[11:49] reason I called my uh my it in the house

[11:55] because as soon as I went to the another

[11:57] page I couldn't scroll back up and I

[11:59] said what did I do and my I called my

[12:02] wife she goes what happened I said uh I

[12:03] lost my sermon and she goes what that

[12:07] was

[12:08] yesterday and uh she goes how'd you do

[12:11] that and I said I don't know I just did

[12:14] and so we went through it and well we

[12:17] put our both our heads together still

[12:18] came up with nothing so uh I said well

[12:22] let me pray and see what God does and

[12:24] here's what God did so we'll see what

[12:26] happens and for some reason I don't know

[12:29] it's God's will to be done so U let's go

[12:35] Philippians the book of Philippians

[12:54] you and uh for the last two weeks I've

[12:59] servitude and we've been seeing it and

[13:01] we've been seeing the difference in

[13:03] having a heart for the things of God and

[13:06] serving without the heart for the things

[13:08] of God there's a big difference and as

[13:11] we read in this verse here we're going

[13:13] to go ahead and read then I'm going to

[13:15] pray then we're going to get into it so

[13:17] please pray for me as I pray as I read I

[13:19] mean as I preach up here and U pray that

[13:22] God would use me in a great way to

[13:24] deliver this message according to his

[13:25] will Philippians 2:1 19-21 I'll have you

[13:29] you sit you don't have to stand for this

[13:35] 29-21 says but I trust this is Paul

[13:38] talking the Church of Philippi but I

[13:40] trust in the Lord Jesus to send

[13:43] timotheus shortly unto you that I also

[13:48] may be of good Comfort he was troubled

[13:51] he's in prison okay so he's writing this

[13:54] letter this epistle and he's he's

[13:58] troubled for the

[14:00] church and he's he's making the

[14:02] statement he says so that I also may be

[14:04] of comfort of good Comfort when I know

[14:07] your

[14:08] state for I have no man 22 likeminded

[14:13] who will naturally care for your

[14:16] state think about this Paul's in

[14:21] prison and what he has in his mind is

[14:23] the

[14:24] church and what's going on with the

[14:27] church because he don't know how they

[14:29] are he wants to know their state he

[14:31] wants to know what's happening he wants

[14:33] to know if they're still encouraged he

[14:35] wants to know if they're going forward

[14:36] he wants to know what's going on is it

[14:38] growing what's going on I need to know

[14:40] it's bothering me I'm

[14:43] concerned I want to know what's going

[14:47] on and he says when I know your state

[14:50] I'll be of good Comfort to know where

[14:52] you're at I I'm hoping it's something

[14:54] good I'm hoping you're going forward I'm

[14:55] hoping you're encouraged I'm hoping

[14:57] you're growing I'm hoping this so I can

[15:01] be of good good comfort and I it will

[15:03] take away this troubled mind that I have

[15:05] knowing not knowing what's going on with

[15:07] the church and he says he says for I

[15:10] have no man likeminded who will

[15:12] naturally care for your

[15:14] state Paul has a concern for this church

[15:18] he's needing to send somebody he's

[15:20] sending timotheus

[15:22] Timothy because he can't find anybody

[15:25] else that has a concern for the state of

[15:28] the church

[15:30] think about that let's pray father God

[15:32] we thank you we thank you so much for

[15:34] allowing me to allowing us to be here

[15:35] tonight father we ask that you put your

[15:37] hand above us dear Lord above this

[15:39] church house dear Lord and protect us

[15:41] father through the storm father that's

[15:42] coming in dear Lord I pray that you

[15:44] would just say peace be still and we

[15:46] just get the rains dear Lord no hail no

[15:48] damaging winds no tornadoes nothing like

[15:51] that dear Lord let us get the tropical

[15:53] rain that you've always comforted us

[15:55] with father let the let the Earth father

[15:57] get some moisture in it we need it

[15:59] dearly dear Lord but we don't need the

[16:01] the damage that can come with it dear

[16:03] Lord I just pray that your hand will be

[16:04] upon us father the peace of God would be

[16:06] upon us in a great way dear Lord and

[16:08] father I pray that you hide me behind

[16:10] the cross to deliver your message this

[16:14] father as he's back there teaching your

[16:15] word dear Lord and being a blessing to

[16:17] the young adults back there dear Lord

