[0:03] From New York, this is ABC [music] News.

[0:07] Now, Ted Coff.

[0:10] Good evening. A 14th century chateau

[0:13] today became the site of a six nation

[0:15] summit on the economic ills of the 20th

[0:17] century. President Ford, the leaders of

[0:20] five allied nations and a security force

[0:22] of 3,000 men arrived for the start of

[0:24] three days of talks that promised to

[0:26] range from what to do about worldwide

[0:28] recession to the global impact of a New

[0:30] York City default. ABC's Tom Gerald

[1:16] Arab oil boycott. So he will be urging

[1:18] the other leaders such as host President

[1:20] Xishkar Dustang to hang together to

[1:23] deprive the oil cartel of their power to

[1:25] set prices unreasonably high. The

[1:28] official talks open with German

[1:30] Chancellor Schmidt leading a discussion

[1:31] on the dangers of inflation and

[1:33] recession. The
