[0:10] to stop by today we're in revelation

[0:13] chapter number 14.

[0:15] if you've been studying the book of

[0:16] revelation along with us our last few

[0:19] chapters have been

[0:20] kind of i guess you would say kind of

[0:23] dark

[0:24] kind of gloomy we left off last week

[0:27] talking about the

[0:28] the the mark of the beast and those that

[0:31] are gonna be put to death

[0:32] because they refuse to take the mark

[0:36] well now we're picking up in chapter 14

[0:38] and i've got good

[0:39] news chapter 14 the tide turns and

[0:42] things are starting to look better

[0:44] and so we're looking forward to that

[0:47] chapter 14

[0:48] verse number one of revelation says this

[0:51] i

[0:51] looked and lo a lamb stood

[0:54] on the mount sion and with him in 140

[0:58] and 4

[0:59] 000 having his father's name written in

[1:02] their foreheads

[1:03] and i heard a voice from heaven as a

[1:06] voice of many waters

[1:07] and as the voice of a great thunder and

[1:10] i heard the voice of the harpers harping

[1:12] with their harps

[1:13] and they sung as it were a new song

[1:16] before the throne

[1:17] and before the four beasts and the

[1:19] elders

[1:20] and no man could learn the song but the

[1:23] hundred and forty and four thousand

[1:25] which were redeemed from the earth these

[1:28] are they which were not defiled with

[1:30] women

[1:31] for they are virgins these are they

[1:33] which follow the lord whithersoever he

[1:35] goeth

[1:36] these were redeemed from among men being

[1:39] the first fruits unto god

[1:41] and to the lamb and in their mouth was

[1:43] found no

[1:44] guile for they are without fault before

[1:48] the throne of god now chapter 14

[1:51] gives us almost a panoramic view of

[1:54] events

[1:55] that'll take place and then details are

[1:59] filled in during the next several

[2:00] chapters

[2:02] chapter 14 is almost like a table of

[2:05] contents in that it takes the reader

[2:08] back

[2:09] the two periods of the tribulation that

[2:11] carries them through

[2:12] the tribulation to the end

[2:14] chronologically the events of chapters

[2:16] 15 and 16

[2:18] occur before the reaping and harvest

[2:20] visions of chapter 14.

[2:23] for instance in verse number 8 it gives

[2:26] a brief announcement

[2:27] or vision of the judgment of babylon in

[2:30] verse chapter 14 verse 8

[2:32] and then the actual details of the

[2:34] actual doom

[2:36] of babylon is found in revelation 16

[2:38] verses 17 through 21

[2:41] so as we dive back to verse 1 john says

[2:44] i look and lo

[2:45] a lamb stood the lamb of god

[2:49] you'll notice the l is capitalized there

[2:52] the lamb of god is none other than the

[2:54] lord jesus christ

[2:56] who is mentioned as the lamb throughout

[2:59] the book of revelation

[3:01] and as the lamb we know he was crucified

[3:03] in chapter 5 verse 6.