[16:19] and doing what you would have them to do

[16:20] dear lord it's something that's needed

[16:22] something that needs to be taught

[16:23] something that needs to be said father

[16:25] to to live according to your will dear

[16:27] Lord I just pray father you be with both

[16:29] of us father help us to do your will

[16:30] tonight dear Lord father God and if

[16:32] someone father here for any reason

[16:35] father their heart is being trouble

[16:37] father they need to bow down before you

[16:38] father to Humble themselves before you

[16:40] father allow it to be done if there's

[16:41] one here that's not saved allow allow

[16:44] them to come to that lost to understand

[16:45] that lost condition father and accept

[16:47] Jesus Christ as their lord and savior

[16:48] and to to recognize their lost day dear

[16:50] Lord I just pray that your will be done

[16:52] father and that you would speak through

[16:54] me and use me only as a vessel father

[16:56] deliver your message accordingly father

[17:10] would love to meet in heaven other than

[17:12] Jesus himself would be Paul and

[17:15] Stephen two men that I felt in my

[17:20] heart basically were surrendered to God

[17:23] their whole heart was given to what they

[17:25] were doing they had a concern they had a

[17:29] love for

[17:30] people and I see this in Paul and I see

[17:33] this in Stephen these are two men I

[17:34] would love to meet one day God willing

[17:36] when we when we meet in heaven but Paul

[17:39] here's concern for the Church of

[17:41] Philippi he says for there's no man

[17:44] likeminded there was in chapter two let

[17:46] me just read to you there was aphodius

[17:49] epaphroditus he was a young man he was a

[17:51] fellow worker with Paul he could have

[17:54] sent him but this young man was sick

[17:57] sick to the point of almost dying

[18:00] but he still wanted to go he wanted to

[18:02] go instead of Timothy but Paul said I

[18:04] can't he can't go because if I go he

[18:07] ain't going to make it he's dying but

[18:09] he's willing to go to see what's going

[18:11] on with the church he was concerned also

[18:13] but Paul didn't allow it to be done this

[18:16] man was serving God till almost death

[18:18] and he was still going to get up and go

[18:19] and do what Paul needed to do but Paul

[18:21] said Paul didn't want him to Paul wanted

[18:24] to send Timothy instead Timothy was

[18:27] going to go out there and Paul was

[18:28] thinking hope hopefully I'll be out of

[18:30] here by God's grace to be able to go see

[18:32] it myself but Paul wanted to

[18:38] go himself he senss Timothy because he

[18:41] had nobody else that was concerned for

[18:43] the state of the

[18:45] church Paul's heart shows concern for

[18:48] the Church of Philippi while in prison

[18:49] he wanted to know how they were doing

[18:51] Philippi was a church that Timothy and

[18:54] Paul started they planted his heart was

[18:56] troubled because he needed to know if

[18:59] that they were all right he could not

[19:00] find another servant that was

[19:02] like-minded to send and check on the

[19:03] church no

[19:05] likeminded with a servant's heart for

[19:09] Christ this is nobody likeminded but yet

[19:11] claiming Christianity he's talking among

[19:13] themselves he's talking about people

[19:15] Christians that he could rely on but yet

[19:17] nobody was concerned he couldn't find

[19:21] one that was like-minded some someone

[19:23] that was truly in love with Christ to

[19:26] care for the people of Christ

[19:30] that's pretty sad when

[19:32] Christians don't have a heart for

[19:35] Jesus that's it's not that's not only

[19:37] sad it's it's it's a bad testimony for

[19:40] what we who we who we believe

[19:43] in you know a

[19:47] servant for Christ needs to have a love

[19:50] for Christ no matter

[19:52] what even though it's possible to serve

[19:55] without a servant's heart it's

[19:56] impossible to have a servant's heart and

[19:58] not to

[19:59] serve having a servant's heart means

[20:02] that you like to serve it doesn't mean

[20:05] that at all times that you enjoy getting

[20:07] filthy or sweaty or that you consider

[20:10] your work to be fun even though it can

[20:14] at

[20:15] times it means that your love for others

[20:17] and that your desire to do the thing to

[20:19] do things for them outweighs any

[20:23] inconveniences or any

[20:25] comfort while you have a when you have a

