[0:19] and so we're in chapter 13 again today

[0:22] and we're going to be reading verses 11

[0:24] through 18

[0:25] of revelation 13. the bible says

[0:28] and i beheld another beast coming up out

[0:31] of the earth

[0:32] and he had two horns like a lamb and he

[0:35] spake

[0:35] as a dragon and he exerciseth all the

[0:38] power

[0:39] of the first beast before him and

[0:42] causeth the earth and them which dwell

[0:44] therein to worship the first beast whose

[0:46] deadly wound was healed

[0:48] and he doth great wonders so that he

[0:52] maketh fire come down from heaven on the

[0:54] earth in the sight of men

[0:56] and deceiveth them that dwell on the

[0:58] earth by means of those miracles which

[1:00] we had

[1:00] power to do in the sight of the beast

[1:04] saying to them that dwell on the earth

[1:06] they should make an image to the beast

[1:08] which had the wound by a sword and did

[1:10] live and he had power to give life under

[1:13] the image of the beast

[1:15] that the image of the beast should both

[1:16] speak and cause

[1:18] that as many as would not worship the

[1:21] image of the beast should be

[1:23] killed and he calls all both small and

[1:26] great

[1:27] rich and poor free and bond to receive a

[1:31] mark in their right hand

[1:32] or in their foreheads and that no man

[1:35] might buy

[1:36] or sell say if he had that had the mark

[1:40] or the name of the beast or the number

[1:42] of his name

[1:43] here is wisdom let him that hath

[1:46] understanding count the number of the

[1:47] beast

[1:48] for it is the number of a man and his

[1:51] number

[1:52] is 600 threescore

[1:55] and six let's have a word of prayer and

[1:58] we'll dive into our lesson today

[2:00] heavenly father lord we thank you for

[2:02] the opportunity to study your word

[2:04] lord we pray today as we dive into this

[2:07] section that you'd help us to

[2:09] clearly articulate and to illuminate our

[2:12] minds to the truths that are here

[2:14] we are thankful for all those that are

[2:16] watching this morning bless them for it

[2:18] lord in your name amen now we're going

[2:22] back to verse 11. it says i beheld

[2:24] another beast

[2:25] coming up out of the earth now this is

[2:28] different

[2:29] than the beast in chapter 13 verse

[2:31] number one who came up out of the sand

[2:33] of the sea

[2:34] so this is a different beast now we use

[2:37] the term beast because that's the word

[2:39] there they believe the greek where

[2:40] there's therion

[2:41] so the beast the first one we talked

[2:43] about in two weeks

[2:44] last couple weeks has been the

[2:47] antichrist

[2:48] and the antichrist is that first beast

[2:51] who came out of the sand of the sea

[2:52] the sea of humanity now we do believe

[2:56] that john as he's writing

[2:58] on the isle of patmos may have had the

[3:00] view of the

[3:01] surrounding sea around him and could

[3:04] possibly have been looking at

[3:05] the mediterranean sea and been looking

[3:08] across

[3:09] and thinking of the european nations

[3:11] that were there but again

[3:12] that's speculation what we know the

[3:15] bible does say is that he rises out of

[3:17] the sand of the sea

[3:18] and we know that to be humanity the

[3:21] antichrist

[3:21] rises out of the sea of humanity he

[3:23] comes to power

[3:25] and this beast comes out of the earth

[3:27] now this is

[3:28] the what is called the false prophet

[3:31] he's not the antichrist

[3:33] but the false prophet will find

[3:35] references to him

[3:37] in future chapters in chapter 16 verse

[3:39] 13

[3:40] and chapter 19 verse 20 in chapter 20

[3:43] verse 10

[3:44] all reference the false prophet and in

[3:47] those

[3:47] references we find this man who's

[3:50] mentioned

[3:50] as the second beast so he comes

[3:54] out of the earth now there are many

[3:56] different views of what that phrase

[3:58] out of the earth means some believe it

[4:01] to mean that out of the earth

[4:03] references that he is jewish in

[4:06] his genealogy i don't find that

[4:09] in scripture they say that because

[4:13] they reference the sand of the sea that

[4:15] the antichrist has to be a gentile

[4:18] that is coming from those european

[4:20] nations again

[4:21] where the bible is not clear we should

[4:25] not

[4:25] make clear distinctions so i believe

[4:29] that the bible here is teaching that

[4:31] he's going to arise from mankind out of

[4:33] the earth

[4:34] now you'll say well i've heard that

[4:36] phrase before out of the earth

[4:38] but that was in chapter 11 it referenced

[4:41] the bottomless

[4:42] pit and it talked about the angel

