[0:31] Good evening and welcome to Bible

[0:33] Baptist Church. We got some still

[0:35] floating in tonight, but we're going to

[0:37] be in hymn number 249. Heaven came down

[0:40] and glory filled [music] my soul. Let's

[0:43] sing it out on that first verse.

[0:48] Oh, [singing] what a wonderful, [music]

[0:50] wonderful day. Day I will never

[0:53] [singing] forget.

[0:56] After I wondered [singing and music] in

[0:58] darkness away, Jesus my savior I met.

[1:05] Oh, what a tender, compassionate friend.

[1:09] He met the [music and singing] need of

[1:11] my heart.

[1:14] Shadows dispelling [music and singing]

[1:16] with joy I am telling he made all the

[1:19] darkness depart. [music]

[1:23] Heaven came down [singing]

[1:25] and glory healed my soul.

[1:32] When [music] at the cross [singing] the

[1:34] Savior made me whole. [music]

[1:40] My sins [singing]

[1:42] were washed [music]

[1:43] away

[1:45] and my night was turned

[1:47] [music and singing] to day.

[1:50] Heaven came down and glory filled my

[1:55] soul.

[1:59] Born [singing and music] of the spirit

[2:01] with life from above

[2:04] into [music]

[2:05] God's family divine.

[2:08] [singing]

[2:09] justified fully through Calaryy's love.

[2:12] [music]

[2:13] Oh, what a standing [singing] is mine.

[2:18] And the transaction so quickly was made.

[2:22] When [music and singing] as a sinner I

[2:24] came,

[2:27] took the [singing and music] offer of

[2:29] grace he did profer. He saved me. Oh,

[2:32] praise his [music] dear name.

[2:36] Heaven came down [singing] and glory

[2:39] filled [music] my soul.

[2:45] When at the cross the Savior made

[2:48] [singing and music] me whole.

[2:54] My [singing and music] sins were washed

[2:56] away

[2:58] and my night was turned to day. [music]

[3:03] Heaven [singing] came down and glory

[3:07] healed my soul.

[3:09] [music]

[3:11] Now I have a hope. Now of a hope that

[3:14] will surely endure

[3:17] after the [music and singing] passing of

[3:19] time.

[3:22] I have a future in heaven for sure.

[3:26] There in those mansions

[3:28] [music and singing] sublime.

[3:31] And it's because of that wonderful day

[3:35] when at the cross I believe.

[3:37] [music and singing]

[3:40] Rich is eternal and blessing suppernal

[3:44] [singing and music] from his precious

[3:45] hand I receive. Sing it out. heaven.

[3:58] When at the cross [singing and music]

[4:00] the Savior made me whole.

[4:06] My sins were washed away

[4:10] [music] and my [singing] night was

[4:13] turned to day.

[4:16] Heaven came down [singing and music] and

[4:18] glory healed my soul.

[4:25] Heaven [singing]

[4:27] [music] came down and glory

[4:32] filled my soul.

[4:39] Amen. Have you notified your face of

[4:41] that tonight? I know it can be cloudy

[4:43] and gloomy, but we needed some rain, but

[4:46] we're glad to be saved tonight. And in

[4:48] thinking of that, this world's not our

[4:50] home. Is we're just passing through him

[4:53] 485.

[4:55] Let's sing it out on that [music] first

[4:56] verse. Him 485.

[4:59] This [singing] world is not my home. I'm

[5:02] just a passing [music] through. My

[5:05] treasures [singing] are laid up

[5:07] somewhere [music] beyond the blue. The

[5:10] angels beckon me [singing] from heaven's

[5:14] open door. And I can [music] feel at

[5:17] home in this world [singing] anymore.

[5:21] Oh Lord, [music]

[5:22] you know I have no friend like you. If

[5:26] heaven's [music and singing] not my

[5:28] home, then Lord, what will I do? The

[5:32] angels beckon me from heaven's open

[5:35] door. And I can't feel at home in this

[5:40] world anymore. [music and singing]

[5:43] They're all expecting me. And

[5:46] [singing and music] that's one thing I

[5:48] know. My Savior pardon me. And now I

[5:52] onward go. I know [singing and music]

[5:55] he'll take me through. Though I am weak

[5:58] and poor. And I can't feel at home

[6:01] [music and singing] in this world

[6:03] anymore.

[6:05] Oh Lord, you [singing and music] know I

[6:08] have no friend like you. If heaven's

[6:11] [music and singing] not my home, then

[6:13] Lord, what will I do? The angels [music]

[6:17] beckoning me from [singing]

[6:19] heaven's open door. And I can't feel at

[6:23] home in this world anymore.

[6:26] As the instruments play, get around,

[6:28] shake someone's hand [music] tonight. So

[6:29] you're glad to see them.

[6:51] Hey buddy, how are you?

[7:14] Heat. Heat.

[7:20] Heat. Heat.

[7:37] [music]

[7:42] Heat.

[7:53] Heat.

[8:10] >> [music]

[8:17] >> The light.

[8:38] Thanks.

[8:56] As you make your way back to your spots

[8:58] on that [music] last verse on the fourth

[9:01] just [singing] glory land will live

[9:04] eternal.

[9:06] The saints on [music and singing] every

[9:07] hand are shouting victory. Their songs

[9:11] of sweetest praise drift [singing] back

[9:14] from heaven shore. And I can't feel at

[9:17] home in this world [music] anymore.

[9:21] Oh Lord, you [singing] know I have no

[9:24] friend like you.

[9:26] If heaven's not my home, then Lord, what

[9:29] will I do? The angels beckon me from

[9:33] [music and singing] heaven's open door,

[9:35] and I can't live at home in this world

[9:39] anymore.

[9:42] [music] Good singing. Let's go to the

[9:44] Lord in prayer tonight for our offering.

[9:45] It's our moving ahead offering on

[9:47] Wednesday nights that goes into our fund

[9:50] to help with projects around the

[9:52] building. If you were here during chili

[9:53] cookoff, you notice the bright new

[9:55] lights in the one row of the gymnasium.

[9:58] And so we're raising funds to do the

[10:00] rest of them. It's going to be a $1,200

[10:02] project that'll help us replace those

[10:04] lights. So any money that comes in

[10:06] moving ahead is going to go to that

[10:08] project. So if you can help out, that's

[10:10] what that project will be. So let's go

[10:11] Lord in prayer tonight. Brother Brown,

[10:12] would you lead us in prayer for the

[10:14] offering tonight?

[10:37] Amen. You may be seated.

[11:30] Hey, hey, hey.

[11:39] [music]

[11:46] [music]

[12:00] Amen. Thankful for the help of the Lord

[12:03] in our lives with our theme of this

[12:07] world is not our home. We're looking

[12:08] forward to today when we're at home to

[12:10] be with the Lord him 91 tonight. What a

[12:13] day that will be.

[12:17] Sing it out on that first verse [music]

[12:19] together to the Lord tonight.

[12:22] There is [singing] coming [music]

[12:25] a day when no heartache

[12:30] shall come, no more [singing and music]

[12:32] clouds

[12:34] in the sky,

[12:36] no more [singing] tears to dim the eye.

[12:41] Always [singing and music] peace forever

[12:44] more

[12:46] on [singing] that happy [music] golden

[12:49] shore.

[12:50] What a day. [music] Glorious [singing]

[12:53] day

[12:55] that will be. [music]

[12:59] What [singing] a day

[13:01] that will be when my [music and singing]

[13:04] Jesus

[13:06] I shall see.

