[0:06] edition of World News Tonight with Peter
[0:09] Jennings.
[0:09] >> Good evening. It has been a long week
[0:11] for much of the world, and it is only
[0:12] the first week. Last Wednesday night,
[0:14] whatever you were doing right about now,
[0:16] the war in the Persian Gulf was

[1:05] >> No Iraqi airplane
[1:07] has conducted a single ground attack
[1:10] against any coalition target.
[1:12] >> As a result, Powell said the US can
[1:15] conduct air operations without
[1:16] significant interference from the
[1:18] Iraqis.
[1:19] >> Allied air forces have achieved air
[1:22] superiority
[1:24] over not only the Kuwaiti theater of
[1:26] operation, but throughout the entire
[1:28] theater to include Iraq. That is not to
[1:30] say
[1:31] that
