[0:00] Prepare to be inspired by a local

[0:02] athlete story tonight at 11.

[0:08] >> Entertainment tonight in high

[0:09] definition.

[0:12] >> You asked your husband for just one gift

[0:15] when you got married.

[0:16] >> I wanted him to be faithful to me.

[0:18] >> Elizabeth Edworth on her husband's

[0:20] infidelity. Is John the father of his

[0:23] mistress's baby?

[0:24] >> I've seen a picture of the baby.

[0:25] >> Then Maria Osman's message to her kids.

[0:28] I may not be perfect, but my love for

[0:30] you is perfect.

[0:31] >> And

[0:31] >> I'm still here. I'm 75. I'm here.

[0:34] >> Hollywood mourns the loss of Dom

[0:36] Deloise.

[0:37] >> That's terrible news.

[0:38] >> Yeah.

[0:39] >> Madonna, Rihanna, Eva, and an

[0:42] >> Don't you know at on speed dial for me?

[0:46] >> The stars step out in the very latest

[0:48] styles for the Oscars of the fashion

[0:50] world.

[0:50] >> And you look gorgeous. Thank you very

[0:52] much.

[0:53] >> Bronto,

[0:55] >> new Angels and Demons. How they built

[0:57] the Vatican in Hollywood. What was it

[1:00] like the first time you walked on that

[1:01] styrofoam set?

[1:02] >> It was stunning. It was a perfect

[1:05] replica.

[1:05] >> Plus, clues on author Dan Brown's next

[1:08] blockbuster book.

[1:09] >> I can tell you it all takes place in 12

[1:12] hours. Max backstage at Dancing for Us

[1:15] is the review between Juel and Melissa.

[1:18] >> I read the comic.

[1:19] >> Mark Harmon and the stars of the new

[1:21] NCIS spin-off.

[1:22] >> I think it makes sense. Plus a Beverly

[1:24] Hills wide awake facelift.

[1:27] >> I don't feel anything. Now from Rome,

[1:30] new secrets from the Angels and Demons

[1:32] stars. Vatican City practically rebuilt

[1:35] to scale in Los Angeles. How they pulled

[1:38] off the most amazing movie stunt of all.

[1:41] Hello and welcome to Entertainment

[1:43] Tonight from Rome, Italy. I'm Mary Hart

[1:46] >> and I'm Mark Steinus with news about the

[1:48] passing of Hollywood favorite Dom

[1:50] Deloise. The comic legend's final hours

[1:52] with his family and his last interview

[1:54] with ET are just 15 minutes away. But

[1:57] first, Elizabeth Edwards battling cancer

[2:00] breaks her silence about her cheating

[2:02] husband.

[2:04] >> You asked your husband for just one gift

[2:07] when you got married. What was that? I

[2:10] uh wanted him to be faithful to me.

[2:13] >> That gift is gone. Elizabeth speaking

[2:15] for the first time about John Edward's

[2:17] affair.

[2:18] >> Did you believe that this was the only

[2:19] time? I did. I did. You know, I

[2:22] believed.

[2:22] >> Only time with her.

[2:23] >> Only time with her.

[2:24] >> Is this affair completely over?

[2:26] >> Oh, yes. It's been over for a long time.

[2:28] >> Did you believe it was the only time

[2:30] ever?

[2:31] >> Uh, yeah. I mean, I I I I believe that.

[2:34] I want to believe that.

[2:35] >> John's TV confession on ABC's Night Line

[2:38] last August. Elizabeth on Thursday's

[2:40] Oprah show granted O a no holes barred

[2:43] interview only if she never mentioned

[2:45] Realel Hunter by name. What John had

[2:47] said is this woman had spotted him in

[2:49] the hotel in which he was staying. And

[2:50] then John had gone to dinner and when he

[2:52] walked back she was standing in front of

[2:54] the hotel uh and said to him um you are

[2:57] so hot I can't deliver it cuz I don't

[2:59] know how you deliver such a line as that

[3:01] but you know you are so hot are the

[3:03] words she said to him and it started

[3:05] >> I think she probably said it a little

[3:06] differently.

[3:07] >> You think so?

[3:08] >> Oprah asks if Elizabeth is still in love

[3:10] with John. Her answer that's a

[3:12] complicated question but an even harder

[3:14] question. Does she believe the tabloid

[3:16] headlines claiming Jon is the father of

[3:18] Hunter's one-year-old baby girl?

[3:20] >> I've seen a picture of a baby. I have no

[3:22] idea. It doesn't look like my children,

[3:23] but I don't have any idea. Um,

[3:26] >> you must have thought, you must have

[3:28] thought, is it or is it not?

[3:30] >> A very difficult situation. And does

[3:32] Elizabeth think her marriage can last?

[3:34] Well, she says in her book, quote, there

[3:36] are no guarantees. Rome may be one of

[3:39] the most glamorous cities in the world,

[3:41] home to some of the most remarkable

[3:43] designers in the business. But last

[3:45] night, New York City was glamour central

[3:47] and our Thea Andrews was first on the

[3:50] red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum

[3:52] Costume Institute. Gayla,

[3:56] my my my Madonna taking her mind off

[3:58] adoption, the material girl and the face

[4:00] of Louis Vuitton wore a funky bow, thigh

[4:02] high boots, and a little dress in

[4:04] between. She got a kiss from Jerry

[4:05] Seinfeld and kept rumored boyfriend

[4:07] Jesus waiting. Justin and Jessica, Eva,

[4:11] Tony, newlyweds Bruce and Emma stepped

[4:13] out for a very fashionable date night.

[4:16] Briana came solo in a Dolce and Gabbana

[4:19] suit. Cindy Crawford led a parade of

[4:21] supermodels that included Jazelle Bunin

[4:23] and Versace with husband Tom Brady and a

[4:25] pregnant Heidi Clume wearing a strapless

[4:27] floorlength Jay Mandel. When you do,

[4:29] when's he coming or she coming?

[4:30] >> Well, we still in the very very

[4:32] beginning of the pregnancy. I think

[4:33] because you know this is our fourth

[4:35] child. I'm just bigger faster.

[4:39] >> Jessica Alba dawned an outfit by Jason

[4:41] Woo and we wondered if she's thinking

[4:43] baby number two.

[4:44] >> Not anytime soon.