[13:08] And I [singing] look [music] upon his

[13:11] face. The one who [singing] saves me by

[13:16] his grace.

[13:18] When he takes me by the hand and leads

[13:23] me through the promised land,

[13:27] what [music and singing] a day,

[13:29] glorious day

[13:32] that will be.

[13:36] Be no

[13:38] sorrow there. [singing]

[13:40] No more burdens

[13:43] to bear. No more sickness.

[13:47] [music and singing] No pain.

[13:49] No more parting

[13:51] over [music and singing] there.

[13:53] And forever

[13:56] I [singing] will be

[13:58] with the one who died for me.

[14:03] What [music and singing] a day.

[14:05] Glorious day

[14:08] that will be. [music]

[14:11] What a day

[14:14] that will be [music]

[14:16] when my Jesus

[14:18] I shall see.

[14:21] And I [singing] look upon [music]

[14:23] his face. The one who save me

[14:27] [music and singing] by his grace.

[14:30] When he takes me [music and singing] by

[14:33] the hand and leads me through [singing]

[14:37] the promised land,

[14:39] what a [music] day

[14:44] that will be.

[14:48] Amen. Praise the Lord. If you have your

[14:50] Bibles, go to Revelation chapter number

[14:52] 19. We finishing up Revelation 19

[14:56] tonight and we'll look at the first

[14:58] three verses, Lord willing, of chapter

[15:00] 20. We're nearing the end of the book.

[15:03] We've enjoyed our time together. And

[15:06] last week we talked about the second

[15:09] coming of Christ, the heavens being

[15:11] open, the rider of the white horse

[15:14] coming with his armies. So, we looked at

[15:16] that last week. We're going to be in

[15:17] verse 17 this week. And we're going to

[15:20] read verses 17 to the end of the

[15:22] chapter. Then I'm going to have a word

[15:23] of prayer with you and then we'll dive

[15:25] in to the outline tonight. And in verse

[15:29] 17, if you're there, say, "Amen."

[15:31] >> And I saw an angel standing in the sun.

[15:35] And he cried with a loud voice, saying

[15:37] to all the fowls that fly in the midst

[15:40] of heaven, "Come and gather yourselves

[15:42] together unto the supper of the great

[15:45] God, that ye may eat the flesh of kings,

[15:50] and the flesh of captains, the flesh of

[15:52] mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and

[15:56] of them that sit on them, the flesh of

[15:58] all men, both free and bond, both small

[16:02] and great." And I saw the beast and the

[16:06] kings of the earth and their armies

[16:08] gathered together to make war against

[16:11] him that sat on the horse and against

[16:14] his army. The beast was taken and with

[16:18] him the false prophet that wrought

[16:20] miracles before him with which he

[16:23] deceived them that had received the mark

[16:25] of the beast and them that worshiped his

[16:28] image. These both were cast alive into

[16:31] the lake of fire, burning with

[16:33] brimstone.

[16:34] And the remnant were slain with the

[16:37] sword of him that sat upon the horse,

[16:40] which sword proceeded out of his mouth,

[16:43] and all the fowls were filled with their

[16:46] flesh. Let's go, Lord, in prayer

[16:48] tonight. Heavenly Father God, I thank

[16:50] you for the opportunity to preach your

[16:52] word tonight. Lord, I pray if you would

[16:54] please cleanse me of sin and empty me of

[16:56] myself that I might get out of the way

[16:58] tonight and your word may go forth.

[17:00] Lord, I pray you'd help us to see you in

[17:03] the text and see what you have for us in

[17:06] it tonight, Lord. In your name I pray.

[17:08] Amen. Back at verse number 17

[17:12] is where we'll start tonight in verse

[17:15] number 17. And I saw an angel standing

[17:19] in the sun, and he cried with a loud

[17:22] voice, saying to all the fowls that fly

[17:24] in the midst of heaven, come and gather

[17:27] yourselves together unto the supper of

[17:30] the great God. So in verse 17, let's

[17:34] break it down tonight. There is an angel

[17:37] standing in the sun. Now,

[17:42] how could you see

[17:44] from Earth an angel in the sun?

[17:49] What it represents to us is there's an

[17:51] angel. That's where you would be looking

[17:53] at the sun. There's an angel there. By

[17:55] the way, everybody's been looking up

[17:59] cuz our previous verses, the Lord's come

[18:02] back on his white horse and all his

[18:05] armies that we talked about last week,

[18:07] plural. All the armies that are with

[18:09] him, they've all come back in the

[18:12] clouds. Everybody's seeing the army in

[18:15] the clouds because the Bible tells us

[18:17] they're going to see the return of the

[18:19] Lord. They see the armies in the clouds

[18:22] coming back. So they're looking and now

[18:25] John writes that an angel standing where

[18:27] the son is at cries with a loud voice

[18:31] and we saw what he cried and he said to

[18:34] the fouls the Greek word here is ornon

[18:39] Jews three times in scripture

[18:42] all in the book of revelation in chapter

[18:45] 18 verse 2 and chapter 19 verse1 17 and

[18:49] chapter 19 verse 21 it means birds.

[18:54] That's real deep, isn't it? That's what

[18:56] the word means, birds.

[19:00] So, the fowls of the air begin to circle

[19:05] the armies

[19:08] that are coming together against God.

[19:11] Now, if you've ever been driving along

[19:13] I40 and you look on the horizon and you

[19:16] see birds circling, what does that

[19:19] signify?

[19:20] Something's dead.

[19:23] They come before they die,

[19:26] but they're circling

[19:29] round and round. All the fowls of the

[19:33] air are circling around this battle

[19:37] scene.

[19:38] They've gathered together and they have

[19:41] come.

[19:42] They've come for the great supper,

[19:46] the supper of the great God. This is not

[19:50] the marriage supper of the lamb. And the

[19:53] reason we know that is what's on the

[19:55] menu.

[19:58] And we're going to see it in verse 18

[19:59] here in just a minute. But he tells the

[20:02] birds to gather themselves together for

[20:05] the great supper of God. The supper will

[20:07] be of the enemies of God who come

[20:10] against Christ at the battle of

[20:11] Armageddon. It is also when Christ is

[20:15] redeeming Israel

[20:17] and taking her back as a wife. In the

[20:20] Old Testament, she has played the role

[20:23] of the harlot and has run away from him.

[20:25] And now he's redeeming her back to go

[20:28] into the millennial kingdom, as we'll

[20:30] see when we get to more verses on the

[20:32] kingdom. So in verse 17, the angel cries

[20:37] aloud so everybody can hear the voice as

[20:41] all the birds respond. They begin to

[20:43] circle the sky. Verse number 18.

[20:47] That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and

[20:51] the flesh of captains, and the flesh of

[20:54] mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and

[20:57] of them that sit on them, and the flesh

[21:00] of all men, both free and bond, small

[21:04] and great. What's on the menu? flesh of

[21:09] kings, flesh of captains, flesh of

[21:14] mighty men, flesh of horses. Now, if

[21:18] you've been along with us in our

[21:20] journey, the trumpet judgments and the

[21:21] vile judgments are going to wipe out

[21:23] most of the technology.

[21:25] Most of the technology going to be gone.

[21:27] So, we're going to be back to primitive

[21:29] warfare.

[21:30] Christ comes on a horse. The armies of

[21:34] Satan are going to fight him on horses.

