it of that he was going

[15:37] to clean it all up and then it kind of

[15:39] dawned on me

[15:40] that um it mentioned there was a room

[15:43] full of junk or something like that and

[15:46] it wasn't even a huge part of the story

[15:48] and I realized I'm like we have all this

[15:50] sin in our lives and God still wants a

[15:52] relationship with us and I just it's

[15:54] interesting because when it's a little

[15:57] bit mind-blowing like Tabitha was saying

[15:59] that the creator of the entire universe

[16:01] still wants a relationship with us and

[16:03] then I just think of how easily it is to

[16:05] get annoyed with the state of the world

[16:07] and people in general and then you

[16:09] realize that wait God wants a

[16:11] relationship with me and I get annoyed

[16:13] by other people and it's like we're all

[16:15] in the same group and how much God loves

[16:17] everyone and wants that relationship

[16:18] with everyone and I've got a little bit

[16:20] convicted on the fact that I could be I

[16:24] could turn on the news and just be so

[16:25] annoyed like oh my goodness people and

[16:27] then it's like oh wait that's me we're

[16:29] all people right and um

[16:33] just mind-blowing to think that God

[16:36] wants a relationship with each and every

[16:38] one of us when you think of all the

[16:39] things that he's done and how holy he is

[16:43] and how sinful we are naturally but it

[16:47] was a really good time and um for those

[16:49] of you who didn't get to go next year I

[16:51] would highly recommend it and uh thank

[16:54] you for Miss Jennifer for driving us all

[16:55] down praise the Lord for that amen

[17:21] honor the word of God we'll read Matthew

[17:24] 9:35 into chapter 10 and verse number

[17:28] five

[17:30] the Bible says and Jesus went about all

[17:32] the cities and Villages teaching in

[17:34] their synagogues and preaching the

[17:36] gospel of the kingdom and healing every

[17:38] sickness and every disease among the

[17:40] people but when he saw the multitudes he

[17:43] was moved with compassion on them

[17:46] because they fainted and were scattered

[17:48] abroad as sheep having no Shepherd then

[17:51] saith he unto his disciples the Harvest

[17:54] truly is plenteous but the laborers are

[17:58] few

[17:59] pray ye therefore the lord of the

[18:02] Harvest that he'll send forth laborers

[18:04] into his Harvest and then we go right

[18:06] into chapter 10 and when he had called

[18:08] unto him his 12 disciples he gave them

[18:10] power against unclean spirits to cast

[18:13] them out to heal all manner of sickness

[18:15] and all manner of disease now the names

[18:18] of the twel Apostles are these the first

[18:19] Simon who is called Peter Andrew his

[18:22] brother James the son of Zebedee and

[18:23] John his brother Philip and Bartholomew

[18:26] Thomas and Matthew the publican

[18:29] James the son of alfus and laus whose

[18:31] serd name was thadius Simon the

[18:34] Canaanite and Judas the scariot who also

[18:37] betrayed him these 12 Jesus what's the

[18:40] next two words sent

[18:44] forth tonight as we continue our series

[18:47] on prayer we're going to speak on this

[18:48] subject pray for

[18:50] Laborers pray for Laborers caution it

[18:54] might be

[18:55] you pray for Laborers caution it might

[18:59] be you let's go to the Lord in prayer

[19:02] tonight de Heavenly Father Lord I Thank

[19:03] you for the opportunity to teach and to

[19:04] preach your word and Lord I pray tonight

[19:06] if you would please cleanse me of sin

[19:08] EMP to me of myself that I might get out

[19:10] of the way tonight and your word may go

[19:12] forth Lord I pray that you'd speak to

[19:14] our hearts tonight help us to have Open

[19:16] Hearts open minds and be responsive to

[19:19] your word tonight in your name I pray

[19:22] amen thank you for standing you may be

[19:26] seated familiar passage and chapter

[19:30] nine we forget sometimes that when the

[19:33] gospels were originally written there

[19:35] were no chapter

[19:36] divisions it was all one

[19:39] letter so sometimes when we're reading a

[19:42] passage of scripture and we stop at

[19:44] verse 38 so that's the end of the story

[19:46] well there's more to it than that if you

[19:48] look at verse 10 and when so right after

[19:51] he tells them to pray and whenn and

[19:55] that's what happened next and so tonight

[19:57] I'd like to draw your

[19:59] attention to this passage and consider

[20:02] what Jesus is wanting to do with the

[20:05] disciples begin he went about the cities

[20:08] and he's teaching in the synagogues he's

[20:11] preaching the gospel of kingdom and now

[20:14] he's healing every sickness and every

[20:16] disease among the people and earlier in

[20:18] the chapter he cast out a