[4:47] >> And Haway was very oat couture in Marc

[4:50] Jacobs and she's getting ready to play

[4:52] Judy Garland.

[4:53] >> I couldn't be more thrilled and we're

[4:54] just looking for directors and a writer

[4:56] right now.

[4:57] >> Also looking gorgeous, Renee Zelwagger

[4:59] and Karolina Herrera. Kate Beckansale

[5:01] and Marqueesa. Hillary Swank and Calvin

[5:03] Klein. And Mary wanted all the fashion

[5:05] details from Rome. Sophia, which was

[5:08] your absolute favorite gown? Well, Mary,

[5:11] I can't narrow it down to one absolute

[5:13] best outfit. My two favorites were Anne

[5:15] Hathaway because she rocked it out in a

[5:16] look that I've never seen on her before.

[5:18] And of course, Heidi Cloon because if

[5:20] any pregnant woman looks that good in a

[5:21] ball gown, you got to give it to her.

[5:24] Eva Angoria Parker was stunning in Diane

[5:26] von Burenberg. And she told me she was

[5:28] just happy to be with husband Tony

[5:30] Parker. I love when he's gonna talk. So,

[5:32] any chance I get to get him dressed up,

[5:34] I'm really happy.

[5:35] >> Well, Pia also spent the morning with a

[5:37] very glamorous and fashionable star

[5:39] who's playing it lowkey for her new

[5:41] indie movie, Jennifer Aniston.

[5:44] Hi.

[5:46] >> Jennifer and Steve Zan reunited in our

[5:49] interview. The two formed a strong bond

[5:51] shooting the romantic comedy Management.

[5:53] >> We had so much fun that that um it was

[5:57] shocking we were actually work at work.

[5:59] Jennifer plays a traveling art dealer

[6:01] who ends up at Steve's motel in Arizona

[6:04] and he is instantly spit.

[6:05] >> You can touch my butt, but then you got

[6:07] to go.

[6:08] >> How many takes of the touch your butt

[6:10] scene?

[6:10] >> We did quite a few.

[6:11] >> Quite a few.

[6:12] >> It's so fun to go do a job where you're

[6:15] laughing

[6:16] so hard at what you're doing.

[6:18] >> You can't get through the scene.

[6:20] >> Steve sets out for the East Coast to win

[6:22] Jennifer's heart in the film. Opening

[6:24] May 15th. And Jennifer told me that

[6:26] though he's not the conventional romcom

[6:28] leading man, don't sell Steve Short.

[6:31] You've done romantic comedy with the

[6:32] best in the business. You've gone with

[6:34] Vince Vaughn, with Jim Carrey, you Owen

[6:36] Wilson, The Geniuses. How does this guy

[6:38] match up? Not only is he really

[6:40] ridiculously funny and he's like just an

[6:43] amazing actor, you know, and the other

[6:45] guys.

[6:49] >> Jennifer is doing double duty in New

[6:51] York. She's also there filming the

[6:53] baster with Jason Baitman.

[6:55] >> It's the story you haven't heard about

[6:57] this summer's blockbuster movie Angels

[6:59] and Demons, but tonight you will.

[7:01] Straight from Tom Hanks and Ron Howard.

[7:04] >> We're back. We're back in Rome with Mary

[7:05] Hart and Tom Hanks in front of the

[7:07] Vatican for Angels and Demons.

[7:09] >> Tom is amped up. While the Da Vinci Code

[7:11] made 750 million worldwide, Angels and

[7:14] Demons is expected to be even bigger.

[7:16] But what you didn't know is that author

[7:18] Dan Brown gives the movie his stamp of

[7:20] approval. It's smart. It's fast. It's

[7:22] fun. I think readers are going to love

[7:23] it.

[7:24] >> You're talking about the moment of

[7:26] creation.

[7:27] >> Director Ron Howard and super producer

[7:29] Brian Graaser's Thrill Ride opens May

[7:30] 15th. But in Rome, Mary uncovered clues

[7:33] about Dan's new book.

[7:34] >> Dan is this remarkable conversationalist

[7:36] until you bring up the the question of,

[7:38] you know, what's in that next Robert

[7:40] Langden book.

[7:40] >> Dan Brown is as as tight lipped as

[7:43] possible. I'm hoping I'm hoping against

[7:45] hope. It takes place in the Bahamas. Uh

[7:49] >> clue number one. It was initially

[7:50] reported that the new book's title would

[7:52] be The Solomon Key, but the actual title

[7:54] is The Lost Symbol. Clue number two, the

[7:57] new book is fastpaced.

[7:59] >> It all takes place in 12 hours. The

[8:02] entire book is compressed into 12 hours.

[8:04] I'm very excited by that.

[8:05] >> Clue number three, the story. Dan

[8:07] confirms Robert Langden is indeed back

[8:10] as the lead character, but word on the

[8:12] street is that the plot involves the

[8:13] Freemasons.

[8:14] >> Are you already thinking you will do

[8:16] you'll continue this now?

[8:18] >> Sure. and be Robert Langden again.

[8:20] >> And clue number four, the release date

[8:22] of the book. September 15th.

[8:25] >> Still ahead, how they rebuilt Vatican

[8:27] City in Los Angeles for scenes so real

[8:30] you won't believe it's not Rome.

[8:33] >> It's the incredible replica that left

[8:35] the stars stunned.

[8:37] >> You walk through this this little tunnel

[8:39] and you came out in the middle of Rome.

[8:42] >> Then oneon-one with the cast of the

[8:44] possible MCIS spin-off. It's a great

[8:46] group of actresses

[8:47] >> inside the O for a wide awake facelift.

[8:51] ET's last interview with the late Dom

[8:54] Deloise.

[8:54] >> If you say you're going to get it, it's

[8:57] not so good as if you say you're going

[8:59] to get it.

[9:01] >> And Marie Osman on her children. Stay

[9:04] tuned.

[9:08] >> Why is Entertainment Tonight number one?

[9:11] >> I'm just saying. Because we've got

[9:13] another Merryill Streep exclusive. A

[9:16] rare look at Merrill on the set.

[9:19] >> Forgive me.

[9:20] >> With Alec Baldwin.

[9:22] >> Are we rolling?

[9:23] >> And Steve Martin.

[9:24] >> I kissed Meryill Streep 182 times.

