[16:23] well and he killed all of jeroboam's

[16:27] family so there was a curse put upon

[16:32] took it into his own hands to kill all

[16:35] of the family of jeroboam and the Bible

[16:37] says that he did also evil in the eyes

[16:40] Lord so because of his evil uh the Lord

[16:44] brought judgment upon him and Ela comes

[16:47] the next king Ela Reigns for a few years

[16:50] and the Bible says that he did evil in

[16:52] the eyes of the Lord and in fact there

[16:55] was a time period after two years that

[16:56] he was getting drunk with wine

[16:59] and he was killed murdered while getting

[17:02] drunk with wine and all of his family

[17:06] was killed all of his

[17:09] descendants zimy now he takes over and

[17:13] zy is the one who killed Ela and zimy he

[17:16] does evil in the eyes of the

[17:18] Lord and the nation comes against him

[17:23] and they gather around and they send

[17:25] soldiers to the city of tenth and

[17:50] the guys that committed murder the guys

[18:05] Ahab takes over and the Bible says that

[18:21] top of that the Bible says he married

[18:22] Jezebel and that that was even

[18:25] worse so ahab's this wicked King and

[18:27] we've had Generations after generation

[18:29] after generation of

[18:32] wickedness and there's been some

[18:34] prophets along the way hananiah J that

[18:38] have prophesied against them but one day

[18:41] King Ahab sitting in his Palace and in

[18:43] walks

[18:46] Elijah walks into the king's

[18:49] Palace looks at King Ahab and we find

[18:52] what he says in verse number

[18:54] one he comes in and he says as the Lord

[18:57] God of Israel liveth be before whom I

[18:59] stand there shall not be due nor rain

[19:06] right after he gives the message that

[19:08] God told him to deliver God gives him a

[19:12] out so imagine Ahab sitting here Elijah

[19:17] comes in he says God says there's not

[19:18] going to be any r as long as according

[19:20] to my word bye and he

[19:24] left and he goes out so God's in the

[19:28] process of getting ahab's attention and

[19:30] for three and a half years there's no

[19:33] rain and at the end of three and a half

[19:35] years we're going to have a mount carel

[19:38] experience but for right now Elijah is

[19:41] not ready to stand on Mount Carmel and

[19:44] pray down fire from heaven

[19:47] yet God's got to do some working in

[19:50] Elijah to help him be ready to stand at

[19:53] Mount Carmel one

[19:55] day now it's interesting the meaning of

[19:58] words words as you look at the brook

[20:00] that he sends him to the brook cherith

[20:04] cherith means cutting

[20:09] away so God sent Elijah to a brook to do

[20:14] some cutting away of some

[20:16] things so I want you to notice as we

[20:19] drive travel through the chapter tonight

[20:21] and see what God has for

[20:23] us verse number two the word of the Lord

[20:26] came unto him saying get the hint and

[20:29] turn thee Eastward and hide thyself by

[21:17] land so we start off God's attempting to

[21:19] get ahab's attention and he sends Elijah

[21:21] and he promises I'm going to provide for

[21:25] Elijah I'm going to take care of you

[21:29] I want you to go to the brook cherith

[21:30] now where cherith is located is a is a

[21:33] rural region it's not a populated area

[21:38] it's an area you kind of go out on

[21:40] purpose to be out away from everybody

[21:43] else and that's what God did with Elijah

[21:46] he sends him to the brook cherith and he

[21:48] goes there he says when you get there

[21:52] you're going to drink of the brook so

[21:53] I'm going to provide you water and while

[21:56] you're there Raven

[21:59] are going to bring you bread and flesh

[22:00] in the morning and bread and flesh in

[22:03] the evening that's not

[22:06] normal this is not the first instance of

[22:09] door

[22:13] Eats but God used a dirty bird and a

[22:17] raven to break their

[22:21] nature and use them to help nourish the

[22:25] Prophet

[22:26] Elijah so God provides for Elijah

[22:34] food and a testing of his

[22:53] happens the brook dried up

[23:01] so when he gets there there's a brook

[23:04] flowing but one day the Brook's not

[23:17] nothing and Elijah watch this has to sit

[23:21] and wait to see what God's going to

[23:27] do and it through his

[23:29] faith now I don't know about you some of

[23:31] us might be tempted to say all right um

[23:35] water's getting low I need to move from

[23:40] here because sometimes we look at things

[23:44] and we make decisions to act or to

[23:49] respond based upon what we see and not

[23:53] what he

[23:56] sees so God's provided wrting all of

