[0:02] Good evening. This is the CBS Evening
[0:04] News. Dan Rather reporting. A new
[0:06] dimension in hostage terror unfolding
[0:08] tonight off the coast of Alexandria,
[0:11] Egypt. A Palestine Liberation
[0:13] Organization Commando team reportedly
[0:15] has seized an Italian cruise ship with
[0:18] about 400 people on board in the
[0:20] Mediterranean Sea. Whether there are any
[0:22] Americans on board the ship is not
[0:24] known. Italian foreign ministry

[1:08] to President Reagan's move to get one of
[1:11] his favorite constitutional amendments
[1:12] passed. A move that has some in Congress
[1:15] ready to raise the roof. Phil Jones
[1:17] reports. For federal workers around the
[1:20] nation, the good news tonight is that
[1:22] they won't be laid off tomorrow. Even
[1:24] though the government could be out of
[1:26] borrowing power any moment. And from
[1:28] Treasury today came a letter hedging on
[1:30] just when the governm