[4:43] albeiteon than a napoleon that came

[4:46] out of the bottomless pit he came

[4:49] up out of the earth out of the bottom of

[4:52] the spit

[4:53] this reference here out of the earth is

[4:56] different than that reference

[4:58] and so it's not that the false prophet

[5:00] comes out crawls out from the bottomless

[5:02] pit

[5:03] but otherwise we could say that he comes

[5:06] from

[5:06] humanity the people that are on the

[5:09] earth

[5:10] at that time and so we have the

[5:12] antichrist we've got the false prophet

[5:15] now here's a description of this false

[5:17] prophet now he has

[5:19] two horns like a lamb and he spake

[5:22] as a dragon now when we looked at the

[5:25] antichrist a few weeks ago

[5:27] he had a totally different description

[5:29] did he not

[5:30] i believe it said in verse number one it

[5:32] said that he came out of the sand of the

[5:34] sea

[5:35] and saw a beast rise up out of the sea

[5:37] having seven

[5:38] heads and ten horns upon his horn ten

[5:41] crowns and upon his head

[5:43] the name of blasphemy and we did a whole

[5:45] video series a few weeks back

[5:46] on just verse one and verse two of

[5:49] chapter thirteen

[5:50] but here we find he's got two horns like

[5:53] a lamb

[5:54] that's speaking of his religious nature

[5:57] he's going to be a prophet

[5:59] and he's religious the lamb being there

[6:02] and then also he spake is a dragon

[6:04] significant of his power so he's

[6:07] a prophet but he's got false power from

[6:10] satan so he's the false prophet

[6:14] there the dragon references his satanic

[6:16] leadership

[6:18] so notice though as it continues on he

[6:20] exerciseth

[6:22] all the power of the first beast before

[6:24] him

[6:25] and he causes the earth and then that

[6:27] dwell thereon

[6:29] therein to worship the first beast whose

[6:31] deadly wound was healed

[6:33] so the false prophet completes this

[6:36] trinity of satanic influence

[6:39] satan trying to be god the antichrist

[6:43] being the counterfeit christ

[6:45] and then now the false prophet being an

[6:48] a

[6:48] terrible instance of the type of work of

[6:51] the holy spirit

[6:52] but you'll find these three trying to

[6:55] persuade mankind we'll talk more about

[6:57] that in just a moment

[6:58] but the power of the first beast the

[7:02] false prophet is glorifying the

[7:04] antichrist

[7:05] he's pushing his agenda he's promoting

[7:08] him

[7:09] and he references the deadly wound that

[7:11] was healed notice that the wound was

[7:14] healed not that he died and resurrected

[7:17] it's important to understand this satan

[7:19] is a counterfeit he's the master and

[7:21] father of all

[7:22] lies he counterfeits god's power he

[7:25] cannot produce god's power

[7:27] he counterfeits god's power he tries to

[7:30] do his best but he always falls

[7:32] short of god's power you'll notice

[7:35] also in verse 13 that the false prophet

[7:38] he doeth

[7:39] great wonders so that he maketh fire

[7:42] come down from heaven

[7:44] on the earth in the sight of men and so

[7:46] we've got this fire that falls from the

[7:49] sky

[7:49] now heaven here not talking of the third

[7:51] heaven the abode of god

[7:54] but from the skies heaven so fire comes

[7:57] down

[7:58] from heaven and it comes down upon the

[8:01] earth now

[8:02] it could be in a reference like elijah

[8:05] where elijah prayed down fire from

[8:07] heaven

[8:08] and uh the book of first kings i believe

[8:10] chapter 19

[8:12] and so it's this mockery of god's

[8:15] power it's counterfeit it's trying to

[8:18] get other people to be persuaded

[8:21] that he is god that the antichrist is

[8:25] jesus christ the messiah and so it's a

[8:28] counterfeit

[8:29] working here but we'll find in verse 14

[8:32] the miracles that he does verse 14

[8:36] deceiveth them that dwell on the earth

[8:37] by means of those

[8:39] miracles which he had power to do

[8:42] inside of the beast saying to them that

[8:44] dwell on the earth they should make an

[8:46] image to the beast which had the wound

[8:48] by a sword

[8:49] and did live so satan has given the

[8:53] false

[8:54] prophet power to do miracles

[8:57] with a desire to deceive people into

[9:00] believing that this

[9:01] unholy trinity of satanist god

[9:04] antichrist as a counterfeit christ the

[9:07] false prophet

[9:08] have as the mockery of the holy spirit

[9:11] to worship them and deceive all people

[9:14] in all nations

[9:16] that's their plan they're trying to make

[9:18] a mockery of god

[9:20] now you can think about in acts i

[9:22] believe it's chapter 16