[23:58] these things and he's testing Elijah's

[24:02] Faith now we don't know how long it took

[24:06] for the brook to dry up we know that

[24:09] from when he arrives at the brook until

[24:11] Mount Carmel it's three and a half years

[24:14] we don't know how long he's here at the

[24:15] brook we don't know how long he's there

[24:17] with the widow woman but we know that

[24:19] God provided every step of the way look

[24:22] at verse three if you

[24:24] would get thee hint turn thee Eastward

[24:27] and hide thyself by the brook Chariot

[24:29] that is before Jordan and it shall be

[24:31] that thou shalt drink of the Brook and I

[24:34] have commanded the Ravens to feed thee

[24:36] there so he went and did according to

[24:40] the word of the Lord for he went and

[25:31] drop it's a bird with two

[25:33] claws watch this it's enough for the

[25:37] morning and it's enough for the evening

[25:39] to get him through the night and then

[25:42] the next day it's enough for the morning

[25:45] and it's enough for the evening to get

[25:47] him through the night and the next day

[25:49] and the next day and then he goes here

[25:51] and later on in the chapter to zarif and

[25:54] guess what he gets enough for that day

[25:59] and the meal doesn't run out and the oil

[26:01] doesn't run out and then the next day

[26:04] it's still enough it is still enough

[26:07] because everything that God does is

[26:11] enough he doesn't have to give you

[26:14] excess he doesn't have to pour it out

[26:18] us when he does it's a blessing

[26:25] would he give us just enough so that we

[26:28] can trust him for just

[26:32] enough because if we got can you imagine

[26:35] if Elijah was sitting there and all of a

[26:37] sudden a whole sheep got delivered by a

[26:41] raven he's good for the week but God

[26:45] didn't do

[26:46] that bread and flesh in the morning

[26:49] bread and flesh in the

[26:51] evening day after day after day after

[26:56] day after day and he is drinking from

[26:58] the brook bread and flesh in the morning

[27:01] bread and flesh in the evening and the

[27:04] brook then he's getting bread in the

[27:07] morning and flesh in the morning bread

[27:10] and flesh in the evening but the water

[27:11] supply is getting

[27:15] lower and the water's getting

[27:17] lower and the water's getting

[27:21] lower and the Brooks drying

[27:24] up and he

[27:27] knows still a famine in the land he

[27:30] doesn't know how long watch this he

[27:32] doesn't know how long the famine is

[27:34] going to last the drought's going to

[27:37] continue he doesn't know how

[27:41] long but as he watches the brook dry

[27:45] up it goes from a flowing Brook down to

[27:48] a trickle but guess what's happening

[27:51] bread and flesh in the morning bread and

[27:53] flesh in the evening he gets down to a

[27:56] small puddle but he's getting bread and

[27:59] flesh in the morning and bread and flesh

[28:02] in the evening it gets down to just a

[28:05] little bitty bit but what's he getting

[28:08] bread and flesh in the morning and bread

[28:10] and flesh eat you may not always get

[28:13] what you want but God will always give

[28:16] you what you

[28:20] need we don't always know how it's going

[28:22] to

[28:25] happen I'm going to talk about what to

[28:27] do when the Brook drives up but before

[28:29] we do Faith the testing of

[28:33] faith I I think about men in this world

[28:37] who give us a an

[28:40] example of living a life by faith and

[28:44] one of those is George

[28:46] Mueller George Mueller had multiple

[28:49] orphanages and one of them had 300

[28:53] children that morning they woke up and

[28:56] there was no food in the pantry

[28:58] there was no food to feed the children

[29:01] and Mueller had been praying that God

[29:03] would provide and he had faith that God

[29:06] was going to provide so he told all 300

[29:09] children I want you to sit down at the

[29:12] table I want you to give thanks to God

[29:14] for the

[29:15] food there's no food on the table

[29:19] there's nothing

[29:21] there but the staff of the orphanage and

[29:23] George muther gathered them in and 300

[29:25] of them sat down and said God we thank

[29:27] you for the the

[29:29] food and while they were

[29:32] praying a knock at the door it was a

[29:35] local

[29:36] Baker he said God kept me up all night

[29:40] and when I got to the shop this morning

[29:41] I knew I needed to make three extra

[29:43] batches of bread and I got them here for

[29:46] you and here's three extra batches of

[29:49] bread and George said thank you for the

[29:51] bread and he gave it to the staff and

[29:53] they begin to pass it out to the