[20:28] servant's heart you may not like cooking

[20:31] for example but you'll gladly spend all

[20:34] day in the kitchen making desserts to

[20:35] sell a

[20:37] fundraiser right you may not enjoy

[20:39] making conversation some people do not

[20:42] like to talk to other people they have

[20:44] this shyness about them I I I don't

[20:48] understand

[20:49] this Christianity is not

[20:52] that I of any of anybody in here I could

[20:57] not be doing what I'm doing now it

[20:58] wasn't for God why because when I used

[21:01] to do book reports at school I hated

[21:04] that I had to stand in front of people

[21:06] why because I could feel the shift of my

[21:08] color my the color of my face was

[21:10] going it started turning red why because

[21:13] I couldn't stand I couldn't stand in

[21:15] front of people I couldn't talk in front

[21:16] of people and I I would get

[21:20] nervous to not be able to talk and

[21:22] Converse with others as a

[21:25] Christian you better get on your knees

[21:27] and pray God will make it happen I

[21:30] guarantee you that much you know you may

[21:34] not enjoy making a conversation but

[21:35] you'll still volunteer to counsel others

[21:38] going through tough times you may not

[21:40] want to exhaust get exhausted or or go

[21:43] outside and and get a sunburn but you'll

[21:46] spend your weekend helping repair houses

[21:48] in the sun

[21:50] anyway because you know it's worth it

[21:52] because you know that serving that

[21:54] helping and caring for others will bring

[21:56] a greater B will bring far greater

[21:59] blessings to everyone involved that if

[22:02] you didn't serve you yes you wouldn't

[22:05] have gotten so

[22:07] tired you would have had no more time

[22:10] for yourself you would have been more

[22:12] comfortable and avoided the pain and

[22:15] stress of hard work whether physical or

[22:18] emotional but you did it because of your

[22:22] love for God and love for others that's

[22:25] a servant's heart that's a person that's

[22:27] a Christian heart that's what it should

[22:30] be we don't get tired when it comes to

[22:33] serving others serving God we shouldn't

[22:37] the Bible says don't get weary and

[22:38] well-doing well that's what he's talking

[22:39] about when it comes to service for God

[22:42] we should be willing we should be

[22:44] willing to go not not willing to do it

[22:47] just because we're told but willing to

[22:49] do it because we love God and we love

[22:53] others

[22:55] Paul had a servant's heart

[22:59] Paul had a love for people if we look if

[23:02] we go to chapter one we're going to look

[23:04] at that we're going to start a chapter

[23:06] in verse

[23:07] one and you'll see here Paul says ver in

[23:10] chapter chapter one verse one he says

[23:13] Paul and timotheus the Servants of Jesus

[23:17] Christ first of all if you notice he

[23:18] said the Servants of who Jesus Christ he

[23:22] didn't say the Servants of anyone else

[23:24] he didn't say in service with anybody he

[23:26] said the Servants of Jesus

[23:29] Christ he knew who they were serving he

[23:33] knew who he was

[23:35] serving he said he calls himself a

[23:38] servant of Jesus Christ he was claiming

[23:40] to be devoted he a devoted follower to

[23:43] Christ and to be owned by

[23:46] Christ and and he serves others in a

[23:50] selfless way just like Christ there's no

[23:53] selfishness in the statement that he

[23:55] makes why because there's no selfishness

[23:57] in Christ

[23:59] there's no room for that when you're a

[24:02] Christian your attitude for Christ and

[24:05] your attitude for others should be

[24:06] selfless it ain't about you anymore

[24:10] you've been bought with a price you've

[24:11] been given to God he bought you you

[24:15] don't belong to yourself anymore what

[24:17] God tells you that's what we do

[24:20] now this right here is a guide a

[24:23] director a a a basically a directive to

[24:26] us to do the will of God

[24:29] this is the word of God this is his

[24:30] commands what he says we do why we've

[24:33] been bought with a price a big price

[24:37] that not all of us would have ever been

[24:38] able to do he's the ultimate sacrifice

[24:41] Jesus sacrificed himself for us he gave

[24:44] his life for us now we belong to God if

[24:47] we're

[24:48] saved if we claim Christianity we belong

[24:51] to him we're a follower of Christ we

[24:53] should be a servant of Christ as Paul

[24:57] said here

