[0:01] Live, the news on NBC 6 South Florida
[0:05] starts now.
[0:07] >> Good afternoon. We begin tonight with
[0:09] breaking news here on NBC 6. You're
[0:10] looking at live pictures right now from
[0:12] Chopper 6. This is in Broward County on
[0:14] the Turnpike northbound lanes. A truck
[0:17] has overturned and all of the gravel and
[0:20] steel that was in its truck has
[0:21] completely turned over right before
[0:24] Griffin Road near the Hard Rock Hotel.
[0:26] Now, three lanes are shut down at this
[0:28] hour, as you can imagine, right before
[0:29] rush hour traffic. People are getting by
[0:32] on the emergency lanes at this point,
[0:34] but once again, this is in Broward
[0:35] County. This is in the northbound lanes,
[0:38] right before Griffin Road. We will
[0:39] continue to follow this breaking news
[0:41] and bring you more here on NBC 6, and
[0:43] you can always go on NBC6.com.
[0:45] >> And Chopper 6 is also over the scene in
[0:47] Deerfield Beach where a truck lost part
[0:50] of its load of steel. And as a result,
[0:52] westbound traffic on Southwest 10th
[0:54] Street is now closed uh right there to
[0:57] I95. And your best bet right now, you
[1:00] can see the uh situation right there
[1:01] with the truck and the steel load that
[1:03] is all over the street, all over the
[1:06] highway right there to avoid the area
[1:08] there in Deerfield Beach if at all
[1:09] possible.
[1:10] >> Now to a story you will see only on six.
[1:12] The Miami date school board's top cop is
[1:14] officially out.
[1:15] >> This move comes weeks after a team six
[1:17] investigation revealed allegations of
[1:19] sexual misconduct. NBC 6 political
[1:22] reporter Steve Litz is live in the
[1:23] studio with the developing details here.
[1:25] Steve,