[21:36] We know this because the scripture

[21:38] reveals it to us here in verse 18. So

[21:40] there's the flesh of horses

[21:43] and of them that sit on them. So there

[21:45] going to be people riding the horses

[21:47] that are coming against the army of God.

[21:50] And the flesh of all men, both free,

[21:53] bond, small, and great. There is no

[21:58] respectctor of who's getting eaten.

[22:01] All those that come against God on this

[22:04] day will be destroyed.

[22:08] In verse 19, "And I saw the beast and

[22:12] the kings of the earth and their armies

[22:14] gathered together to make war against

[22:17] him that sat on the horse and against

[22:20] his army." So Jesus Christ has returned

[22:24] in the clouds. We saw that last week on

[22:27] the white horse and his armies are with

[22:29] him. So, we have the army of the bride.

[22:32] We have the army of Old Testament

[22:34] saints. We have the army of tribulation

[22:37] saints. And remember, they were all in

[22:38] heaven and they came with him. So, the

[22:42] they're all up there because it says

[22:45] they came from heaven. They're all up

[22:46] there and they come down with him. And

[22:49] so, we find they're all there and

[22:51] they're gathering together. The beasts

[22:53] and the kings of the earth are gathering

[22:55] together for the battle of Armageddon.

[22:58] and they're battling to make war against

[23:00] him that sat upon the horse and against

[23:03] his army. So that's the reason why

[23:06] they're gathering.

[23:08] Now John here in Revelation 19 doesn't

[23:11] record for us any details about how the

[23:15] battle goes, just the end results. In

[23:18] chapter 14, we'll look at it here in a

[23:20] little bit. He does give us some

[23:21] descriptions on what happens.

[23:24] But just as we saw with the marriage

[23:26] supper of the lamb, we didn't see the

[23:28] wedding. We didn't see him come. We we

[23:31] see that he takes his bride home. We

[23:34] talked about that last week, that

[23:35] three-part. Remember the picture in

[23:39] scripture is not written in western

[23:41] culture. Western culture, it's all about

[23:44] the bride. Biblical culture is all about

[23:46] the groom. The groom paid the dowy. We

[23:50] talked about that last week with

[23:51] salvation. The groom prepared the place.

[23:53] The groom came and got them, took them

[23:55] back. Then they have the marriage supper

[23:57] of the lamb. That's the feast. We talked

[23:59] about how the bride got ready. How she

[24:02] had to get ready for the feast. She was

[24:03] decked in white. Means that she had gone

[24:06] through the uh

[24:09] my mind just went blank. The judgment

[24:11] seat, the bema judgment seat of Christ.

[24:13] She's already gone through that and

[24:15] she's dressed in white to present

[24:17] herself to her bridegroom. And so we

[24:21] find here in our text, they've gathered

[24:23] together just like we didn't get to see

[24:24] all the parts here in our battle of

[24:28] Armageddon. We don't get to see all the

[24:30] parts in chapter 19, but we get to see

[24:33] the end result. And it's found in verse

[24:34] 20.

[24:36] The beast was taken and with him the

[24:39] false prophet that wrought miracles

[24:42] before him

[24:44] with which had deceived them that had

[24:47] received the mark of the beast and them

[24:49] that worshiped his image. These both

[24:52] were cast alive

[24:55] into the lake of fire burning with

[24:57] brimstone.

[24:59] It's a good verse reference to point

[25:01] out. Hell is not annihilation.

[25:05] It's not you get c thrown into hell,

[25:07] boom, it's over. No, it's not

[25:09] annihilation.

[25:11] So in verse 20, the beast and the false

[25:14] prophet are taken and cast in the lake

[25:17] of fire. So I want you to notice that no

[25:20] description of the war, just the end

[25:21] results. The beast and the false

[25:22] prophet, they're cast alive. They are

[25:25] the first two eternal inhabitants of the

[25:29] lake of fire.

[25:31] All those that die without accepting

[25:34] Christ now are in the heart of the earth

[25:38] in hell. Hell, the bottomless pit and

[25:42] the lake of fire are three different

[25:45] places. The bottomless pit and hell are

[25:49] together. And we'll explain that when we

[25:51] get to the verse about that. But hell is

[25:54] in the heart of the earth. At before

[25:57] Christ ascended and put the blood upon

[26:00] the mercy seat in heaven, there was

[26:02] paradise and hell in the heart of the

[26:05] earth. Once he made the way, all those

[26:10] that were captive in paradise, he took

[26:12] with him to heaven. Hell hath enlarged

[26:15] itself,

[26:16] and now it's in the heart of the earth.

[26:20] So the beast and the false prophet, they

[26:22] are cast alive into the lake of fire.

[26:26] And we see later on at the end of the

[26:28] millennial kingdom, it says where the

[26:30] beast and the false prophet are. That's

[26:32] a thousand years later, they're still

[26:35] there. They're still burning. They're

[26:38] still in torture. So it's not

[26:40] annihilation. Don't let anyone sweep you

[26:42] up with this annihilation doctrine that

[26:45] hell means you go there, you burn up,

[26:46] and you're done. No. In fact, we're

[26:48] going to look at it here in just a

[26:49] little bit when we see the resurrections

[26:52] in chapter 20.

[26:54] Now, there's a difference between hell

[26:56] and the lake of fire. In chapter 20,

[26:58] verse number 14.

[27:00] Chapter 20 and verse number 14, we see

[27:03] this. And death and hell were cast into

[27:09] the lake of fire. This is the second

[27:13] death. Hell is the holding place of all

[27:16] the damned of the world. There they are

[27:19] held until the great white throne

[27:22] judgment,

[27:24] after which they'll be cast into the

[27:26] lake of fire, the place of outer

[27:30] darkness.

[27:31] Now, this text disproves the idea, as I

[27:34] mentioned, that hell is not just

[27:35] annihilation or merely a grave. for it

[27:39] shows that the false prophet and the

[27:40] beast are still there burning a thousand

[27:42] years later. It's sort of an interesting

[27:45] to note that just as the believer is

[27:49] given a resurrected body which he'll

[27:53] have the properties that will enable him

[27:56] or her to live out for all eternity.

[28:01] So the damned will be given a

[28:03] resurrected body that will enable him or

[28:07] her to endure and suffer torment forever

[28:13] and ever without being consumed. In this

[28:17] treacherous end, they will suffer, be

[28:21] forgotten, and will exist in that

[28:24] condition for all eternity.

[28:28] Not because God is mean,

[28:31] but because they reject the offer of

[28:34] salvation.

[28:38] In verse 20, we see that they're cast

[28:41] into the lake of fire. In verse 21,

[28:45] and the remnant, so the remnant here are

[28:49] those that are in the armies of the

[28:52] beast and the false prophet. The remnant

[28:55] were slain with the sword of him that

[28:57] sat upon the horse

[28:59] that which the sword proceed out of not.

[29:02] We talked about that last week out of

[29:03] Hebrews as well. And all the fouls were

[29:06] filled with their flesh. So the remnant

[29:10] were slain and sent to where?

[29:16] Where'd they go?