[25:00] Paul a servant of Christ shows love to

[25:02] others by serving them volunteering

[25:04] donating and looking out for their needs

[25:07] a servant is humble before God and lays

[25:11] down their preferences and hopes for the

[25:14] greater good which is of god and for

[25:18] God a servant is committed to their walk

[25:22] with God and pleasing

[25:24] God Paul not only addresses himself as a

[25:28] servant and he addresses it to all the

[25:30] saints of

[25:31] Philippi he was making sure no one was

[25:33] left

[25:34] out as a servant you should try to let

[25:38] all church members know that you care

[25:39] for them and not just a certain few why

[25:44] because our servant for God is an

[25:45] all-inclusive

[25:48] ministry that's what what it is right

[25:50] here we can't look to one and not look

[25:54] to the other in the same

[25:55] way the level at the cross cross is the

[26:00] the ground at the cross is level that

[26:02] means none of us are better than anybody

[26:05] else there's no one here holier than

[26:08] thou because without Christ you ain't

[26:11] holy what makes you holy is him

[26:14] himself so at the cross it's level we're

[26:17] all the

[26:19] same it's an all-inclusive

[26:23] Ministry we look to each other anytime

[26:27] when we look at each other we understand

[26:28] that what we do for God should be

[26:30] together in every way if we truly have a

[26:34] servant's

[26:37] heart when you have a servant's heart

[26:40] you call people ask them how they're

[26:42] doing you text people ask them how

[26:45] they're doing you talk to them ask them

[26:48] how they're doing if anybody comes to

[26:50] church as

[26:53] Christians I can see except for some

[26:56] that we've been here a long time

[26:58] you know we know each other I know

[27:01] brother Billy I know I've known her

[27:04] since you little I know Matthew I love

[27:07] Matthew Matthew's crazy but I love him

[27:10] thank God for you with the enthusiasm

[27:11] that he has I love it Samuel and you and

[27:23] here why because that's how we should

[27:26] be if we have a servant's heart for

[27:30] God we don't look at each other in any

[27:38] all about you and walk in and not greet

[27:48] now the best thing you can

[27:51] do is go to an older Elder older than

[27:56] you shake their hand ask

[27:59] doing why you'll make their

[28:01] day you know I was walking I was doing

[28:05] a years back right I was walking and

[28:08] we're going door knocking and I was in

[28:11] the South the north side of

[28:13] town and it was me and my daughter my

[28:15] oldest daughter which was little back

[28:17] then Desiree and U walked upon this

[28:20] house and there was an old man sitting

[28:22] outside and I walked and I talked to him

[28:25] asked him about his salvation talked to

[28:27] him about him to church had out a church

[28:28] and we started talking and I'll never

[28:31] forget we were talking for like 20 30

[28:34] minutes he had a lot to

[28:36] say but I got there and we started

[28:38] talking he had a lot to say I had to go

[28:41] because I had I I still had some more it

[28:43] was on for I believe it was Forman Road

[28:46] and uh there was more houses to

[28:48] visit but when I was leaving when I was

[28:51] leaving he said he looked at me he say

[28:53] Hey whenever you want to come back

[28:55] anytime during the week feel free if you

[28:57] see me outside come on we'll talk some

[28:59] more it made us day that and that time I

[29:03] was younger I was 15 year 20 years

[29:06] back it made us day that I was talking

[29:08] to them because they wanted to talk they

[29:11] love to talk I'm going to be one of them

[29:13] pretty

[29:14] soon but and I can't talk my wife says

[29:17] I'm a good road trip

[29:19] person but he wanted that because he

[29:21] enjoyed it people we need to love like

[29:24] that we need to have that kind of a

[29:26] servant's heart to talk to

[29:29] people Paul in verse two he says this he

[29:34] says well excuse me I'm going ahead of

[29:38] myself in verse one he says Servants of

[29:41] Jesus Christ to all the saints of in C

[29:44] in Jesus which are Philippi with the

[29:47] Bishops and the deacons all

[29:49] inclusive then he says Grace be unto you

[29:52] and peace from God our Father and from

[29:56] the Lord Jesus Christ

[29:58] he addresses everybody in the church and

[30:01] then he expresses a sincere greeting to

[30:03] the Church of Philippi a servant's heart

