[0:00] We are going to return now to that
[0:01] breaking news story in Somerset County,
[0:04] Pennsylvania, where nine minors are
[0:06] being rescued at this hour. You're
[0:08] looking at live pictures now. They've
[0:10] brought the third minor up. There are
[0:12] nine of them down there. They've been
[0:13] down there for 3 days and the amazing
[0:16] news tonight is that all nine still
[0:18] alive and they're all reportedly in good
[0:20] health. Now, the shaft is about 240 ft
[0:24] deep. The miners became trapped down
[0:26] there when uh they ran into an abandoned
[0:28] mine and apparently uh the walls
[0:29] collapsed around them.
[0:32] Crews used a couple of giant drills and
[0:34] they worked for more than 72 frustrating
[0:37] hours trying to reach these miners

[0:44] one, which was a a 10-hour process. But
[0:46] finally tonight, after three days of
[0:48] difficult work, they have found these
[0:50] men amazingly alive.
[0:58] Pennsylvania's governor has been very
[0:59] involved in this rescue process and
[1:01] earlier today he informed the families
[1:03] about how the miners are doing. They
[1:06] found out that they were safe and alive
[1:07] by lowering a telephone down a shaft
[1:10] that they had drilled to the miners and
[1:12] apparently one of the miners was able to
[1:13] get that phone and uh respond call back
[1:16] up to say that they were all nine down
[1:18] there. that one of the miners was
[1:20] complaining of some chest pains. So,
[1:22] they did bring him up first and they