[29:18] They went to hell. They didn't go into

[29:21] the lake of fire. They went to hell. In

[29:24] Revelation 14:20, it talks about this

[29:27] battle scene, and the wine press was

[29:29] trotten without the city, and the blood

[29:32] came out of the wine press even unto the

[29:34] horses bridles

[29:37] by the space of a,600 furong. So, we

[29:40] talked about that when we dealt with the

[29:42] battle of Armageddon in chapter 14. And

[29:45] remember, we talked about the reapers

[29:47] there. And we talked about that the

[29:49] reapers are reaping the wicked

[29:53] because it's the fruit of the earth,

[29:57] not of God. It's the harvest of the

[29:59] earth referencing unsaved people. And

[30:04] it's for judgment, not for

[30:06] glorification.

[30:07] In chapter 14, it expresses that in the

[30:09] text that it's not a wonderful reaping.

[30:13] And what happens is is that the

[30:16] confusion comes and we talked about it

[30:17] when we were in chapter 14 with Matthew

[30:20] 24 and 25 being kingdom centered and not

[30:25] rapture centered. It's real easy to get

[30:28] swept up in it being rapture centered

[30:31] and recognizing the historical context

[30:34] of who he's talking to helps us to know

[30:36] what the Bible says.

[30:39] And so there is that two will be in the

[30:42] field, one will be taken, the other left

[30:45] is many times said, "Oh, that's talking

[30:47] about rapture." No, it's not. When you

[30:49] read the context, it's talking about the

[30:51] judgment of God and the swiftness of the

[30:54] judgment of God coming. And so here in

[30:56] our text tonight, all the fl fowls will

[31:00] eat their flesh. All those that come

[31:03] against God. People think that they can

[31:06] defeat him, but they can't. By the way,

[31:09] in case you're wondering, you're on the

[31:10] winning side, child of God. We're not on

[31:12] the losing side. We're on the winning

[31:14] side.

[31:16] So, we end chapter 19

[31:19] with the beast and the false prophet

[31:22] being thrown into the lake of fire. We

[31:25] end chapter 19 with the remnant being

[31:27] slain. All those that are dead, their

[31:30] bodies are eaten by the fowl of the air.

[31:33] All of their body is consumed. Kind of

[31:35] like Ahab and Jezebel were eaten by

[31:37] dogs. The fowls of the air eat all of

[31:40] their bodies and the blood runs as high

[31:43] as a horse's bridal. 1600 furlongs in

[31:46] that valley that's there.

[31:49] Then we get to chapter 20.

[31:52] Chapter 20

[31:55] is a short chapter

[31:58] that has a lot of controversy.

[32:01] And so we're going to look at the first

[32:03] three verses tonight.

[32:06] And as you know, Wednesday night is

[32:08] Bible study night. So we're going to be

[32:10] studying.

[32:11] Not a whole lot of preaching preaching

[32:13] application format, but some study here.

[32:17] Chapter 20 verse one. And I saw an

[32:22] angel. All right. So this is a different

[32:24] one. In chapter 19 at the end, we saw

[32:27] the angel in front of the sun. This is a

[32:30] different angel come down from heaven

[32:33] having the key of the bottomless pit and

[32:37] a great chain in his hand and he laid

[32:41] hold on the dragon that old serpent

[32:43] which is the devil and Satan and bound

[32:47] him a thousand years. That thousand

[32:51] years phrase is the phrase that causes

[32:55] controversy.

[32:56] That is because there are three schools

[32:58] of thought that surround the phrase a

[33:01] thousand years. Now the thousand years

[33:05] is mentioned six times in this chapter.

[33:08] This particular thousand years reference

[33:10] is has been termed the millennium

[33:14] by Bible scholars. This thousand years

[33:17] is a time of worldwide bliss during

[33:22] which Christ will rule on earth as the

[33:26] king of kings and the lord of lords.

[33:30] There are three positions that are

[33:33] generally taken. You ought to

[33:36] familiarize yourself with these terms.

[33:39] The first term is all millennialism.

[33:43] All millennialism. This view teaches

[33:45] that there will be no thousand-year

[33:48] reign of Christ at all. They do not

[33:51] believe in the literal fulfillment of

[33:53] the Old Testament prophecies concerning

[33:56] Israel.

[33:57] The rapture is not anticipated,

[34:00] nor is the warning of the last days

[34:02] taken seriously.

[34:04] All millennialists believe in a literal

[34:07] fulfillment of the kingdom and that

[34:10] Christ reigns through believers in peace

[34:13] and righteousness,

[34:15] but they spiritualize the thousand years

[34:19] as well as most of the book of

[34:21] Revelation.

[34:23] It's plain to see that this idea is not

[34:25] right. And how do we prove that it's not

[34:29] right? Acts chapter 1 verses 10 and 11.

[34:35] We looked at it last week. You should

[34:37] underline it in your Bible. Jesus is

[34:39] ascending to heaven. The angels speak to

[34:43] those that are looking. Say, "Ye men,

[34:46] why stand ye here gazing? This same

[34:51] Jesus shall return in like manner. His

[34:56] feet left earth, went to the sky, went

[34:59] to heaven. Like manner, he's coming from

[35:02] heaven through the sky and touching down

[35:05] on the Mount of Olives. Right where he

[35:07] took off from, he's coming right back.

[35:10] Why would we say that? Because the Bible

[35:11] doesn't lie.

[35:14] So if the Bible says he's coming back in

[35:18] like manner, guess what? He's coming

[35:20] back in like manner. And so where it

[35:24] shows Jesus literally ascending to

[35:25] heaven, this same Jesus shall come in

[35:28] the same manner. You've seen him going

[35:30] to heaven. He's literally returning to

[35:33] earth. So that's the all millennial

[35:35] view. Postmillennialism.

[35:38] They view Christ returning at the close

[35:41] of the thousand years. But they believe

[35:44] that the world will become an

[35:46] increasingly better place to live over

[35:50] the thousand years until such time that

[35:53] Christ would enter the world and become

[35:56] its eternal king. Now this view was held

[35:58] by many in the early 1900s and has

[36:02] greatly diminished

[36:04] because those who held this view felt

[36:07] that the world would get progressively

[36:10] better.

[36:12] But as time has shown things get

[36:15] progressively worse,

[36:18] not better.

[36:20] The third view of the thousand years is

[36:21] the premillennialism view. These believe

[36:25] that Christ will bodily return to earth

[36:29] before the thousand-year reign begins.

[36:32] He will establish his kingdom and set up

[36:36] his throne in the rebuilt city of

[36:39] Jerusalem.

[36:41] Throughout scripture, the home of the

[36:44] world is found in deliverance that would

[36:48] come in Christ's kingdom. You've ever

[36:52] followed the model prayer or some call

[36:54] it the Lord's prayer. Thy kingdom come,

[36:59] thy will be done on

[37:02] earth as it is in heaven. The first time

[37:06] he came, was he the king on earth? Did

[37:09] he rule forever? He was born king. He

[37:12] had the right to rule, but he didn't

[37:13] take the throne yet,

[37:16] but he will. So, he will return in like

[37:21] manner. So, God's will can't be done on

[37:23] earth until the enemies of Christ have

[37:26] been defeated and Satan has been bound.

[37:31] Now, it seems odd that those who reject

[37:35] the premillennial

[37:37] literal return of Christ by

[37:40] spiritualizing it, watch this, they

[37:43] believe in the literalness of the angel.

[37:47] They believe the literalness of heaven.

[37:50] They believe in the literalness of the

[37:51] bottomless pit, the literalness of

[37:54] Satan, the nations, and the

[37:57] resurrections mentioned in the context

[37:59] of Revelation 20. all millennialist and

[38:02] postmillennialist, they believe all the

[38:04] other parts, but the thousand-year part,

[38:08] they said that's got to that's not real

[38:09] thousand years.

