[0:00] me.
[0:00] >> It's just a lot worse. And there's some,
[0:01] you know, I
[0:03] I just think I ought to go back. I'm
[0:05] going to go back tonight and it's the
[0:07] first time they can so I can be in the
[0:08] Midwest in the morning and by then. I
[0:11] talked to Liam Panetta this morning
[0:14] about the aid package and we're working
[0:17] on that.
[0:18] >> You know how much you
[0:20] >> No.
[0:21] And frankly, whatever we do, we're going
[0:23] to have to leave open the option of
[0:24] going back for more depending on what
[0:26] the damage is.
[0:29] >> Down here in St. Louis today, we've not
[0:31] had any rain, which has been a relief to
[0:32] those who are still trying to get their
[0:34] defenses ready for the really high water
[0:36] anticipated this weekend, but it's
[0:38] proving to be a real struggle just to
[0:40] the north. ABC's Jim Wooten was out on
[0:42] the levey near Ursa, Illinois, and it
[0:44] was miserable.
[0:46] Exactly what isn't needed here. The wind
[0:49] changes and the clouds roll in from the
[0:52] north and drenched and exhausted
[0:55] National Guardsmen plot up and down the
[0:57] inside bank of the levey, checking
[0:59] carefully for the tiniest signs of
[1:01] seepage. They don't care if a little of
[1:04] the Mississippi comes through. It's the
[1:06] loss of dirt that's important. and you
[1:08] find any boils or any water bubbling
[1:10] through, we go and sandbag it, throw
[1:12] straw in there, pack it down, and make
[1:13] sure that you don't get a big channel of
[1:15] water to rode away the levey.
[1:18] >> They've been at it now for 24 hours, and
[1:21] with the new rain and the river rising,
[1:23] they're not sure they can save the
[1:25] levey, which seems altogether irrelevant
[1:27] to Dennis Sone, who's st