[29:54] children and just as they begin to pass

[29:57] it out

[29:59] the Milkman had drove past in his milk

[30:02] cart and the wheel came

[30:05] off and he said Mr Mueller by the time I

[30:09] get my my wheel fixed this milk's going

[30:12] to go

[30:13] bad do you want

[30:17] it yeah we'll take it and all the

[30:20] children that day had bread and milk

[30:24] from

[30:25] God God provided it just just on

[30:30] time not only did Mueller continue in a

[30:33] life of faith and

[30:35] prayer but as each child grew to a

[30:37] certain age he would give them a Bible

[30:39] in their left hand and a coin in their

[30:42] right hand on their last day at the

[30:45] orphanage as they went out into the

[30:47] world and this is what George Mueller

[30:50] said he said if you will take care of

[30:53] the left

[30:54] hand God will take care of the right

[30:57] hand

[30:59] if you'll take care of the left hand God

[31:02] will take care of the right hand and

[31:04] their left hand was the word of God if

[31:06] you keep your heart and right life right

[31:08] with God and you're living with God and

[31:10] you're reading his word and you're

[31:11] trusting in Him you'll take care of the

[31:15] right he says i' never seen the

[31:17] righteous forsaken nor his seed begging

[31:20] bread and those young people went out

[31:22] into the world knowing that God can for

[31:26] life

[31:28] so before he got to mount carel and he

[31:31] prayed fire down from heaven he's got a

[31:36] increasing his

[31:38] faith so what do you do when the brook

[31:41] dries

[31:43] up in the circumstances of life when you

[31:46] see things that get you

[31:48] concerned and you don't know how God's

[31:50] going to do it and you don't know what

[31:57] starts drying up stay

[32:01] faithful just stay where God's told you

[32:11] water and left to go find water and you

[32:16] and I say I can't blame him the water's

[32:18] drying up the Brook's drying up but what

[32:21] did God say he told the

[32:23] Ravens did God say he told the Ravens to

[32:27] feed Elijah

[32:29] or did God say I told the Ravens to feed

[33:42] there he didn't question the direction

[33:46] of God he said he didn't say God why do

[34:28] circumstances and we think to ourselves

[34:37] the morning and you spend a little time

[34:40] in God's word I don't know getting fed

[34:43] from the word of God in your morning it

[34:47] might help you to deal with the brook

[34:49] drying up if you got fed in the

[34:54] morning and then before you went to bed

[34:57] you spent some time praying and talking

[34:59] to God it might help

[35:02] you when the brook starts drying

[35:06] up instead of

[35:09] complaining let's keep

[35:12] trusting and keep

[35:15] praying so when the brook dries up stay

[35:17] faithful when the brook dries up keep

[35:19] listening to God number three when the

[35:21] brook Brook ddes up obey the voice of

[37:22] it got Bible college students getting

[37:24] ready to go back to Bible College I

[37:25] don't know how I'm going to do it

[37:28] listen to the voice of God do what God's

[37:31] called you to do stay faithful remember

[37:35] God knows what he is

[37:38] doing stay where God told you to stay be

[37:41] where God told you to be and do what God

[37:43] told you to do and leave the results up

[37:45] to

[37:49] God but God is very

[37:52] much wanting participation

[37:59] God told Elijah go there God didn't

[38:02] transport Elijah there watch this God

[38:05] told Elijah to go there so Elijah had to

[38:09] take the steps to go where God told him

[38:12] to

[38:13] go God had told Elijah I want you to go

[38:16] there he had to take the steps he had to

[38:18] take the walk he had to go to the place

[38:20] and he had to sit there to

[38:22] stay and in our lives in trusting God

[38:26] and wanting to have mount caral

[38:28] experiences where we can pray down fire

[38:30] from heaven and see God work in a mighty

[38:31] mighty way God may take you to a cherith

[38:35] moment where he's cutting away some

[38:37] things I think about Moses and he spent

[38:40] 40 years on the back side of the desert

[38:42] before God put him in front of the

[38:44] nation of Israel to lead them out of

[38:46] Egypt I think about Joseph before he got

[38:49] to the Palace to be second and command

[38:52] he had to go through the prison and he

[38:54] had to go through

[38:56] slavery see there's some chth moments

[38:59] where God's cutting away some things in

[39:01] your life maybe God's cutting away your

[39:04] self-dependence and wanting to replace

[39:06] it with God