[9:26] >> I don't have to worry cuz Mel and I have

[9:28] a

[9:32] >> hardcore her head right through the

[9:34] headboard.

[9:37] >> See it all on Thursday.

[9:39] Entertainment Tonight. Number one for a

[9:42] reason.

[9:45] >> At 11, he's not just blowing smoke. Why

[9:48] Governor Schwarzenegger has decided to

[9:50] open the debate over legalizing

[9:51] marijuana

[9:52] >> and 5 lbs in 30 minutes. The Cinco deio

[9:55] burrito challenge tonight on Coin Local

[12:02] Angels and Demons in Rome. Our exclusive

[12:04] coverage continues

[12:07] once again. Here's Mary Hart. While I'm

[12:10] hanging with the stars of Angels and

[12:12] Demons here in glorious Rome, Dancing

[12:14] with the Stars is reaching a fever pitch

[12:17] back in Los Angeles. And I can hardly

[12:19] stand the suspense. So, how about let's

[12:22] send in Maxim for a little Dancing with

[12:24] the Stars real or rumor. Is there a feud

[12:27] brewing between Melissa and injured

[12:28] Dancing with the Stars contestant Juel?

[12:30] Maximum found out that is just a rumor.

[12:32] >> We just both thought it was funny.

[12:33] >> The buzz started following Melissa's rib

[12:35] injury last week. Juel, who is married

[12:37] to retired bull rider and dancing

[12:39] competitor Tai Murray, then blogged,

[12:41] quote, "I'm used to our cowboy athletes

[12:44] that live by the rule ride hurt or don't

[12:46] get a score." Melissa wasn't bothered by

[12:48] the comment.

[12:48] >> I understand her point.

[12:50] >> Will Melissa and Tai make it to the next

[12:52] round? Find out tonight on ABC.

[12:54] Is Victoria Principal being sued by a

[12:57] former employee? That is real. In papers

[12:59] filed last Friday, the actress is being

[13:01] sued by a plaintiff, her former

[13:02] housekeeper, who claims that after

[13:04] firing her, principal pointed and aimed

[13:06] a firearm at the woman and verbally

[13:08] threatened to kill her. In a counter

[13:10] suit filed today, principal claims that

[13:12] the woman was attempting to extort money

[13:14] from her, physically assaulting

[13:16] principal's full-time housekeeper and

[13:17] making principal fear for her own life.

[13:19] Both cases are now pending. Is there a

[13:22] spin-off to CBS's hit NCIS? That's a

[13:25] rumor for now.

[13:26] >> We will talk more about this later.

[13:28] >> Although tonight has Chris O'Donnell and

[13:30] LL CoolJ on a new team working with Mark

[13:32] Harmon's NCIS team. It' be great to work

[13:35] with everybody. We'll see.

[13:38] >> And this is real. The Tony nominations

[13:40] are in and only we can show you the

[13:42] biggest stars on Broadway sitting side

[13:44] by side for Vanity Fair.

[13:47] >> Here we go, guys. A chatty Jane Fonda

[13:50] all smiles with a bearded Nathan Lane.

[13:52] James Gandalfini paying close attention

[13:54] to photographer Mark Celiger. Jeremy

[13:56] Irons camped by his side. Jeff Daniels,

[13:59] Susan Sandon, David Hyde Pierce, Matthew

[14:01] Broadick.

[14:02] >> Nice cool looks. Great.

[14:04] >> 25 actors appearing on the Broadway

[14:06] stage this season together for this

[14:08] exclusive shot for Vanity Fair in the

[14:10] issue out this week. And many in this

[14:12] class photo received good news today as

[14:14] the Tony nominations were announced in

[14:16] New York.

[14:18] Billy Elliot the musical led the pack

[14:20] with 15 nods. Cynthia Nixon and last

[14:23] year's winner Lin Manuel Miranda

[14:24] announced the honores. Shane Fonda 33

[14:28] variations. The 63rd annual Tony Awards

[14:30] will air on CBS June 7th.

[14:34] >> And congratulations to Angela Lansbury

[14:36] on her Tony nomination for Bllythe

[14:38] Spirit. If she wins, it will be her

[14:40] fifth. Next, the death of Dom Deloise,

[14:43] his final hours and his last ET

[14:46] interview. that his name is Banjo and my

[14:48] name is Don Boom M.

[14:51] >> Then Marie Osman's shocking confession.

[14:53] >> I'm not a great mother.

[14:55] >> An incredible wide awake facelift.

[14:58] >> He talked to me during the procedure.

[15:00] >> And how Rome was built in nearly a day

[15:03] in LA.

[15:04] >> That's next as our Angels in Demons

[15:07] exclusive continues.

[15:12] >> Hi, I'm Leonard Nemoy. You're watching

[15:14] ET in high definition.

[15:17] >> Hollywood in high definition. Closed

[15:19] captioning sponsored by

[15:29] >> Thanks, Mom.

[15:30] >> Algebra tests are the worst.

[15:32] >> A card just 99. It's the biggest little

[15:35] thing you can do.

[15:38] >> What has Italian chefs throwing a fit?

[15:43] People are staying home more than ever

[15:44] for meals like Mediterranean style

[15:46] chicken rietoni and broccoli. One of a

[15:48] many of reasons to make tonight a Bertoi

[15:51] night.

[15:51] >> I like this one.

[15:53] >> Spring meadow green is very calming.

[16:05] >> It's amazing how paint can transform a

[16:08] room. I love this color.

[16:10] >> Come to Lowe's for highquality VBAR

[16:13] paint. You can even get 8 oz samples to

[16:14] find the color that's right for you. All

[16:22] Tonight after Without a Trace, the story

[16:23] of a local high school athlete. Normal

[16:25] in almost every way except

[16:27] >> a lot of them like seeing me race. It

[16:29] inspires them.

[16:30] >> For this three sports star, the hurdles

[16:32] are a lot higher. Prepare to be

[16:34] inspired. Coin Local 6 tonight at 11.

[16:41] Boss, boss, boss. Good morning,

[16:43] >> Richard, what are you doing?

[16:44] >> Oh, well, I read in a magazine it is a

[16:46] fact that people feel more comfortable

[16:48] if they imagine you naked.

[16:49] >> Can't we just focus on putting people in

[16:51] a car they'll love? You know, make the

[16:52] car buying experience fun and enjoyable.