[30:06] expresses and he hopes that the hope of

[30:08] God's grace and peace will be with the

[30:11] Christian Saints of

[30:12] Philippi he wanted them to be good in

[30:14] the

[30:15] Lord he

[30:18] want and I just said this I went ahead

[30:20] of myself but really think about it when

[30:22] is the last time you actually went up to

[30:23] somebody and said hey how you doing

[30:26] brother everything good how's God how

[30:28] how's we walk with God I mean what's

[30:31] wrong with that to ask somebody that ask

[30:33] them hey you doing all right you need is

[30:35] there anything you need me to pray

[30:37] for is there anything I can pray for you

[30:39] with I can pray with you for I mean what

[30:42] is it something

[30:45] be show that you care show that you

[30:50] care Paul was hoping that everything

[30:52] they were good in Christ everything was

[30:54] good he was hoping that the grace of God

[30:57] and the peace of God was upon

[31:01] them he wanted them to be good in the

[31:04] Lord when you do that to someone not

[31:07] only say it or think about it but mean

[31:09] what you say to

[31:10] them actually concerned about their

[31:13] spiritual walk with

[31:15] God Paul was talking to his brothers and

[31:17] sisters in Christ and in knew it he had

[31:19] a love for

[31:22] them and there's no question whether he

[31:24] loved them or not he demonstrated his

[31:26] love towards them in in

[31:28] action yes it was just an epistle yes

[31:31] it's just a

[31:32] letter but a servant's heart was all

[36:11] an intimate relationship with God and if

[36:15] don't care to have a servant's heart

[36:18] Christianity is not about you anymore

[36:21] it's about

[36:22] God and if it's about God it's about

[36:24] souls and if it's about souls then the

[36:27] desire should be to see Souls get saved

[36:30] Paul was loving the fact that there was

[36:31] a church planted in in

[36:37] Philippi if all church members would

[36:40] have the heart for Souls as Paul had in

[36:43] his Epistles what could God do with this

[36:48] church this is how God wants us to wants

[36:54] thankful for our own church family if so

[41:58] confident of this very thing that he

[42:04] Jesus Christ Paul knew know let's put it

[42:09] this way Paul trusted in Jesus salvation

[42:11] he knew it solid he knew it was sealed

[42:14] he knew that they would grow in faith

[42:16] and Grace if they continued in Christ he

[42:18] knew that from the day they got saved

[42:21] Jesus started the sanctification

[42:24] process and it would continue until

[42:26] Jesus either comes back or he takes him

[42:29] home Paul knew that that's why he said

[42:31] I'm being confident that I know Jesus

[42:33] will do this and he started a good work

[42:36] in you when you got saved and he's going

[42:37] to continue to work in you till the day

[42:40] either you die or he come or he comes

[42:44] it Paul was confident in

[42:48] Jesus that's why he did what he do

[42:50] that's why he would pray that's why he

[42:51] would do the things he did Paul lived

[42:53] Proverbs 35 and 6 trust in the Lord with

[42:58] oh he says trust in the Lord lean not on

[43:01] thy own understanding in all thy ways

[43:03] acknowledge Him and He will direct your

[43:05] path okay trust in the Lord has nothing

[43:10] leaning on Paul's side he had confidence

[43:14] that when he when Jesus said it it was a

[43:16] done deal he understood that to trust in

[43:18] the Lord was mean meaning God's got it

[43:21] and I'm leaving it

[43:23] alone he knew that when he prayed for

[43:25] the church God heard him he knew that he

[43:27] took a request to God and God had it it

[43:30] was at the throne of grace because God

[43:32] expected that from Paul and Paul did it

[43:34] because Paul had a servant's

[43:41] heart verse S even as it is meat for me

[43:46] to think this of you all because I want

[43:48] you to see this because I have you in my

[43:55] heart and so much as my bond as Bond as

[43:59] both in my bonds and in the defense and

[44:01] confirmation of the Gospel ye all are

[44:03] partakers of my

[44:05] grace I have you in my heart if I say

[44:08] something like like that to someone

[44:11] myself if my wife knows me it's hard for

[44:15] me not to shed a

[44:17] tear especially when I mean

[45:17] someone that man has to tell me which he

[45:20] did that he was willing to die for her

[45:28] that's what it takes that's what it

[45:30] means to have someone in your heart when