[39:08] Reliance maybe God's cutting away some

[39:11] laziness in your spirit in order to

[39:13] replace it with being steadfast and

[39:15] unmovable and always abounding in the

[39:18] work of the Lord maybe you can't have

[39:20] Mount caral experiences yet because God

[39:23] still got to do some

[39:25] trimming got to do some cutting

[39:31] and it's

[39:33] uncomfortable when God's at

[39:36] work and you don't know what he's

[39:40] doing

[39:42] sometimes God does not give

[39:45] you the whole

[39:48] plan instead it's day by day trusting in

[39:53] Him Now Elijah got the whole plan you

[39:56] stay there

[39:58] and I'm going to bring bread and flesh

[39:59] in the morning bread and flesh in the

[40:01] evening and I'm going to you're going to

[40:04] drink of the brook but the brook got

[40:07] shorter the brook got less the brook got

[40:10] less the brook got less and Elijah could

[40:13] have questioned God Elijah could have

[40:15] taken action himself said I got to make

[40:17] it work but instead he just stayed where

[40:21] God told him to

[40:25] stay and when the brook completely dried

[40:27] up God said all right get up and

[40:32] move so while you're waiting on God for

[40:36] the next

[40:38] destination pay attention to stay

[40:40] faithful to God pay attention to keep

[40:44] listening to God pay attention to keep

[40:47] obeying

[40:49] God and remember God knows what he's

[40:54] doing don't get ahead of God

[40:58] don't fall behind God stay in step with

[41:04] God how does that happen day by day

[41:08] walking and talking with

[41:11] God walking through his word talking to

[41:14] him in

[41:17] prayer you may say I need the next 40

[41:20] days God says you get the next 40

[41:25] seconds because if I gave you the 4 days

[41:28] you couldn't handle

[41:30] it so I only give you a little

[41:33] bit but if you'll recognize God only

[41:36] gives me the little that he gives me so

[41:38] that I'll learn to depend upon him then

[41:41] one day God may say all right now it's

[41:42] time to go to the

[41:45] mountain now it's time to stand before

[41:47] 800

[41:48] prophets and pray fire down from

[41:52] heaven now it's time to go into a little

[41:55] village and see a widow woman that I've

[41:56] prepared preped to feed thee and tell

[41:59] her God's got

[42:03] this I don't think Elijah would have got

[42:05] to mount carel I think he'd have

[42:07] struggled with the widow woman if he

[42:09] hadn't had a brook cheriff

[42:13] moment in your life there are moments

[42:16] where God wants to cut away things that

[42:18] need cut away to get you ready for what

[42:21] God wants to do

[42:26] this today I made a lot of phone calls

[42:29] sent text messages to people who've been

[42:30] in the hospital people who been sick

[42:32] spend a lot of time checking on people

[42:36] today I'm

[42:38] reminded of a brook cherith moment in my

[42:42] life that happened almost 11 years ago

[42:46] now where I found out I had to have that

[42:49] first spinal surgery I can tell you I I

[42:51] was young I was in my early 30s I

[42:54] thought I was invincible

[42:57] I'm not going to get hurt I'm

[43:00] fine went to the doctor passed the

[43:02] physical every year everything's

[43:06] good well then in a

[43:08] moment God said I got to do some

[43:12] cutting today I talked to people who are

[43:14] going through physical

[43:16] therapy and I said to them I can

[43:19] empathize I

[43:22] understand I talked to Miss Judy today

[43:25] and I said to her I said well you got

[43:27] too many people praying for you for you

[43:29] not to put in the work sound

[43:34] familiar when I was 31 years

[43:37] old I couldn't empathize as much as I

[43:40] can

[43:42] now why because God did some cutting

[43:44] away to Humble me to make me more usable

[43:50] for what God wanted to

[43:52] do in the future of my life and

[43:55] sometimes you will to God God won't have

[43:59] to do a physical cutting he can do a

[44:01] spiritual

[44:03] cutting but God use the surgeries that

[44:07] I've had the three spinal surgeries to

[44:10] help me be able to encourage

[44:14] others I was on the phone today with

[44:16] multiple people preacher you know what

[44:17] it's like you know what it's like yeah I

[44:19] know what it's like you can do

[44:22] this you can do this for God's help you

[44:24] can do this we're praying for you

[44:28] just like you were praying for me pray

[44:29] for I talked to a guy today was battling

[44:31] some discouragement so I'm on the phone

[44:34] hey when I was in the hospital you came

[44:37] and talked to me guess what my turn