[16:55] >> Yeah. Yeah.

[16:56] >> Doing your underwear is not enjoyable.

[16:57] You

[16:58] >> got plenty of looks walking in. Don't

[17:00] stare.

[17:03] >> Talking for the love of cars.

[17:09] The pricey restaurant burger these guys

[17:12] can't stop talking about

[17:15] is actually from Carl's Jr. The Kentucky

[17:18] Bourbon $6 burger for about five bucks

[17:21] at Carl's Jr.

[17:23] >> Life is full of choices like choosing

[17:25] the people who help you along the way

[17:27] with the small stuff, the big stuff,

[17:31] and the important stuff. That's where

[17:34] American Family Insurance comes in.

[17:37] They'll get to know you before anything

[17:39] happens, so you'll receive the best care

[17:41] if something happens.

[17:43] >> Good choice. For over 80 years, American

[17:46] Family Insurance, the family you choose.

[17:49] >> American Family Insurance.

[17:54] >> Most kids are eager to grow up, but for

[17:56] 8,000 Oregon foster kids, growing means

[17:58] finding new shoes to replace those that

[18:00] are too small or worn out. To help,

[18:02] Sleep Country USA is collecting new

[18:04] shoes for foster kids of all sizes. But

[18:55] Angels and Demons in Rome, an

[18:57] Entertainment Tonight exclusive.

[19:00] Here again is Mary Hart. So, how do you

[19:04] pull off shooting a movie that takes

[19:06] place almost entirely in Vatican City

[19:08] when you don't have permission to shoot

[19:10] in Vatican City? You simply rebuild it

[19:13] column for column in Los Angeles. Here

[19:15] is the biggest angels and demons secret

[19:18] finally revealed.

[19:20] >> Thousands are gathered in St. Peter

[19:22] Square.

[19:24] Rome may not have been built in a day,

[19:25] but the film's recreation of St. Peter

[19:27] Square came pretty close. It was built

[19:29] on 20 acres in the parking lot of

[19:31] Hollywood Park racetrack in Los Angeles

[19:33] and made from wood and styrofoam.

[19:36] >> What was it like the first time you

[19:37] walked on that styrofoam set?

[19:39] >> Oh, it was in Well, the the actual

[19:41] exterior of St. Peter's Square was the

[19:44] first thing you saw was was uh I think

[19:46] it was six stories of steel shipping

[19:48] containers and on the other side of that

[19:50] they were supporting the set. So you

[19:52] walk through these this little tunnel

[19:54] and you came out in the middle of Rome.

[19:56] It was it was stunning.

[19:58] >> The ginormous set was 2/3 the size of

[20:01] the original. Oscar winning director Ron

[20:02] Howard told Mary the finished look is

[20:05] seamless.

[20:06] >> Mary, there there are shots that are now

[20:08] that I've lived with in a completed form

[20:10] so much that I can't tell you anymore

[20:13] what's real in the shot and what's not.

[20:15] But Tom says they missed a great

[20:17] opportunity considering the massive set

[20:19] was built very close to LAX and visible

[20:21] from above.

[20:22] >> And I kept saying you really need to put

[20:24] out big letters that say Angels and

[20:26] Demons May 15th so that everybody flying

[20:29] in

[20:30] >> on the on the right hand side of the

[20:32] plane you can see the opening date of

[20:34] Angels and Demons. I got to tell you

[20:36] that you're missing a huge marketing

[20:37] opportunity.

[20:39] >> Isn't that fascinating? The movie opens

[20:41] May 15th. I have seen it and I'm going

[20:43] to tell you this. You will have no idea

[20:45] it wasn't all shot right here in Rome.

[20:48] >> Yeah, very cool, isn't it, Mary? In

[20:49] fact, I can't wait for you all to see

[20:51] it. But now it is time to remember Dom

[20:53] Deloise, a Hollywood favorite who made

[20:56] us all laugh. Leonard Molton has Dom's

[20:59] last interview in tonight's story from

[21:01] Studio 4.

[21:02] >> His name is Banjo and my name is Dom M.

[21:06] >> With his family at his side, the funny

[21:08] man died last night at a Los Angeles

[21:10] area hospital. He was 75 years old. Over

[21:14] the years, he's faced congestive heart

[21:15] failure, prostate cancer, a chemical

[21:17] imbalance, and reportedly underwent hip

[21:19] surgery. But he had a long career, and

[21:22] many fans.

[21:23] >> Outtakes of him and and Smoking the

[21:26] Bandit.

[21:27] >> Those outtakes are unbelievable.

[21:30] >> This is our last interview with Dom at

[21:31] his home just before Christmas with son

[21:34] David, granddaughters Dylan and Riley,

[21:36] and his wife of 43 years, Carol.

[21:38] >> Jingle bells, jingle all the way. to you

[21:42] long range over the United States of

[21:44] America.

[21:45] >> He teamed up with his pal Bert Reynolds

[21:46] many times. Reynolds told ET, "Dom

[21:49] always made everyone feel better when he

[21:51] was around. I never heard him say an

[21:53] unkind word about anyone. I will miss

[21:55] him very much." Bert Reynolds was one of

[21:57] the people who recognized just how funny

[21:59] he was.

[22:01] >> He also made six movies with Mel Brooks,

[22:03] including the classic Blazing Saddles.

[22:06] Well, Mel Brooks was in a quandry

[22:08] whether to use me or Peter Cers. And I

[22:11] had a 4hour audition with him.

[22:13] >> He was also in the Muppet movie and

[22:15] appeared with all three of his sons in

[22:17] an episode of the TV show Third Rock

[22:18] from the Sun.

[22:19] >> I told him this that if you say you're

[22:22] going to get it, it's not so good as if

[22:24] you say

[22:25] you're going to get it.

[22:27] >> It was obvious during our visit that for

[22:29] Dom family was number one.

[22:32] >> Me and my dad.

[22:34] In addition to performing, Dom had a

[22:36] clear passion for food and connected

[22:38] with a whole new audience through his

[22:40] cookbooks. Of course, always done with a

[22:42] sense of humor and his unique zest for

[22:44] life.

