[0:01] The beating of Reginald Denny today. The
[0:04] opening trial in Los Angeles.
[0:07] These Siamese twins. Can surgery save
[0:09] them? But at what cost? And the
[0:11] president begins a holiday amid the
[0:13] swells by the sea.
[0:14] >> This is NBC Nightly News with Tom Bro.
[0:19] >> Good evening. There are so many
[0:20] disturbing and enduring images from the
[0:23] Los Angeles riots of 1992, and none are
[0:25] more vivid than the vicious beating of
[0:28] truck driver Regginal Denny. Today, two

[1:18] asserted that Williams and Watson were
[1:20] in the thick of the mob, that at one
[1:22] point, Williams armed himself with a
[1:24] deadly weapon, a brick.
[1:26] >> And then Williams stepped forward
[1:29] after having plenty of time to decide
[1:33] what he's going to do.
[1:37] And from inches away,
[1:40] he hurled the brick
[1:42] with all his might into the side of
[1:45] Reginal