[20:21] demon and then we get to chapter

[20:24] 10 and he gives the disciples power

[20:28] against unclean spirits to cast them out

[20:31] to heal all manner of sickness and all

[20:33] manner of

[20:35] disease so what he was doing he now has

[20:39] given the power for them to do now it's

[20:42] his power they're doing it in it's not

[20:44] them it's him but we find here he

[20:49] starts this preaching ministry in

[20:52] Galilee and he's healing people and then

[20:54] in verse

[20:56] 36 it says he saw the multitudes he was

[20:59] moved with compassion on them because

[21:02] they were scattered abroad as sheep

[21:04] having no Shepherd then saith he unto

[21:07] his disciples the Harvest truly is

[21:08] plenteous but the laborers are

[21:11] few when Jesus saw the multitudes he was

[21:14] moved with compassion and he said we

[21:17] need laborers to work with the

[21:19] people I want you to think about it he's

[21:22] he's moved with compassion he says we

[21:23] need people to work with the

[21:26] people and so he looks at the people his

[21:29] disciples and he says to them pray ye

[21:33] therefore pray ye

[21:36] therefore so he tells them to pray and

[21:39] in the beginning of chapter

[21:41] 10 he sends

[21:44] them the people who are to pray are the

[21:47] people he choses chooses to empower and

[21:50] then the people he empowers he sends

[21:53] them it's pretty

[21:55] amazing that almighty God looked at a

[21:58] group of 12

[21:59] men one of them we know is a

[22:03] betrayer one of them we know is He's

[22:05] listed here is a former tax collector

[22:07] he's a

[22:08] Publican one of them listed here he's a

[22:11] Canaanite and the other ones have some

[22:14] family issues and Jesus uses

[22:19] them so tonight as we focus in on

[22:24] prayer verse 38 pray ye therefore

[22:29] the lord of the Harvest and what we are

[22:31] to pray is that he will send forth

[22:35] laborers and then what does he do in the

[22:37] very next chapter he sends forth

[22:42] laborers so tonight I I want us to

[22:47] understand how to pray for

[22:53] Laborers how to pray for Laborers

[22:58] number one thing you and I must

[23:01] consider is Jesus was

[23:04] moved number one tonight when he saw the

[23:09] people to pray for Laborers you got to

[23:13] see

[23:17] people often we have missionaries who

[23:20] come and present their field of where

[23:22] God's called them to many of them when

[23:26] they're standing before us presenting

[23:27] the field they've already been there and

[23:30] saw the

[23:32] people and seeing the people they're not

[23:36] going to a country they're going to a

[23:40] people that's who they're going to the

[23:43] people why are they going there because

[23:45] there's a condition of the souls that

[23:47] they're called

[23:48] to and in our text today Jesus saw the

[23:52] multitudes and he's moved with

[23:55] compassion and then the very multitud

[23:58] itude he has in the later part of

[24:01] chapter 10 from verses 6 through toward

[24:03] the end of the chapter that's some of

[24:05] the people he sends the laborers

[24:09] to the people he saw had gathered into

[24:13] Galilee and some of them were not

[24:16] galileans Jesus saw those people and he

[24:19] sent laborers to those

[24:21] people so if you and I are going to pray

[24:24] for

[24:25] Laborers number one we have to see the

[24:30] people and seeing the people number one

[24:32] under that is their

[24:34] condition the condition of

[24:37] souls Jesus didn't just see the people

[24:40] said this is a big group of

[24:42] people Jesus didn't just look at the

[24:44] people and say hey there are people here

[24:48] no when he looked at the people he saw

[24:50] the concern for their soul that they

[24:52] were scattered abroad as sheep having no

[24:56] Shepherd he saw the condition of the

[24:59] souls that are there and if you and I

[25:01] are going to pray for Laborers we got to

[25:03] see

[25:06] people we got to see

[25:09] them and when you see the condition of

[25:11] souls it affects you another thing to

[25:15] consider is when Jesus saw the people he

[25:17] saw what they were and he asked his

[25:19] disciples to pray because caregivers are

[25:23] needed when you see Souls when you see

[25:27] people you recognize somebody needs to

[25:30] help

[25:33] them somebody needs to help them so if

[25:37] you're going to pray for Laborers you

[25:38] got to see people we got to open our

[25:42] eyes to see

[25:44] people now people are

[25:47] peopley and some people don't like other

[25:50] people but guess what God

[25:52] does he calls us to minister to people

[25:55] why as we heard in a little bit of the

[25:57] testimonies God loves people and he

[26:00] desires a relationship with

[26:02] people he doesn't Rel desire a