[22:45] Now, I'm not the only woman on the move

[22:47] tonight. My good friend Marie Osman is

[22:50] in Northridge, California at a book

[22:52] signing for her new autobiography. Hey,

[22:54] and Marie, congratulations. I hear

[22:56] you've already made the New York Times

[22:58] bestseller list. Thank you, Mary. It is

[23:00] fabulous to be on the New York Times

[23:02] bestseller list. I'm number seven.

[23:05] >> Take a picture with me.

[23:06] >> Yes, sir.

[23:07] >> That's right. Marie is riding high with

[23:09] her new book, Might as well laugh about

[23:11] it now. I met up with her yesterday at a

[23:13] book signing where we talked about one

[23:15] of its reoccurring themes, motherhood.

[23:18] >> I'm not a great mother. I I know that my

[23:21] heart is there continually.

[23:23] >> As the mother of eight, Marie says it's

[23:25] not always easy.

[23:26] >> I tell my children that all the time. I

[23:28] may not be perfect, but my love for you

[23:30] is perfect. With Mother's Day coming up,

[23:33] the holiday is bittersweet. Her mother,

[23:35] Olive, passed away on Mother's Day 5

[23:37] years ago. You obviously miss your mom.

[23:39] What will you think about her when you

[23:40] think about Mother's Day?

[23:43] >> She's having a great nap and I'm really

[23:44] tired.

[23:47] One of the reasons I wanted to come out

[23:48] for Mother's Day is to hopefully share

[23:53] that one magnificent gift she gave me,

[23:56] which was to laugh.

[23:58] uh because it translates in every area

[24:01] of your life and that was the greatest

[24:04] mother's gift that she gave to me.

[24:08] >> And tomorrow, what Marie says about

[24:10] Kirsty Alley's weight gain.

[24:12] >> I don't think you really realize how

[24:13] large you get. If food is a priority to

[24:16] you, then dieting is a priority to you.

[24:19] Plus, Elizabeth Edwards new Oprah and

[24:21] her revelations to ET.

[24:22] >> That's the real reason that I married

[24:24] him. Then Grey's Anatomy wedding secret

[24:26] and a plus-siz star on the floor with

[24:28] her baby. That's tomorrow.

[24:31] >> But there is more to come tonight. The

[24:33] brave woman who had a wide awake

[24:35] facelift. That's next

[24:45] in tonight's Entertainment Tonight.

[24:46] Capital 1 birthdays. Which family ties

[24:49] star wrote their first book, Being Your

[24:51] Best, when they were just a teenager? Is

[24:53] it Michael J. Fox, Justine Baitman, or

[24:55] Tina. Your answer is next in the ET

[24:58] Capital 1 Birthdays.

[25:01] >> I've had asthma forever.

[25:03] >> I've had asthma for as long as I can

[25:05] remember.

[25:06] >> 10 years.

[25:07] >> I used to wonder why my medicine

[25:09] wouldn't help prevent

[25:10] >> help prevent my symptoms from coming

[25:11] back.

[25:12] >> I just figured it couldn't get any

[25:13] better.

[25:14] >> And then I found out something I didn't

[25:15] know. I found out there were two main

[25:17] causes of asthma symptoms. Airway

[25:19] constriction you feel and inflammation

[25:21] you may not. Most medicines don't treat

[25:23] both.

[25:23] >> So my doctor prescribed Adver. Adver

[25:26] treats both main causes to help prevent

[25:28] symptoms in the first place.

[25:29] >> Adver contains Saluterol. Salmeterol may

[25:32] increase the chance of asthma related

[25:33] death. So Adverb is not for asthma

[25:35] that's well controlled on another

[25:36] controller medicine. Adver will not

[25:38] replace fast acting inhalers for sudden

[25:40] symptoms and should not be taken more

[25:42] than twice a day. Talk to your doctor

[25:43] about the risks and benefits of Advare.

[25:46] If you take Advare, see your doctor if

[25:47] your asthma does not improve or gets

[25:49] worse. If you're still having symptoms,

[25:51] ask your doctor how to help prevent them

[25:53] with Advare.

[25:54] >> Find out how to get your first full

[25:55] prescription free at advare.com.

[25:57] >> Advare. Now you know.

[26:02] >> A local family finds its cars covered in

[26:04] graffiti, but they aren't the only ones.

[26:07] >> This is taking it to another level

[26:08] because the the words the that they used

[26:11] are very hateful.

[26:12] >> Why police are calling this whole thing

[26:14] a crime spree. I'm Jeff Gianola.

[26:27] >> ahead and soon, plus changes for the

[26:29] weekend.

[26:31] >> Hi, I'm Felicia Rashad.

[26:32] >> Hey, you.

[26:34] Nice frame. Looking good. Thank you.

[26:37] I've lost 25 lbs with Jenny Craig. Must

[26:39] feel wonderful, huh?

[26:40] >> Oh, yeah. I've got lots more energy and

[26:43] breathe more freely. And Jenny's food is

[26:45] really good. Pot stickers, cheesy

[26:46] enchiladas, lemon cake. This is a plan I

[32:46] >> Now, Inside Edition with Deborah

[32:48] Norville.

[32:49] >> Hello everybody and thank you for

[32:51] joining us. Miss California could be in

[32:53] violation of her contract with her state

[32:55] organization now that some naughty

[32:57] photos of the controversial MissUSA

[32:59] contestant have surfaced. But Miss

[33:01] California says she's a model and

[33:03] sometimes models have to take those

[33:05] kinds of pictures. April Woodard has the

[33:07] latest. New trouble for the embattled

[33:10] Miss California Carrie Pjon. A racy

[33:12] photo of her posing in lingerie has

[33:15] surfaced on the internet. Celebrity

[33:17] blogger Perez Hilton immediately seized

[33:19] on the embarrassing revelation writing

[33:22] on his website, "What would Jesus say

[33:24] about this?" Pjan confirmed the photo

[33:26] was her and released a statement saying,

[33:29] "I am a Christian and I am a model.

[33:31] Models pose for pictures including

[33:33] lingerie and swimwear photos. Recently,

[33:36] photos taken of me as a teenager have

[33:38] been released surreptitiously to a

[33:40] tabloid website that openly mocks me for

[33:42] my Christian faith. I am not perfect and

[33:45] I will never claim to be. The photo

[33:47] first appeared on the website the

[33:49] dirty.com which claims there are more

[33:51] revealing photos of Miss California to

[33:53] come. Bjan says the release of the

[33:55] photos is part of an organized campaign

[33:58] to humiliate her because of her views on

[34:00] marriage.