[44:43] now how would that happen because God

[44:45] brought me through a brook chair at the

[44:48] moment and God wants to do some things

[44:50] in our church in

[44:52] 2025 and some of you right now guess

[44:54] where God's got you he's got you at the

[44:55] brook

[44:57] he's got you

[44:59] there and he's saying

[45:02] stay

[45:04] stay stay watch what I'm gonna do stay

[45:08] just stay there I'll feed you I'll

[45:11] clothe you I'll take care of you and

[45:13] then when you're

[45:15] ready I'm going to move

[45:17] you and I'm going to use you like you

[45:21] never thought you could be used before

[45:23] but right now stay waiting at the bre

[45:27] stay humble and listening to the voice

[45:30] of God and keep trusting that God's got

[45:34] something in the morning he wants to

[45:36] deliver to you and God's got something

[45:38] in the evening that he wants to deliver

[45:40] to

[45:42] you I don't know if you recognize it in

[45:44] your

[45:45] life if you wake up God has something in

[45:49] his word for you that

[45:54] day as a Believer the holy spirit of God

[45:58] wants to direct you into his word he has

[46:01] something for you that day personalized

[46:05] delivery in other words we could say it

[46:07] this way you got

[46:08] mail God just wants you to open up his

[46:11] word and read

[46:13] it and at the end of your day guess what

[46:16] God's got something for you it maybe

[46:19] through a sweet time of prayer that he

[46:21] reassures your

[46:23] heart he confirms what he's doing in

[46:26] your life

[46:27] or just talking to God throughout the

[46:29] day getting your heart right with him

[46:32] keep your sin account at

[46:35] zero God searches your heart and reveals

[46:37] you got sin get it

[46:39] right don't continue in

[49:46] rehabilitated from having that ankle and

[49:48] dislocation and so you pray for Miss

[49:53] today she got up on her foot five times

[49:56] times they got her standing on her foot

[49:58] five times still really rough hard to do

[50:01] but she was able to do that today so

[50:03] continue to pray for her and Saturday is

[50:06] her birthday she turns 80 on Saturday

[50:12] note or something you know give her a

[50:14] call let her know happy birthday and be

[50:19] that the windborne family uh continue to

[50:23] pray for them Hannah uh their second

[50:26] daughter uh is battling covid and

[50:29] pneumonia and she's also been diagnosed

[50:31] with asthma and so battling covid and

[50:35] pneumonia and having asthma makes it

[50:37] much difficult to get over that so

[50:40] please pray for Hannah Nathan their

[50:44] their son Nathan has a rash that broke

[50:46] out all over his face that he is going

[50:49] to the dermatologist to see what's going

[50:51] on there so pray for

[50:52] Nathan um Abigail still battling

[50:55] seizures their whole family had

[50:57] pneumonia um many of them are starting

[51:00] the two youngest are getting better

[51:02] already they were the first two to catch

[51:03] it brother Derek broke out in a rash on

[51:06] his arm that's similar to one that

[51:08] Nathan has so he's also going to see the

[51:11] dermatologist and then continue to pray

[51:13] for Miss Brandy she has pneumonia in

[51:16] both lungs in the upper and the lower

[51:19] cavities of both lungs a double kidney

[51:21] infection and then tomorrow I believe is

[51:24] her 12 WE Post visit to hopefully get

[51:28] cleared to go back to full everything

[51:32] else she's been on major restrictions

[51:34] since the surgery so really pray for

[51:36] them lot going on in their life um it's

[51:40] good to have Isaiah and Tabitha and them

[51:42] back and their little ones were sick

[51:44] Sunday but glad they're doing better

[51:46] thankful for that would encourage you to

[51:49] pray for emberlin and pronounce her name

[51:52] right for me one time so I hear it from

[51:55] you brenley all right so pray for

[51:58] brenley uh brenley was getting tested

[52:00] for a rare uh disorder and had that

[52:04] third test today and we don't have

[52:06] results yet right so it could be the

[52:08] first part of next week I think is what

[52:10] my wife said Monday and so pray for that

[52:14] um that that disorder makes it very hard

[52:17] for brenley to eat any fats or anything

[52:19] like that and if it's a certain stage of

[52:23] it it can be very very very very serious

[52:27] and so please pray for those test

[52:29] results and then pray for em as a first

[52:32] time Mom that's really stressful when

[52:34] you're newborn is dealing with things

[52:36] and so pray for her as well we greatly

[52:40] appreciate that the head family have uh

