[0:42] Center good evening today for the last
[0:46] time America reached for the heavens
[0:48] with its space shuttle Atlantis the last
[0:51] in the fleet roared a loft on a tower of
[0:54] flame the
[0:56] 135th shuttle launch over 30 years an
[1:00] ending to what is perhaps the greatest
[1:02] engineering achievement of all time but
[1:06] this day was bittersweet because many
[1:08] people who shared in that achievement
[1:10] and depended on the shuttle for their
[1:12] livelihood will soon be out of work in
[1:15] the toughest job market in decades these
[1:17] are the numbers that brought the country
[1:20] back down to Earth today the labor
[1:22] department reported that the economy
[1:24] created only
[1:25] 18,000 jobs last month and with that the
[1:29] unemployment ENT rate Rose to
[1:32] 99.2% the highest since December Anthony
[1:35] Mason begins our coverage for more than
[1:38] 14 million unemployed Americans June was
[1:41] a discouraging
[1:43] month private companies added only
[1:46] 57,000 jobs and with state government
[1:49] struggling Minnesota's has shut down
[1:51] nearly 40,000 government workers lost