[34:01] >> I believe that a marriage should be

[34:03] between a man and a woman. No offense to

[34:04] anybody out there.

[34:05] >> The National Organization for Marriage,

[34:07] which is featuring Pjan in their new ad

[34:09] campaign supporting traditional

[34:11] marriage, voiced their support for the

[34:13] beauty queen. Because Carrie honestly

[34:15] said what she believed in answer to a

[34:17] question. She is now the subject of

[34:20] ongoing character assassination. The

[34:22] level of hatred directed at her is

[34:24] astonishing. Bjan may be in trouble with

[34:27] Miss California USA. her contract with

[34:29] them prohibits her from being quote

[34:32] photographed in a state of partial or

[34:34] total nudity

[34:35] >> that possibly could lead to her being

[34:37] stripped of her crown.

[34:38] >> Along with Perez Hilton, Claudia Jordan

[34:40] was a judge at the MissUSA pageant.

[34:42] >> I personally wouldn't strip her of the

[34:44] crown because I believe that uh you know

[34:48] we give her a warning on this one, maybe

[34:50] a little slap on the wrist. We caught up

[34:52] with pageant owner Donald Trump at a

[34:54] fashion event at the Metropolitan Museum

[34:56] of Art in New York City and asked him

[34:58] about Miss California.

[35:00] >> Well, she's certainly on a crusade.

[35:01] There's no question about it. And she

[35:03] was just stating her beliefs and it's

[35:04] become a very big topic. So, let's see

[35:07] how it all comes out.

[35:09] >> Elizabeth Edwards says she has seen the

[35:11] pictures of that little girl rumored to

[35:13] be the love child of her husband John,

[35:15] but she says she has no idea if the

[35:17] child is his. Now, Inside Edition has

[35:20] obtained the first video of the toddler

[35:21] at the center of the controversy. Here's

[35:23] Paul Boyd's exclusive report.

[35:26] >> It's John Edwards ex-mistress. Today,

[35:29] Inside Edition caught up exclusively

[35:31] with Realel Hunter and shot the first

[35:33] video of her daughter Francis Quinn.

[35:36] Hunter, who had an affair with Edwards

[35:38] in 2006 while producing web

[35:40] documentaries for his presidential

[35:42] campaign, continues to remain silent

[35:44] about the political sex scandal. Miss

[35:46] Hunter, is there anything you'd like to

[35:47] say today?

[35:48] >> With her hair pulled back, Hunter looks

[35:50] like an everyday mom, carefully tucking

[35:52] her daughter into a car seat in her BMW,

[35:55] still with North Carolina plates. This

[35:57] is the house in the town of South

[35:59] Orange, New Jersey, where Realel Hunter

[36:01] and her baby are living with a friend.

[36:03] The single family home in this quiet

[36:06] middle-class neighborhood is said to be

[36:08] worth about $700,000.

[36:10] These are far more modest accommodations

[36:13] than the multi-million dollar mansion

[36:15] outside Santa Barbara where Riel was

[36:17] living just 9 months ago when news of

[36:20] the scandal broke. Now she's living with

[36:22] this woman, Mimi Hawkman, who ironically

[36:25] was her business partner during the

[36:27] production of the Edwards videos. Here's

[36:29] another look at little Francis Quinn,

[36:32] now more than a year and three months

[36:33] old. Edwards denies that he's the father

[36:36] of the beautiful toddler. And now his

[36:38] wife Elizabeth is speaking out for the

[36:41] first time about the paternity

[36:42] speculation in an interview with Oprah.

[36:45] >> The other woman has a baby and there is

[36:47] great speculation that your husband John

[36:49] Edwards is the father of that baby.

[36:51] >> Right. That's what I understand. I've

[36:54] seen a picture of the baby. I have no

[36:55] idea. It doesn't look like my children,

[36:57] but I don't have any idea. Elizabeth,

[36:59] who's suffering from incurable cancer,

[37:01] again displays incredible bravery,

[37:04] managing to smile when describing her

[37:06] husband's first encounter with Hunter.

[37:09] >> John had said is this woman had spotted

[37:10] him in the hotel in which he was

[37:12] staying. He was meeting with someone.

[37:13] Then John had gone to dinner and then he

[37:15] had walked back to the hotel and when he

[37:17] walked back she was standing in front of

[37:19] the hotel uh and said to him um you are

[37:22] so hot I can't deliver it cuz I don't

[37:24] know how you deliver such a line as that

[37:26] but you know you are so hot are the

[37:28] words she said to him.

[37:29] >> Elizabeth is earning praise for opening

[37:31] up about the affair in her memoir

[37:33] Resilience. But Washington Post

[37:35] columnist Sally Quinn is criticizing

[37:38] Elizabeth for enabling her husband's

[37:40] immoral behavior. You write in your

[37:42] column that nobody has more respect for

[37:45] Elizabeth Edwards than yourself. Yet,

[37:47] this is a somewhat critical article uh

[37:50] of her and and her decisions.

[37:52] >> I wrote at the time, and I still feel

[37:54] this way, that it was a complete

[37:55] disaster for John Edwards to run for

[37:58] president. And I will never understand

[38:00] how she could have allowed that to

[38:01] happen. I just don't get it. She had to

[38:04] know that it would come out because it

[38:06] always comes out. And suppose he had

[38:08] won. She knew, I mean, not only the

[38:10] damage it was going to do to him, to

[38:13] her, but also to her own children and

[38:15] not to mention to the country and to the

[38:17] Democratic parties.

[38:18] >> Edwards himself makes an appearance in

[38:21] the Oprah interview airing Thursday.

[38:23] It's the first video of the couple

[38:24] together since Edwards admitted to

[38:26] having an affair last August. Though

[38:28] Elizabeth still appears to look at her

[38:30] husband adoringly, she has trouble

[38:32] answering if she's still in love with

[38:34] him.

[38:36] Is there a double standard in the White

[38:38] House press room? When President Obama

[38:40] appeared at a White House press briefing

[38:41] the other day, you may have noticed that

[38:43] reporters stood up when he entered the

[38:44] room. But that hasn't always been the

[38:46] case for Mr. Obama's predecessor.

[38:49] >> Can I also have a uh a mushroom and

[38:52] Swiss burger?

