[0:49] Mason this Memorial Day many Americans
[0:52] are enjoying a day of leisure cookouts
[0:54] and parades shared with friends and
[0:56] family but we've never forgotten the men
[0:58] and women who paid for for the freedom
[1:00] we enjoy this day ceremonies honoring
[1:03] America's War dead were held across the
[1:05] country including two led by the
[1:07] commanderin-chief
[1:12] President Obama began the day on
[1:14] Hallowed Ground Arlington National
[1:17] Cemetery in Virginia where he laid a
[1:19] wreath at the Tomb of the
[1:28] unknowns during the ceremony the
[1:30] president noted that for the first time
[1:32] in 9 years no Americans are fighting in
[1:36] Iraq and that the end of fighting was
[1:38] also near in Afghanistan after a decade
[1:42] under the Dark Cloud of War we can see
[1:46] the light of a new day on the horizon
[1:48] the president and the first lady also
[1:50] made a rare visit to the Vietnam
[1:53] memorial and honored another generation
[1:56] who fought in a deeply unpopular War
[1:59] even though some Amer