[9:24] there was a young woman who had the

[9:26] ability of soothsaying and she was using

[9:29] that and her masters was using her

[9:32] to profit and we know the bible tells us

[9:34] her ability

[9:36] for saying came from demonic power

[9:40] so demonic power is a real thing

[9:43] and the false prophet has power to

[9:46] perform

[9:47] false miracles in order to persuade

[9:50] people to the antichrist

[9:53] side in verse 15 he says this

[9:56] and he had the power to give life unto

[9:58] the image

[9:59] of the beast so they make an image of

[10:02] the antichrist

[10:03] the one that had the head wound and has

[10:06] been healed

[10:07] that they would worship him and if they

[10:09] don't worship him they're going to be

[10:11] killed so he makes this

[10:12] image now the image of the beast it says

[10:15] that

[10:16] he gave power to give life unto the

[10:19] image of the beast now i want to remind

[10:20] you of something

[10:21] god is the giver of all life

[10:25] no life exists outside of god

[10:29] god is the giver of all life mankind

[10:32] tries to manufacture life

[10:34] but they cannot create life they can

[10:37] duplicate

[10:38] life but they cannot create life

[10:41] so here they false prophet

[10:45] gives power has power to give life into

[10:47] the image of the beast the word life

[10:49] there

[10:49] in the greek language is pneuma which

[10:52] also means

[10:53] breath or spirit life and so what has

[10:56] happened is the false prophet

[10:59] gives the appearance of

[11:02] the appearance of that life has been

[11:05] brought to this

[11:06] false god and it also says that the

[11:08] image of the beast should

[11:10] both speak and cause that many as would

[11:13] not worship the image so the beast

[11:15] should be killed so he

[11:17] deceives people into thinking that this

[11:20] image whether it's a statue some believe

[11:24] it to be a robot

[11:25] or an android or something of that

[11:28] nature i don't know the bible doesn't

[11:30] say

[11:30] what it is he says it's in the image so

[11:32] it looks like

[11:34] the antichrist but it's

[11:37] not alive it appears to be alive

[11:41] we're going to call it some religious

[11:42] ventriloquism

[11:44] that's used by the false prophet to get

[11:46] this image to talk

[11:48] in fact if you study parts of history

[11:50] you'll find that they would set up idols

[11:53] and make it look like the idols were

[11:55] talking

[11:56] in order to deceive people

[11:59] but we find here he causes them to

[12:03] believe that the image is brought to

[12:06] life

[12:07] verse 16 he calls it all so the false

[12:10] prophet

[12:10] makes all both small and great rich and

[12:13] poor

[12:14] free and bond to receive the mark in

[12:16] their right hand

[12:17] or in their foreheads so the false

[12:19] prophet influences people

[12:22] to bring about the mark of the beast or

[12:24] the mark of the antichrist

[12:27] and in verse 17 that no man may buy or

[12:29] sell

[12:30] say if he had the mark or the name of

[12:32] the beast or the name number of his name

[12:35] then here is wisdom it says in verse 18

[12:37] let him hath understanding count the

[12:38] number of the beasts for it is the

[12:40] number of men

[12:41] his number 603 score and six

[12:45] the mark of the beast is forced upon all

[12:47] people by the false

[12:48] prophet to bring power and worship to

[12:51] the antichrist

[12:53] but ultimately to satan himself

[12:56] now the number there in verse 18 6 6 6

[13:00] the number of men now we can spend a lot

[13:02] of time

[13:03] talking about this number there are many

[13:05] different opinions on this

[13:06] it could be referencing a bar code

[13:09] that's attached a

[13:10] six-digit barcode that's attached to

[13:13] someone's hand or to their forehead and

[13:15] it's scanned

[13:16] like a barcode at a store some have

[13:19] talked about it being

[13:20] a microchip that is implanted and it

[13:22] must be scanned in order to

[13:24] buy or sell and it's got all a person's

[13:27] information and it can track

[13:29] everyone in the world and so they've

[13:31] talked about it being something like

[13:33] that or rfid

[13:34] chip that can be used to monitor

[13:37] every person that's around it could be

[13:40] that every person gets an id

[13:41] number to retract some believe it as i

[13:44] said to be the microchip

[13:46] some believe that it could be a tattoo

[13:48] or something like that we don't know

[13:50] for certain but we do know that it is a

[13:54] mark that is used to buy into cell

