[0:00] Also the greatest
[0:05] on World News Tonight this Sunday in
[0:08] Littleton, Colorado, saying goodbye
[0:15] and trying to make sense of so many
[0:17] young lives cut short. Beyond the tears
[0:21] for the children, possible tough
[0:23] consequences for the parents of the
[0:25] killers. I think that perhaps charges
[0:28] will be filed and certainly should be
[0:30] filed. And on day 33 in NATO's attack on
[0:33] Yugoslavia, hitting Serb TV again. Is it
[0:37] a legitimate target
[0:44] from ABC?
[0:47] This is World News Tonight Sunday. Good
[0:51] evening. I'm Carol Simpson. It was
[0:53] another day of mourning in Littleton,
[0:55] Colorado. A day of more tributes and
[0:58] more tears. A day that also brought new
[1:01] questions, including how much
[1:03] responsibility parents should bear when
[1:06] their children kill. We begin with a
[1:08] town engulfed in sadness. And ABC's Tom
[1:11] Foreman in Littleton.
[1:13] [Music]
[1:19] You've cried until the tears run dry.
[1:24] At the foot of the Rockies and beneath
[1:26] the mountain of sorrow, the town of
[1:28] Littleton gathered less than a mile from
[1:30] the school today, joined by thousands of
[1:32] others, some who drove hundreds of miles
[1:35] to pray and remember. Never in our
[1:38] wildest dreams did we ever imagine that
[1:42] we would be gathered here to mourn the
[1:45] loss of so many young innocent lives.
[1:49] This crime is breathtaking in its horror
[1:54] and its victims are many.
[1:57] [Applause]
[1:59] [Music]
[2:04] Many of the speakers told tales of the
[2:06] victims, beginning with the 12 students
[2:08] who were killed, of their bravery and
[2:10] their strength, their friendships and
[2:12] their families, their hopes and their
[2:14] dreams, their lives and their loss.
