[0:03] try to stop the war Senate Democrats
[0:06] want to take back the authorization they
[0:08] gave the president to invade Iraq and in
[0:10] CBS News 60 Minutes exclusive hundreds
[0:13] of US servicemen and women are
[0:15] protesting the war while they're
[0:16] fighting it it's simply just not working
[0:19] out anymore also tonight what kind of
[0:21] mileage is your car getting the
[0:23] government says you're not getting what
[0:24] the sticker set you'd get and when it
[0:27] comes to Transportation it doesn't get

[0:45] tonight the Democrats are trying a new
[0:47] strategy in their battle with President
[0:48] Bush over the war in Iraq after failing
[0:51] to push through a non-binding resolution
[0:53] opposing the war Senate Democrats are
[0:55] now out to force the president to change
[0:57] the way the war is being fought here's
[0:59] our chief White House correspondent Jim
[1:01] Axelrod Democrats looking for a
[1:03] politically effective way to oppose the
[1:05] war think they found a winner rewriting
[1:08] the four-year-old resolution that gave
[1:09] President Bush the power to put troops
[1:11] in Iraq in the first place the idea
[1:14] started with Senator Joe Biden it does
[1:16] not abandon the troops it does not cut
[1:18] off funding for the troops it defines
[1:20] the mission the 2002 resolution gave the
[1:23] president authority to go to war
[1:25] primarily to confront Saddam Hussein and
[1:27] dismantle his weapons of mass
[1:29] destruction program that mission is
[1:31] finished done there were no wea
