[0:00] A great day tomorrow. We'll see you
[0:02] tomorrow night. Good night. Good night.
[0:12] [Music]
[0:16] ABC News and Channel 2 News recognized
[0:19] as the leader in television news.
[0:22] Tomorrow morning at 6, join Dan

[0:30] [Music]
[0:33] December 20th, 1994.
[0:37] >> It was production. Production.
[0:40] Production.
[0:41] Safety. Safety was a word. It wasn't
[0:45] really practiced.
[0:47] >> For decades, it produced nuclear weapons
[0:49] to protect the United States.
[0:52] >> This is where we manufactured the

[1:28] >> Tonight, the most dangerous building in
[1:30] America seen from the inside.
[1:42] This is ABC News Night Line.
[1:44] Substituting for Ted Copel and reporting
[1:46] from Washington, Ki Roberts.
[1:50] The case of Karen Silkwood, one young
[1:53] woman contaminated by plutonium, shocked
[1:56] the country when a movie was made about
[1:57] her life. But what's happening now in
[1:59] nuclear weapons plants around the
[2:01] country is more shocking still. Tons of
[2:04] radioactive waste threatened to
[2:06] contaminate not just workers in their
[2:08] plants,