[52:43] still battling sickness uh they had some

[52:45] that were feeling a little bit better

[52:47] today and then we're later on this

[52:49] afternoon still not doing well so Mary

[52:51] stie Wy all three of them are battling

[52:54] sickness so you pray for all three them

[52:57] today then pray pray for them as well

[53:01] and then uh also as I mentioned Miss

[53:04] Judy continue to pray for her Pat case

[53:07] started chemotherapy pills today and so

[53:11] she had her first dose today and so pray

[53:14] for Miss Pat case that this uh the side

[53:17] effects will be limited and that it will

[53:20] shrink and kill the cancer and so you

[53:22] pray for her um the courtnees were

[53:25] battling sickness on Sunday continue to

[53:27] pray for them and that they'll get

[53:29] better brother John Harris and Miss

[53:31] Julie are doing better uh they both had

[53:33] bronchitis on Sunday and so they are

[53:36] improving so continue to pray for the

[53:37] harrises I pray for some of their

[53:39] grandkids they've also had sickness and

[53:42] some of their grandkids this week so

[53:44] pray for them as well we greatly

[53:47] appreciate that also pray for Brother

[53:50] Rick Franklin he had knee replacement

[53:52] surgery on Friday uh he is home and but

[53:56] he is in a lot of uncomfortable moments

[54:00] and so he started I think he had a

[54:03] therapy session today they came over and

[54:05] told him some things to do so he's

[54:06] trying to work on that but be in prayer

[54:08] for him as he's recovering from knee

[54:11] replacement also Miss Donna who broke

[54:13] her toe pray for her as she recovers I

[54:17] told Brother Rick I think he tripped her

[54:19] and caused it to happen he said he

[54:20] didn't it was something else and so but

[54:23] pray for both of them as they recover

[54:26] and they get better and so pray for them

[54:29] if you would it's good to have the

[54:31] sniders back and happy anniversary to

[54:33] them as well and so thankful for them

[54:36] they got away on Sunday so glad they got

[54:38] it back safely pray for them pray for

[54:40] Miss Sharon ship she's down in her back

[54:43] and dealing with some issues there so

[54:45] pray for Miss Sharon we greatly

[54:47] appreciate that Tisha Minar which is

[54:50] Mary R's daughter ended up in the

[54:52] hospital her C-section uh split open

[54:56] words and was bleeding profusely they

[54:58] repacked that got that cleaned out and

[55:01] then also put a pain patch in there so

[55:03] pray for her uh update I got this

[55:06] afternoon she's doing much better but

[55:08] continue to pray for Tisha if you would

[55:11] continue to pray for Brady right Brady's

[55:13] just been hurting a lot dealing with a

[55:15] lot of pain and you so you pray for

[55:17] brother Brady we encourage you to pray

[55:20] for him continue to pray for all the

[55:22] other requests that we have going on in

[55:24] our church and other needs that are

[57:05] there's no water in the fire hydrant and

[57:07] so they're battling water shortages I

[57:16] gusting winds and causing lots of

[57:18] problems there I have not heard uh if

[57:21] there's anyone that Associates with our

[57:23] church or anything like that that has

[57:25] Church that's been damaged yet but we'll

[57:29] those um continue to pray for the Malone

[57:32] family Miss Kathy's last uh oldest

[57:36] relative uh passed away they drove up to

[57:38] Kansas yesterday for the funeral and so

[57:41] be in prayer for the Malone family as

[57:44] they're traveling back God will keep

[57:46] them safe on the roads as well and then

[57:52] um yes they are back they got back

[57:55] Monday

[57:56] uh the most recent update is he is mgs's

[58:00] father-in-law for those that don't know

[58:02] had a stroke and then had to have a

[58:05] craniotomy done on Thursday where they

[58:07] drilled a hole and relieved the pressure

[58:09] um he is up and moving around he's in a

[58:11] regular room and they are planning on we

[58:14] don't know when yet they're planning on

[58:16] maybe later this week or next week

[58:18] letting him go home and doing therapy at

[58:21] home with him and so pray for Mrs

[58:25] Garza's father and then um couple uh I

[58:30] have two uh unspoken requests that were

[58:33] sent to me today um to pray for some

[58:36] people having some issues in their lives

[58:39] uh in their marriages that are extended

[58:41] family of people in our church so you

[58:43] pray for those uh having issues God

[58:46] knows their name and knows what they

[58:48] need and so you be in prayer for that

[58:51] all right any other prayer requests