[38:12] So, the millennium is a period

[38:14] that is 1,000 years in length.

[38:18] Now, in Revelation 20:4, we'll see that

[38:21] next week. This thousand-year period is

[38:23] mentioned six times in this chapter and

[38:25] only in this chapter.

[38:28] Now there are those who say that since

[38:30] this is the only chapter that mentions

[38:32] the thousand years that it doesn't

[38:35] really mean a thousand years.

[38:38] So they use Psalm chapter 90 and verse 4

[38:44] and 2 Peter 3:8 which says that one day

[38:49] is with the Lord as a thousand years and

[38:52] a thousand years as one day to prove

[38:56] their point.

[38:58] Now the important thing is to realize

[39:02] that these verses view things through

[39:05] God's eyes and not man's eyes

[39:12] in thy sight and with the Lord. Put

[39:14] these verses in a much different

[39:16] perspective.

[39:18] As God sees it,

[39:22] a day a thousand years is as a day to

[39:25] God because he's eternal.

[39:28] As man sees it, a thousand years is a

[39:30] thousand years.

[39:33] We don't get a difference because we're

[39:34] not God.

[39:37] We don't live like he live. So that

[39:40] perspective changes how you look at that

[39:43] verse. So you can't take a verse out of

[39:46] context to fit your context.

[39:50] So one of the wonderful things in this

[39:52] chapter in Revelation chapter 20, I like

[39:56] verse three.

[39:59] cast him, talking about Satan, into the

[40:01] bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set

[40:04] a seal upon him, that he should deceive

[40:06] the nations no more, till the thousand

[40:09] years should be fulfilled, and after

[40:11] that he must be loosed for a little

[40:14] season. Now, the chains of men could

[40:17] never bind Satan, but now an angel comes

[40:20] down from heaven and binds him with a

[40:23] great chain and cast him into the

[40:25] bottomless pit for a thousand years. We

[40:28] don't know the name of the angel, but I

[40:31] think it would be wonderful of God to

[40:34] let Michael do it.

[40:36] All throughout scripture, he's wrestled

[40:38] with him. He's fought with him. I think

[40:40] it would be wonderful to Michael just to

[40:43] come down, say, "Come here, devil.

[40:47] Chain him up in my glorified

[40:50] imagination. Fireman carry. Put him over

[40:52] the shoulder.

[40:55] Carry him to the door of the bottomless

[40:57] pit. Open up the door. Throw him in.

[41:01] Close the door and lock it. It'd be

[41:03] wonderful.

[41:05] Now, the bottomless pit is in the heart

[41:08] of the earth.

[41:10] It is in hell.

[41:13] It is a area of hell that can only be

[41:17] accessed

[41:19] by those that have the key.

[41:23] Now, God has the key to it. We'll find

[41:26] later or earlier in Revelation, we

[41:28] talked about him opening up the abyss,

[41:31] which is another term for the bottomless

[41:33] pit and letting out creatures from there

[41:37] during the judgment. But we find here

[41:40] it's a place in hell, a special holding

[41:43] cell. Satan's chained up, locked up,

[41:47] shut up, put in the bottomless pit, and

[41:50] he can't get out for a thousand years.

[41:53] And his influence can't get to mankind

[41:57] for a thousand years.

[42:00] Now, the bottomless pits in the center

[42:02] of the earth, this gives the Lord open

[42:04] and unopposed rule on earth without sin.

[42:08] Now, let's talk about the devil for a

[42:10] little bit.

[42:13] In verse two, we saw some of the names.

[42:17] He laid hold on the dragon, that old

[42:19] serpent, which is the devil, and Satan,

[42:22] and bound him a thousand years. The

[42:25] devil, meaning slanderer, he slanders

[42:28] God to man, and accuses man to God. In

[42:32] Genesis 3, the devil placed a question

[42:34] in Eve's mind as to the integrity of

[42:37] God. In Genesis 3:1, "Yay, hath God

[42:40] said, you shall not eat of every tree of

[42:42] the garden?" He's trying to slander God

[42:46] to man. In Job 1, he appears before God

[42:49] to accuse Job. In Ephesians 6:1, that ye

[42:53] may be able to stand against the ws of

[42:56] the devil. The devil's business is to

[42:59] make people doubt God and take away

[43:02] their faith. Not their salvation, but

[43:05] their faith.

[43:08] They'll come whisper in your ear.

[43:11] He'll come bearing all sorts of

[43:14] temptations.

[43:16] For what purpose?

[43:19] Because he's the devil. Now, we've got

[43:21] to go back to his origin. His origin is

[43:25] found in Isaiah chapter number 14. In

[43:29] Isaiah chapter 14, we find Isaiah 14:es

[43:33] 12-15. Also in Ezekiel 28:es 12-19,

[43:38] the Lord said, "How art thou fallen from

[43:40] heaven, oh Lucifer, son of the morning?

[43:42] How art thou cut down to the ground

[43:44] which is weaken the nations? For thou

[43:47] has said in thine heart, I will ascend

[43:49] into heaven. I will exalt my throne

[43:52] above the stars. God. I will sit also

[43:55] upon the mount of the congregation in

[43:57] the sides of the north. Look what he

[43:58] says in verse 14. I will ascend above

[44:01] the heights of the clouds. I will be

[44:03] like the most high. Yet thou shalt be

[44:06] brought down to hell to the sides of the

[44:09] pit. He had a pride issue. I I I

[44:15] we talked about it when we were talking

[44:16] about the throne room of God and the

[44:19] creatures that surround the throne and

[44:21] that there's one spot missing.

[44:24] And we talked about pastor's belief that

[44:26] that one spot was occupied above the

[44:29] throne where Lucifer had his spot making

[44:33] music for people to bow down and

[44:36] worship.

[44:37] And I believe in my heart that as he

[44:39] watched angels and created beings bowing

[44:42] down and worshiping the Lord, he said,

[44:45] "I want that."

[44:47] That's why he said, "I will ascend into

[44:48] heaven. I will be like I I" He wanted

[44:51] people to bow down to him. And he's

[44:54] pretty good at what he does because a

[44:55] third of the host of heaven fell with

[44:57] him. But just in case you get frustrated

[45:00] because the devil's doing all his

[45:02] business and he's seems like he's

[45:03] winning. For every one angel that went

[45:06] with him too stayed.

[45:09] So every one demonic force there are two

[45:11] on God's side just to let you know. Take

[45:14] courage. Yes, the devil may be gaining

[45:17] ground, but he's already lost the war.

[45:20] So we find him being called the devil.

[45:22] Secondly, he's called Satan, meaning

[45:24] adversary.

[45:25] Before we go there, let me take you to

[45:28] Ezekiel. I want you to see these verses

[45:29] so you know we're not making it up.

[45:31] Ezekiel 28:12. Son of man, take up

[45:34] lamentation upon the king of Tyrus and

[45:37] said to him, "Thus sayith the Lord God,

[45:38] thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom

[45:42] and perfect in beauty. Thou hast been in

[45:44] Eden in the garden of God." So let me

[45:47] pause. There can't be a guy when

[45:49] Ezekiel's written that was alive in the

[45:52] garden of Eden. So the king of Tyrus is

[45:55] not referring to a human being. It's

[45:57] referring to the devil.

