[0:03] Tonight on World Blitzer Reports, the
[0:05] war room, a stunning setback for
[0:08] Afghanistan's Taliban as the Northern
[0:10] Alliance captures the capital. There was
[0:13] no option for us but to uh to send our
[0:17] security forces into Kabul.
[0:20] But the celebrations are marred by
[0:22] violence. The US and its allies worry
[0:25] about a power vacuum. We'll go live to
[0:27] Afghanistan, Pakistan, and the Pentagon
[0:30] reporters. Have the anti-Taliban forces
[0:34] moved too far, too soon. Are they

[0:42] Thompson, former US envoy to the

[1:18] Northern Alliance forces are on the
[1:20] offensive. Their latest success, the
[1:22] takeover of the country's capital,
[1:23] Kabul, and the Taliban appear to be in
[1:26] full retreat. In the Afghan capital,
[1:29] jubilation mixes with vengeance. Let's
[1:31] go right to Kabell where CNN's Matthew
[1:33] Chance is standing by live with all the
[1:35] latest developments. Matthew,
[1:40] that's right, Wolf. A dramatic turn of
[1:42] events here in the Afghan capital. Just
[1:44] a day ago or so, this city behind me,
[1:47] Carbell, was firmly in the hands of the
[1:50] Taliban. Now those T