[59:07] Bryson is home from the hospital and so

[59:10] he is doing somewhat better so continue

[59:17] hospital uh he has childhood asthma and

[59:21] so the breathing treatments sometimes

[59:23] are not working and so they've had to

[59:25] take him back fourth so continue to pray

[59:29] kubiski her mom whose name is Billy has

[59:35] had stomach cancer and will be having

[59:37] surgery on the 22nd to remove a tumor

[59:40] and part of her stomach and so I

[59:43] continue to pray for Billy that's

[59:45] Kathy's mom and Kyle's grandmother and

[59:48] so be in prayer for them as

[59:51] well and see anything else here

[60:09] also for our prayer Focus for the month

[60:12] of January is the eleno city council and

[60:16] so we're praying for the city council

[60:18] the month of January and so we'll have a

[60:21] Graphic for that Lord willing this

[60:22] weekend uh with that in mind pray for

[60:25] the Underwood was they've had little

[60:26] ones sick and been battling that they

[60:29] still had some that are running low

[60:30] grade fevers and so continue to pray for

[60:32] the Underwoods as they've got kiddos

[60:34] that have been sick and they're trying

[60:36] to get well so pray for the Underwoods

[60:39] as well we'd appreciate that but uh last

[60:42] night was a tough night for the eleno

[60:45] city council

[60:49] eleno decided to Annex some regions

[60:52] around and put it in emergency status

[60:55] and so

[60:56] not the best way to do that caused a lot

[60:59] of upheaval um there was a couple

[61:02] hundred people after the meeting last

[61:04] night I began to watch the live stream

[61:07] at five o'clock yesterday and I finished

[61:10] watching the live stream at

[61:12] 118 last night and so there was uh

[61:16] verbal threats made to the city council

[61:19] they had to remove some people by police

[61:22] um council members were called all sorts

[61:25] of names EV things terrible things and

[61:28] so I had reached out to one of the

[61:31] members of the council last night at

[61:33] 11:30 texted them told them I was

[61:36] praying for them talking with them and

[61:38] sent them a message and at 2:30 when

[61:41] they finally got home they responded

[61:44] back and just pray for our city council

[61:47] a lot of hatred and a lot of anger um

[61:51] but they were trying to work on behalf

[61:53] of those people so really pray uh for

[61:55] the people

[61:56] and then also the city council um really

[61:59] tough time right now and so when people

[62:03] that you know uh personally get called

[62:07] all sorts of terrible names and their

[62:09] characters questioned and all of that

[62:11] stuff it very hard and they had to sit

[62:14] there and take it for six hours and just

[62:17] very none of them get paid they're all

[62:19] volunteers and so really be in prayer

[62:22] and a lot of the stuff that people are

[62:23] upset about is in this council's fault a

[62:27] lot of them were brand new to the

[62:28] council trying to fix things from the

[62:30] past year so really pray for our city

[62:32] council we greatly appreciate that

[62:34] there're a prayer Focus for the month of

[62:36] January also want to encourage you we're

[62:38] starting a new ministry in February uh

[62:41] River Oak Nursing Home is allow us to go

[62:44] in on Thursday night starting at 6:30

[62:47] we're going to be having a service there

[62:49] on Thursday nights at 6:30 and so I'll

[62:51] be talking with some of you about

[62:53] helping out and getting involved in that

[62:54] and that's going to be a great

[62:55] opportunity and if you'd like to be

[62:57] involved in that please let me know but

[62:59] that's going to be starting in the first

[63:01] week of February and we're excited for

[63:04] that opportunity to be a blessing to

[63:05] them got some folks that have already

[63:07] expressed interest in uh playing the

[63:10] piano and singing and just bringing some

[63:12] excitement to the nursing home uh right

[63:16] one that goes in during the week and

[63:19] shares the gospel with them and so he

[63:21] goes in on Mondays at 1:30 and we're

[63:23] going to start Thursday nights at 6 6:30

[63:26] we'll go 6:30 to 7:30 and so you be in

[63:29] prayer for that Ministry if you'd like

[64:27] that evening service and so we'll have

[64:29] opportunity to examine that and get that

[64:31] approved and adopt that into our church

[65:14] Patty case and her battle with cancer

[65:17] and the new medications and for the

[65:19] windborn family and the very much that

[65:22] they're under right now Lord I pray you

[65:24] give them some relief there some help to