[46:00] So the garden of God, every precious

[46:02] stone was thy covering, the sardis. He

[46:05] goes through all of these things, all

[46:07] the wonderful jewels that are on him

[46:09] when he was in heaven. The workmanship

[46:11] of thy tabs and of thy pipes was

[46:14] prepared in thee in the day that thou

[46:16] was created. By the way, Lucifer was a

[46:18] created being. He's not God. He's also

[46:21] not Jesus's brother.

[46:26] Say, "Why'd you say that?" Because

[46:27] there's a teaching out there that says

[46:29] that. He's not Jesus's brother. And he

[46:33] didn't come up with a plan of

[46:34] redemption. And Jesus came up with a

[46:36] plan of redemption. And God chose

[46:38] Jesus's. And so that's why he got mad

[46:40] and left, got kicked out of heaven.

[46:42] That's not the case either.

[46:45] So in Ezekiel 28 it says, "Thy tabrets

[46:47] and of thy pipes, Lucifer's body

[46:50] literally made music."

[46:53] I want you to think about that for a

[46:54] minute.

[46:56] The created being, he could make music.

[47:01] One of the largest areas of distraction

[47:07] is music

[47:09] because music affects us.

[47:12] that affects our body,

[47:14] affects our soul, and it affects our

[47:17] spirit.

[47:18] There's three parts of music. Rhythm,

[47:20] harmony, and melody. Those three parts

[47:22] affect the three parts of you.

[47:25] And if you get them out of order,

[47:29] you can be out of order.

[47:32] Got to be very careful about that.

[47:34] Ezekiel 28:14, "Thou art the anointed

[47:37] cherub that coverth." Oh, so what was he

[47:39] covering? He was above the throne. And I

[47:42] have set thee so thou was upon the holy

[47:44] mountain of God. Thou hast walked up and

[47:47] down in the midst of the stones of fire.

[47:49] Thou was perfect in thy ways from the

[47:51] day that thou was created till iniquity

[47:55] was found in thee. Verse 16. By the

[47:58] multitude of thy merchant, thy stayath

[48:00] filled the midst of thee with violence.

[48:03] Thou hast sinned. Therefore, I will cast

[48:07] thee as profane out of the mountain of

[48:09] God, and I will destroy thee, oh

[48:11] covering cherub, from the midst of the

[48:13] stones of fire. I don't have time to go

[48:15] through the rest of the section here,

[48:16] but Ezekiel 28 all the way down to verse

[48:20] 21 is a good section to go and study and

[48:23] see a little bit more about Lucifer and

[48:26] who he is. So, Satan is adversary.

[48:30] He is our enemy and attacks we are most

[48:33] vulnerable.

[48:35] No half-hearted endeavor can repulse his

[48:39] attacks. Believers must put their whole

[48:42] heart into fighting and resisting Satan.

[48:46] 1 Coronicles 21:1, "And Satan stood up

[48:50] against Israel and provoked David to

[48:54] number

[48:55] Israel." So he attacked David's mind and

[48:58] he got him to go contrary to what God

[49:00] had told him to do. 2 Chronicles chapter

[49:03] 2 11, lest Satan should get an advantage

[49:05] of us, for we are not ignorant of his

[49:09] devices. Revelation 21 7 and 8, Satan

[49:13] shall, and it talks about going out to

[49:15] deceive after he's loosed after the

[49:18] thousand years. The serpent,

[49:21] the universal symbol of evil.

[49:25] A serpent has poisonous properties which

[49:28] make certain kinds of snakes dangerous.

[49:32] What's a good snake in my opinion? A

[49:35] dead one.

[49:36] >> I don't like any of them. Now the

[49:39] serpent was more subtle than any beast

[49:41] of the field which the Lord God had

[49:42] made. Now note Psalm 58:4.

[49:46] Their poison is like the poison of a

[49:49] serpent. They are like the deaf adder

[49:52] that stopeth her ear. Giving us a word

[49:56] picture of a serpent. The danger that's

[49:58] there. Proverbs 23:32,

[50:02] "And at last it biteth like a serpent,

[50:05] and stingeth like an adder.

[50:09] Snakes often conceal themselves.

[50:14] They strike when you least expect them

[50:17] to strike."

[50:19] Revelation 12:9, "And the great dragon

[50:22] was cast out, that old serpent

[50:26] was called the devil, and Satan was

[50:28] deceiveth the whole world. He was cast

[50:31] out into the earth. His angels were cast

[50:33] out with him." We talked about that in

[50:35] chapter 12. In Revelation chapter 12,

[50:41] he's also called Apolon, meaning

[50:43] destroyer.

[50:45] He's called the dragon, a great monster

[50:48] who is fearsome. In 1 Peter 5'8, he's

[50:51] the lion, meaning he's cruel and cunning

[50:54] and fierce. Be sober, be vigilant. We

[50:57] talked about it Sunday night. He's

[50:59] called Beelzeba, meaning the lord of the

[51:01] houses or sovereign of evil spirits. In

[51:04] Matthew 10:25, they have called me

[51:06] master of the house of Beelzebub. How

[51:08] much more shall they call them of his

[51:10] household?

[51:12] The devil,

[51:14] Satan, the dragon, the nature of Satan,

[51:18] he's subtle. He's artful. He's crafty.

[51:22] He's insinuating.

[51:23] The serpent begiled Eve even through his

[51:27] subtility.

[51:28] Through subtility, he makes sin

[51:32] attractive.

[51:35] If we knew how nasty sin is, we wouldn't

[51:39] be tempted.

[51:41] But he's good at making the nasty look

[51:44] attractive. He's cunning. He's sly,

[51:47] deceitful.

[51:49] He's treacherous. He's swift.

[51:52] He's intense.

[51:54] He's determined.

[51:57] He's unvarying.

[51:59] He's relentless in this purpose. He

[52:02] tempts today as he did with Eve

[52:05] thousands of years ago in the Garden of

[52:06] Eden.

[52:09] as he tempted Judas,

[52:11] as he tempted Ananas and Safhir.

[52:14] Acts 5:3, why hast Satan filled thine

[52:18] heart? So, the purpose of Satan is to

[52:21] prevent the salvation of the unsaved.

[52:26] There is a typo here. It should be 2

[52:28] Corinthians chapter 4:es 3 and four, not

[52:32] chapter 3, verses three and four. So,

[52:34] you want to change that first three to a

[52:35] four. Somehow, it autocorrected. I

[52:38] didn't catch that. So, it's 2

[52:39] Corinthians 4 3 and 4, which says this,

[52:44] "But if our gospel be hid is hid to them

[52:46] that are lost, in whom the god of this

[52:50] world, Satan, hath blinded the minds of

[52:52] them which believe not, lest the light

[52:54] of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is

[52:56] in the image of God, should shine unto

[52:58] them." Satan's purpose is to prevent the

[53:01] salvation of the unsaved.

[53:03] This is done through deception. And

[53:04] that's what he he knows God loves the

[53:07] world and God died for the world. And so

[53:10] anything he can do to keep the world

[53:12] from following God,

[53:14] he'll try to deceive them to do.

[53:17] Secondly, it's to pollute the purity of

[53:18] the church through false doctrine,

[53:21] enticements to worldly living.

[53:24] Secondary emphasis to get off the main

[53:27] thing. Brother Sam Davidson used to

[53:29] preach a message, keep the main thing

[53:31] the main thing.

