[0:02] good morning once again Bible Baptist

[0:04] Church family it's Thursday morning and

[0:07] hopefully you've had a great day today

[0:09] so far some of you may be just waking up

[0:12] but we are so thankful you took time to

[0:14] stop by for our word of encouragement

[0:16] today our text this morning is in 1st

[0:19] Peter chapter 5 verse number 7 the Bible

[0:22] says casting all your care upon him for

[0:25] he careth for you be sober be vigilant

[0:27] because your adversary the devil as a

[0:30] roaring lion walketh about seeking whom

[0:33] he may devour whom resist steadfast in

[0:36] the faith knowing that the same

[0:39] afflictions are accomplished in your

[0:41] brethren that are in the world but the

[0:44] God of all Grace who hath called us into

[0:46] his eternal glory by Christ Jesus

[0:49] after that she have suffered a while

[0:50] make you perfect establish strengthen

[0:54] settle you to him be glory and Dominion

[0:57] forever and ever amen well I hope

[1:00] yesterday you took some time just to

[1:02] thank the Lord for what he's done for

[1:04] you that you took some time to mention

[1:07] the five things just picking five that

[1:10] we could thank the Lord for and

[1:12] hopefully that encouraged your spirit

[1:13] but most of us today if I asked you

[1:17] about the five things you were thankful

[1:19] for it may have taken you a minute but

[1:22] today if I asked you if I things you're

[1:23] worried about oh how quick they'd come

[1:26] and so in 1st Peter chapter 5 verse

[1:29] number 7 the Bible tells us to cast all

[1:32] our cares our anxiety upon the Lord upon

[1:36] him for he careth for you that process

[1:39] of casting is not like a fishing pole

[1:41] where we cast it out and reel it back in

[1:44] no it's laying it at the Lord's feet

[1:46] it's casting it and giving it to him but

[1:49] the Bible tells us our adversary the

[1:52] devil as a roaring lion seeking about

[1:55] whom he may devour the devil's after you

[1:58] and if you've ever thought about these

[2:01] two verses put together you'll discover

[2:03] an important truth that when you're

[2:05] weighed down with cares and fears you

[2:08] become easy

[2:09] a for the enemy you become an easy

[2:12] target for the devil but he says be

[2:14] sober be vigilant be right thinking be

[2:17] vigilant because your adversary so we've

[2:21] got to lay our fears and anxieties on

[2:24] the Lord and then we have to be on guard

[2:27] it says in verse number nine whom resist

[2:29] steadfast in the faith these are

[2:32] troubling times that we live in we never

[2:34] know what the day may bring but I want

[2:36] to remind you of something God is

[2:38] already in your tomorrow he already

[2:40] knows what's ahead and he is able to

[2:44] give us the encouragement that we need

[2:46] the problem is as many of us are hanging

[2:49] on to our fear maybe you pack the

[2:52] suitcase of fear today and everywhere

[2:54] you go throughout the day you hang on to

[2:56] that suitcase in a word it says today

[3:00] whom resist steadfast in the faith

[3:02] knowing that the same afflictions are

[3:05] accomplished in your brethren that are

[3:07] in the world the devil loves to torment

[3:11] people he loves the fearfulness and

[3:14] anxiety of people in this world today

[3:16] and he loves to manipulate people's

[3:19] feelings their emotions but my friend

[3:22] you and I can go to the Lord at any time

[3:25] and call upon his name and seek the

[3:28] truth of the word of God in our lives

[3:30] were to resist the thoughts and the

[3:33] temptations of the devil through faith

[3:36] I'm so thankful for verse 10 but the God

[3:39] of all Grace who hath called us into

[3:41] eternal glory by Christ Jesus after that

[3:44] ye have suffered a while make you

[3:47] perfect stablish strengthen and settle

[3:49] you your heart can be settled by God in

[3:52] his word today you don't have to be

[3:54] overwhelmed you don't have to be filled

[3:56] with anxiety you can have your faith

[3:59] help settle you today to calm your

[4:02] system to help you to understand how

[4:06] important it is to live a life by faith

[4:09] the songwriter said I care not today

[4:12] what tomorrow may bring in shadow or

[4:16] sunshine of rain the Lord I know

[4:19] Rula Thor and all of my worry

[4:23] is vain the chorus says living by faith

[4:26] in Jesus alone trusting confiding in his

[4:31] great love from all harm safe in his

[4:35] sheltering arms

[4:36] I'm living by faith and feel no alarm I

[4:40] hope today that's what you can sing

[4:43] living by faith not living by fear

[4:46] wondering where my next toilet paper

[4:49] roll may come from living by fear not

[4:52] knowing what tomorrow may bring

[4:55] living by fear because of what may

[4:58] happen but truly you could say living by

[5:02] faith because you're casting all your

[5:05] care upon him if you don't cast your

[5:09] cares upon him you're gonna find

[5:11] yourself loaded down with the burdens of

[5:15] life so today I encourage you to cast

[5:18] all your cares to the Lord

[5:19] yesterday we talked about five things to

[5:22] be thankful for today let's unload our

[5:25] fears unload our cares on the Lord so