[26:05] relationship with a piece of ground he

[26:08] desires a relationship with the

[26:11] people so there's a condition of souls

[26:14] there's caregivers are needed he saw the

[26:16] people and Jesus's response I want you

[26:19] to think about this tonight his response

[26:23] is not I can be their

[26:25] Shepherd I can take care of all these

[26:27] people

[26:29] Jesus's response was to get other people

[26:33] involved in the ministry of

[26:36] people he looked at his disciples and

[26:39] said pray ye therefore the lord of the

[26:41] Harvest that he'll send forth

[26:44] laborers because the laborers are

[26:47] few he asked people to pray for

[26:52] Laborers now I want you to notice

[26:54] something it's the Lord's

[26:57] laborers look if you would in the verse

[26:59] 36 when he saw the multitud move

[27:02] compassion because they faint to Brad

[27:03] sheep having no Shepherd then saith he

[27:05] unto his disciples the Harvest truly is

[27:06] plenteous but the laborers are few pray

[27:08] ye therefore the lord of the Harvest

[27:10] that he will send forth laborers into

[27:13] his Harvest so whose laborers are they

[27:16] they're the

[27:18] Lords now growing up in Ministry there

[27:22] is two different things that have to be

[27:24] considered when it comes to serving the

[27:25] lord in Ministry fulltime

[27:28] one is somebody who has a burden can be

[27:32] unburdened somebody who has a calling

[27:35] can't walk

[27:37] away and when God places a calling on

[27:39] your life you can't walk away from it

[27:42] but burden people can become

[27:45] unburdened but called

[27:47] people we become like Jeremiah's we

[27:49] can't help but

[27:51] speak it's like a fire shut up in our

[27:55] bones and so he says to pray for

[27:58] Laborers they're the Lord's

[28:01] laborers and it's whose

[28:04] Harvest it's the Lord's

[28:07] Harvest no person ministering to people

[28:11] is to build people for

[28:14] themselves it's for the Lord we are the

[28:17] Lord's laborers it is the Lord's

[28:20] Harvest it is not my church it's his

[28:23] church it is not my Ministry it's his

[28:26] ministry we we talked about in Sunday

[28:28] school on Sunday we're just the glove

[28:30] that the Lord chooses to put on to do

[28:32] the work of the

[28:33] ministry that's all we

[28:35] are he doesn't need us but he chooses to

[28:40] use us that's an amazing

[28:43] thought so he asked at them to

[28:47] pray for

[28:49] Laborers to send forth laborers into his

[28:53] Harvest it's the Lord's Harvest any Soul

[28:55] that's saved is not because of the

[28:57] person involved and leading them to

[28:59] Christ it is Christ who saved them any

[29:02] person who becomes more spiritual it's

[29:04] not because of the person it was because

[29:06] of the Lord working in the person it's

[29:10] all him it's not us it's the Lord's

[29:14] Harvest we're the Lord's laborers we are

[29:16] working for the

[29:17] Lord right after he tells them to pray

[29:20] and when he had called unto his his 12

[29:24] disciples he gave them power against

[29:27] unclean spirits to cast them out and to

[29:30] heal all manner of sickness and all

[29:32] manner of disease now earlier in chapter

[29:34] nine that's what he did he cast out a

[29:36] demon verse 35 he's going around and

[29:38] he's Healing The Sick and he's

[29:40] ministering to the multitudes and then

[29:42] he looks at these 12 men and says I'm

[29:44] gonna give you the power to do that now

[29:46] wait a minute pause rewind one of them

[29:50] is going to betray

[29:56] him and God used broken people one of

[30:01] these disciples one of these 12 is going

[30:02] to deny him three times and the Lord

[30:04] knew

[30:06] that God

[30:09] knew where these men would fall

[30:12] short but God also knew what these men

[30:16] could do with God's power on

[30:19] them and he chose to use

[30:23] them so he calls his 12 disciples and

[30:28] then he empowers them now here's the

[30:31] amazing thing so if we're going to pray

[30:33] for labor we must realize that we got to

[30:36] see people we got to pray for Laborers

[30:39] and we got to recognize when God sends

[30:41] laborers he calls them and he empowers

[30:44] them he calls them and he empowers them

[30:48] under that point tonight God uses people

[30:51] let's think about that Jesus used people

[30:56] to do the work now I don't have time to

[30:57] go from verse six all verse 5 all the

[30:59] way down through the rest of the chapter

[31:01] and talk to you about all the things and

[31:03] I'll mention some of it here in just a

[31:04] little bit but I don't have time to go

[31:06] through all of those verses tonight and

[31:07] expound on all of them tonight but I can

[31:09] tell you this he uses

[31:13] people and he gives them his