[38:53] >> President Obama buys burgers for lunch

[38:56] Tuesday, not just for himself and the

[38:58] vice president, but for a gaggle of

[39:00] White House reporters.

[39:01] >> You guys are cheap eggs, though. I can't

[39:03] believe I shouldn't get more people to

[39:04] order a burger.

[39:05] >> Obama's apparently cozy relationship

[39:08] with the media is causing an uproar.

[39:11] >> I'm sorry to give screwing this thing

[39:13] up.

[39:13] >> Friday, he made a surprise appearance at

[39:15] the White House briefing room and the

[39:17] press corps respectfully stands.

[39:19] >> Please everybody have a seat.

[39:20] >> But look at this.

[39:22] >> Good morning.

[39:23] >> When President Bush appeared in the same

[39:25] briefing room last year, nobody stood.

[39:28] And several months before that, again,

[39:31] nobody stands.

[39:33] >> Good morning.

[39:33] >> The apparent difference between the way

[39:35] the White House press corps treated

[39:37] President Bush and President Obama is

[39:40] causing a fur.

[39:41] >> The only thing that surprised me through

[39:43] all of this is that the press was able

[39:44] to hold back their applause during

[39:46] President Obama's grand entrance.

[39:49] >> It could certainly be perceived as media

[39:51] bias if people don't know that the press

[39:53] corps has has stood up for other

[39:55] presidents in the past. uh if they only

[39:58] saw that alone.

[40:00] >> Sometimes reporters did stand up for

[40:02] President Bush as in this final

[40:04] appearance in the White House briefing

[40:06] room in January and sometimes they

[40:08] didn't.

[40:10] >> This was also President Obama's first

[40:13] visit to the briefing room.

[40:14] >> It was really a sign of respect for his

[40:16] first appearance in the briefing room. I

[40:18] don't think we'll see that in the

[40:20] future.

[40:20] >> Please everybody have a seat.

[40:22] >> And we'd like to hear from you on this

[40:24] one. Call us at 800296-2446

[40:27] for our question. Do you think there is

[40:28] a pro- Obama media bias? We'd like to

[40:31] hear your opinion. Rihanna in a tuxedo.

[40:34] Madonna and what appeared to be rabbit

[40:36] ears. Tom Brady and Jazelle Bunin pretty

[40:38] much looking like the king and queen of

[40:39] the prom. All of this was on the red

[40:41] carpet at the biggest fashion event of

[40:43] the year. It's a Metropolitan Museum of

[40:44] Arts annual costume institute gala here

[40:47] in New York. April Woodard with all the

[40:49] fashion dish. Rihanna made her first big

[40:52] red carpet event since her boyfriend

[40:54] drama. Wearing Dolce Cabana's black

[40:57] bubble shoulder tuxedo.

[40:59] Madonna amped it up in Louis Vuitton's

[41:01] corset dress, bunny ears, and thigh high

[41:04] boots. She chatted with her friends

[41:06] Jerry Seinfeld and his wife Jessica.

[41:08] It's called the party of the year, a red

[41:11] carpet event that rivals the Academy

[41:13] Awards. Eva Menddees, the new face of

[41:15] Calvin Klein, wore who else? And was

[41:18] quite frank about her outfit. these

[41:20] jewels and this beautiful dress and

[41:22] everything. It's all borrowed and it

[41:23] will all go back in the morning.

[41:24] >> Justin Timberlake, who co-hosted the

[41:26] party, wore his own design while

[41:28] girlfriend Jessica Beal came in Versace

[41:31] and glistening diamonds. The world's top

[41:33] models were everywhere celebrating the

[41:36] New York Metropolitan Museum of Arts

[41:38] exhibit on models and fashion. Kate Moss

[41:41] wore a gold backless dress and turban.

[41:44] Tyra Banks was towering in a strapless

[41:46] gown.

[41:47] >> Tell me who you're wearing. I'm wearing

[41:49] this.

[41:50] >> Newlyweds Jazelle Bunchon and Tom Brady

[41:52] were the king and queen of the prom. She

[41:54] wore the shortest Versace. Hot young

[41:57] singer Sierra in Poochie gave me a warm

[42:00] greeting.

[42:00] >> Oh my gosh. Yeah. I'm just like having

[42:02] fun, enjoying the moment. Stella.

[42:04] >> Stella. Hello.

[42:07] >> Kate Hudson and Liv Tyler were happy to

[42:10] sing the praises of designer Stella

[42:12] McCartney who dressed them.

[42:13] >> WE'RE JUST HAPPY TO BE TOGETHER. We're

[42:15] having the most. We've been getting

[42:16] ready since like 2:00 today, listening

[42:18] to music and drinking champagne.

[42:20] >> Eva Longoria hugged supermodel Iman and

[42:23] was delighted to see Jessica Alba. For

[42:25] this desperate housewife, it was a date

[42:28] night with hubby Tony Parker.

[42:30] >> For us, we still feel like we're on our

[42:31] honeymoon.

[42:32] >> It was also date night for Alba, who

[42:34] gave me a rundown on her life these

[42:36] days.

[42:37] >> Hanging out with family mostly, to be

[42:39] honest with you.

[42:41] >> Heidi Clume wore a strapless Jill

[42:43] Mandel. She is four months pregnant.

[42:45] >> Any names for the baby yet?

[42:47] >> We do have names for boys and girls.

[42:49] Yeah, but you know, we don't know what

[42:51] it is yet, but you know, they might

[42:52] still change.

[42:54] >> Tables at the event cost as much as

[42:56] $150,000.

[42:59] >> Next,

[43:01] you've heard from the ex-husband of TV's

[43:03] The Cougar. Now, for the first time,

[43:06] what she says about him.

[43:08] >> I'm really upset right now.

[43:09] >> Then, Julia Roberts in a bikini. Plus, a

[43:13] beautiful new house deliberately

[43:15] demolished.

[43:17] It's never been lived in. Now it goes

[43:20] down in dust. What possible reason could

[43:43] labels are shouting at me. Where do I go

[43:47] to Albertson's? The only place there's

[45:44] >> Melissa Ryfraftoft is back on Dancing

[45:47] with the Stars. Ryfra, who was famously

[45:49] dumped on TV's The Bachelor, missed last

[45:52] week's show because of a rib injury, but

[45:54] look at her now dancing a sexy samba.

