[0:04] We're coming out with one injured
[0:05] person. He's shot.
[0:07] A deadly school shooting in South
[0:09] Florida. And all of a sudden we hear,
[0:11] "Run as fast as you can." And we hear a
[0:13] gunshot. Panic students run for safety.
[0:17] I heard five pops. And I was like,
[0:19] "That's not a drill."
[0:22] The wounded are rushed to hospitals. We
[0:24] were just praying and crying. I don't
[0:28] know how we're alive. Frantic parents
[0:30] race to the school. You think of it as
[0:32] the safest school. It's just

[0:45] This is the CBS Evening News with Jeff

[1:08] students. A suspect was taken into
[1:11] custody about a mile from the scene.
[1:13] We're going to have much more on him in
[1:14] just a moment. We do have extensive
[1:17] coverage tonight beginning with Manuel
[1:19] Bojorquez in Parkland. We do caution you
[1:21] some of the video you're about to see is
[1:23] graphic. Manny.
[1:26] That's right, Jeff. And a law
[1:27] enforcement source tells CBS News the
[1:29] gunman appears to have pulled the
[1:31] school's fire alarm to create chaos and
[1:34] then began firing. Those who could ran,
[1:36] hiding in classrooms, even closets,
[1:39] while the shooting continued.
[1:43] Just as the school day was ending, the