[31:18] power of myself I can do

[31:24] nothing but God is all powerful and God

[31:28] empowers those that he

[31:32] calls God does not listen God doesn't

[31:36] just call the equipped he equipped who

[31:38] he

[31:40] called God is not looking at you saying

[31:42] well you got all this great potential

[31:45] and that's why I'm going to call you to

[31:46] Ministry or call you to serve me or call

[31:49] you to work in the nursery or call you

[31:50] to work in the choir or call you to do

[31:52] this or call you to do that no no no no

[31:54] he's not looking at what you've got on

[31:56] your resume he's looking at your

[31:58] availability to

[32:01] him your greatest ability for God is

[32:04] your availability to

[32:06] him and so God equips those that he

[32:10] calls so he calls these 12 disciples and

[32:12] he equips them he uses his people he

[32:14] gives them his power and in verse number

[32:18] five the 12 he sent forth and commanded

[32:21] and he directs them where to go he tells

[32:24] them all those things so in verse five

[32:25] he sends them to the people

[32:30] he sent them to the people letter A

[32:32] under that he sent

[32:34] them they didn't just go wherever they

[32:36] wanted to go God told them where to go

[32:39] he sent them he directed

[32:43] them he equipped them he told them as

[32:47] you read through the rest of the chapter

[32:49] about resistance they would face and how

[32:52] to handle

[32:54] it because when you're called by God he

[32:59] sends you he directs you he equips you

[33:01] and he will help you deal with

[33:04] resistance now as we think about this

[33:07] passage we see it in the life of the

[33:11] disciples and tonight you and I ought to

[33:15] pray for

[33:18] Laborers everybody ought to pray men

[33:20] ought always to pray the Bible says to

[33:23] pray without ceasing we ought to pray

[33:25] for Laborers

[33:27] and there are people around us that God

[33:30] wants to use other people to be the

[33:33] caregivers

[33:35] for so God opens our eyes to see

[33:41] people so God has opened the eyes of

[33:43] people there are people that have gotten

[33:46] involved in Ministry and gotten involved

[33:48] and there are things great things ahead

[33:50] that God wants to do through our church

[33:52] and people are seeing the need they're

[33:54] seeing the people and God they're

[33:56] surrendering to God and say I want to do

[33:58] what God wants me to

[34:00] do and some of you were equipped by God

[34:03] to do things that other people are not

[34:05] equipped by God to

[34:09] do some of you God has given you

[34:11] abilities and talents and he wants you

[34:13] to use them for

[34:14] him and he's equipped you for

[34:18] that but we ought to pray for

[34:23] Laborers there's a former English pastor

[34:27] his name was Guy King he said this No

[34:29] One Believes more in the power of prayer

[34:34] than the

[34:35] devil not that he practices it but he

[34:39] suffers from it I'll read it again in

[34:43] case you missed it guy King said No One

[34:46] Believes more in the power of prayer

[34:48] than the devil not that he practices it

[34:51] but he suffers from

[34:53] it one of the most scary things for the

[34:57] gates of heav hell is when a Christian

[34:59] gets on their knees in

[35:03] prayer so one of the things that Satan

[35:05] most fears about this church is when

[35:09] people

[35:11] pray it's one of the things he fears the

[35:14] most are when Christians pray and the

[35:16] Lord himself directed us to pray for

[35:23] Laborers now it's easy to say God send

[35:26] somebody

[35:28] to help with the work of the church but

[35:31] he wants us to pray

[35:35] intelligently so to pray

[35:37] intelligently number one you got to see

[35:43] people you can't stay in your

[35:47] bubble you have to recognize that God

[35:50] wants you to see

[35:53] people on Sunday

[35:55] morning when the bus rolls in it's not

[35:58] just a bus it's people on the

[36:01] bus they're

[36:04] souls and caregivers are

[36:07] needed when you walk by the nursery it's

[36:09] not just a room full of babies it's

[36:14] Souls but those little Souls that are in

[36:17] there belong to people that are in here

[36:20] and because of your labor of love it

[36:23] allows them to have a service where

[36:25] there's not a little one crying on their

[36:26] shoulder

[36:28] and it gives them an opportunity for

[36:30] just a moment to set aside the mom or

[36:34] dad part of their brain and focus in on

[36:36] the word of God it's just a moment so

[36:39] you may say well I'm just watching

[36:41] babies and nursing no you are in the

[36:42] ministry of

[36:44] souls you're ministering to

[36:47] souls you look in a classroom you're

[36:50] like there's just a bunch of

