[0:00] and send flood waters into the city

[0:03] these levies have never been put to the

[0:04] test by a major hurricane it's the first

[0:06] time that this large metropolitan area

[0:08] has had a direct hit in 40 years Brian

[0:11] all right David uh it's a little

[0:12] misleading is it not on the map it looks

[0:14] like Lake pona train is a landlocked

[0:17] Lake and Lake Bourne is a landlocked

[0:19] Lake but that's not the situation right

[0:20] that's actually open to the gulf so gulf

[0:23] water is being pushed into those Lakes

[0:25] as we speak here and the what will

[0:27] happen is is that as the waters pushed

[0:29] in a lake Bourne and to Lake Pon train

[0:31] to the north and they're really Bays for

[0:34] you know the proper term but they refer

[0:35] to as Lakes the sea level will continue

[0:38] to rise rise rise tide levels continue

[0:40] to go up that is and the levies are only

[0:43] so high and so if the storm surges big

[0:45] enough that's what would cause the lake

[0:47] then when the storm goes by to the north

[0:49] the winds would come around to the north

[0:51] and push the water that built in from

[0:52] the Gulf back south into the City and

[0:55] that's where the fear is for later today

[0:57] all right we'll continue to monitor

[0:58] we'll be here of course throughout the

[1:00] morning watching this develop but we

[1:03] have our local weather to talk about

[1:05] which thankfully is not bad but we also

[1:07] have another tropical depression that

[1:09] formed last night tropical depression

[1:10] number 13 here's Pamela Wright with both

[1:13] the local forecast and the latest on

[1:14] td13 Pamela hey there Brian we check out

[1:17] the radar from overnight and we have had

[1:19] a few showers and so