[3:06] he's glorified as he is worshiped in

[3:08] chapter 5 verses 8

[3:10] 12 and 13. he's justified as he opens

[3:14] the seals in revelation

[3:16] 6 verses 1 and verse 16 and he's

[3:19] magnified as he is recognized in

[3:22] revelation chapter 7 verses 9

[3:25] 10 14 and 17 and here he is he is

[3:29] rectified when he comes to earth and

[3:32] all that is wrong is vindicated

[3:35] we find that he's going to come to earth

[3:38] and he's going to

[3:39] rule and reign and so here the lamb

[3:43] stood

[3:44] on the mount sion and with him a hundred

[3:47] and forty four thousand having his

[3:49] father's name

[3:50] written in their foreheads so it's the

[3:52] lamb it's jesus

[3:54] standing now where's he standing he's

[3:57] standing on

[3:58] mount sion it says now mount zion is in

[4:01] jerusalem israel's earthly capital

[4:04] second samuel chapter 5 verse 7 psalm 48

[4:07] verse 2 tells us that

[4:10] the hope of israel has always been

[4:13] that their messiah would sit on the

[4:15] throne of david in jerusalem

[4:17] now this week here at our church as

[4:19] we're recording this video

[4:20] we're enjoying revival services and i

[4:23] love what brother mccracken said earlier

[4:24] in the week

[4:25] that every prophecy of god is a promise

[4:29] of god so every prophecy is a promise

[4:33] because it's from god it will be

[4:34] fulfilled so the prophecy that jesus

[4:37] would rule and reign

[4:39] from israel is a promise that he's going

[4:41] to rule and reign

[4:43] from israel and we know it to be 100

[4:46] true so the promise of jesus reigning so

[4:50] the hope of israel has been that in

[4:53] psalms 2 verses 2 through 8 it tells us

[4:56] about mount zion and its central place

[4:59] in the future in psalm 48 verses 1

[5:02] through 3

[5:03] and verses 11 through 14 tells about the

[5:06] messianic

[5:07] mount zion in psalm 132 verses 13

[5:11] 14 17 and isaiah chapter 2 verses 1

[5:15] through 4

[5:16] reference what it seems to be an earthly

[5:18] place

[5:19] rather than a heavenly place so this

[5:22] is a place that the lord will stand

[5:26] now there are differing views people say

[5:28] oh mount sion here it's talking about

[5:31] up in heaven well in order for it to be

[5:34] heavenly

[5:35] and the 144 000 to be

[5:38] there it has to mean the 144

[5:42] 000 were taken from earth and

[5:45] placed in heaven

[5:48] the only way according to scripture we

[5:51] know

[5:52] as the 144 000 and chapter 7 are set

[5:55] apart

[5:56] that the bible says they will not see

[5:58] death

[5:59] the only way for that to happen is to

[6:01] have a rapture

[6:03] in the tribulation time of the 144

[6:07] thousand

[6:08] so in order for it to be heavenly the

[6:12] 144 000 have to be raptured to heaven

[6:15] to be with the lamb in heaven so i don't

[6:19] believe the bible's teaching here it's a

[6:21] heavenly place i believe the bible's

[6:24] teaching here

[6:25] it is the literal mount zion it is

[6:29] at the end of the tribulation period now

[6:32] others have deferring opinions

[6:34] good people can differ i believe it's

[6:37] teaching

[6:38] that it's the 144 thousand that are

[6:41] standing with the lamb

[6:42] at the end of the tribulation period and

[6:44] i'll give more significance to that here

[6:47] in just a moment

[6:48] but that's where i believe them to be

[6:50] standing in

[6:51] victory with the lord because he's come

[6:54] back

[6:54] to earth so he's standing on

[6:58] earth he's second coming he's come

[7:01] back the 144 000 did not see death their

[7:05] ministry during the tribulation period

[7:07] even though the antichrist the false

[7:09] prophet and the system of the beast have

[7:11] tried to

[7:12] martyr tribulation believers and

[7:15] tribulation saints and we see that

[7:17] we'll talk more about that when we get

[7:19] to chapter 15

[7:21] but here we know god protects them he's

[7:24] got a seal upon them

[7:25] and so they're sealed to the end and of

[7:28] god's working

[7:29] with them and so this place mount

[7:32] zion i believe to be the earthly

[7:34] location i believe it to be at the end

[7:37] of the tribulation

[7:38] as god stands victorious christ stands

[7:40] victorious

[7:42] on the hill and he rules and reigns from

[7:44] jerusalem

[7:45] and the 144 000 then enter into the

[7:48] millennial kingdom

[7:50] and have never seen heaven to this point

[7:54] and so the millennial kingdom now you'll

[7:56] notice the 44 000

[7:58] it says in verse 1 that they have their

[8:00] father's name written in their foreheads

[8:02] they're sealed

[8:03] they have sealed these 144 000 are the

[8:06] same who were sealed in revelation

[8:08] chapter 7.