[36:51] preschoolers no they're little

[36:54] souls and they need care

[36:58] and some people once they see them will

[37:00] realize God's called me to minister to

[37:04] them and God will equip you to do

[37:07] that not everybody can deal with

[37:10] preschoolers but God equips people to do

[37:15] that if you're going to pray for

[37:18] Laborers you got to be willing to say

[37:22] Lord here am

[37:25] I send me

[37:29] if you're going to really pray for

[37:30] Laborers you got to recognize the

[37:32] condition so you got to recognize the

[37:33] work of the church is accomplished by

[37:36] people God uses

[37:40] people we don't have Roomba

[37:43] vacuums we have vacuums somebody plugs

[37:46] in somebody

[37:47] pushes they don't go by

[37:51] themselves but somebody does

[37:54] that multiple people do that

[37:58] throughout the

[37:59] week you may say I'm just vacuuming the

[38:02] floor it's not that big of a deal but

[38:06] listen

[38:09] listen an unswept floor will be a

[38:11] distraction to some

[38:14] people there are men in our church that

[38:17] work in

[38:18] construction that I've gone to other

[38:21] churches and other meetings with them

[38:22] and they have a hard

[38:24] time because they see a wall and they

[38:26] see the drywall SE that's in there and

[38:28] it bugs

[38:30] them they see it and they're trying to

[38:33] pay attention to the message but over

[38:36] here somebody didn't do their job right

[38:40] and it irritates

[38:43] them and they catch themselves looking

[38:46] they catch themselves looking they've

[38:48] told me because I pay

[38:52] attention it affects

[38:55] me every ministry that's involved in the

[38:57] ministry of the church hey I'm so

[38:59] thankful for those that take out the

[39:01] trash after the

[39:05] nursery CU if not there'll be an aroma

[39:09] but it won't be a sweet smelling Savor

[39:11] unto the

[39:14] Lord I know this because there have been

[39:17] times that did not

[39:20] depart and we've come into the church

[39:23] later on in the week

[39:26] and I'm thankful for people who do all

[39:28] sorts of different Ministry you may

[39:30] think all I'm doing is this but it's a

[39:32] big deal because it's in the ministry of

[39:35] souls every job in the church every

[39:39] Ministry of the church is a Ministry of

[39:44] souls you say well it doesn't seem like

[39:46] a big it's a big

[39:48] deal and God chose us as people to be

[39:53] used by God to accomplish the work that

[39:57] he wants to accomplish but guess

[40:00] what just like here in Matthew chapter n

[40:04] the Lord looks at our church

[40:07] today and he sees sheep that are

[40:09] scattered abroad he sees people that

[40:12] he's bringing to our church and he says

[40:15] to us today pray ye therefore the lord

[40:18] of the Harvest that he'll send forth

[40:20] laborers into his

[40:23] harvest the Harvest truly is plenteous

[40:25] but the laborers are few

[40:28] listen God wants to use

[40:31] you this is a command of God to pray ye

[40:36] therefore God wants us to pray for

[40:40] Laborers all of us ought to be willing

[40:43] God would you provide the laborers for

[40:46] the work of the ministry of Bible

[40:48] Baptist Church but caution while you're

[40:51] praying he may be calling you

[40:58] say well then I'm not going to

[41:04] pray now we wouldn't say that out

[41:08] loud but if our lack of praying for

[41:12] Laborers is an indication of our heart

[41:16] some of us may not be praying as much as

[41:18] we ought to because we're afraid God

[41:19] might call us to be the

[41:24] laborer pray ye therefore the lord of

[41:26] the hearts that he'll send forth labors

[41:28] there are

[41:32] souls when you open that

[41:35] bulletin and you read the attendance

[41:38] it's not

[41:40] numbers it's Souls that were present

[41:44] it's Souls that we had an opportunity to

[41:47] minister to it's Souls that were

[41:53] here and God is giving us a

[41:56] responsibility for more

[42:00] souls so when he gives us a

[42:02] responsibility for more souls we need

[42:05] more laborers for the

[42:08] souls and guess where the laborers come

[42:14] from right

[42:18] here so you may see a

[42:21] need I want to challenge you if you see

[42:23] a need pray for Laborers for that

[42:30] need

[42:33] Sunday for two years I've been praying

[42:36] for two particular

[42:40] needs and I believe in my heart after

[42:44] conversations that I had Sunday that the

[42:46] Lord has answered the prayer for those

[42:49] two

[42:52] needs now to you it's not a big

[42:55] deal but to me

[42:57] is

[42:58] huge because I see answer to prayer and

[43:03] I see what God is doing and I see what

[43:08] God can do and will do if we'll just let

[43:12] him use

[43:14] us it's exciting to

