[0:39] are under orders to leave the coast of
[0:41] the Carolinas for safer ground hurricane
[0:43] Bonnie is closing in the center of the
[0:46] storm is now less than 300 miles
[0:49] offshore moving in at 16 miles an hour
[0:52] Bonnie could make landfall tomorrow most
[0:55] likely Target somewhere in the Carolinas
[0:58] but hurricane watches and warnings are
[1:00] up from Georgia to Delaware a team of
[1:03] CBS news correspondents is in the
[1:05] hurricane Zone we begin with Jim Axelrod

[1:11] nearly a quarter million people are
[1:13] clearing out of Dare County North
[1:14] Carolina tonight well we're going to
[1:16] turn our keys in creating a somber
[1:19] procession on U.S 158 for most of them
[1:21] vacation is over I can't I had to go
[1:24] fishing for a week and then I'm going
[1:26] back home we've been coming down here 30
[1:28] years have been through many storms this
[1:29] is the first time we've got thrown out
[1:31] their County requested at six o'clock
[1:33] this morning that everybody evacuate it
[1:36] was pretty much a volunteer evacuation
[1:38] now they're they'll be going to a
[1:41] mandatory evacuation