[53:33] we we can get on to other areas and get

[53:36] our eyes off the main thing which is

[53:38] preaching the gospel.

[53:41] Thirdly, it is to oppose God. His life

[53:46] is made up of vengeance against God for

[53:49] overcoming him in Isaiah 14 as we talked

[53:52] about just a little bit ago.

[53:54] So the doom of Satan is found in verse

[53:57] three.

[53:58] In verse three,

[54:01] he's chained. He's cast in prison for a

[54:05] thousand years

[54:08] after which he is loosed for a season.

[54:12] Now important thing to remember during

[54:14] the millennial kingdom when Christ rules

[54:17] and reigns upon the earth for a thousand

[54:19] years. Sin is repressed

[54:23] during the millennial reign of Christ.

[54:26] Mankind is given the choice after a

[54:29] thousand years to choose Christ or the

[54:32] devil.

[54:34] It is repressed.

[54:36] It is not completely removed. It is

[54:39] repressed. Also, I want to remind you

[54:44] not

[54:46] the armies that come against God, they

[54:50] die in the battle of Armageddon.

[54:53] There are those who are not going to

[54:56] align themselves with the beast and the

[54:58] false prophet who are still humans

[55:03] which means humans

[55:05] not in glorified bodies will go also

[55:08] into the kingdom.

[55:10] That's also how the kingdom is

[55:13] repopulated.

[55:16] People will be born in the millennial

[55:18] kingdom because sin is repressed. the

[55:21] effects of sin

[55:24] will not be as evident upon mankind. In

[55:28] other words, people are going to live

[55:29] longer

[55:31] because sin is repressed.

[55:35] So, mankind is given a choice at the end

[55:38] of a thousand years. This is another

[55:41] section to help us with Calvinism.

[55:44] Not it's not unconditional election.

[55:47] They get to choose at the end of the

[55:49] millennial kingdom whether they're going

[55:50] to choose Christ or they're going to

[55:52] choose to follow after Satan. And the

[55:54] sad scripture verse at the end of the

[55:57] thousand years is that those that choose

[55:59] to follow Satan are numbered as the sand

[56:01] of the sea. Such a sad verse.

[56:06] Thousand-y year reign of Christ. And you

[56:08] still choose the devil.

[56:12] That's because he's slick.

[56:14] He is very good at tempting and

[56:17] discouraging and trying to get people

[56:20] off of what God wants them to do. Now,

[56:23] we're getting ready to get into our next

[56:25] section that we deal with the thousand

[56:27] years. We're going to take our time in

[56:29] the next section of explaining the

[56:31] resurrections

[56:34] because there are confusion there for

[56:36] some people. So, we're going to take our

[56:38] time dealing with the resurrections

[56:41] and then we're going to get to the great

[56:43] white throne judgment of God,

[56:46] which is at the end

[56:50] of the thousand year reign of Christ.

[56:54] So, we're going to take our time as we

[56:56] navigate through Revelation chapter 20.

[56:59] Then, we'll get to chapter 21 and

[57:02] chapter 22. So, Lord willing, everything

[57:06] comes together. I think we might finish

[57:09] it by the end of 2026.

[57:12] Maybe we'll see what the Lord does. But

[57:16] we're excited to continue the series.

[57:17] So, I want to remind you here in

[57:19] Revelation chapter 20, Satan's going to

[57:21] be bound. Satan's going to be chained

[57:24] up. And he's not going to have

[57:26] opportunity for a thousand years to

[57:29] deceive the nations.

[57:31] What a glorious time that will be. And

[57:35] then we'll see the saints reigning with

[57:37] Christ in verse four for a thousand

[57:39] years. We'll talk about that. We'll talk

[57:41] about the resurrections and what it

[57:43] means when it says, "Blessed are they of

[57:45] the first resurrection."

[57:47] So, we want to talk about that because

[57:48] that can create confusion. So, we're

[57:51] going to explain that in detail because

[57:53] there's not one general resurrection

[57:57] and there's not just two resurrections.

[58:01] And so we'll talk about that as we go

[58:03] through and explain that in detail. But

[58:07] I'm excited as we continue on. So as we

[58:11] look at this section, Jesus is going to

[58:13] come again on white horses and he's

[58:16] going to defeat with the word of his

[58:17] mouth. What does that mean for the army?

[58:19] We just along for the ride.

[58:23] We don't have to lift a sword. We don't

[58:25] have to pick up a shield. We don't have

[58:27] to do anything because we are more than

[58:29] conquerors through him that loves us.

[58:33] And so I encourage you today, the Lord's

[58:36] coming back

[58:38] in physical form and he's going to touch

[58:41] down on the Mount of Olives and the

[58:44] whole world will see him.

[58:48] Now, when you read verses that talk

[58:49] about the rapture, it talks about caught

[58:52] up together with them in the clouds to

[58:55] meet the Lord in the air. And it doesn't

[58:57] mention horses, and it doesn't mention

[59:00] everybody seeing them. It's called a

[59:03] mystery. So, we'll talk about the rest

[59:06] of chapter 20 when we get to it next

[59:08] week. Let me give you last word of

[59:10] encouragement. We're on the winning

[59:11] side. Take courage. Take courage. We're

[59:14] on the winning side. But you need to

[59:17] know what you believe. why you believe

[59:18] it and where you can find it. Want to

[59:21] encourage you, make sure you're studying

[59:22] the word. Also want to encourage you,

[59:24] make plans the last week of October

[59:28] starting on the 25th all the way through

[59:31] Wednesday to be here for our Baptist

[59:33] conference. But Rocky Harold is going to

[59:36] be here. He's going to preach Sunday

[59:38] school, Sunday morning, Sunday night,

[59:41] Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Sunday

[59:45] is going to primarily be dealing with

[59:47] what a Baptist is. He's got some special

[59:50] messages Monday through Wednesday on the

[59:52] world history of Baptist. And so it's

[59:56] good to know what you believe, why you

[59:58] believe it, but it's also good to know

[59:59] where you come from. And so he's going

[60:01] to be explaining that. So it's going to

[60:02] be a great time. So I want you to look

[60:04] forward to that. All right. And so let's

[60:06] have a word of prayer tonight. And then

[60:08] uh we'll we'll actually let's take some

[60:10] prayer requests tonight. And so not

[60:13] really a message to have a full-blown

[60:15] invitation tonight, more of a rejoicing.

[60:18] But anybody got a prayer request? We'll

[60:19] start over here on this side. Yes,

[60:20] ma'am. Miss Robbie's health u she's been

[60:23] dealing with some stuff and Tommy

[60:24] salvation. Still trying to get adjusted

[60:26] to that new medication that she's on.

[60:28] Continue to pray for that. Brother Don.

[60:36] >> Okay. So, Miss Betty started a new diet

[60:39] for health reasons there. And so, pray

[60:41] for her. she adjusts to that and uh it

[60:44] is it's different and so pray for her.

[60:48] Uh I saw pictures I saw pictures today

[60:50] and I was confused. So I was beyond

[60:53] confused, brother Steve. I was confused

[60:56] and so but be in prayer for Betty and uh

[61:00] it seems the other infection seems to be

[61:02] doing better though, right? The

[61:03] antibiotics help with that and so praise

[61:05] the Lord for that. All right, the other

[61:07] request on this side over here. All

[61:10] right, and this section. Yes, ma'am.

[61:11] Miss Connie.