[43:19] see I went home Sunday night and it took

[43:22] me about three hours to fall asleep

[43:27] after I went to bed because I was just a

[43:29] little

[43:33] bit excited about what God was

[43:40] doing but guess what it motivated me to

[43:43] do on

[43:45] Monday pray ye therefore the lord of the

[43:48] Harvest that he'll send forth laborers

[43:52] into his

[43:54] Harvest what God wants to do

[43:57] through the work in the ministry of

[43:59] Bible Baptist Church will only be

[44:02] accomplished by two things prayer and

[44:08] people prayer and

[44:11] people laborers are

[44:15] needed Jesus saw the multitude and said

[44:18] laborers are needed fellas pray and then

[44:21] right after they were commanded to pray

[44:24] he called them he empowered them and he

[44:27] sent them to some of the very multitude

[44:30] they were asked to pray

[44:34] for so this is what God wants from you

[44:36] tonight pray for

[44:41] Laborers and if God says it's you say

[44:46] yes to

[44:49] God pray for Laborers and if God says

[44:52] it's you say yes to God

[44:57] well I see that we ought to pray for

[44:58] someone to do this or we ought to pray

[45:00] for someone to do that and we ought to

[45:01] pray for someone to do that amen

[45:05] pray but if he calls

[45:08] you don't change your prayer to God

[45:10] anybody but me anybody but me let's not

[45:13] change our prayer to anybody but

[45:15] me let's say yes Lord to your will and

[45:19] to your

[45:20] way pray ye

[45:23] therefore now here's the good news if

[45:26] God calls you he'll equip you he'll

[45:28] Empower you if God calls you and equips

[45:31] you guess what will happen you'll face

[45:35] resistance there will be one day when

[45:39] you're in that preschool

[45:42] class and it you come out and it looks

[45:46] like you've been to

[45:49] War and the preacher says how' class go

[45:55] today it was one one of those

[45:58] days you'll face

[46:02] resistance but I'll tell you if you

[46:05] will before Sunday

[46:09] comes pray for the

[46:11] souls that are in that

[46:15] class you'll recognize spiritual warfare

[46:18] is taking

[46:20] place now we got two

[46:23] weapons for spiritual warfare the word

[46:27] of God and prayer both of them are

[46:31] Mighty unto God through the pulling down

[46:35] of

[46:39] strongholds Satan believes in the power

[46:42] of prayer not because he practiced it

[46:45] but because he suffers from it the Gates

[46:49] of Hell shake with fear when a Christian

[46:53] hits his knees in prayer

[46:59] so have you prayed for Laborers this

[47:05] week because there are

[47:08] souls that are on the

[47:11] property throughout the

[47:13] week that God wants us to pray for

[47:16] Laborers to help with those

[47:18] Souls but

[47:20] caution it might be

[47:23] you you might be the soul that he wants

[47:27] to use to reach those

[47:32] Souls it's amazing to

[47:37] me look at verse two chapter

[47:43] 10 now the names of the twel Apostles

[47:46] are these first Simon who's called Peter

[47:50] who denied him Andrew his brother who

[47:53] every time in scripture is recorded

[47:55] bringing people to Jesus

[47:57] every time you read about Andrew it's a

[47:59] good study bringing people to

[48:01] Jesus James the son of Zebedee and John

[48:04] is brother they're also noted as the

[48:06] sons of thunder they also went to Jesus

[48:08] and said uh can we sit on the right hand

[48:10] and the left

[48:12] hand not only that in another gospel

[48:14] account it says their mama came and

[48:16] asked for

[48:18] them it's pretty serious when you ask

[48:20] your mama to go ask Jesus hey can we sit

[48:23] on the right hand the left hand

[50:42] back and after a period of time later on

[50:46] gospels Jesus sends them out

[50:49] again but this time it's not

[50:54] 12 it's 70

[51:00] the task required more

[51:06] labors and Jesus started with 12 then he

[51:11] got to

[51:12] 70 and he sent them out and he acqui

[51:16] them then they're in the upper

[51:19] room on the day of Pentecost and they're

[51:22] endued with power from on high and 3,000

[51:25] souls are added to the church that

[51:28] day added to

[51:30] what the church see Jesus's disciples

[51:34] were the first

[51:36] church it didn't start at the day of

[51:39] Pentecost they were added to the church

[51:40] the church already existed Jesus started

[51:43] the church with his

[51:45] disciples and then they were empowered

[51:48] on the day of Pentecost and received

[51:51] extra power but here's the amazing thing

[51:53] if we go back to chapter nine the people

[51:56] that he chose to use were the first

[51:59] church and he's still using the church

[52:03] the laborers are in the church every

[52:06] work that he needs to accomplish in this

[52:08] area of the world is going to be found

