[0:09] Iraqi troops are beginning to surrender

[0:12] uh called me to caution me not that that

[0:16] was incorrect but that uh not to take uh

[0:20] much heart in the fact that these

[0:22] Frontline troops uh may be surrendering

[0:26] uh the heart of the Iraqi Army is the

[0:28] Republican guards they are

[0:30] uh behind way behind all these forces

[0:33] that are being attacked now they're back

[0:35] in Iraq proper just south of the city of

[0:38] bazra and they are the ones that are

[0:40] going to have the greatest capability uh

[0:43] toh kill Young Americans that are going

[0:46] into battle tonight but uh we should uh

[0:49] I suppose take some uh pleasure in the

[0:52] predicament that these Republican guards

[0:55] face they have spent the last 38 days

[0:58] being bombed almost daily now they know

[1:01] that an attack is has begun they don't

[1:04] know exactly what direction it's coming

[1:07] from but they know that if they come out

[1:09] of their fortifications and start to

[1:12] maneuver uh they are going to expose

[1:14] themselves to air strikes because

[1:16] remember we've been talking about the

[1:18] ground offensive but all this ground uh

[1:21] maneuver is being uh done under the

[1:24] cover of Allied Air

[1:27] Forces let's go to Wyatt Andrews at the

[1:29] White House

[1:30] quiet Dan we believe uh that the

[1:33] president will be speaking to the nation

[1:34] tonight we don't know exactly uh from

[1:37] where from what point whether it will be

[1:38] a press conference or simply a statement

[1:40] a speech from the Oval Office uh but we

[1:43] do know that he any minute now will
