[0:02] reports.
[0:04] With more high-tech underwater
[0:06] reinforcements deployed out of the crash
[0:08] site, investigators hope the search for
[0:10] the elusive black boxes can now be more
[0:12] aggressive. After combing the ocean
[0:14] floor for more than 10 hours over the
[0:16] weekend, the Navy's underwater robot was
[0:18] unable to locate either of the 767's
[0:21] voice or data recorders. Its ship, the
[0:23] USS Grapple, was finally forced to
[0:25] return to land to refuel and stock up on
[0:28] supplies. But, this second submersible
[0:31] is smaller, more maneuverable than the
[0:33] drone used by the US Navy, and is

[0:57] visibility is less than 5 ft.
[1:00] Our mission here is to uh bring this to
[1:02] closure as quickly as possible, uh but
[1:04] not to hazard any of the civilian
[1:06] mariners or sailors who are on station
[1:08] conducting this operation.
[1:10] The Grapple, along with a host of other
[1:11] ships, will soon be rejoining the search
[1:13] effort, and the hope is to have both
[1:15] underwater robots in operation by
[1:17] Tuesday afternoon, doubling the chances
[1:19] of finding the recorders, still the best
[1:21] clue as to what may have happened more
[1:23] than a week ago.
[1:25] Both recorders may lie only abo