[52:11] in his

[52:12] church so it's

[52:14] you it's me who he

[52:19] calls and some of you might say well my

[52:22] testimony is going to follow me like

[52:24] that Matthew the public Publican yeah it

[52:28] be my name and the whatever your past

[52:32] testimony is but listen with God your

[52:35] past stays past and your

[52:38] future is with

[52:40] him so let's move forward for

[52:44] God so can I ask you tonight are you

[52:47] seeing

[52:49] souls are you seeing

[52:52] Souls when a body comes through the door

[52:55] it's a soul

[52:57] in need of a savior it's a soul in need

[53:00] of ministering too it's a

[53:04] soul are you seeing

[53:07] Souls number two are you praying for

[53:09] Laborers to help with the

[53:11] souls are you praying for Laborers to

[53:15] help with the souls number three tonight

[53:18] are you willing to say yes if he chooses

[54:27] say yes if God chooses to use

[54:42] week now is a good time to see souls to

[54:45] pray for Laborers and to say God I'm

[57:08] her daughter Tisha Tisha is 16 weeks

[57:11] pregnant and started having contraction

[57:13] likee symptoms she's already had

[57:15] multiple miscarriages with other

[57:16] children and so we ask you to pray they

[57:19] are taking her to the hospital right as

[57:20] they service was getting ready to start

[57:22] so you pray for Tisha Minar if you would

[57:25] and then for for Mary as well uh we'd

[57:28] appreciate that a lot of folks still

[57:29] battling sickness and recovering from

[57:31] that it's that time of year so you pray

[57:34] for them pray for school starting soon

[57:37] and then also for college starting for

[57:39] some as well so be in prayer for them if

[57:41] you would as well we greatly appreciate

[57:44] that um brother Charlie got a new piece

[57:47] of Hardware today right he got a heart

[57:50] monitor today and so pray for him as

[57:52] they're trying to figure out what's

[57:54] going on and so he's just chilling out

[57:57] he's just a mellow guy and when he

[57:59] chills out his heart rate goes way down

[58:01] and so pray for him that the doctors can

[58:03] figure out what's triggering this and

[58:06] what's causing that and we can get some

[58:07] answers

[58:09] so he's tired of having to do this so I

[58:13] want you on purpose to commit to pray

[58:16] that it get some

[58:18] answers because the devil believes in

[58:21] the power of prayer and we ought to

[58:23] believe in it more than him amen so I

[58:46] and so our young adults class is the

[58:48] prayer Focus for this week so we just

[58:52] finished last week's prayer focus and

[58:55] now we're praying for the Young Adult

[58:56] class someone messaged the church page

[58:58] today well how young is the young adults

[59:01] class and someone responded back younger

[59:04] than

[59:05] you no I'm just teasing they didn't say

[59:08] it that way they just gave them an age

[59:09] group so and then that person said I

[59:11] recognize I'm not young anymore I feel

[59:13] your pain I'm not young anymore but I'm

[59:16] not old either and so I'm right in the

[59:19] middle and so uh but be in prayer for

[59:22] the Young Adult class um October uh we

[59:26] have a event planned for our young

[59:29] adults and so we'll be hosting a young

[59:31] adults conference called The Escape and

[59:34] so we're looking forward to that really

[59:36] pray for young adults right now and so

[59:38] some of them getting ready to start into

[59:40] college some of them battling work and

[59:43] future plans for life and all of that

[59:45] stuff a lot of things happen in the

[59:47] young adult stage of Life uh when I was

[59:50] a young adult uh I made the decision on

[59:53] where I was going to go to college who I

[59:54] was going to marry where I was going to

[59:56] finish college where we're going to go

[59:58] after college all of that happened in

[60:01] the young adults Agee all those

[60:02] decisions I made before I was 23 that's

[60:05] a lot of stressful life

[60:08] decisions and so um where I went after

[60:12] college affected my family the church we

[60:15] worked in I was our pastor for nine

[60:17] years and so the ministry there the

[60:19] children's ministry there all that gets

[60:21] affected that's a major decision for a

[60:23] young person to make so pray for our

[60:24] young adults this week on purpose now

[60:27] some of us can remember when we were

[60:29] young some of

[60:31] us we try to remember when we were young

[60:35] and so let's what are you looking at

[60:36] each other for over there no and so

[60:38] let's pray pray for the young adults if

[60:40] you would and uh God's got a was doing a

[60:44] work in our young adults lives so you

[60:45] really pray for them this week on

[60:47] purpose and so uh looking forward to