[45:57] >> 10.

[45:59] She got a perfect score backstage. She

[46:02] explained how she danced through the

[46:04] pain.

[46:05] >> I have a patch that I have been putting

[46:06] on my ribs that numbs the the whole

[46:08] area.

[46:08] >> But Melissa did have a slight wardrobe

[46:11] malfunction. After her dance, cameras

[46:13] cut to the audience because Melissa

[46:15] puffed out of her skimpy top. She looked

[46:18] more surprised than anyone.

[46:22] They've been divorced for years, but

[46:24] there is still apparently a lot of bad

[46:26] blood between the woman starring as the

[46:27] Cougar and her ex-husband. You've heard

[46:30] the charges Steve Anderson has made

[46:32] against his ex. Well, in this exclusive

[46:34] interview, she says she thinks he's

[46:36] making things up.

[46:38] >> I would consider myself a great mom.

[46:40] >> That's Stacy Anderson, the cougar,

[46:42] defending herself to Inside Edition.

[46:44] She's hitting back at her ex-husband's

[46:46] claims that she's not the mom she

[46:48] pretends to be as she prowls for men

[46:50] half her age on TV Land's hit reality

[46:53] show, The Cougar.

[46:54] >> She was so absent uh at their school

[46:57] functions, their their games, and it

[46:59] just killed me, and I was always making

[47:01] uh excuses for to the kids. Oh, I bet

[47:04] mom just really busy.

[47:05] >> Steve Anderson says Stacy has been

[47:07] largely an absentee parent since they

[47:09] divorced in 2002 after 10 years of

[47:12] marriage. I've shed many tears with my

[47:14] kids over this.

[47:15] >> He says he got full custody of their son

[47:17] and two daughters.

[47:18] >> You know, she waltzes in every so often.

[47:21] >> Anderson says that for nearly 5 years

[47:23] after the divorce, Stacy lived only 30

[47:26] minutes away, but rarely stopped by to

[47:29] see her kids. So, they were thrilled

[47:31] when she asked them to be on the TV

[47:32] show.

[47:33] >> There was nothing I could do to stop

[47:34] that uh cuz she's their mom.

[47:36] >> And he told us he was shocked when she

[47:38] asked him to be on the show, too. They

[47:41] wanted me to uh evaluate these young

[47:42] boys and see which one I thought would

[47:44] make uh the best um stepfather. And I

[47:48] actually joked and said, you know, maybe

[47:50] which one would be the best stepson.

[47:53] >> So, what does Stacy Anderson say about

[47:55] everything her ex-husband has told us,

[47:57] including that she owes $30,000 in back

[48:00] child support and was drawn to younger

[48:02] men even during their marriage.

[48:04] >> I'm really upset right now. I'm really

[48:06] um shaken up by what he has said.

[48:09] Tomorrow, the Cougar strikes back.

[48:12] >> Join us on Inside Edition as our

[48:14] exclusive interview with Stacy Anderson

[48:16] continues. She defends herself against

[48:17] her ex's claims. Here's a preview.

[48:20] >> The cougar bears her claws. Next, Inside

[48:23] Edition. Exclusive. The star of the

[48:26] Cougar TV show strikes back at

[48:28] accusations made by her ex-husband.

[48:30] >> He absolutely is making things up.

[48:33] >> What kind of a mom is she? Was she

[48:35] always on the prow? Who's telling the

[48:38] truth? Watch the next Inside Edition.

[48:41] >> There is encouraging news on the housing

[48:43] front. Home sales were up slightly last

[48:45] month for the second month in a row and

[48:47] the demand for mortgages is up for the

[48:49] first time since early 2007. But it all

[48:52] comes too late for this neighborhood. As

[48:54] Jim Ray reports, it is being destroyed

[48:56] because it's cheaper to tear it down

[48:58] than to finish these homes.

[49:04] Believe it or not, these are brand new

[49:06] homes, never lived in, and they're being

[49:08] torn down right before our eyes. And the

[49:11] reason will shock you. The home's

[49:14] developer went bankrupt before they

[49:16] could finish all the homes. Since many

[49:18] were partially built, it would have cost

[49:20] the bank over a million dollars to bring

[49:22] them up to code. Incredibly, the bank

[49:24] decided it made more sense to take these

[49:26] finished homes, complete with water,

[49:29] power, paint, wallpaper, and tear them

[49:32] down rather than try to sell them. This

[49:35] house was one of the model homes with

[49:37] granite countertops and tiled floors.

[49:40] Even the walls were painted. At the peak

[49:42] of the real estate market, this house

[49:44] would have sold for nearly $400,000.

[49:47] Today, it's worth perhaps $120,000, but

[49:50] that's not enough to save it. And we're

[49:53] looking at homes being destroyed.

[49:55] Perfectly good homes,

[49:57] >> brand new. Four of them completely done.

[49:59] They even had the appliances in them.

[50:02] >> Rather than have model homes in the

[50:04] middle of nowhere, the bank is quoted as

[50:06] saying they'd rather clear the land and

[50:08] start over. But real estate investor

[50:10] Danny Christian says the bank's actions

[50:12] don't make sense to him.

[50:14] >> What possible reason could you have to

[50:17] tear down a completed house?

[50:19] >> In my opinion, none. Now, as demolition

[50:22] crews put rubble into piles, we see this

[50:24] dramatic example of the American dream

[50:27] of home ownership come crashing down.

[52:13] >> For most people, retirement seems really

[52:15] far off. But if you set aside just a

[52:17] little money today, it can pay off big

[52:19] time down the road. Take this example.

[52:21] Say you just turned 20 and you like

[52:23] getting that $3 cup of coffee every day.

[52:25] But if you took that same $3 and put it

[52:27] to work in an investment plan earning

[52:29] around 8%, you'd have around 300 grand

[52:32] saved up by the time you're 65. Now, if

[52:34] you waited until you were 35 to start

[52:35] saving those same three bucks, you'd

[52:37] only have a third of that. It makes

[52:39] playing catch-up later in life really

[52:40] hard. The best way to get started is to

[52:43] use direct deposit. Don't cash your

[52:44] paycheck. Then you can set up automatic

[52:47] monthly transfers to your savings or IRA

[52:49] account. That way, you don't even have

[52:51] to think about it. Sounds pretty easy,

[52:53] doesn't it?
