[1:04] promised what he called real action
[1:06] right now to reduce gun violence after
[1:09] the school massacre in New Town,
[1:11] Connecticut. He put Vice President Biden
[1:13] in charge of a governmentwide effort,
[1:16] but gave him only until January to
[1:18] recommend new laws and executive orders.
[1:21] Mr. Obama pointed to assault rifles like
[1:24] the one used in the Sandy Hook attack,
[1:26] to access to mental health care, and to
[1:29] what he called a culture that glorifies
[1:31] violence. Major Garrett is at the White
[1:34] House for us tonight. Major Scott, gun
[1:37] control has never been an Obama
[1:39] administration priority. It is now. And
[1:41] the clock is ticking on Vice President
[1:42] Joe Biden's gun violence task force. Mr.