[60:50] next week's prayer focus and uh I want

[60:53] you to be intentional next week when we

[60:54] get to next week's prayer Focus uh we

[60:57] are working on brother Jesse's trying to

[60:59] help me get the graphic for our prayer

[61:01] Focus we will create it into a billboard

[61:04] for our sign and so each week the ones

[61:06] that are Community oriented will be out

[61:08] on our billboard and be on our church

[61:10] sign so as they drive by they'll see it

[61:12] on the church sign that our church is

[61:14] praying for that this week because our

[61:17] prayer ought to be for our community

[61:19] because they're souls in need of a

[61:21] savior and God chooses us to be the ones

[61:25] to be the labor neighbor to take the

[61:26] gospel to them so if you would pray for

[61:28] the Young Adult class and pray for the

[61:31] young adults in our church and I think

[61:33] that was from uh was that from your

[61:35] escape room activity brother John yeah

[61:37] uh they they all made it out in time

[61:40] just barely right it was just barely

[61:41] right five minutes five minutes to spare

[61:44] so but pray for the young adults and uh

[61:47] their their work there and then pray

[61:50] also for our young adults that are

[61:51] married in their 20s and 30s we're doing

[61:54] some things with them as well and so

[61:56] pray for them as well uh that God would

[61:59] work with them I hope you prayed for

[62:00] parents this past week is needful

[62:04] praying for parents and I as I mentioned

[62:06] Sunday night uh Monday uh two different

[62:08] sets of parents God placed on my heart

[62:10] so I took time out of my day Monday to

[62:12] pray specifically for them and then

[62:14] another family Tuesday God said pray for

[62:16] them so I took time to pray for them so

[62:19] when God puts a person on your

[62:23] heart it's not on accident

[62:26] and he wants you to be willing to pray

[62:28] for them so I encourage you to pray for

[62:31] that if you would please and be in

[62:33] prayer for church services and the work

[62:35] of the ministry uh we do have some folks

[62:37] out of town um many of you remember the

[62:40] morales's their daughter Amy's getting

[62:42] married in Houston Texas and so you pray

[64:12] Lord maybe at that time so pray for that

[64:15] that God's working on his heart and God

[64:22] Robbie uh she is under the weather today

[64:25] was having some testing done and still

[64:28] not 100% um she sounds terrible but she

[64:31] tells me she feels good and so but you

[64:34] pray for Miss Robbie uh she's at home

[64:36] recuperating tonight pray for my wife

[64:38] still uh not back to where she wants to

[64:40] be yet uh she really wanted to be here

[64:43] tonight uh to share what God's doing so

[64:46] she'll be one of those testimonies

[64:47] Sunday night God really spoke to her

[64:49] heart at the ladies Retreat and so

[64:52] looking forward to hearing from some of

[64:53] the ladies Sunday night some of the

[64:55] teenag as well Sunday night uh some of

[64:57] them have agreed to give testimonies and

[64:59] so looking forward to hearing from them

[65:01] about youthcon we heard from the college

[65:03] students last Sunday night we'll hear

[65:05] from them and so you guys are getting

[65:07] spoiled I've had two weeks in a row I

[65:08] had to preach shorter messages I

[65:10] preached 20 minute messages two Sunday

[65:12] nights in a row don't anticipate that

[65:14] all the time okay I can do it but don't

[65:17] anticipate it all the time all right and

[65:19] so but we look forward to hearing those

[65:21] testimonies uh brother Josh is going to

[65:23] be working with some young people right

[65:24] after service right that interested uh

[65:26] teenagers and college students as well

[65:29] that are interested so teenagers and any

[65:31] young adults in the young adults class

[65:32] that are interested they're working on a

[65:33] special song and so if you can see

[65:35] brother Josh you're going to meet up

[65:37] here you're going to meet down there

[65:38] meet right over here on the front two

[65:39] rows right after church and so those

[65:42] interested in getting involved in a

[65:43] special with the young adults and the

[65:44] teenagers come over right over here

[65:47] after service brother Josh is going to

[65:48] be in the fall uh working with some

[65:51] special music and doing some of that

[65:52] kind of things for us helping out God's

[65:55] given him a birth in about special music

[65:57] and so uh if you're interested in

[65:58] getting involved in special music see

[66:00] him or myself and uh trying to get more

[66:03] people involved more laborers to sing

[66:05] for the Lord amen and so if you can get

[66:07] involved in that make sure you see him
