[0:01] This is the CBS Evening News with Dan
[0:04] Rather.
[0:06] >> Good evening. Secretary of State Hey,
[0:09] using unusually strong and undiplomatic
[0:12] language, lashed out at the Soviet Union
[0:14] today. He accused it of adventurism
[0:17] around the globe, of using terrorism to
[0:20] infiltrate and subvert governments, and
[0:22] of maintaining a hit list of priority
[0:25] targets in Central America, an area he
[0:27] said was of special danger to the United
[0:30] States. Heg's remarks were made before
[0:32] the House Foreign Relations Committee,
[0:34] and Robert Perpoint was there.

[1:03] explicit in this. There is a Caribbean
[1:05] domino theory that's unfolding.
[1:07] >> Well, I wouldn't call it necessarily a
[1:09] domino theory. I would call it a a
[1:11] priority target list,
[1:13] >> a hit list, if you will, uh, for the
[1:16] ultimate takeover of Central America.
[1:18] >> Hey explained that such takeovers by
[1:20] communist forces often begin with local
[1:23] outbreaks of terrorism directed from
[1:25] Moscow. It is the Soviet Union that
[1:27] bears a major responsibility today for
[1:30] the proliferation and the hemorrhaging,
[1:32] if you will, of international terrorism
[1:34] as we've com