[13:57] now some people also believe you can

[13:59] take the

[14:00] names of people and give numerical value

[14:04] to each letter and if it ends up being

[14:08] 666 that person could be the antichrist

[14:12] but all throughout history

[14:16] you can manipulate letter systems

[14:19] to make it work out in your favor so

[14:21] there are many people

[14:23] throughout time that they've said oh

[14:25] it's this person or it's that person or

[14:28] it's this person or that person

[14:30] and they assign numerical values some

[14:33] have even looked at

[14:34] if you remember growing up in school the

[14:36] roman numerals

[14:38] the i for one the v for five

[14:41] the x for ten the l for 50

[14:44] the uh c for 100 and i believe the m

[14:49] d for 500 and m for 1000 i think that's

[14:52] how it goes it's been a while since i

[14:54] worked on my roman numerals

[14:56] but if you add the 500 one all the way

[14:59] down to one it equals 666

[15:02] and some say well that must be it's

[15:05] about the roman empire and it could be

[15:07] about the roman empire but i don't

[15:09] see that from the number of what the

[15:11] bible is saying

[15:13] well some say that it's the the name of

[15:15] the beast

[15:16] because it's 36 times found in scripture

[15:19] and 6 times 6

[15:20] is 36 and they take it that way i don't

[15:24] see that

[15:25] also it could also be the fact that the

[15:28] number six in the bible is referenced as

[15:30] the number of men because that is true

[15:32] in the bible many times

[15:34] six is referenced as the number of men

[15:36] man god works

[15:38] a man works for six days and he's to

[15:40] rest on the seventh day

[15:42] you see that in scripture we've assigned

[15:44] to god the number seven

[15:45] is the number of perfection there are

[15:47] many references to that being used for

[15:50] that

[15:51] so if god is perfect at number seven

[15:54] and man falls short at number six

[15:57] so man is not equal to god so satan's

[16:01] trinity

[16:02] is 666 because they fall short

[16:05] of being perfect like god there's all

[16:07] sorts of things that it could be this or

[16:09] it could be that or it could be this or

[16:11] it could be that

[16:12] but when you're in doubt take what the

[16:14] bible says

[16:16] the bible says it's a mark placed in the

[16:18] right hand or the forehead

[16:20] for the purpose of buying and selling

[16:23] and it cannot be done

[16:25] unless you have this mark and so the

[16:27] market has a connection to 666

[16:31] because of that purpose to buy and to

[16:34] sell so the false prophet

[16:35] and the antichrist purpose is to deceive

[16:38] all people

[16:39] to believe that satan is gone now the

[16:42] second half of the tribulation period

[16:44] when

[16:45] the antichrist commits the abomination

[16:47] of desolation when the antichrist

[16:49] himself begins to do all these terrible

[16:51] things

[16:52] when the false prophet begins to work in

[16:54] his way when they start killing those

[16:56] who refuse the mark of the beast is

[16:57] going to be a terrible time

[16:59] they'll either be executed or they'll

[17:01] die of starvation

[17:03] what we know ultimately is satan's

[17:05] agenda

[17:06] to bring about a group of people

[17:09] all people that he can to believe that

[17:11] he is god

[17:13] and not that jehovah is gone the world

[17:16] at this time will be led

[17:18] by a political power through the power

[17:20] of the antichrist the little horn

[17:22] from david or excuse me from the book of

[17:24] daniel

[17:26] and a religious power we find here the

[17:28] second beast

[17:29] whose ultimate goal is to bring glory to

[17:32] satan

[17:33] anytime conquering lands came in

[17:36] most of the time you'll discover it was

[17:38] political and religious

[17:40] teaming together to accomplish the goal

[17:43] here's what we know from revelation 13

[17:46] it's a prophetic chapter

[17:48] of the two characters who are going to

[17:50] come in in a play an awful time

[17:52] but you and i know this chapter 14 is

[17:55] coming

[17:56] and victory is going to come to the

[17:59] nation

[18:00] and to the people of god revelation 13

[18:03] the prophetic chapter

[18:04] we see the antichrist the false prophet

[18:07] today we're just taking a helicopter

[18:09] view of what we know so far but i want

[18:12] you to remember this

[18:14] no matter how bad it gets during the

[18:16] tribulation period god is still on the

[18:18] throne

[18:19] and he's still in charge and he's still

[18:21] at work

[18:22] in the kingdom of men and so satan's

[18:25] counterfeit