[8:10] so this group is the same group from

[8:12] revelation chapter 7.

[8:14] there are 12 000 from each of the 12

[8:17] tribes of israel

[8:18] verse 4 shows us that they are men they

[8:21] are protected by

[8:22] god from the antichrist and will go

[8:25] about preaching the gospel during the

[8:27] tribulation period

[8:29] in this chapter the 144 000 are rewarded

[8:32] for their faithfulness to god so who

[8:36] are these 144 000

[8:40] jewish evangelists who are they

[8:43] well in order to talk about who they are

[8:45] i need to remind you of who they are not

[8:48] because there's a lot of teaching out

[8:50] there of

[8:51] who people think they are number one

[8:54] they are not the church

[8:56] for the church is in heaven already

[8:59] these

[9:00] 144 they're not the church they're

[9:03] not them they have not been left behind

[9:06] to be

[9:07] evangelist for jesus they're not them

[9:10] the church is raptured out

[9:11] we believe the bible teaches a

[9:14] pre-tribulational

[9:15] rapture of the church secondly

[9:18] they are not seventh-day adventist many

[9:22] seventh-day adventists teach that the

[9:24] 144

[9:25] 000 are members of their church who are

[9:28] found observing the jewish

[9:29] sabbath when jesus comes back to earth

[9:33] for this to happen that would mean that

[9:36] every one of those seventh-day

[9:38] adventists

[9:39] would have to be jewish in their lineage

[9:42] and from one of the 12 tribes of israel

[9:45] i don't see that

[9:46] in scripture here i do not believe and

[9:50] i'm confident in saying

[9:51] they are not seventh-day adventists

[9:54] they are not jehovah witnesses in the

[9:57] sense

[9:58] of the religion of jehovah witnesses

[10:01] excuse me they used to say that they

[10:03] were all

[10:04] jehovah witnesses when they first

[10:07] started

[10:08] until their numbers exceeded 144 000.

