[0:02] was hit at least twice I think but then
[0:04] I came to the aid of Paul shrady who was
[0:07] hit right behind him and the people did
[0:09] not see Mr shady and were starting to
[0:11] step on him and I straddled him and
[0:13] stayed there for the duration and he had
[0:16] a a head wound that may be very serious
[0:18] however he was conscious when we the
[0:20] local leader of the f c uh what North
[0:23] American uh what um was his condition is
[0:25] he was he conscious he was conscious and
[0:27] he had a good pulse but uh he had the
[0:30] bullet went in here and came out at the
[0:32] back that was not Senator Kennedy
[0:34] Senator Kennedy's wounds can you can you
[0:37] um indicate from what you learned the
[0:39] extent of his wound I didn't pay much
[0:40] attention to the senator because he was
[0:42] immediately taken over by some doctors
[0:44] and I wanted to see that Mr shade was
[0:46] taken care of because he was about 6
[0:48] feet away and then his wife Ethel got
[0:50] through and they did quite a bit of
[0:52] talking apart from Kennedy and shr who
[0:56] else was injured well there was two
[0:58] other people and they just carried one
[1:00] young fell and I don't remember his name
[1:02] but he had a leg wound what makes you
[1:05] believe that it was not a a pistol a
[1:07] revolver because there was more than
[1:09] five shots fired and a revolver most
[1:11] would have six and there was more than
[1:12] six shots fired was there just one man
[1:15] doing the shooting did you see him well
[1:16] I didn't did not see the man but I
[1:18] understand that they have caught him can
[1:20] you describe the scene in there in more
[1:23] detail well absolute pandemonium broke
[1:26] out because it was a real narrow