[61:17] Yeah.

[61:26] Yeah.

[61:30] Right. Pray for those in Florida that

[61:32] were hit with a hurricane and all that

[61:35] situation there as well. Okay. Their

[61:37] recovery. All right, Miss Kathy.

[61:42] Okay.

[62:04] See? Wow. Melanie

[62:08] Brandt. Melanie Brandt. Keep that in

[62:10] mind. And so, uh, pray for Brother

[62:13] Scooter. He's had some test doctor's

[62:15] visits today and they've got some next

[62:17] steps lined out for him. So, you pray

[62:19] for him as he's working on some things

[62:21] there. And so, keep that in mind.

[62:23] Continue to pray for Patty Case if you

[62:25] would as well. All right. Anyone else,

[62:28] Brother Jeff?

[62:34] Okay. How many years? 22 years. All

[62:37] right. So pray for Stephanie. She's been

[62:39] putting up with Jeff for 22 years. If if

[62:42] he makes it there by Friday, right? If

[62:44] Lord willing, he makes it to Friday,

[62:45] they'll be married 22 years. So make

[62:47] sure you wish them a happy anniversary.

[62:49] Praise the Lord for that. And so uh but

[62:52] also I I received word today of a

[62:55] student um here in our area of Oklahoma

[62:59] that had to go having some major health

[63:02] issues. They transported them to

[63:03] Houston. So we ask you to pray for that

[63:05] student and their family. uh dealing

[63:07] with a major infection, body issues, but

[63:10] they're trying to trace where that

[63:11] infection's at. And so, be in prayer for

[63:13] that student. Uh we can't give you any

[63:15] details because we're not allowed to do

[63:17] that kind of stuff, but be in prayer for

[63:19] that student and their family. Uh

[63:21] they're from our region, so pray for

[63:23] them if you would. All right. And so,

[63:25] anything on the live stream tonight,

[63:27] Brother Kenton?

[63:35] Okay.

[63:38] Okay. So, pray for Mary Wright. And so,

[63:40] they're because of the other issues that

[63:42] she deals with, they're going to keep

[63:44] her awake as they rebuild, redo that

[63:47] wrist that she fractured and broke. And

[63:49] so, pray for her. That's at nine o'clock

[63:51] in the morning tomorrow. So, pray for

[63:53] that surgery tomorrow if you would. We'd

[63:55] appreciate that as well. Okay. Any other

[63:58] requests over here in this section?

[64:04] Okay.

[64:05] Amen. So, no more treatment for the

[64:07] cancer. Amen. Right, Miss Paty.

[64:12] Miss Paty has an unspoken request. Be in

[64:15] prayer for that. All right. Any other

[64:17] ones on this side over here? Okay.

[64:21] All right. Continue to pray. Uh we had

[64:23] some folks that um dealing with

[64:26] different life situations. You know,

[64:28] there's things that they're dealing with

[64:29] and someone's cars in the shop and

[64:31] they're having to spend extra money that

[64:33] they don't have. So, for them as well.

[64:36] And uh excited for what God's doing in

[64:38] our church and in your lives. And so

[64:40] pray for one another if you would. All

[64:42] right, let's go to Lord in prayer

[64:44] tonight. Yes, sir. Brother Sam. Brother

[64:46] Sam has an unspoken request as well. All

[64:48] right. Any other requests that I missed?

[64:51] All right, let's go, Lord, in prayer

[64:53] tonight. Dear heavenly father, Lord,

[64:54] we're thankful tonight for each one

[64:55] that's here. Lord, we pray that you'd

[64:57] help us to pray for one another. Help us

[65:01] not to take for granted the

[65:05] ministry of intercessory prayer. We pray

[65:09] for those that have burdens. We pray for

[65:11] those that have needs. Lord, we pray for

[65:13] them by name. We pray for Miss Mary's

[65:15] surgery tomorrow to be with the doctors,

[65:17] be with her nerves, that everything will

[65:19] go well with that. Thankful for those

[65:21] that had treatment plans that they don't

[65:23] have to do anymore. Pray for the

[65:24] unspoken request tonight. We pray for

[65:27] Melanie Brandt dealing with the ice

[65:28] situation, God, that you would help and

[65:30] intervene there. Pray for Miss Robbiey's

[65:32] health, Lord, and Tommy's salvation that

[65:35] you'd work and intercede there. Pray for

[65:37] those that were affected by the

[65:38] hurricane, Lord, that you would provide

[65:40] and be an encouragement there and help

[65:43] there. Lord, we're we're so thankful for

[65:45] you and how you work in our lives. And

[65:48] Lord, we don't always understand what's

[65:50] on the horizon, but we know you are

[65:54] already in our tomorrow. And so Lord, we

[65:56] pray that we'd take comfort in that and

[65:58] be encouraged in that. Lord, we're

[66:00] thankful for each and everyone being

[66:02] here tonight. We pray for those that are

[66:03] out tonight. There are many that are

[66:05] traveling, many that are out sick

[66:06] tonight, God. Lord, we pray that you'd

[66:08] help them and strengthen them. Pray for

[66:10] the teenagers that were down in the gym

[66:12] tonight, God, as brother Isaiah is

[66:13] preaching and teaching them tonight.

[66:15] Lord, I pray that you'd encourage their

[66:16] hearts and lives. Lord, thank you for

[66:18] how you work and all that you do. In

[66:20] your name I pray. Amen. Want to remind

[66:23] you men Saturday 7:30 is our men's

[66:26] prayer breakfast and also brother Sam

[66:28] has an announcement for Sunday.

[66:46] >> Amen.

[67:07] Yeah. Amen. So, Sunday night we'll have

[67:11] a celebration for Miss Jennifer's

[67:12] birthday. And so, we'll do that after

[67:15] the evening service down in the

[67:16] fellowship hall. And so we'll look

[67:18] forward to that this coming Sunday

[67:20] night. And then men's prayer breakfast

[67:22] on Saturday 7:30. Men encourage you to

[67:24] come be with that officers. We have a

[67:26] meeting Saturday right after men's

[67:28] breakfast. So encourage you to be a part

[67:30] of that. Continue to pray for the

[67:32] weather. It sounds like it's raining out

[67:34] there. And so I'll try to What's that?

[67:39] >> Yep, they are. And so Saturday is the

[67:43] tabernacle encounter. Uh we've been

[67:45] mentioning that if you'd like to go Uh,

[67:47] I still have some paper tickets

[67:49] available. It is free of charge. I can

[67:51] give these to you. And so if you'd like

[67:53] to go, we have some of those. That's

[67:54] this Saturday. Exhibit times 12:00 pm to

[67:57] 6 pm. And then if you're wanting to see

[67:59] the Day of Atonement reenactments, it's

[68:01] at 1:30, 3:30, and 5:30. Again, that's

[68:04] at the Champion Convention Center

[68:06] downtown and on the fairgrounds. And so

[68:08] if you want a ticket, I've got, I think,

[68:10] six or seven left here. I can get them

[68:12] to you. If not, you can scan the QR code

[68:15] and you can get your downloaded tickets

[68:17] that way. So, let's all stand together.

[68:20] We're going to be dismissed

[68:23] by finding two or three people that you

[68:26] love and appreciate and tell them so and

[68:30] then you can be dismissed.

[68:33] Find somebody, two or three people, let

[68:35] them know you love and appreciate them

[68:39] and you can be dismissed.