[10:12] so they're not the jehovah witnesses

[10:14] they're not seventh-day adventists

[10:16] they are not the church they also are

[10:19] not the

[10:20] israel of god propagated by herbert

[10:22] armstrong

[10:24] and the world church of tomorrow that he

[10:26] founded they are not

[10:27] that group either the israel of god

[10:31] so if they're not those groups then who

[10:33] are they

[10:34] they are active jewish evangelists and

[10:37] in chapter 14

[10:39] they are shown to be rewarded for their

[10:41] work so number one they had the mark of

[10:44] god

[10:44] in their foreheads now unlike the mark

[10:47] we saw

[10:47] last week 666 on the foreheads of those

[10:51] who followed the beast it was death

[10:55] to have the mark of god from the world

[10:57] standpoint

[10:58] but these 144 000

[11:02] made it to the end of the tribulation

[11:05] period

[11:06] and how many are in chapter 7

[11:10] that's right 144 000 in chapter seven

[11:14] how many are in chapter 14 a hundred and

[11:17] forty four thousand

[11:18] not a hundred and forty three thousand

[11:20] nine hundred ninety nine but a hundred

[11:22] and forty four

[11:23] thousand when you are god's person in

[11:27] god's will

[11:28] you are immortal until god is done with

[11:31] you

[11:32] when god seals you you've been sealed

[11:34] whatever it is that god

[11:37] starts god finishes he worked with him

[11:40] until he was

[11:41] finished in chapter 7 verse 3 it states

[11:44] that these men were sealed in their

[11:46] foreheads

[11:47] and these verses tell us why it says

[11:49] that they are identified with jesus

[11:52] christ and the father

[11:53] the seal seems to be just as physically

[11:57] seen as the mark of the beast is

[11:59] physically seen

[12:00] so you and i know that as christians the

[12:03] bible says that we are

[12:04] sealed by the holy ghost until the day

[12:07] of redemption

[12:08] talking about the rapture taking us to

[12:11] heaven we are sealed

[12:12] to that day in verse number four we

[12:15] notice

[12:16] we're gonna go back to verse three in a

[12:18] little bit in verse number four we

[12:19] notice that they

[12:20] are male virgins it says these are they

[12:24] which were not defiled with women for

[12:26] they are

[12:27] virgins they're celibate males

[12:30] now one of the prevailing problems in

[12:32] our world today

[12:33] is the sexual sins that prevail in

[12:36] fornication and adulteries

[12:38] but this will be compounded i believe

[12:41] during the tribulation time

[12:43] the men will be lovers of them own

[12:45] selves instead of lovers of god they'll

[12:47] do whatever's right in their own eyes

[12:50] these people be willing to give up their

[12:52] own earthly

[12:53] desires yes these men will give up their

[12:55] own earthly desires in order to

[12:58] satisfy the desires of god

[13:01] not only are they physical virgins

[13:03] they're also spiritual versions

[13:05] the bible talks about multiple times in

[13:07] the bible how

[13:08] israel played the part of the harlot and

[13:10] went into whoredom and left

[13:12] god and forsook god who they had a

[13:14] relationship with

[13:16] for other gods and just as they did that

[13:19] these men have committed themselves to

[13:22] one god

[13:23] in fact in second corinthians chapter 11

[13:26] verse 2

[13:27] paul says i have a spouse to you one

[13:29] husband that i may present you as a

[13:31] chaste

[13:32] virgin to christ these men are

[13:35] spiritually

[13:36] set apart for god's purposes and god is

[13:39] so excited for that and god appreciates

[13:42] the fact

[13:43] that they're willing to give up their

[13:44] earthly desires

[13:46] in order to satisfy the desires of god

[13:49] remember these 144 thousands will be

[13:53] like having a hundred forty four

[13:55] thousand apostle paul's

[13:57] that's a ma unimaginable to us but

[14:00] imagine the

[14:01] impact they'll have upon the world a

[14:04] hundred and forty four thousand apostle

[14:06] paul's witnessing

[14:07] and preaching the gospel how exciting it

[14:10] will be the evangelism that takes place

[14:12] during that time in verse number

[14:15] three it says this and they sung as it

[14:17] were a new song before the throne

[14:20] and before the four beasts and the

[14:22] elders and no man could learn that song

[14:24] but the 144

[14:26] 000 which were redeemed from the earth

[14:29] so the song that they're singing that

[14:31] victorious song

[14:33] is heard by those that are in heaven

[14:36] now in chapter 15 there's a group of

[14:39] people

[14:40] that we're going to talk about that have

[14:42] gone through the tribulation known as

[14:43] the tribulation saints

[14:45] and in chapter 15 before the seven

[14:48] vile judgments are poured out or bowl

[14:50] judgments are poured out

[14:52] upon the the land they sing a song there

[14:55] we'll talk about that

[14:57] when we get there but the only people

[14:59] who could really relate to the song

[15:01] of the 144 000 were the tribulation

[15:04] saints

[15:05] who went through that time this is a

[15:07] choir of redeemed jews praising god

[15:10] for his provision and protection it's no

[15:13] wonder others could not sing their song

[15:15] they'd walk through the teeth of the

[15:17] tribulation saw those who had given

[15:19] their lives for god

[15:21] saw the horrors of it all and the

[15:23] deliverance of god

[15:25] it's no wonder they could sing like no

[15:27] others if you look at revelation 7 10

[15:29] through 12

[15:30] and this it says they are accompanied by

[15:32] harps in chapter 14.