[65:26] get them back to some better health Lord

[65:29] we pray for brother Franklin as he's had

[65:31] knee replacement surgery that you'd help

[65:33] his recovery and his therapy we pray for

[65:35] Miss Judy as she's moved over to Baptist

[65:38] Village as she starts her therapy and

[65:40] Rehabilitation Time Lord that she can

[65:42] get back to her strength that she

[65:45] needs Lord we pray for the ones that

[65:47] have lost family members and had

[65:49] funerals this week and Lord that you

[65:51] give them traveling mercies and we pray

[65:54] for our college students our Bible

[65:55] college students as they had back this

[65:57] week and get registered Lord that you'd

[66:00] help them and give them the strength

[66:02] that they need for this next semester uh

[66:04] Lord we pray for um emin's daughter Brin

[66:09] and the test results there Lord and Lord

[66:12] we we are trusting you and putting her

[66:14] in your hands and Lord we pray that

[66:17] you'd calm emin's fears and worries Lord

[66:19] and be a the God of All Comfort to hurt

[66:22] Lord we pray for the many many requests

[66:25] that have been made mention of for the

[66:27] families for those that have been

[66:28] traveling for the those that have family

[66:31] members in the hospital Lord you know

[66:33] their names you know the needs Lord I

[66:35] think especially of the two uh unspoken

[66:38] requests that were given to me today

[66:41] Lord the one especially dealing with uh

[66:43] their family relationship Lord I pray

[66:45] you'd help them that you'd soften hearts

[66:48] and work in a mighty way in that

[66:51] situation Lord I pray that you'd be

[66:53] honored and glorified in all that's said

[66:54] and done

[66:56] Lord I'm thankful for each and everyone

[66:58] that's here tonight give us safety as we

[66:59] travel home protect us through the

[67:02] weather this weekend Lord Lord we pray

[67:05] for those in California tonight that are

[67:07] have lost their homes or have lost

[67:09] family

[67:10] members Lord I pray that you'd be

[67:13] helpful be a comfort be merciful there

[67:18] Lord we pray for the firefighters and

[67:20] the National Guard who's been called in

[67:22] Lord that you'd protect them and help

[67:24] them as they come about the things that

[67:26] are happening in California Lord we pray

[67:29] for the eleno city council and each one

[67:31] of those members Lord I pray you help

[67:34] them and give them wisdom and

[67:36] discernment as we've gone through this

[67:38] annexation process and Lord as they make

[67:41] it public and the the turmoil that

[67:45] people are having in their lives Lord I

[67:47] pray you'd help Supply the needs that

[67:49] need to be met wisdom and Grace help

[67:53] those that are on the counsel that faced

[67:56] a

[67:57] tremendous assault verbally yesterday

[68:00] Lord that you would comfort them and

[68:03] help them Lord Lord I pray tonight that

[68:06] as we go our separate ways before we lay

[68:08] our head down on our pillow we'll spend

[68:10] time praying communicating with you Lord

[68:14] you help us all to wake up in the

[68:16] morning ready to receive the bread and

[68:18] flesh from the word of God that you have

[68:20] for us in the morning Lord we're

[68:23] thankful for the chth moments in our

[68:25] lives

[70:40] brother Garza that his class will be a

[70:43] Wonderful class as it always is we are

[70:46] thankful that they made it back home

[70:47] safely and be with sister G Gaz Garza's

[70:52] father who is hopefully getting to go

[70:55] home home soon we pray father for the

[70:58] wilburs that they will continue to uh

[71:02] get better uh I know it's a hard time

[71:04] right now for them but we pray father

[71:06] that we might continue to always pray

[71:08] for them and let them know how much

[71:09] they're missed we also pray for the wri

[71:12] family and all that's been going on

[71:14] there with their daughter and we pray

[71:15] father that that continues to get better

[71:20] uh she will continue to get better as

[71:26] that have been very sick this week we

[71:31] head's mother Sue that she continues to

[71:34] better we pray father for um the uh

[71:39] Council of elino the city council that

[71:43] they will be able to endure what they're

[71:45] going through and that uh there'll be a

[71:48] reason in the end of it all that

[71:49] everybody will understand that you are

[71:51] behind

[71:52] everything we also pray for our nation

[71:55] father with the upcoming changes in the

[71:57] government that you would be the guide

[71:58] in all of this and that uh much good