[45:32] you think about them that way it brings

[45:34] a tear in your

[45:36] eye that's the kind of servant's heart

[45:39] Paul had he was thinking about a church

[45:43] that he planted that he loved that he

[45:45] was concerned

[45:46] for he says to them I have you in my

[45:49] heart because I feel you and I mean it

[45:53] Paul's love for the church was without

[45:55] dissimulation there was no hypocrisy in

[45:57] this statement he loved them because it

[46:00] was true it was in his heart he felt

[46:02] them he was worried for them it was

[46:05] without dissimulation it was

[46:07] real whatever cond condition he was in

[46:11] locked

[46:12] up at work making tents behind a Pulpit

[46:16] he was always thinking of

[46:18] them he knew they were now partakers of

[46:22] the same Grace the same electing

[46:24] redeeming adopting justifying pardoning

[46:27] and regeneration regenerating Grace as

[46:30] he

[46:31] was they have truly become part of his

[46:34] Heavenly Eternal family they had

[46:37] obtained the same like Precious faith in

[46:39] Christ and knowledge of him as he had

[46:42] but not to the same degree

[46:45] yet but they had already obtained it and

[46:48] he knew

[46:49] it he was looking at an eternal family

[46:52] that he was going to spend with them in

[46:55] heaven but while here on Earth he was

[46:57] worried for their

[46:59] state that's a servant's

[47:04] heart verse eight says this for God is

[47:08] my

[47:10] record how greatly I long after you all

[47:14] in the bowels of Jesus Christ

[47:17] W now this is where it's going to get

[47:20] kind of think about this a servant's

[47:24] heart something Paul had

[47:29] who's got record of

[47:32] that for God is my record

[47:43] witness to this God is the one that

[47:46] knows whether I'm real to him or not God

[47:50] is looking down on me he knows who I

[47:53] am God knows your heart

[48:06] saying if anybody knows who I am God

[48:10] does he is my record who better than God

[48:13] to testify on your behalf whether your

[48:16] service and love for God is

[48:19] real only God himself knows the heart of

[48:26] servant's heart if so can God testify to

[48:31] it being

[48:33] true he's got the report

[48:36] card I ask you can God testify on your

[48:41] behalf that your love for the church is

[48:44] real can God testify on your

[48:47] behalf that you truly want to see Soul

[48:51] Sav can God testify on your behalf that

[48:55] you truly want to please God can God

[48:59] testify on your behalf that you truly

[49:01] have a servant's heart a servant's heart

[49:04] serves with the attitude of

[49:08] love can God testify to that on you for

[49:12] you on your behalf a servant's heart

[49:16] serves with the attitude of love it

[49:18] suffereth

[49:22] kind it envieth not it vaunteth not

[49:29] up it's not it does not behave itself

[50:27] doing it with the attitude of love for

[50:29] him and love for others what is the

[50:32] first and second commandment love God

[50:36] others if you can't commit to that you

[50:38] might as well put the Bible

[50:40] away because God says he is should be

[50:43] your first love you should be directing

[50:45] it at him and when you direct it at him

[50:47] he works through you to direct it at

[50:49] others if others are not your concern

[50:51] God's not working that love God's not

[50:53] working that heart it's not a servant's

[50:56] heart Paul was because it was a love for

[50:58] God moved to

[51:00] others that's why Jesus says I want you

[51:03] to be a witness unto me it ricochets off

[51:08] you're a witness unto God it comes and

[51:55] having the Same Love being of one Accord

[52:00] mind let nothing be done in Strife or

[52:07] each esteem other better than themselves

[52:14] a servant's heart and he's saying this

[52:17] is where you have to be he says look not

[52:21] every man on his own things but every

[52:23] man also on the things of others

[52:30] aside let this mind be in you which was

[52:33] also in Christ Jesus who being in the

[52:35] form of God thought it not robbery to be

[52:38] equal with God but made himself of no

[52:41] reputation and took upon him the form of

[52:45] servant and was made in the likeness of

[52:48] men and being found in fashion as a man

[52:51] he humbled

[52:53] himself and became obedient unto death

[52:56] even the death of the

[52:59] Cross conclusion I close with this as a

[53:02] servant of Christ we need to die to S