[15:35] in psalm 137 verses 1 through 2 the

[15:37] nation

[15:38] is they hung their hearts harps in the

[15:40] bible are always

[15:42] associated with joy

[15:45] we should learn to sing with joy but all

[15:48] this period of time they sung the new

[15:50] song they're accompanied by the harps

[15:52] as we see in verse two i heard the voice

[15:55] of the harpers harping with their harps

[15:57] that say that three times fast but we

[16:00] find that they sing this song

[16:02] verse number five and in their mouth was

[16:04] found no guile

[16:05] for they are without fault before the

[16:07] throne of god

[16:08] we find these men stood out as truthful

[16:11] which during the tribulation time with

[16:13] the false prophet

[16:14] and the false messiah the antichrist

[16:17] there's a lot of deceitful going on

[16:20] but they are truthful that's what nogai

[16:22] means means truthful

[16:24] that they knew god who knew their hearts

[16:26] could find nothing wrong with him satan

[16:28] on the other hand he's a liar

[16:30] it was against all the falseness of the

[16:33] tribulation

[16:34] that these and forty four thousand were

[16:36] found with no guile

[16:38] as we think about it today verses one

[16:41] through five

[16:42] the lamb he's on mount zion victory

[16:46] in jesus victory for jesus

[16:50] in the end god wins now chapter 13

[16:54] satan's doing a work satan's trying to

[16:56] destroy people

[16:57] satan's convincing all people of the

[16:59] land to worship him

[17:00] the mark of the beast is a tool used by

[17:02] satan to accomplish his plan

[17:05] that all people would fall down and

[17:07] worship him

[17:08] and satan thinks he's going to have

[17:10] victory and if you're a tribulation

[17:12] saint during this time we know in other

[17:14] parts of revelation they cry

[17:16] how long how long can you imagine being

[17:19] a tribulation saint and you're sitting

[17:21] there and you're watching what's taking

[17:23] place

[17:23] here upon the land in the tribulation

[17:26] period and you're thinking how awful

[17:27] it is the devil's winning how terrible

[17:31] it is the antichrist is in power but my

[17:34] friend how the tide will turn when jesus

[17:37] comes back

[17:38] and he wins the battle of armageddon and

[17:42] satan is bound for a thousand years he's

[17:45] tied up and chains we're going to get to

[17:47] that it's going to get exciting

[17:49] when we see that satan is bound it's

[17:52] going to get exciting to see how god

[17:53] begins to judge

[17:55] the land how god's going to bring about

[17:57] his millennial kingdom and he's going to

[17:59] rule and reign

[18:00] in jerusalem it's amazing to see the

[18:04] grace of god here in chapter 14

[18:06] that he's got preachers that are

[18:08] preaching the gospel

[18:10] and people are still being saved even

[18:12] though there's the wickedness in the

[18:13] land

[18:14] it should encourage you today that no

[18:16] matter how bad the situation is in our

[18:18] land

[18:19] no matter how bad the situation is and

[18:21] the lack of morality in the land

[18:24] that god is still on the throne that god

[18:26] still has a plan

[18:28] that god's word changes lives

[18:31] here in chapter 14 it's getting close to

[18:34] the end

[18:35] here's the table of contents here's the

[18:37] final victory

[18:38] jesus wins he stands upon the throne

[18:42] he stands there at the throne in mount

[18:44] zion and he rules

[18:45] and reigns they sing praises to the lamb

[18:49] they sing praises to the lamb that was

[18:51] slain in revelation i believe it's

[18:52] chapter five

[18:53] they sing praises to the lamb here with

[18:56] the

[18:57] tribulation saints in chapter 15 and

[18:59] here in chapter 14

[19:01] the 144 thousands sing a new song to the

[19:05] lamb

[19:05] it's an exciting time and we and i

[19:08] just just to share it with you today you

[19:11] and i need to do some more praising god

[19:13] and singing songs of praise to the lord

[19:16] the bible says there's a new song in my

[19:18] heart even praise unto my god we ought

[19:21] to sing praises

[19:22] because we serve the lamb of god which

[19:25] taketh away

[19:26] the sin of the world and if you took

[19:28] away your sin

[19:30] you ought to praise him today the

[19:32] songwriter said

[19:34] praise him praise him praise him we

[19:37] ought to do that

[19:38] praise you the lord and so i'm so
