[0:06] the move. Backers of democracy take to
[0:08] the streets and the world keeps a
[0:10] watchful eye.
[0:14] This is the CBS Evening News. Dan Rather
[0:17] reporting. Good evening. It is early
[0:19] morning in Moscow in what could be
[0:21] decisive hours. Apparently, three
[0:24] leaders of the anti-GOV coup suddenly
[0:26] are out. And a short time ago, gunfire

[1:07] about a mile from here, very near the US
[1:10] embassy and only five blocks from the
[1:12] Russian Parliament building, another
[1:14] blockade was set up. APC's reportedly
[1:16] fired into the air. Eyewitnesses saw the
[1:19] firing, but we're told now that three
[1:21] people during that exchange appear to
[1:23] have been killed. another 12 injured,
[1:24] including one person who was reportedly
[1:26] run over by a tank. Now, Russian tanks
[1:29] apparently now, sorry, Soviet tanks are
[1:31] now reportedly outside of the Ru
